She goes above and beyond in helping students with the course and with their future goals. She was very timely in responses and willing to answer questions. Professor Houston is a phenomenal professor. Yeah, she can take a bit to answer emails but she is beyond helpful and genuinely wants you to do well in the class. A lot of students complain about how you don't have a lot of time for the quizzes and this is true if you don't take the time to read and understand the chapter. Generous extra credit too!

This class was the best psychology class I have taken yet! Prof. Houston is the most wonderful prof. at FIU. There is 4 test, a final, and a final research paper. It is basically impossible to fail, since she offers extra credit and drops a test grade. Her lectures are entertaining and her test reviews are straight from the test. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Very caring professor with a great sense of humor. Her lectures are easy to get through and often uses videos. Grade is based on exams and a paper but as long as you attend lectures and pay attention you should pass. She ended up canceling a lot of classes this semester, so we didn't exactly follow the syllabus that was my only issue with her.

She is the corkiest prof ever! Easy class. Best exam reviews (themed: mario bros., hunger games, star wars) paper was easy. 3 exams and a final. Material is not so interesting unless you are into it, but come to class, she may give extra credit to you, especially towards the tail end of the semester.

Even when she found out that every one was being sneaky behind her back she didn't give repercussions or even take the exam off line she was more like a parent to us, disappointed and she had every right to be. EASIEST Senior Seminar in FIU. 5 assignments that are 5% given based on completion, a research paper 5 pages, and if you fix and adjust your assignments then submit it as a portfolio you get an A. you do one group presentation for a topic and present it for one of the classes and submit discussion questions for the groups to use for presentations!

Great class to take and easy. One paper due at the end of the semester, not hard. 13 quizzes and the final test is 5 short essay on chapters from the book. No weekly assignments you do the work at your own pace. She answers emails pretty fast and very understanding.

Literally one of the best professors at FIU. She makes the class so simple and interesting. Grades are based on weekly quizzes, midterm, and final. She gives lots of extra credit so if you dont pass that means you didnt even try.

Very easy class. The class is mostly about you and things that can help you in the field. The course is based on discussions, and some papers, which are very easy since they are about you. She is very flexible and caring. Her goal is to help you so you cannot go wrong by taking this class with her.

All assignments were due at the end of the semester, 12 quizzes with two attempts at the quiz and the lowest 2 dropped. One 1,000 word paper due at the end of the semester with the topic of your choice from a list selection. Exam was five questions written response. All students had access to her live streams from her on campus classes.

This course is very similar to EXP3523 as far as the requirements. In my opinion taking the course online was less interesting then the memory course online, however I managed to do very well on each quiz. All assignments are due at the end of the semester however PASS YOURSELF, there's also a 1,000 word paper due at the end as well.

Prof. Houston is AMAZING! I took her for memory and memory improvement during summer & I took her for senior seminar this past fall. All I have to say is that she is a GREAT professor & I wish I had more professors like her! She genuinely cares about all her students! She is a true sweetheart!! Going to cut it short, amazing professor, very fun and enthusiastic. The class had 12 online quizzes, an online midterm, and an online final. Both midterm and final were all short answer questions but all the answers could be found in the ppt. Easy class, easy A

Jennifer made senior seminar really fun. The main assignments we had were career based, and easy to do. Attendance was not really mandatory, but she appreciated it when everyone came to class. In class we had real life discussions which were very interesting. She is very easy to reach after class, and gives good feedback on assignments. Take her!

This class is very, very easy. There are simple opinion-based weekly discussions and a number of assignments about future plans and things like that. This professor is also super nice! I recommend taking this class when you first start Psychology because it'll really make you think about your path within the field and whether you truly like it.

Easiest A you will ever get in FIU. She is a great professor and very lenient. I took the class during summer B. All of the assignments are due the end of the semester and if you show up to every class you don't need to write the paper. Only complaint was that she barely taught bc the front row was always asking irrelevant and obnoxious questions.

She's a very chill and kind person. This class is easy! There are 12 quizzes but only have to do 10; she takes the top 10 highest scores. There's a final exam and paper. But she gave us a deal which was to choose to do one of them. Get the textbook because you'll need it for the quizzes and final.

Best teacher you can find during the pandemic she GAVE us 2 chances to take the test. Even open notes. Quizzes are 30 min. Final is only 5 questions. 60 minutes. You'll definetly pass.

Assignments are all open at once to work at own leisure. The assignments are so helpful in getting a better feel of what you may want to do careerwise and point you in good directions. The vibes in the classroom are extra chill and she cares about her students wellbeing above all else. The classes are hilarious with the professor using real life scenarios to connect with what she's teaching. She is lenient with grades with opportunities to catch up and extra credit activities. The quizzes were accurate reflections of the material and the final was 10 essay questions that required you to focus on the content and what it means. Grading is always fair.

Do you want to learn and have fun? Take her. She is absolutely amazing. I took her in summer A, and she's so fun, super chill, and very engaging. You do group activities that are silly but relevant, you get stamps for showing up, and an extra one if your group gets the most votes, and it's necessary for the end of the semester.

Great professor. Makes class way easier and funnier than usual. Took this class Summer and it was great. Good choice for a business elective. She gives you plenty of feedback. For everything, you can submit twice (even exams). Amazing choice and chill class, so you don't stress.

Easy class but a lot of reading in the canvas textbook

Dr. Houston is a phenomenal treasure of FIU. Her lectures are so memorable that it's easy to learn and digest the material within seconds. I have learned a lot in her consumer behavior course, which made me reflect and relate to the current events in real time, whether through trends and other forms of consumer psychology. Take her! Mad respect!

Such a great professor who actually tries to engage students, she's so nice and I highly recommend her. She barely gives any HW, literally just show up to class and listen. She's so funny and engaging in her lectures, take her if you can!

Very easy class. Just an essay to do every week which sounds bad but it rlly isn't. She's a lenient grader and responds to emails quickly. She also gives feedback showing interest in what u wrote. Her PowerPoint's were easy to understand and she was overall a very easy class. 10/10 recommend.
