All you do is busy work all of class, you also annotate every chapter in the book. She is useless and unclear when it comes to answering question

This professor is horrible. She is unclear and thinks that this class is the only one you take. I put more work into this class than others like Orgo or Physics, yet this was my worst grade. Avoid Fong.

DO NOT take her class, she is a horrible professor.If you can help it,avoid her class.She is VERY unclear as to what she wants done for assignments,she give TOO much homework like she's the ONLY class we had. EVERY class time there was ALWAYS three r more assignments due at once

Fong is the worst professor I've ever taken. AVOID HER as much as possible. When I tried to ask for help, she just sent me away, saying that there was nothing she could do to improve my grade when I was simply trying to make my work better. She loves to talk, but rarely makes any sense. Her class is entirely busy work. I didn't learn anything.

Professor Fong is one of those professors that like to hear themselves. She talks way to much but doesn't even explain anything well. She gives papers and projects and expects you to read her mind. She never explains what is expected so you're always lost. However, her papers are easy to pass once you figure out what she wants from you.

Worst Possible teacher at Ferris, never take her class it will make you life hell. Avoid this teacher, I'm a senior and she's still the worst teacher I've ever had.

She has very confusing rubrics and expects us to figure it out on our own with little help. She missed a few of important class days where I would have rather been in class. Overall just doesn't help.

Professor Fong is one of the most difficult teachers I have ever dealt with. She thinks her instructions are clear and easy to understand. In reality, it's the exact opposite. She makes you do large group projects that last weeks, and expects you to shape your entire life around the class. Just be prepared to have no clue what's expected of you.

She assigns many group projects and assignments with very little time to do them and with vague instructions. She expects you to treat her ENG150 class as "your first internship".

Dont even think to take class with her.

If you are taking professor Fong, Good luck. She provides little opportunity to improve in you English skills. She gives enough homework for you to consider it a 7 credit class. She provides zero feedback on the material you turn in and does not lecture about anything other than her personal life, providing no help with the content at hand.

The worst teacher I've ever had through out my entire education, and I have had some awful ones. She gives you enough work for this to be considered a 7+ credit class and she gives you not even close to enough time to complete it. She gives little to no feedback and spends a lot of time talking about her personal life. Caused major stress for me.

My 3 credit hour english class has much more homework than a calculus class. Awful at explaining anything, writes novels for emails on the daily! Little to no feedback. Expects alot, gives the bare minimum. No rubrics for papers. She makes an assingment that should take a week take an entire semester. Says UMMMM every single sentence. DO NOT TAKE!!

She never taught me the correct way to write my paper, she would say, write a paper in response. then after turning in the final draft she would teach you how to write it. She made you print out a lot of pointless papers that you dont need. I feel like her lectures werent teaching us anything, just yelling at us for what we did wrong.

She is a sweetheart as a person and very nice. Yet as a teaching is not her calling or profession. She will give you more work than an accounting class and the papers are longer than the great wall of china. She will make you listen to 3 hour podcast and expect you to write a paper about it with no rubric then slam you about it. DO NOT TAKE HER

By far the worst teacher Ive had. She preaches about accountability but its extremely hard to follow along in her class when shes constantly canceling it for random reason. She makes everything difficult and you never makes it clear exactly what is do and when. My whole class was confused. Dont even bother going to her office hours; she wont.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! She assigns way too much homework for the class and when you are confused about something on the homework, you go ask her in person and she just makes it way more confusing, contact her through email, she doesn't respond. She also expects things to be done even though she never told you about them. She only puts in a few grades

Note - I had to take this online due to covid. All of her instructions from the start to the end of the semester were horribly convoluted. She only sent links to youtube videos to "teach" us. We had about 3 meetings total, none of which she actually taught anything. She took attendance every time. Lots of busywork, nothing that mattered.

I'm taking this class online due to COVID-19, but this is by far the worst instructor i've ever had in my schooling. Never reponds to emails, and cancels damn near every lecture were supposed to have. With 2 lectures scheduled a week, we are supposed to have 28 lectures. Weve had 4. Always says its not her job to teach us the content, YouTube work

Out of all my professors she was by far the least connected and accessible about her work. Instead of meeting 2 times a week online, I was lucky if we meet 1 every 2 weeks. When we did meet it was only for 30 min and not the 1:30 it was supposed to be. Communication with other students in my class is the only reason I passed and was not lost

While Fong was nice this class is for English majors only. It consumed my life and I had to get a tutor. It was on line and she never had a lecture. She only scheduled lectures to answer our questions from the YouTube tutorials which were our actual teacher. The way she set up Canvas was a wreck. No one should get paid to send students to YouTube.

Worst professor Ive had so far. Her directions and very unclear and she does not answer questions when asked. Doesnt respond to my messages. Class was supposed to meet twice a week and we have had 3 in person meetings with her. She has not taught any material but rather sends us YouTube videos to teach ourselves. Canvas set up is horrendous.

Doesnt give feedback only grades your assignment way past the due date. Horrible at responding to messages and doesnt allow students to correct their work.

Always has a negative attitude. Never seems to have anything good to say.

For the sake of your GPA don't choose her.

This teacher is very bad. Please do not take this class with her. Gives out a ton of homework and she teaches through long YouTube video's. In her lectures she goes on 40 minute rants of complete nonsense that doesn't make sense. She gets sick every other week and then assigns a ton of work. Very time consuming class.

This proffesor is by far the worst one I have had at ferris and maybe even the worst teacher I've ever had. Always sick so we never have class, when we do have class she lectures for around five to ten minutes and then goes on a rant for the rest of class. She ALWAYS has a bad attitude. When asking questions be prepared to feel stupid.

Fong's Canvas set up is a nightmare. She is never there for in person class. I think I saw her in person maybe 8 times throughout the semester. She makes no sense at all, talks in circles, and has terrible communication skills. DO NOT take her class, if possible. If you do end up in her class, good luck, you will need it.

Professor Fong did not attend half of the classes, however, still made the students mandatorily attend in a designated area. The course material and dates for turn in is almost hidden and you have to try and find it yourself because it is not told or easily available to you. The material is not hard, but very confusing.

Mrs. Fong was probably one of, if not my least favorite teachers. For being an English teacher her direction giving is quite archaic. And be prepared to write an essay the day before its due because she doesn't put due dates on her assignments, rather she will just send out an announcement the day before its due to remind everyone.

Worst teacher I've taken, I dont normally rate professors but I had to for Fong so students wont take her in the future. Tons of homework, more than my engineering classes. You will regret your life if you take this class. I had to drop it because it was SO insane how much work we had. Also she makes being a single mom a personality trait and she will use it as an excuse for everything. Lectures are about her personal life. DO NOT TAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

She is very confusing and is hard to reach outside of class and office hours. She makes more work in assignments then needs to be done and her directions are not clear at all. She doesn't have you buy a book but you have to print off a lot of sheets. Do not recommend her at all.

Professor Fong was the worst professor I have ever had. She was a very judgemental professor and would reprimand students if we did not know the answer. She sometimes would not come to class and still expected students to meet in the library and take selfies to prove we were there. I wish I had dropped her class when I still could.

The class was set up very poorly and took no consideration into making it easy to know what you are supposed to be submitting on each day. I will also point out that she does not explain somethings or even talk or post about them that is worth half of your final grade and expects you to be able to read her mind.

DO NOT TAKE. Jennifer Fong is clearly improvising everything she is doing in classes, and Soley relying on Other educational programs or other teachers work sheets to get by in these classes. The Slides are the most confusing and not informative or clear at all. This teacher recently implied that we only learned how to plagiarize in high school.

This teacher will make everything a single point and then make the essay into your final exam so if you didn't learn anything, which is impossible with this teacher then good luck on the final exam. Would not recommend this teacher to anybody, she can barely be consistent and will blame it on the students for not doing as she's asked.

The first red flag was when she told us on the first day of class that she has bad Rate My Professor reviews. It all went down hill from there. Fong is awful at giving clear directions of what she wants from her students, condescending when asked a simple question, and makes everything about being a single mother. Do not take this lady at all costs

She canceled class often and when this happened loads of homework was assigned that was difficult to understand. Her announcements on Canvas were extremely confusing since it was covered with emoji's and highlights. If you ever want to figure out why you didn't do great on a paper either the only way to know was to meet with her via Zoom.

Worst experience in a class this past semester than I have ever had through my education journey thus far. Her directions are confusing, she's always absent, condescending tone, and unclear deadlines. While this course should have been an easy walk in the park, she made it feel like my walk included falling on my face every few steps. Do not take!!

I took this class in my freshman year and it was the worst class I ever had in my entire life. Her instructions were so confusing. There were assignment due twice or thrice every single week. She assigned lots of homework during breaks. I didn't learn a single thing in this class. I would never recommend this class to anyone.

All of her reviews are true. Expect to put lots of time into her class. She will assign big projects with no guidance.

Do not take this class. She assigns things last minute and does not give guidance for poorly written directions. You are better off taking another class that doesn't assign 20 homework topics a week due on Monday, Wednesday or Sunday.

I could write an entire APA-formatted essay on this teacher. If you enjoy English or have any understanding of elementary concepts, DO NOT ENROLL. I had to unlearn everything from my past professor. I typically excel in writing, but this teacher made me worse. Do yourself a favor: Find a teacher online over the summer if you need to.

This professor is not good at explaining assignments and makes everything very confusing. There was a lot of homework, and it was very time-consuming. Lectures were boring and useless and she expects a lot out of her students and will mark out points. She was a tough grader. If you take her communicate respectfully and show up and stay after class.

This is a genuine warning, this was the worst professor I have ever had. She often cancelled class, was unclear about any assignments, and had us do stupid group projects all the time that made no sense. I learned nothing from this class, and it was the biggest waste of time. You will hate your life the whole time you're taking the class.

This professor is mostly online but yet has one class a week in person. She is not willing to work with students that cannot get it to free Wi-Fi or has disabilities that have tests going on and will not be able to get to Wi-Fi.

This professor is extremely unorganized, unhelpful, and makes the class harder than it needs to be. She doesn't explain concepts clearly, offers little support, and leaves students more confused than prepared. Easily one of the worst teaching experiences I've had.

I would not recommend this professor to anyone. The course load is extremely heavy. Everything is over explained to where it you cannot even understand the point the professor is getting at. You have to watch so many lectures. She hides phrases so that you have to actually watch the videos. Things are not explained well. It's rough. Many struggle.

This professor is so unorganized and not helpful. She posts so much on canvas and none of it is helpful. She is very hesitant with what she says in class and it is literally a scavenger hunt tying to find what to actually turn in. I would not reccomend this professor to anyone.

Her class was a hybrid online and in person but the in person portion was just her reading off of slides that she had already talked about online. She acts like she's helping you but she doesn't just expects you to know how to do everything. her canvas page is an absolute nightmare rabbit hole that you will drown in.

DO NOT take this professor. She will not teach you anything about the course, she just expects you to already know the subject. She spends majority of class talking about the 30 slides she already talked about in the videos. She has you print it out to fill in but she'll have you print out 30 pages only to fill out 7 papers. RUN AWAY!!!

When you ask her for help, she will talk about something completely different and then you'll be even more confused because now you still don't know the answer to your original question or whatever the new thing she just brought up. If you schedule a zoom to meet and discuss your grade, very likely she will not show up.

She is the most HORRIBLE teacher ever. Whatever you do don't take this class. She graded my final paper as I used ai after I went on a zoom call saying I didn't and she agreed I didn't she still graded it like I did. So after I did every single one of her horrible assignments and had a b+ In the class I ended up with a c. SHE IS HORRIBLE.

This class is pure frustration. Instructions are unclear, questions are treated like annoyances, and students are blamed for confusion she creates. Grading feels random, feedback is useless, and effort means nothing. English becomes something to survive, not enjoy, leaving anger, exhaustion, and resentment every single class. SHE IS THE WORST! RUN!
