she is very sweet and nice, but as a professor she is ok. It felt like another high school class, and some of the discussions were drawn out way too long, which made me frustrated. I had no idea what my grade was until it was on my transcript. all in all, she's ok, but if i could go back I would take a different english 101 class

I took her class for ENG 101 she is simply the best English professor I ever had. She clearly tells what she is looking for in your assignments and if you do them it shouldn't be hard to get an A or B. She expects you to read about 2 chapters per week which isn't much for a college level class. I wish she thought ENG 205.

very knowledgeable and talented lecturer. 3 papers, 1 presentation, 2 tests. Super smart-knows the material . Group work every session to discuss reading. Helpful, gives good feedback. Amount of reading in the $100 textbook nearly overwhelming but some in class read only a little and did okay. Key on 1st 1/2 Female goddess , 2nd 1/2 Gilgamesh.

Lots of Reading in the $100 textbook. Interesting lecturer. Plenty of group discussion. 3 papers, 1 in class presentation, 2 tests. Takes a long time to grade stuff. You must keep up with the readings or you'll be lost. Don't goof off in class- he'll call you on it . She's a babe so try to stay focused. I'd take her again.

I had never taken a mythology class before and was expecting the Greek, Roman and Norse stuff. This class covered many other world myths. Be ready for lots of reading. You'll do two creative writing papers and one on Gilgamesh and take 2 bluebook tests. Like some other dude said she's a hottie.

For a Mythology class it is really interesting as you go way beyond the traditional roman/greek myths and have a nice selection of world myths, however you are graded on very few things and the directions can be unclear. She also takes forever to grade assignments so beware for that if it bothers you! The tests are also really hard!

Although she doesn't take attendance it's hard to pass the tests if you're not there for the lectures/class discussions. It's pretty much all group discussions and then you share your thoughts with the class. Graded on only like 4 things that take forever to go in the grade book. She's a very sweet woman who seems to like what she teaches.

She has way to many classes. The papers one has to write ( which is 2 or 3) in this class are easy but her grading is like the AOL dial-up, slow and methodical. If you want to know what you received on said paper, office hours or bug her about it. She will not have them graded before test, again bug her and make your point about grades.

She goes too fast during lectures and then makes everyone get in groups to discuss what she taught us, which isn't a lot if you didn't read. She's nice, but this class is very boring and requires way too much reading. The textbook is overpriced & isn't online. If you hate doing group work every single day, don't take this class.

The professor cost is awesome. she's such a nice person. She's very understanding of any student situations concerning your attendance or work submitted. the class was mostly based of of reading books and writing essays related to the books. most of the books are about social issues in English 101X. also sometimes she brought snacks for us.

If you're looking for an English class, this is not it. A majority of the semester felt like entry-level criminology based on a bad retelling of history. Instead of reading books and studying English or literature, we were imposed the professor's political ideals and were practically coerced into agreeing with them through the books we had to read

Prof. Cost is a great person who loves what she teaches. The assignments are easy but you get your grades back on essays pretty late. I don't enjoy this class but I do like her as a teacher. Professor Cost clearly cares about what she teaches, so it's unfortunate that she is so unorganized in her class. We literally couldn't submit our midterms because she forgot to post the assignment on canvas. She says that her class is easy-going but in reality there's no structure AT ALL. Do not take if you have other classes to worry about too.

She's a nice teacher but her class can be boring/dry. Felt like she just made up stuff on a whim for us to do to fill up the time we had in class. Also we wrote about 5 papers ranging from 4-7 pages and by the last day of the semester she had only graded 1 paper. I'd take her class again only because it's easy and she's relaxed.

Genuinely one of the sweetest professors I've ever had. Gives great feedback on essays. You only read two books and take reading quizzes on them, but the quizzes are not difficult, you only need to be vaguely familiar with the book and have a passage selected. Highly recommend, looking forward to taking another one of her classes in the future.
