this proffesor rocks! she knows her material and makes it exciting i took her class at 8AM and i actually stayed awake! she almost killed me for being late but she's suc ha sweetheart...and a great dresser you go professor!

professor durando. the most unvconventional of teaching styles. gets u thinking in ways u never thought possible, never a dull moment in the class and will always entertain yet educate u. makes learning fun and definitely productive. learned alot in that class, highly recommend taking her for 111 and 151.

Prof Durando is an amazing teacher.I had her for both ENG 111 and 151 and I wish I had profs like her for all my classes.She loves the subject she teaches, and makes you love it too.Shes not only a teacher, but a friend who only wants the best for her students.Her class is never boring,and her teaching techniques help you become an amazing writer.

Durando is one of the best english professors at CSI. Not one class is ever boring. She lets you re-write papers if you are not satisfied with your grades and she doesnt give any tests.

Durando made class great. She was fun and she doesn't treat you like kids, which a lot of professors still do. She helped me out with my editing skills, without which I would not have had the confidence to become an English major. I owe her so much. She is so far my favorite English teacher. If you can TAKE HER!

Pretty good Teacher

How do you spell amazing? D-U-R-A-N-D-O!! She is incredible. I learned so much in this class. She is the first prof to show me how to improve my writing through her comments and personal help instead of just giving a grade! My writing has improved so much thanks to her. My grades went up in other classes b/c of the skills she taught me.

Very good teacher. I learned so much more from her class than in any other class I've taken at CSI. Plus, she is extremely HOT. Highly recommend taking her class.

I enjoyed going to class. I feel that my writing skills have improved significantly. However, I was a little upset with my final grade. I didn't think I deserved the final grade I received.

She is the best professor you can ever have. She understands the students in a personal and productive manner, which makes her soooooooo amazing. She's really down to earth. I LOVE YOU DURANDO

Awesome teacher. She teaches you as though you are one of her peers rather than just a student. Her lectures are more like discussion rather than a lecture, really allowing you to understand and get into the class material.

She is wonderful! If you do not take prof Durando for an English course you will be at a major disadvantage. She has helped me improve my writing so much. Classes are very interesting and organized.

She was good but had her favorites. Just when you think you improved you get a crappy grade. Wasn't even worth arguing over it. If someone didn't do well then it reflects on the teacher. Such a shame they don't recognize hard work. Glad it's done and over with. Worked hard on extra credit still did not matter. When you pay you want a good grade

She is a VERY effective professor. If you're showing up because you pay for school, and need to get a quick degree - don't waste her time. If you want to learn how to become a better writer, because you understand that most of your college career is writing - TAKE HER! There is always one professor you'll NEVER forget.. she is without a doubt mine.

LOVE HER. I had her for sls 301 & 302. She's amazing and truly brings the text to life. Helpful and understanding. It's a shame she hasn't been offered any SLS classes for the fall/spring. She's an asset to the program.

one of THE best professors on campus...absolutely funny...was in a class where girls outnumbered boys like 20-4 and she had a feminist point of view so it sometimes had a "what's wrong with men" atmosphere...but if you're an english major, definitely try to take her...the work aint a cakewalk but she helps out through email and positive criticism..

She is an amazing teacher, woman, and role model. I aspire to be a professor like her one day. She goes above and beyond to help everyone.She is very dedicated to her job.I am learning how to write better, as well as, enjoy ancient culture. Professor Durando was one of the best professors that i've ever had. She is absolutely hysterical and really cares about her students. You have to work pretty hard but it is worth. For the first time I actaully feel like i earned my good grades. Everyone should take her!

She is an amazing teacher. She is helpful, interesting, and smart. I would recommend her for any class but especially eng151. Class goes very fast because she is entertaing and seems to really love her job. She is by far the best teacher I have had so far in college.

great professor!she makes everything interesting & actually made me enjoy reading.although she is nice, she's tough!ridiculouly high standards in grading,& she says her finals are easy,but they're actually very hard.i was doing fine until the final,it brought me down an entire letter grade!the writing she assigns should be enough without the final!

She is absolutely amazing! Every class is filled with interesting lessons and stories. She keeps the class awake every time. If you don't mind really doing the work and want to improve your writing skills, do yourself a favor and take her class. I loved it, but remember you really have to work for your grade. I loved this class. She really gets you participating. When you first take her she WILL give out a writing assignment each week just because she wants slackers to drop the class, then she doesn't give that much. You should read when she says to because she gives out pop quizzes. She's very fair and hysterical. You'll never want to leave.

good professor definitely teaches you..but no comment she's a risk if english is your major take her if you want to take her for credits I advise you not to. She doesn't let anything fly by. Strict teacher, but really nice.( love hate relationship )

This is one of the professors that you must take her class. Her class is by no mean easy, but it is fun, engaging, exciting, and you shall learn a lot. Prof. Durando should be teaching at Harvard, or Yale. But I'm glad she is teaching at csi at the moment. Take her class, and if you take Bio, clone her. We need many more like her.

I took her two years ago and she was the best english professor I have ever taken! She taught me how to write and made the class fun (the paper topics are the best!). I learned to think outside the box. Her assignments are actually interesting! You'll love her! TAKE HER!

Pro. Durando is an amazing professor however she does not tolerate non-sense from any student. Although her lesson plans are very intersting and funny s well as personable..she is definetly a scholar..wonderful professor.

Very good teacher, but she won't take any bull. She is great at correcting work and your ability as a writer will improve because of this class; I can promise you.

Best professor at CSI.

I was in the honors class with prof. Durando and I must say, she is awesome. I learned a lot in her class and every assignment (no matter the difficulty) was worthwhile. She makes you really strive for the A. This was one of the top three classes I've taken at CSI. I love English, and Durando will inspire you to love it too. She is also hysterical.

Had her class at 8AM, what a wake up call that was lol Great teacher that definitely knows her stuff. Great sense of humor and don't be late.. bring in a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks if you are. That will be all.

Great Professor! I can't believe I passed 111 and 151 and no one taught me how to write. Her comments on your work are so helpful--you become a better writer with each essay. There are alot of smaller assignments and three large papers. I have finally learned to write a college essay thanks to her. Lessons are interesting! Class is fun! Take her

She comes off mean the first day, but that is definitely not the case. She makes class discussion engaging and interesting. It may be a lot of work, but she is willing to work with her students that care about their grades. As long as your writing skills improve and you participate you will surely get an A. I loved her and her class!

great professor, but don't take her if you're looking for an A without a lot of visible effort and progress. if ur already good at what u do and can think critically, take another class because unless u show improvement, regardless of how smart u were before her class, ur not getting an A. h/e if u have her, u'll learn something new.

Very helpful and intelligent. Tough on her students and you will work for your grade. You will come out a MUCH stronger writer. Eng 151 isn't a big deal but if you plan on taking courses involved with heavy duty papers I would suggest you invest...

By far the best prof at CSI. She comes off strict so the losers who aren't willing to do college work can drop the class & not waste her time & take up air & space in the room. She then eases a little but she will NOT take any bs from any1. She's EXTREMELY intelligent & will help you become a better writer. Good grade=hard work. She's worth it!!

The best professor at CSI by far. She is NOT easy by all means and makes you work for your grade but is a excellent professor. She is very interesting and hilarious in class. Do your work and put effort in your wok and you will do fine in her class. ALL education majors should take Durando at least once during their time at CSI.

Great professor! Supports students throughout the class, as well as in their futures. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and gets students engaged in literature/research. My writing improved drastically in Professor Durando's class. She is passionate and genuinely cares about her work, as well as he students. Willing to let students revise papers.

she is very strict when it comes to assignments.If u dont like to read or write essays dont take her class but its worth it. I hated doing both and I walked out of her classing knowing how to read and write.I love her she is real and will tell u how it is. I recommend everyone to take her!after taking her class I found out alot about myself

Best professor on campus!!!!! She makes the class fun and easy. Don't be intimidated by her first impression on the first day of class. She is a fair grader. As long as you make your paper interesting and have proper grammar, you will do well.

Professor Durando is easily my favorite college professor. She pushed me and motivated me to do well because she knew I had it in me. She was there for me whenever I had a problem and she's just an overall great person. Take her if you can! Made me such a better writer and person in general.

I never took her as a professor, but she is not only a great educator, but she knows what she is talking about. She advised me and gave me great advise on the next step to take, once I leave college. She is inspirational and gives great advise to all English Majors. She is very relatable and she actually cares!!!!

Every professor should strive to be Jennifer Durando. If you plan on not working hard , do not take her class. She is a harsh grader and she will chew you out, but its worth it.

She is a very AMAZING professor, if i can take her again, I WOULD. She is very understanding and I love how real she can get. She is a tricky grader but she does it for a reason. Some of the lectures she gives to her students is very good to keep in mind. she has been through so much that she has a lot of crazy stories. I enjoyed her so much!

Professor Durando is honestly one of the best professors at CSI. If you're an English major or even an Education major i highly recommend her course. She's a tough grader but she explains the assignments clearly. As long as you follow the given instructions and read the short stories (most of which can be found online even) you'll do fine!

Professor Durando is most definitely someone who will inspire you to do better not only in class, but with your path in life. I wish she would provide feedback on some essay because I personally took my time on them. Overall, the hardest part about her class were the quizzes, especially if you did not read the book.

Jennifer Durando is a serious badass and her class is one that you won't regret taking. If you as a student are not ready to do college level work then you are not ready for her class. If you want to be ready to do college level work then she will help you but you have to want it. She is beyond inspirational and an amazing person overall.

She's honestly one of the best professors at CSI. She is the seriously so inspiring and truly a gem of a person. However, do not take that for granted. She will only want to help you if you want to help yourself!!!
