Great teacher, I love her! She is hilarous and always there for her students. Class is mandatory, but she makes it fun and interesting so going isnt bad at all. I would take any class that she teaches because she really just makes everything so interesting. She never judges anyone and is a truly fair grader. I Highly Reccomend Her!!!!!

Dr. D transformed me from a book hating engineer into someone who only slightly dislikes reading and writing. It doesn't sound like much, but if any professor is going to change your attitude about literature, this is the woman to do it.

This is the second class I have taken from Dr. D. and I wish I could take ALL comp and lit with her. Prof. D. is a brilliant teacher, fair grader, and the course really is all about learning. I was excited to come to class everyday. Bonuses: a sharp dresser (looks just like a prof!) with a wicked sense of humor.

I am a student at a major university and took this class during the summer to catch up on my GE. Dr. Diamond is the best writing teacher I have ever had, she could teach at any school and be succesful. She knows how to lead students to actually care about literature and writing and showed us how we can apply these things to our own interests.

good teacher. 10 little quizzes. class was kind of boring. the 10 page paper sucks but it goes by pretty easy. every other class you bring in the page requirement she asks for and before you know it you're done

This is the 3rd class I have taken from Prof D. and I can't say ENOUGH good things about her! I had almost no interest in English and literature before but now I'm actually thinking about changing my major to Eng. Her gothic class (261) is sooooo interesting! Should be mandatory for all Bukcs students!

One small thing I wanted to express about Dr. Diamond. She is encouraging. When you're so nervous about the paper you have to write, and that feeling you get once it's completed and handed in, not knowing you if you did well enough. When she hands them back, they have notes, helpful hints, and excited thoughts, throughout the paper. She's awesome.

I didn't think she was that great. She's a nice teacher but kind of soft-spoken. I was bored in her class because we went over how to use a database like 100 times. And many of the stories I had already read in high school. She doesn't let you email her papers if you're absent; you have to submit a hard copy in her inbox. Okay teacher.

Dr. Diamond is the ONLY ONLY professor to take for Comp111. Unlike the previous rater, I can say that the assignments honestly rock and they all lead to being successful on the final paper. So what if she's quiet? Listen!

I adore her! she makes a difficult class as easy as it can be, isnt a hard grader, gives extra credit, breaks down the research paper...unless you dont read/write assignments you have to pass this class (or get an A). she's kind, funny, super smart and accommodating. I'm taking Comp2 online and Dr. D. is just fantastic. The assignments are clear and she has extra chat hours to help with the first paper. She answers mesages and emails almost immediately. Highly rec.

I was teriffied to take this class online, thank god I happened to choose Dr Diamond's class. It is a LOT of work but assignments are clear and it seems that she is always avaiilable to help us. Extra office hrs in chat, answers email right away, and encourages us not to quit when online gets to overwhelming.

Great teacher - she wants you to succeed. The class itself requires a lot of writing (no duh)- and the final paper is 10 pages min. But she is very available to her students and offers helpful feedback. She is very enthusiatic about literature and writing and it shows - helps make the class more interesting.

Dr.D is wonderful teacher and is really passionate about her work. She's always available to help. The work load was a bit insane(req 10pg paper)so keep up with it! The only con was the timeliness of her grading. Dr. D. graded the 1st 3 assignments and the rest were never graded and returned including the 10pg paper, so that was stressful.

One of the best at BCCC, be prepared to learn and be challenged. Not a prof for slackers.

Honestly, my favorite professor thus far. Such a beautiful person inside and out! Intelligent and awesome. She has a Tom Goes to the Mayor sticker on her office door....c'mon she's awesome. I had her for women's studies and she doesn't enforce her own opinion like some teachers do or dull the subject. Highly recommend this woman. Love her!

Awesome teacher! I absolutely hate English but she kept it interesting and easy to follow. It was an online course and each week she left clear directions on what was due, etc. Her feedback was clear and she was very down to earth. I would definitely recommend her - but be prepared to write papers every week.

Professor Diamond was such a nice teacher! She is very helpful, and her class is fairly easy going, honestly didn't mind attending. Just complete the assignments on time and thats really all there is too it, she doesn't over load you with homework and you usually have plenty of time to do it. Definitely would take her again.

I would definitely recommend her because she is really helpfully, she will give good feedback after a paper and she grades fairly. As long as you do the work you will get higher than a B. The pop quizs really helpfully the topic for essays are really easy. You need both of the books in class. I do not like Comp, She made this class interesting!!

I took her for COMP 110 online. She only gives a few papers that are pretty easy. The only tough part is that she gives three timed quizzes. Tough grader, but she tells you what you need to improve on the next one. Slow grader!!!!

Overall, a good teacher. The assignments are tough but she gives you plenty of time to complete them. Only complaint is it takes her awhile to grade papers and assignments. I waited over a month to get an essay back.

She was AMAZING!!! I wish I knew about her before. I had a crammed course with her and if you just do the work and try she will help anyway she can!

I took her online and it was really easy. We had a couple of class discussions, quizzes on reading (10 pts) and papers that at most were 5 pages so not too hard (I believe 4 papers). The reading in the books are short chapters not an entire novel. Most of the papers/discussions were based on documentaries you have to watch (for free).

took this class online, and this was one of the easiest classes i've ever taken. She's very clear on what the assignment is and how it should be written. If she feels you can do better she will most likely give you a second chance instead of just giving you a bad grade. I love this professor, i would take her for Comp 111 but she has a waiting list

Prof. Diamond was one of my favorite professors. Class was very laid back and topics were easy to relate to. Most papers were based on documentaries we watched in class. (Interesting ones too!) About 5 papers that are not very long but they were easy topics to grasp after watching the documentaries. Very upset I couldn't get into her comp 111!

I took an online class for the first time and took her for Comp110. She gets back to you as quick as she can if you need any help and she is very flexible. As long as you do what is being asked of you in her essays you will get a good grade. It's as simple as that. Can't wait to take her again, online, for Comp111!

Set clear guidelines for the class. Class was more self guided then lecture. However professor was extremely accessible and willing to assist.

I HATE WRITING! one of my biggest anxiety's next to math. diamond made the stories fun to read, and the writing clear and easy. I wish I took her for 107 and 110. takes a while for the grading to come back but this class made writing a breeze.

Took 4 wk. wintercourse. Really good teacher, asgmts. are straight forward. Very fair grader, gives good feedback. Somewhat slow grader. Makes herself super accessible/responds fast. Would definitely recommend.

The Professor is clear about what is required in each essay. She gives plenty of time to finish typing the essays and writing rough drafts for each essay. She is unbiased and lenient in grading.

Really good english professor- had her for an online class. She gives really specific feedback on every essay (but doesn't take off a lot of points for mistakes) that you can use on essays moving forward. She gives plenty of time to write and her class is very structured and organized. Would definitely recommend her!

Passed this class with an A. Shes a very caring professor. Very open to help whenever you have a question. Lots of readings to do, but theyre interesting stories! Quizzes and assignments are very straightforward. Took this class in an 8 weeks module and passed, so theres absolutely no reason to fail her class

A pretty easy going class and professor. If you need something, just email you and she will be happy to talk to you. A lot of reading, not that you necessarily have to do it. Not graded on many things, so make sure you're checking in and doing what needs to be done or else your grade will plummet. Otherwise, good class.

Professor Diamond is the BEST. I cannot recommend her class enough!! Assignments are straight forward and she is an easy, but fair grader. If you do the assignments you will be golden. I learned so much in the class and she gives you all the resources needed to become a better writer!!!

I am not a fan of English, but professor Diamond made it very manageable. Good feedback on your previous papers, so you can improve for future assignments. The final paper was not as intense as you might think. Use the tutoring center for editing help and you'll do fine in her class.

D is decent, not actually not as much writing in this class as I anticipated. Kinda a lot of reading. 3 papers, 3 non-graded in-class discussions, like 5 online quizzes. Also they're into like horror stuff. Not too hard of a grader. Tbh class can be a little boring,

Professor Diamond clearly likes teaching. Gives good feedback. You have do a couple of papers based upon the readings. Class not that hard, just read material, & write according to criteria and expectations, and be sure to "cite" your sources properly. The readings are interesting for most part; some you need to read 2-3 times to figure it out.

She was really encouraging of her students, and offered help in future endeavors. She was the first person to encourage me to go to a University, a goal I didn't really know I had, until she mentioned it.

Professor Diamond was a great teacher for the online comp 2 summer class. She would give us short stories to read and take a quiz at the beginning of each week. she expected us to remember specific quotes for the quizzes and would only have ten minutes to find the answers. The essays were straightforward and would sometimes offer credit for editing

Took to escape Prof Luciano since they talked about things other than just food and corn. Had a delightful time and while the class was a little tricky, I got actual useful feedback and help. Talks about varying topics and the workload is not huge. Not many essays and in general was an overall positive experience that rekindled my love for writing

Took second class in a row with her and would take again if needed. She is very caring, gives nice feedback. Essays are hard to write. No group projects in this class. She posts all needed material on canvas, but not the short stories. You can google most of them, however one i had to request at public library to access it.

This professor was pretty good. It's an English class so there were a lot of reading assignments and quizzes. I took this class online and am glad I did. Essays are pretty lengthy as well. Instructions are also really clear idk why the rating before mine is so mean.

The course is very straightforward. She gives you the course schedule at the start allowing you to know what you have to read and what assignment will follow with it. There's a couple quizzes, a couple discussion posts, and two papers which she gives plenty of time for. It helps that the professor is very nice and wants you succeed. I recommend.

She zoomed with me and went through each steps of the assignment and did not get upset if I still did not understand. She was kind, patient, and so sweet and caring. At the start of the semester, I was nervous about taking a comp class completely online, but after this semester, I recommend taking her; she is quick to answer any questions, looks at rough drafts, gives so many resources, and has clear instructions on assignments. She is the best COMP prof. I have had at bucks. Everything is so organized on her canvas modules ( I took her class online). Great syllabus. In the online class we had assignments due every Monday. It was very easy to manage my time and the assignments given. There is a good amount of reading, but that should be expected with any English class.
