I couldnt have got a better replacement teacher from COMM111 she stepped in last min and i seriously ADORE HER. I never thought teachers really cared, WELL WRONG cause she is the most caring, most understand professor i will be taking more of her classes even if i have to go to CASCADE instead of SE CAMPUS she is worth the travel
Jennifer was an outstanding teacher. She made the classroom environment fun, relaxing, and easy going. The textbook required for her class is extremely cheap and a great read! Attendance is mandatory but she is very lenient towards a student having to miss a class or two. The work load is very light and most assignments are turned in through email.
We had two typed out assignments in the beginning of the term! Then we had 4 speeches. And a take home final!
Jennifer is a laid back teacher. If you are uncomfortable with someone who shares about their personal life, you may not like her. But she is caring, gives very little writing work, and grades each student individually based on their growth during the course. Plus, the take-home final was super helpful during a crazy finals week.
Jennifer really cares about your academic success and is willing to help you in whatever way you need to achieve it. I wouldn't call her class an easy A, but if you actually show up and do your work, and genuinely try to improve, you will have no problem getting a good grade.
Jennifer was such a great professor to have. A relief in my first full semester in years. Everyday we came to class she was joking even with all the things life threw her way this term. She graded each student based on their growth rather than all on the same scale. She focused on equity rather than equality; an important distinction in teaching.
Jennifer is super caring. She understands that students have responsibilities outside of school to and is understanding of that. Public speaking is terrifying, but Jennifer is easy-going about it. Doesn't grade you on your speech, but grades you on the improvements of your speeches overall. About 3 homework assignments out of the book.
I absolutely recommend this class to other students. Jennifer is the best public speaking teacher Ive ever had! Jennifer is a kind, funny, and amazing teacher. In our class, everybody likes her teaching style. I always feel relaxed and enjoyable in Jennifers class. Public Speaking is a tough course, but Jennifer made it easy to do.
I would recommend anybody take her as a public speaking professor. She is a really funny teacher, doesn't grade you on your speech but grade you on your improvement. Best teacher at PCC SE so far.
Jennifer Ethridge is the MOST AMAZING professor Ive had the pleasure to meet and learn from, her personality alone is worth taking any of her classes! Jennifers methods of instructing has intense learning capacity, however; she isn't hardcore or extremely demanding! Her added humor to the classes rounds off everything she is so funny and cheerful
she makes the classes so fun. ;0
Jennifer is an amazing instructor. She is what all instructors should be like. She cares about each student. Every single one! I took her Public Speaking class for PCC spring term 2020; she holds amazing zoom meetings. Great remote instructor. She is also funny. You will love her class!
I have taken Jennifer twice and I absolutely love her, she makes the class relaxed and motivated to learn. The homework is very relevant and helps build skills that will always be useful in any career. Her remote classes this term (covid) shows her commitment to teaching students. I hope PCC starts giving her more classes to teach in the future!
If you don't want to take a comm class, but have to, and it's free at PCC, it might be worth it. If you want to actually improve your public speaking skills, KEEP LOOKING. After 5 weeks (of an 8-week term), 2 speeches, and several essays, we still haven't received any written or verbal feedback, and Ethridge has never given a speech.
6 weeks into an 8 week term and I have yet to get any feedback or grading. She spends a lot of class chitchatting and doesnt control the classroom. She gives extra credit for EVERYTHING, including tons of things that have little to do with academic performance, rendering an A grade meaningless. Im only learning from the textbook, not from class.
Jennifer hasn't taught us about public speaking, given us any feedback on our work, or demonstrated how to give a speech. This was by far the least informative course I've had at PCC. The textbook is "The Natural Speaker." I didn't love it, but it's a solid introduction to public speaking. If you want to learn, skip this class and get the book.
Jennifer is a great professor. She is always available, even on the weekends. She is by far the most responsive instructor I have had to date. I would defiantly take another class from her. She is funny and keeps things interesting. She really cares about her students and it shows through her actions and willingness to go above and beyond for them.
I have been taking her COMM111 class over this summer (online due to COVID) and she has been nothing short of phenomenal. Her lectures keep me engaged, she truly cares about her students, and the level of respect she shows for them is something hard to find. I highly recommend taking her class if you can.
Jennifer has a great, positive attitude, and she made the adjustment to remote learning a painless experience for her students. She communicates well and shows genuine interest in her students success. I highly recommend her communication courses.
Jennifer is my favorite professor. She is very funny, caring, and always manages to brighten my day up when I am not feeling well. I had her class through the Zoom app and I enjoyed it a lot. What makes a professor a good one is when they have feedback, Jennifer was always up to date with the feedback and kept us in contact through D2L. Best Profe
Jennifer is the Best!! If you have anxiety about speech this is the class for you. Jennifer will keep you laughing thru the whole class. Small amount of reading and writing. She is very kind about late work. The final is a piece of cake...I definitely would take her again and again.
By far one of my favorite teachers I've ever had. She made the learning process through her course very enjoyable. She is super chill and easy going but you won't pass her class if you don't show up or turn in the assignments. She is very funny, makes tons of jokes. It's a communications class so expect to talk and be talked to.
I was a little iffy about taking this course online due to Covid and I am so glad I took it. Jennifer always makes class exciting and interesting. On multiple accounts my other family members will come and listen in on my zoom meeting! Jennifer is very caring and understanding of her students and does her job with a passion.
Absolutely love her class. I am currently taking this class and had some worries about doing speeches and that the course was online. I had absolutely nothing to worry about she makes class fun and allows everyone to get to know each other to feel more comfortable during speeches. I 100% am taking Jennifer again next term.
Jennifer is an amazing instructor whos genuinely cares for her students. Makes her class's engaging while your learning. Shes always available and accommodating if anything is going on in life. Shes truly became my favorite professor I've ever had. If you need a communications class 100% recommend you take her, you wont regret it.
Ms. Ethridge is an amazing professor. I took a public speaking class with her and it was easily my favorite class of the term. She is the nicest professor ever, and she really cares about her students. I can't recommend her enough.
Jennifer was my professor for COMM-111. She is hilarious, respectful, kind, and provides a comfortable environment to learn in. In addition, she makes sure that her students work for their grade. I would definitely recommend other students to take her class!
Jennifer Ethridge is my professor for COMM 111, she is absolutely the best teacher ever! She is caring, inspirational, respectful, and knows how to make class fun. She is a truly caring person and actually cares for her students. If you're looking to take a communication class, I 100% recommend taking her class, you won't regret it.
Jennifer made class super fun! She made sure to check in with every student to make sure they were doing okay. She is the most caring professor I have had. The assignments were always very clear and easy to follow. Take this class it is so worth it!
Jennifer is such an amazing professor, she is genuine, sweet, and cares about her students. Her class is so enjoyable, she makes speeches and class fun, and I've learned a lot. You will not regret taking her class I promise you, and the workload is very reasonable. The best class I have taken at PCC in the two years I've attended, she's awesome!
As the term developed this class became such a sweet and inspiring community where I looked forward to every class and will genuinely miss meeting together. Jennifer asked/assigned such beautiful questions to explore about ourselves- they helped me grow and understand myself. She is a wonderful teacher and is sincerely kind, caring and respectful.
Amazing and compassionate teacher! she has an amazing sense of humor.
Jennifer genuinely cares about her students. She addresses each person in class and wants everyone to feel welcome. The assignments are very specific and have given me tools to become a more effective communicator. Weekly reading and assignments are very manageable.
I've had Jennifer for 111 & 214. She's a great motivator & empathizer. She genuinely cares about all her students. The classes are unique and motivational. Homework is manageable. The concepts you will learn will be utilized both in and out of class. Don't be hesitant to enroll in her class; she is by far one of the best professors I've had!
Jennifer was a fun and caring teacher. The lectures were interesting and included a lot of ted talks then discussing what we watched. The homework was a few essays that you were given a lot of prep time to complete and she was very generous if you communicated that you needed more time. Overall just a wonderful teacher.
Great way to ease into public speaking. She allows people to present in low pressure situations and is encouraging and positive to all.
Jennifer is an amazing teacher. The course work was always straightforward and she did a good job of explaining what we would be doing each week. On top of the work itself being straightforward and well explained she is very charismatic and always brings an amazing aura to class that is uplifting. I would recommend to anyone take this class! 11/10
Jennifers class was so much fun. All the lectures were fun and easy going and it made for a class that was overall really enjoyable. I would highly recommend anyone who needs their comm credit take it with Jennifer. She loves all of her students and makes sure everybody feels welcome!
Jennifer is amazing instructor. I, myself is a shy person but I find the class very relax and enjoyable. Besides, she is hilarious. Our class have a lot of fun. The workload is nothing. Assignment every 2 weeks ( read 2 chapter, answer some questions). 4 speeches total. 2 is P/NP. Highly recommended A++
Best professor I've ever had! Seriously, Jennifer's one of a kind. She is kind, funny, and engaging. This was my first public speaking class, and I suffer from terrible speech anxiety. Her class was so awesome that by the end, I was looking forward to giving speeches!
Professor Jennifer is a gem of a teacher! Easy going and very understanding when it comes to tough issues that can get in the way of a students life. She is always 100% willing to work with you to make you time in her class worth while and fun. All in all she really cares and comes from an honest place when it comes to offering a good time. :)
Jennifer is sooooo sweet and so funny. She defiantly makes an environment where you don't feel pressured. I am planning on taking another class with her as she is so easy and so flexible and wants the best for her students!
Jennifer is an amazing teacher. She makes a scary topic of stage fright somehow light and fun!
The presentations take work to prepare but it's all easy and Jennifer is great. Lots of laughing.
Jennifer Ethridge is an amazing teacher! She makes the class fun, and the homework is very reasonable. I cannot recommend this course with her more!!
Awsome professor, super friendly, supportive, and downright hilarious. If I had to pick one professor to teach all of my classes in university it would be Professor Ethridge.
You can tell how much Jennifer loves teaching and she makes it clear with her level of engagement as well as her dedication to making coursework/overall expectations very clear. You will feel really cared for in her class, but you'll also just have a lot of fun! I looked forward to class every week because of how supportive, open, and funny she is.
Jennifer was an amazing Comm 111 teacher! She was truly involved with her students and wanted to see each one of them grow. She is hilarious, caring, and super empathetic! I definitely recommend taking her!
Classes are very off-topic & unprofessional. Often derails on tangents about self-proclaimed empathy and humor & about "negativity" which she apparently has a "zero-tolerance policy" for. Yet, on multiple occasions, negatively criticized teaching styles of other professors & past students who felt attacked by her overbearing sense of communication.
Jennifer is a teacher who makes the class fun but to where youre still able to learn.
Very caring and sweet human. She cares about you as a student and wants to help you succeed! She wants to hear your thoughts, you need to participate. Also, a very patient instructor. The class wasn't super challenging, but the assignments and group discussions were interesting.
She is a professor who cares about her students succeeding. The idea of public speaking had me nervous and I waited till the last min to take this course as it was mandatory to graduate. I am so happy I chose her. She made the class fun. She made the speeches not so difficult and had the freedom to choose a topic. HIGHLY recommend her!
To those whom it may concern, Jennifer Ethridge is an amazing professor and the best one I have ever had! She cares about all of her students, wants everyone to succeed, is patient, teaches passionately and whole heartedly, empathetic, gives amazing feed back and is hilarious. I highly recommend taking her class! Very Respectfully, PCC Student X
I took Jennifer's COMM 111 class this summer and I had a blast. She is super kind and caring, and makes the class feel like a breeze. She is totally accessible outside of class and responds to your questions within a day usually. If you are nervous about public speaking and want do get a good grade I highly recommend Jennifer.
This was a mandatory class and I am glad that she is the teacher that I got. she was an awesome teacher she wanted to make sure that all of her students passed the class. She spent extra time with any student that needed.
Public Speaking was a required class for my major I usually get nervous speaking in front of people. But Jennifer created a safe place and get better on day one. The energy of her classroom was joyful and supportive of everyone learning journey. If you need this class Then Jennifer is the teacher to have !!!
This was a required class for my degree and I'm so glad I took this class with Jennifer. She is kind and understanding. She does everything she can to foster a light, fun, and accepting atmosphere. She is very accessible outside of class and very willing to work with you. She wants nothing more than to see her students succeed.
Jennifer is an incredible professor. This is my second class with her, and I can't wait to take another. She cares so deeply about each student, and her kindness and sense of humor absolutely make my day. I always look forward to going to her class. Besides her amazing attitude, she also makes herself available if you need ANYTHING. Take her class!
Jennifer is not like any professor I've ever had, but I mean that in a positive way. She is funny and makes the classes so enjoyable. She is very understanding and while the coursework got a little overwhelming at times, it's not super hard to get it all done. She does take a while to grade, but she's also lenient on deadlines for students.
Jennifer is an incredible professor who is a hilarious and profoundly caring teacher. She develops a great classroom environment. She's very flexible with due dates and grading. You need to do quite a few papers, but it's manageable.
If you are taking a communications class, take Jennifer! She will probably go down as my favorite professor, as she and her class always left me having a better day. I will miss her class very much. As long as you try, you will succeed in her class.
Lots of reading and papers but she tries to keep things short and easy. You must complete 5 speeches in order to pass the class. Very particular about some things, but overall a really nice person. I found that most of the Zoom classes were a waste of time since she sort of talks through it all, but she gets students comfortable.
Jennifer is an amazing professor. I've had her for both COMM111 and COMM214, both classes were introspective and helped with every day communication skills. If you want a COMM prof that cares about your growth, Jennifer is the one! Journals, written assignments and speeches all have a purpose and she is a fair grader. She wants you to do well!
I took her Com111 class, Jennifer is a great professor. She takes her work seriously and is passionate about what she does. She gives you a good amount of work with her speeches that you would enjoy. She is funny as well and brings enthusiasm. I thank her for the lessons and advice she gave me in class. I would take her class again.
I took interpersonal communication for Spring 2023. If you want to earn an A while also having a good time in class, Jennifer Ethridge is your professor. Beyond just being hilarious and approachable, she's also incredibly understanding. Her lectures are engaging and she always incorporates real-life examples to ensure everyone is keeping up.
This was the best re-introduction to group communication I could have hoped for! Jennifer is so charismatic, she will make you laugh while delivering such important lessons. I hadn't heard of a course offering lessons on grief, but this went above my expectations. I look forward to taking more classes with professor Ethridge!
She was the best professor I have ever had. Homework was easy and extremely manageable. Very flexible with deadlines and is understanding. It didn't feel like class more like a community where everyone is welcome! Wish I could take her classes again.
Jennifer was an amazing professor that I will never forget. She was hilarious and would crack jokes all the time and I could not help but laugh every time. I truly felt so connected with everyone and it felt like we built a community. The best zoom class I've ever taken. Definitely recommend taking interpersonal with Jennifer!!!
Jennifer is an extraordinary communications professor whose positivity, flexibility, and genuine care create a captivating learning environment. Her humor, guidance, and dedication make class enjoyable and assignments manageable. She fosters a supportive community, nurturing academic growth and personal development. Truly a thoughtful person!
Jennifer made this class ending up being my favorite class of the term and is one of the BEST and most understanding professors I've had. Along with a great sense of humor, she makes her students' success as her priority and is flexible and supportive of their needs. This class helps to build confidence and skills for future careers.
LOVE Jennifer! She is super sweet and very accessible outside of class. She cares a lot for her students and WILL notice if you do not show up for class and will reach out of concern. She's hilarious and always cracks her mom jokes in class. She keeps things pretty easy and gives out A LOT of extra credit so there is no way you won't get an A.
I am happy I choose Jennifer as my instructor for this course. She was a very nice and sweet instructor. I have gained a lot more confidence while being in her class. She has an easy course and is very organized with the materials for her course. Jennifer pushes and believes in her all of students. I definitely would take her class again!
She's a kind person, but I didn't learn much about Interpersonal Communication from Jennifer. Materials included a lot of religious and outdated stuff. Class time was so poorly managed we didn't get to many topics in the curriculum. Grades/feedback was nonexistent. Doesn't use technology well. If you actually want to learn, take a different class.
Jennifer's class was amazing, she gives great feedback. She is accessible after school hours. We went over great materials, one of them being 5 love languages. Jennifer doesn't talk about religion or anything that makes her students feel uncomfortable, she's uplifting. She is such a free spirit person who really cares about all of her students.
Jennifer is probably my favorite professor I've had at PCC. She's so funny, and so sweet, and she gave me so much support throughout the term. I 100% would recommend her to anyone who enjoys a relational environment, and likes dynamic discussions and engaging lectures, aka if you want to have fun, take a class with Jennifer!
Jennifer is super funny and cares a ton about her students! She's a very understanding and forgiving instructor, extremely flexible with deadlines, putting her students and their wellbeing first. She makes public speaking genuinely fun and not a subject to be scared of. Highly recommend her!
Bro this Prof is actually so funny and nice. Easy A plus if taken online, you get to see her two cats!! She also lets the class decide all together if we need extra time on assignments and gives out a ton of extra credit. If you have to take COMM 111, I would 100% take this class rather than other Profs. DON'T HESITATE just take her class, trust.
Jennifer is literally the nicest and most understanding professor EVER. She's an EXTREMELY easy grader and gives out TONS of extra credit. Such an easy A+++++ as LONG as you show up to class! She's very funny and shows her cats all the time. Plus she makes tons of funny jokes about her ex husband.
Jennifer is an amazing instructor to have for Public Speaking. Not only is she very kind and understanding, but she teaches the class in a very simple and fun way. As long as you put in genuine effort into your speeches, it's very easy to get an A. If you're scared of speaking in front of people, take her class! She'll destroy your fears :)
Quite literally one of the nicest instructors I have ever had. Responses to emails are prompt and she cares a LOT about her students. Only thing is that she takes a while to grade but she's a very easy grader so that makes up for it. She wants you to put in effort but as long as you try your best, you'll get an A. 10/10!
As a DPP student from OSU, I can confidently say that Public Speaking with Jennifer is one of the easiest classes you will ever take in college. It's super fun and she builds up your confidence so much as a public speaker. Most of the class is graded on participation and trying your best so it's a very easy A. You learn a lot about yourself!
Jennifer is one of the best teachers you will ever have. Even when you're sad, she will make you laugh until you think you'll die. She cares so much about her students and makes sure they feel respected and accomplished for their hard work. She's a very easy grader and gives out so much extra credit on top so it's almost impossible to not get an A.
This class was easy-going. You will watch a lot of TED Talks! Textbook is free honestly do not use it much... or you skim it. This is not a traditional form of learning in the class. You learn communication styles firsthand by participating in talking... (sometimes it gets a bit off the topic and becomes more of a conversation about anything.
If you're scared of public speaking, take this class. Jennifer is very warm and comforting, wanting nothing but the best for her students. All you have to do is participate and talk. That's it. That's all you need to do to pass. When she says it is an introductory class, she means it. The negative reviews should not exist. She's a wonderful person!
One of the absolute funniest and nicest people alive. Jennifer is so incredibly wholesome and kind that I can't even put it into words. She truly, truly, truly wants the best for every student and puts in her 200% into making sure that her class is a good experience for everyone. One of the easiest graders I've had too! Try and you will get an A.
Jennifer's class is SO easy and she's so funny! Had the class laughing always. She cheers for your success and offers so much extra credit that it's impossible not to get an A. She's a really easy grader so the extra credit is unnecessary but I won't complain. The class is almost 3 hrs so it's long but I always ended my Tuesday nights off good.
Professor Ethridge was an absolute joy of an instructor and gives a lot of herself to her class and students, almost to a fault. With how comfortable Jennifer makes you feel in class, think about attending one of her in-person classes rather than remote. Do the work, try your best, and show up and you'll get a good grade. 10/10 would recommend!!
She's a super easy teacher, and it's easy to get an A if you do all the work and show up to class regularly. I took her class online. Be ready to keep your camera on most of the time, but she's fine if you turn it off to eat or handle something quickly. She even accepts late work. The only way you won't get an A is if you don't do the work.
Professor is very caring and lets you turn in your work very late. The class itself is very easy all you really have to do is the the weekly essay which is 2 pages long double spaced and make around 2-4 weekly videos of your self which are around 2-4 minutes long, if you aren't prepared to able to do that don't take the course. Overall it was great.
Took this class in Fall Term 2024 was a really easy class the professor was really caring and accepted a lot of really late homework. Things to keep it mind when taking the class is that there is a 1-2 page double spaced essay due every week along with 2-4 videos of your self that are around 4 minutes long.
Jennifer is a very laid-back, caring and considerate educator. You will touch on plenty of aspects of interpersonal communication but a lot of the focus is on self-esteem and how that effects communication skills and ability. You will watch a lot of TedTalks, and participation is key. Also interaction within a group setting.
Went in terrified about public speaking and came out loving it. Jennifer is just an amazing human being and the way she teaches her classes is so relaxing. She is very understanding and more than considerate about other things going on in your life. She just wants you to put in your best effort. Super easy grader and gives out so much extra credit.
Best teacher to take for public speaking if you have stage fright. There is a bit of work and you do have to try, but Jennifer WANTS to give out As. You just have to show up and get the work done. She talks about how professors who actively try to fail students are awful and wants you to have the most pleasant experience possible. Take her class!
Jennifer was an amazing teacher! She really cares about her students and the content she is teaching us. She wants everyone to earn an A and enjoy her class. Would recommend her to everyone, and will miss her class!
Jennifer is one of the most amazing professors ever! She makes class really fun, and genuinely cares for all of her students. I am always so excited when I join her class. Her personality is also warm and hilarious. The work load is manageable as well. Assignments will always be tough, but Jennifer truly does try her best to make everything easy.
Jennifer is a fantastic instructor. The course was very informative and doable. Participation matters a lot. She grades fairly, is lenient, and is understanding. Also while the textbook is a lot, it's free! I really recommend her to anyone!!!
Jennifer was the best professor I have had at collage yet! She cares about each of her students. She makes everything clear when she is giving assignments out. She also made it easy to learn because you could tell she enjoys teaching when she speaks. I really enjoyed this class so much that and I will be taking her again.
Jennifer is the best communication instructor I've ever had! She genuinely cares about her students and understands their needs, especially with deadlines. She's sweet and hilarious! I highly recommend her class—you won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jennifer Ethridge is an amazing professor. She is very knowledgeable and personable. She accommodated me when I was struggling with emergency health, housing, and family matters-- allowing me to avoid dropping the class. She is a fair grader and while she does require a textbook, she provides it to you. I'll gladly be taking more of her courses!
Best teacher I've ever had, hands down. Jennifer takes the time to ensure that every student knows their worth and that they are welcomed in class. She's hilarious, entertaining, and was incredible in driving home the public speaking information. Can't recommend highly enough.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Jennifer was hilarious and the most accommodating professor i have ever experienced at PCC. She's was so caring and made this class so fun. It was actual my favorite class ever week. No homework, weekly speech (but she's flexible with life stuff), participation is required but it's hard not to interact with all the fun!
I LOVE Jennifer! This was my second class with her. She'll have you laughing and joking around so much you'll forget about your stage fright. Super caring and personable. Endless opportunities for easy extra credit. Zoom sessions are fun and low pressure. Complete the speeches and laugh at her jokes and you'll have a great time.
Jennifer is AMAZING!!! I would 100% take her class again. She really cares for her students and their well being. As long as you show up to class, turn everything in and participate you will pass the class. Jennifer wants all of her students to pass, if something comes up she will work with you to make it up even when she has a really busy schedule
Jennifer is awesome! Super energetic and really cares about teaching. Sometimes she's a bit much, but in a fun way. She makes class personal and engaging. NOTE: having your camera on is part of your grade, but she's chill if you talk to her about it. Grading takes a bit, but she always gets it done. Definitely recommend taking her class!
Great class, great instructor! I've returned to college after later in life, she is the most engaging instructor I've ever seen. Genuinely cares about all students, always go the extra mile to see them be successful. Again great class, great instructor.
BEST PROFESSOR ON THIS EARTH!!! I truly can't say enough amazing things about Jennifer! She is hands-down the BEST professor I have ever had. She's so helpful, genuinely wants everyone to succeed, and is just an incredible person all around. She's also hilarious and makes class enjoyable and fun! She also has the coolest cats...
Jennifer is hands down the most welcoming and caring professor I have ever had. She is always in a good mood, making jokes and keeping the classroom comfortable. If you are thinking about taking her classes. Do it. I wish I took more classes with her.
She truly cares about the students and is very understanding. If you need a Comms class I highly recommend her! Just show up and participate and you will do fine. Definitely taking another class with her next term. She is one of the few instructors that have a great way to teach while keeping it fun and engaging. Enjoyed every min. of her class!
Just WOW! Never could I ever have asked for a more compassionate instructor. Genuinely caring & wants to see you be successful. MUST have camera on & INTERACT, not just participate. Flexible due dates. Simple assignments. HW not overwhelming. This cat lady is so funny and lighthearted. I HOPE i get to have her again! ppl take courses just 4 her!
Made a community with the class, we know each other and care for each other's success. Im returning from a long time away from school but this has been the only class after day one the nerves were gone.
Jennifer has been an excellent teacher. I was dreading public speaking, but she made it easy to take this class. I feel that feedback on my assignments has been incredibly useful. Having a remote option was amazing. Jennifer has been wonderful, responsive, and an excellent teacher. If I need to take more speaking classes, I hope she's an option.
There is nothing negative that I could ever say about Jennifer. She is a wonderful human, a great communicator, and an even better teacher. You know how you meet a professor that you know will change your life? Yeah, this is her. Jennifer is a genuine, sweet, whip-smart professor who completely changed my view on public speaking. Lovely class!!!
Jennifer is a gem. She truly cares about her students, has good communication with us, and always makes us laugh. If you have anxiety about the class, know that she is not intimidating and wants you to succeed. If you do the speeches and show up, you'll pass. I'm a confident speaker now, and I'm so thankful to have been in her class.
Professor Ethridge cares about the success of her students and fosters collaborative a environment. There's never a boring moment in her class. It's a shame PCC doesn't work harder to keep great professors who go above & beyond, but shame & discourage excellence - lest the ne'er-do-well professors & admins look bad for not striving themselves.
Jennifer is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I was absolutely terrified of public speaking, but I left every lesson feeling confident and successful. She really knows how to build a community, even through online Zoom classes, and I actually felt excited to go to class every day. Truly one of a kind teacher. I highly recommend!
Jennifer is a very caring teacher, and the way she teaches makes that very obvious. She taught me a lot about public speaking and i would definitely taker her again!
Jennifer might be one of the best instructors I've ever had. Seriously she is such a gem! She is so funny and caring and she has a story for every one of the concepts she is trying to teach. She goes off topic but always brings it around. Extremely easy grader and if you participate like she asks and just get the work done, you will 100% get an A.
LOVED this teacher & course. Distractable and slow to post grades sometimes? Sure. Also compassionate, approachable, always willing to help, created welcoming comfortable community, never skipped an opportunity to show us how much she genuinely cares, hilarious 24/7. Can always ask about your standing grade if shes behind. 11/10 gem of a teacher
Great Professor! Even though I did receive a B (only B on my transcripts) as my overall grade, that was my fault. Great lectures and cares for her students. She allowed me to do my speech before class started because I was so nervous. I will never forget the kindness she showed me!
She is the absolute best, and a gem. Shame on PCC for removing her.
