She is a great professor. She doesn't make it completely easy but it is defiently passable!! she is really nice and helpful. TAKE HER.
She was such a great teacher this semester in Biology lab. She's very friendly and nice and wants you to do well in her class. You have to attend her classes to pass and make sure you do your weekly quizes online and print out each lab. I'm pretty positive i'm passing with an A+. TAKE HER! She's great!
Nice, helpful, enthusiastic; all around great teacher. The study load isn't bad at all, and extra credit is given on pretty much every exam. I highly recommend this class.
Prof. Fernandes is super nice & grades fairly. She gives pop quizes in the forms of crossword puzzles & short 5 questions on ANGEL. She also posts exam reviews & all of the material appears on the real exam, no surprises. Gives extra credit on exams as well. It was a rough start but she became more relaxed. I enjoyed her class & def recommend her.
She is SO nice and is SO clear. She will do anything to HELP you but you have to put in the effort of "willingness". One con when i took this lab is that the lecture and lab didn't correspond w/each other at the same time. Lab was always a week a head of what we will be learning in lecture but it's not her fault. Take her!
Quizes are online. They are simple. She gives you notes and reviews. The reviews are EXACTLY whats going to be on your test! If you study, you can pass her class. I passed with an A and i really liked it! took her for lab and lecture
Professor Fernandes is very fair. There is no reason you cannot get a good grade in her class. She makes everything available to you. No hidden surprises.
she is great, and easy to work with as long as you talk to her.At first i thought i wasnt going to like her but soon she was one of my favorite professors.
Amazing techer i have never liked biology so much!
NO TEST REVIEWS and USELESS LECTURE that doesn't cover material well enough for her tests. Gives an extremely BASIC powerpoint lecture, but tests at an extremely difficult level. The computer program? USELESS. Basically you have to try to figure out the courses "difficult concepts and how to apply them" yourself because she's not teaching them!!!!
Test.. extremely hard!! Reading the problems pretty much takes the whole class period! She does NOT provide details that applies to the subject, you have to teach yourself! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER!
I checked her reviews prior to enrolling in her class, I'm not sure what happened but she must have changed her policies. She no longer drops the lowest exam grade and you are required to take a final. She also does not offer any type of exam review. U are on your own and good luck because her exams are far more detailed than her lecture notes.
I'm not sure what happened between last semester and now, but something has changed. Her lecture notes are way too basic for the difficulty of her tests. I'm working harder in this class than all of my other classes combined, only to maintain a decent grade. Reading every word in the book , her lecture notes, and the website, will only get you a B
I LITERALLY READ THE CHAPTERS BACK AND FORTH, DID THE ONLINE TESTS, WENT OVER THE POWER POINTS, LOOKED OVER MY NOTES..I MEAN DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE..AND STILL COULDN'T PASS HER TESTS! ITS BECAUSE SHE MAKES THEM UP AND HER TESTS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MATERIAL IN THE BOOK. I ENDED UP DROPPING THE CLASS..AND IM A PRETTY GOOD STUDENT.
Prof. Fernandes is an extremely passionate professor who teaches biology way better than anyone else I've come across. Yes, her tests are difficult but it's because her class is for BIO/HEALTH majors. If you don't put 110% into her class, you won't get the grade you want. If you still put 110% and don't do well then maybe science isn't your thing
all of the old reviews- disregard! she doesnt do anything helpful to prepare for the test. the lecture is about useless. plan on reading and re-reading the chapters and ppts. you can stufy all you want and take the test and the material will still be foreign. lab-horrible. you have to write a redic research paper. HORRIBLE TERRIBLE AVOID AVOID!!!
Doesn't teach you anything related to her difficult tests. Study all you want to and you will still fail the tests! No test reviews. Basic lecture, difficult testing. Doesn't teach at college level, but definitely tests at college level! Had to withdraw so I didn't get a horrible grade on my transcript!! Never take her!
Very nice person. Very comprehensible lecture, but hard test. Read book, print ppt, & taped lecture still not doing good:( If science is your strength then you'll probably be fine. Her exams are unpredictable & the reviews are almost useless if not for the extra credit. Make sure too study!!!
She is hard but you ll learn alot .
Great Professor, Passed class with an A, didn't even have to take the Final. I have this textbook for sale, email me if interested [email protected]. She drops your lowest test and quiz grade!
Her tests are really hard and you truly have to know the material to do well. She is very helpful and her powerpoints cover everything. She obviously cares about the subject and her students, I'd take her again. You gotta try 100% and dedicate a lot of time to it but it is def possible. Plus she's hot!
She knows what she is talking about. She is very clear and a very good teacher, however, if you want to pass you need to dedicate yourself to study the material. She does not drop the lowest test grade. I was lucky to pass and I studied HOURS, literally. You do learn a lot and I would suggest her if you want to be educated. Print ALL her powerpoint
This class is beyond hard. The exams are extremely difficult. If you are the average student you will have the worst time trying to pass this class.
I've taken her for bio I and II. Amazing professor. You have to work extremely hard to do well in her class, but if you are trying to get any kind of science related degree it's what you should get used to.
She is a snob and useless. She will not help you if you need it. Take this class if you want to fail.
Took Field Biology and it is absolutely the best class ever. Field trips to parks around the area, including 2 camping trips overnight, every week. Learned a lot, quizzes are pretty easy. Just show up to every field trip, write a paper, keep a journal of every trip and take a quiz once a week. Got to see so much of florida many havent seen!
Professor Fernandes will WORK you, but she's a fantastic instructor. The way she sets up the quiz and test questions is so that you need to thoroughly understand the material rather than just memorize facts off of a page, so you end up getting a really in-depth view of the subject. Her lectures are really interesting too. I give her an A+.
I took her for Bio 2. She was an awesome teacher, loves the subject and is available if you need her. She will help you if you show that you're dedicated. Pay attention to her power points, use all the study tools she provides, make note cards to study and you will be fine =]
Took Mrs. Fernandes for Bio I & II. Her tests are very challenging, but if you take the time to study you should do well. Tests are concept based, so you must know the material. She is a very good teacher and is always willing to help after class. If your not a slacker and want to really learn then take her classes!
Tough class, it will push you to new levels! Buy a recorder and record the lectures, print out the power points and read the book before each class. Every day after lecture go over what you learned and make notecards. Do this and its a sure B!! 8 hard quizzes, 4 exams, comprehensive final, a couple worksheets for extra credit.
AMAZING! Made me fall in love with biology <3 She is very caring, very straight forward, and very helpful and encouraging. Very organized and she is one tough cookie! No migraine can take her down! :) Wish she taught chem too!
She is a wonderful teacher. She never has any surprises, everything is stated at the very beginning of the semester. She is feisty, fun, yet stern. She does not put up with nonsense and is there to make you learn. She makes the class challenging, but not too difficult. It is real easy to pass and enjoy if you like science. Fabulous!
Taking Biology online was a huge mistake. I think this professor believes she is going to cure cancer one day or something and expects her students to be able to do the same. This was a Bio SURVEY course and the tests were so ridiculously hard that EVERYONE was bombing. My sister who is a BIO major said my tests were much harder than hers. DON'T !!
Ridiculously hard for a Bio 1 class. Test were difficult and Matering Bio does not help. Her lectures are constantly interupted by repeating the phrase "Does everyone understand" which is distracting. & she locks the door at start of class so no one can get in but it also is not good for anyone with a weak bladder! Take Chem 1 intro is not enough!
Agree with last poster, you need Chem 1 before taking this class. At least 80% of the class drops before the end of the semester. Do not take at SPC you will fail if you take her!!
It's not an easy A but its not hard to pass either. If you work or have kids the class can be very time demanding. Basically your exchanging long hours of studying for long hours or even days of Field work, so be ready to request off of work and find a baby sitter. If you have the time, its so much fun and you'll see some really beautiful places.
Fair professor. There is quite a bit of material to learn;she presents it well. You MUST understand concepts, as her tests are application, not regurgitation. Study time is better spent thinking about how the new material you are learning connects to,and expands on, the prior material. Learn the concepts and the tests are no problem.
This is a very good teacher who makes a very hard class. Understanding everything is mandatory and you must be able to apply concepts not just memorize. If you really want to major in biology, you will do good because this class deffinitely gets you ready for the hard classes in your future. She is very smart and very nice.
Taken for Field Bio (BEST CLASS EVER). You don't use a textbook, instead you go on weekly field trips. Very hands-on learning so attendance and participation is an absolute must... but the class is so fun you wouldn't even want to miss it. You learn a lot of info to remember for tests but overall extremely easy A. Teacher is very nice.
SHE IS AN EXTREMELY THOUGH GRADER. DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOUR GRADES AT ALL
many of the students dropped out in the first week. She is TOUGH. No clear grading criteria
No clear grading criteria. She is a tough grader. Tough test. Tough class
She makes this class extremely demanding.
Very harsh grading and shows no mercy.
Professor Fernandes is an an overall great teacher. Tough grader but only to prepare for upper level and post baccalaureate programs. READ THE BOOK. Schedule appointments to go over anything you don't understand. ASK QUESTIONS, she likes questions, and answers them clearly until you understand the concept. Patient, kind, and fun to learn with!
Professor Fernandes is very passionate and knowledgable. Doesn not tolerate tardiness and expects student participation during lectures. Requires students to go to a study group outside of class once a week for a grade. Several pop quizzes given. Tests are somewhat difficult and it is very necessary to study and read the chapter.
the class is all about reading and understand completely, be ready. then gives really hard application question for the exams, quizzes, and pop quizzes. and that she very very very tough Grader beware.
How to pass: Learn and be able to apply her powerpoints. Do the questions in the book and do the mastering biology tests if you can. When you take the tests, take your time. Read every question and answer carefully, they tend to be the tricky "This sounds good, but its wrong" types. You will get out of this what you put in.
If you read the book, and do the review problems, and get around a 80% on each section, you'll probably get an A on every test. That combined with quizzes which are pretty easy, and you have yourself an A. Seriously, you need to read. This is basic biology people!! minus brownie points for making tutoring part of your grade.
I took her for 2 semesters and went on a study abroad with her. She cares so much about every student and wants everyone to do well. This is a tough class,so obviously if u do not study u will not do well just like any other class. She is not a tough grader, if you think that then you clearly did not study. I would take her again over any teacher.
You might as well teach yourself Biology. She reads off a 50 slide power point every class, touches base on key concepts and expects you to have her knowledge and understanding when taking the tests. She justifies her teaching by claiming "this class will be taught on a university level". Also - Do not skip class. She will fail you. GOOD LUCK!!
The way Professor Fernandes teaches this class is meant for science majors. If you are taking this class just for a credit, I suggest taking someone different. If you want to learn Bio inside and out, take her. Be very active in your note-taking and engaged in her lectures. Use the diagrams in the book to help you study the more difficult concepts.
Best. Class. Ever! Instead of just listening to lectures about the different ecosystems, we went to them-- including snorkeling in Rainbow Springs and in the coral reefs at Key Largo! We also visited the Sea Turtle Hospital in Marathon Key. Prof. Fernandes is extremely knowledgeable and made this class so much fun. But you have to be in good shape.
If you are looking to learn and fully understand biology down to its core, take professor Fernandes. She expects a lot of her students, which is perfectly fine, and she is very helpful whenever you may need her. This class has a plethora of info, so reading the book and mastering biology are crucial for learning. Listen, take good notes, and study.
Every student has the same opportunity to receive a good grade. Take well written notes and read the book. do the mastering bio quizzes and show up to the study sessions. Everyone who ISN'T doing well in the class either doesn't care, or they dont study. if you study, you will pass the class. All her tests are multiple choice.
She teaches at a university level. If you want an easy A, take someone else. You will spend a lot of time reading and going over concepts if you want an A in this class. And when I say a lot, I mean it. She gives no reviews for tests except the exam so you need to know the material like the back of your hand.
I personally don't care for her style. Flies through information and instead of having every concept connect and flow, there's a lot of jumping around. If you don't like Taking notes off a 50 slide PowerPoint and exams with minimal opportunity to practice application which her tests are largely application based then take someone else.
I took Prof. Fernandes for Bio I and the class was a wake up call for a lot of students. The material is tough, but she really was great- and now I am able to fly through my other classes that build off those concepts. I highly recommend recording her lectures and meeting with her for office hours. She's a wonderful person as well as a professor!
She's okay. Tells the class to stop her if she makes an inaccurate statement. If you can correct a professor on new material then you should be in a more advanced class. She's not the best professor I've ever, not the worst either. Very subpar, doesn't know how to make the material exciting and at times makes things more confusing than needed.
rattles off concepts, gives the wrong info. gives NO study guides for exams but gives pop quizzes and forces you to go to tutoring sessions for a grade. if you work 6 days a week and go to classes 4 days a week good luck with that. she doesn't care, you have to attend them for a grade. had way better professors. ended up dropping her class.
Professor Fernandes is really an amazing professor. She is no nonsense and so it the course work. The course work is challenging and a lot so do not enter this class unprepared to work. She is fair and is NOT a tough grader. If you study like you should, you will do very well.
Prof Fernandes REALLY knows her stuff. That being said, expect to work for your grade. It's not easy. If you really want to get an A it will take a lot of studying. She does not give exam reviews so you REALLY need to know the chapters and thoroughly understand the concepts. The tests are worded in a way that can be confusing. Don't skip class.
Don't skip class! Record the lectures and go over them, over and over. Do not fall behind. She's a tough teacher and this is a tough class.
She's a great professor, very nice. But if you aren't a science major with a love for Biology, you're gonna hate this class. You'll have to read a LOT of information and the tests are hard. + there's mandatory tutoring you'll have to go to. Personally, Bio made my semester hell and the extra credit she gave is the only thing that saved me.
Field Biology was a very fun class. It costs a little extra money, but is definitely worth it. The trips were so much fun to go on and the professor is easy to talk to. She's hilarious and caring. Make sure you study for quizzes though. If you skip class there isn't a way to make up for it, so don't skip.
Expect to read and work on biology outside if the classroom, the concepts taught are difficult to understand and all build on each other. She cares for her students and wants you to both learn and succeed. Manditory tutoring sessions are helpful but inconvenient.
Worst professor I've ever had here. Made us take our first test the day we got back from the week we had off due to hurricane Irma;then punished us the rest of the semester by teaching some chapters in a day. Gives no reviews , and makes you feel dumb for asking questions. Tests were super difficult and makes you take a 200pt final. Don't take her.
Honestly, you may be reading these comments and thinking that people are saying that the tests are hard because of laziness. Thats 100% false... I know people (including myself) that study their butts off and get extremely good grades, but struggle so much with Fernandes.... She doesnt care if you struggle. Take SOMEONE ELSE!!
Overall friendly and seems to care but she seems to be unstable at times or battle with mental issues or instability. I'd avoid taking her classes.
Good but tough professor and tough class. I recommend recording her lectures so you can listen to them later because she talks fast. Be sure to ask questions because she doesn't always stop to make sure you're understanding the material.
this class is no walk in the park. She knows her stuff but is very down to business. Doesn't like to waste time in class because there is so much content to cover. There are mandatory tutor sessions you have to attend weekly. No homework but you do have pop quizzes if she feels like the class doesnt know the material. Really nice outside of class
Professor Fernandes is one of the best teachers Ive ever had. She is very caring and she explains the material in a very easy way. If you put some effort and study, you will definitely pass with an A. Dont just trust what other people say about her because they dont like her. Definitely take her if you really want to learn about biology.
Thought this would be a great chance for hands on learning. Field trips were great, but you're expected to take notes while kayaking or hiking. She allows you to record, but cannot always hear her over noise. TEST HEAVY short answer and essay. Very hard grader. No book. No reviews. No feedback on what you missed so don't know how to improve.
Let me start out by saying this claas was awesome. It is all hands on you do have quizzes a presentation and a final exam. As long as you pay attention while you are visiting the sites you should be good. Professor Fernandes Bio class is so amazing and I have experienced so much that I wouldn't normally do on my own. Might take her study abroad.
The class is super fun but you should plan to be involved and go to class. 10 Q quiz weekly. Professor is realistic when it comes to taking notes in the field, all the info you need to know will be told to you at a time when you can take notes/record. Not only that but she makes it pretty clear what you need to know. By far the best class at SPC!!!
Great class with a fun learning experience. Every Friday you go on a field trip and learn about the environment, the next Thursday you take a quiz over what you learned. You get to go to the Keys for a weekend to snorkel learn coral, turtles, and the everglades. Definitely take this class its worth it.
Lots of projects, but they are pretty easy as long as you put effort into them. When hurricane Irma hit in the middle of the semester; she was very patient about letting everyone get organized again. She was also very understanding about giving me extra time to complete my field hours after I caught laryngitis while working in the school.
I did online biological issues with her. She was amazing at keeping in contact with the class. You diffidently learn a lot from her! She had review sheets for midterm and final exam, both were graded, mandatory to turn in, and the midterm and final were super easy. There is a lot of work, but you learn so much. I would take her class again.
She was a fairly pleasant person to interact with but her tests and quizzes are *hard* in my opinion (tricky wording, very specific little details, etc). She did 4 quarterly exams and they were weighted HEAVILY, I did poorly on the midterm and final bc the material she chooses for exam questions seems out of left field. Unnecessarily challenging.
One of the best classes I have ever taken. You are almost never indoors and the locations you go to are outstanding. Professor Fernandes is an excellent teacher and has put together an amazing class. Be sure to take detailed notes out in the field and you will have no problems on the tests. DO NOT MISS FIELD DAYS, it will be hard to pass.
she is such an amazing teacher but the class itself is difficult the material is too much and you will need to study hard for the exams. there are 4 exams and a cumulative final, the best way to study is to record her lectures and study from them. she does not give test back and all of them are multiple choice .
Biological Issues is a good course for a science elective credit. This is an online course with an eBook for assignments. Course includes videos about current events, where a paper is written. Quizzes are 2 attempts, the proctored midterm and final include 5 Qs for extra credit. Can complete the course in less than 16 weeks with self paced modules.
Professor Fernandes is great. Biology can be tough, but she is a fair grader and provides plenty of opportunity to get a good grade. There is A LOT of reading each week (chapters are long and sometimes there are two) plus lengthy powerpoints. The e-text is good for extra help and so are the DSMs for extra credit. Would take again!
The class was fun and the teacher gave great feedback. Be prepared to read and study though, her Midterm and Final are no joke and they are closed book.
Professor Fernandes is a great teacher. Always accessible outside of class to answer questions and review exams. She also offers to help you review for upcoming tests. Be prepared to read the textbook; without it you won't pass. Attendance is a must, so much material is covered in each class meeting. Every class is a full lecture on new material.
The online version of this class is awful. Very little teacher interaction, lack luster study material, and the test and quizzes were worded so poorly that you would get answers wrong because you couldn't understand what the question was asking. First quiz i took was an easy diagram and i missed half of the question despite them being correct.
Assignments and quizzes straight from the book. Study guides for the midterm & final (proctored), if you fill those out with info from ppts & book you will do fine. Professor Fernandes sends weekly emails to make sure students are up to date with this course, very helpful!!
Pr Fernandez has a very clear and laid out plan for the course. You will take 1-2 quiz's a week (10 questions), there are 4 tests in total (2 open notes, 2 no notes). The 2 Tests with no notes are the mid-term and final exam. There are study guides for each test and strongly encouraged to complete those before you take the tests. Never opened book
Hardest class taken. Tests are graded heavy, she does not let you make up any assignments especially during this pandemic where we are all struggling, and lots of chapters to read weekly. The grade you get is the grade you "deserve." Do not take this class, it is unnecessarily hard and you will be putting in all your time into this class to study.
Not a bad professor just makes you work for the grade. I took her for online with lab and the lab was really easy. You can teach yourself this course through the Crash Courses on YouTube rather than a textbook which is a nice change! Just make sure you take plenty of notes, her midterm and final are proctored and make or break your grade.
Very sweet and understanding, the workload isn't bad at all. one quiz or written assignment each week, and an online lab every other week. The only thing to be worried about are the midterms and the final, as they're pretty tough. i got an 80% on my midterm but a 64% on my final so my final grade was a C, so just be prepared to study.
Professor Hernandes is a good professor. Her zoom classes were all very informative, I always learned something after them. I felt like the quizzes and homework assignments were fairly easy, but I did struggle with the midterm and final. I would take her class again!
This class was not super easy and Professor Fernandes was very clear about that from the get go. You have to put in a little time and effort to grasp the concepts. Thankfully, she is very patient and willing to help in and out of class. Overall, she was very sweet and I learned a lot from her lectures. I would really recommend her.
Professor Fernandes is a very caring and kind individual that I was happy to have teach me this semester. She truly does want you to learn and her lectures always kept me awake. I would absolutely recommend Professor Fernandes if you want to pass Biology.
Professor Fernandes is an amazing professor.
I studied for legitimately 15-20 hours for a test that the class averaged a 65 on. I was lucky enough to get a B but afterwards she blamed the class for not studying enough. Expects us to learn 6 chapters with 50 slides each worth of content in 2 weeks and goes through it extremely quick. Very strict teacher with phones attendance and late policy.
Unnecessarily difficult. I mean like absurdly difficult. Me and my classmates would study HOURS everyday for each exam and average a 65 and below on each test. I think she enjoys how impossibly difficult her class is. She is an amazing teacher but doesn't teach application AT ALL, which is 100% of her exam content.
This class was indeed difficult, if your planning on taking her class. Some advice is to go over the exams with her, and do online practice tests and worksheets; and ask questions during lecture, from the material you did understand in the practice test/worksheets. Watch the videos in the ebook, and teach yourself application of material.
This professor is very kind hearted, however, not a good lecturer. She would leave early to go to other meetings, she would give us exams with out even teaching the material, she never specified what was on and what was not on the test, there was tons of useless information that she said was important but never appeared on any of the exams.
Super easy class. Fernandes is not lenient with deadlines and makes everything due at 11:30. Not a lot to be graded on, so make sure you don't miss anything. Just do the work and you'll be good.
Great professor but know what you're signing up for. Took her class to fulfill a science credit (non-major) and spent most of my time on it. To do well on her tests you have to read the textbook. 4 exams, 10% of grade each, all proctored. 12 quizzes, not proctored. (Optional) lectures are "study sessions", you must read the textbook prior.
First half of the semester is more homework based, but easy. I did not read the text book and was able to complete homework using other sources. 2nd half is essay based on very interesting videos, I did not have to study for final as writing the essays taught me everything I needed to know. Overall, enjoyable class.
VERY difficult class. All of my friends would study for about 15 hours for each exam and still fail. This class is incredibly difficult, and she seems to not care or have any empathy for her students. We went through two hurricanes and lost so many days of school and we were forced to teach ourselves everything. Resulted with many people doing bad.
Really hard professor, tough grader four in person exams worth most of your grade and a midterm and final all extremely hard. You have to study for at least two hours a day to get good grades. Homework and quizzes online every week and for every chapter. Lectures are very fast paced and hard to keep up with. Would not recommend.
4 exams (55 questions), final & ALL protector.Spent sm time studying, tutoring, videos still didn't pass.Average exam result for class was a 70%. Reads the PP doesn't explain, expects u to know day 1 how to read amino acids & fatty peptides chain drawings. Exams are a week apart & nothing she goes over in class. Doesn't let u keep exam. DO NOT TAKE
Last semester she caught a few students cheating and since then she has made the class nearly impossible to get an A on. The class average was a 62% for one of her exams and she had to curve it to a 70%. She makes the questions "concept based" but in reality shes just trying to make you fail. Do NOT take her even if you really need a class in TS.
This class is very difficult. Prof. is very nice but the exams are extremely difficult I would not recommend taking this. Tons of busy work that does not correlate to the exam nor your grade. Take bio at another campus.
She was an amazing lecturer, shes so caring and made me love being in class. This class covers so much material and test are very heafty. She will nag u all semester about studying 12 hours a week, but thats not needed, just study a week before exam review notes and ur fine. 100% recommend, shes so sweet!
If you want a consistent in-person class, avoid this professor. She's kind, but after saying two absences would get us dropped, she missed several classes herself. We ended up teaching ourselves and working on days off to catch up. Expect a heavy workload and lots of self-study.
Prof. Fernandes is wonderful, she really does take the time to draw out the material so that one can conceptualize the information better. She really wants you to understand the material. She does go based off slides but says a lot of information on the side, so please take notes! Textbook mandatory, some homework questions are based off the text.
This teacher gave me the worst experience ever. She told us we had to have near perfect attendance, while she missed more than half of the semester. Get ready to teach yourself every unit. On the occasion that she would teach, she was very rushed and explained the content very poorly. Does not tell us what is on the test, you just have to guess.
If you would like to go out and get dinner before getting swamped by this class, I would suggest you do because the time you spent before entering this class will be missed. You'll spend more hours on this class than a regular science class would need. Teacher left for a month, you can't miss 2 classes or more. Be prepared to cry and hope you pass!
Gone since October and you aren't allowed to have more than 2 absences. Exams are long and difficult, your hands will cramp from all the studying and note-taking you'll do. If you spend 10-12 hours studying, you'll pass her class. The class basically became online. Have fun, it's a frustrating class.
Professor Fernandes is not a good professor at all.She provides "extra credit" opportunities but it doesn't even improve your grade by a percent!Absolutely ridiculous.Makes extremely difficult exam questions, while we had subs for most of the professor due to medical issues and they don't even know what is covered on the exam, make no sense & unfair
