I had her for women's studies, but I think she's the same in her english classes...very nice and understanding, definetly cares more that you learn something instead of how you test

Lectures in a clear & easy to understand style. Provides many visual & hardcopy examples to follow. She teaches the basics of explication using poetry & analysis of literature. Very helpful & understanding w/students using English as a second language.

Very concise, clear, and organized professor - she sincerely wants her students to learn how to write well. Jennifer is very approachable and reasonable, and treats everyone like an equal - I had her class at 7:30 in the morning during the SUMMER, and enjoyed every day of it.

She taught very clearly and can make student who first don't understand until they understand it very well. I recommended this teacher very much!

She is a very good teacher. It was one of the easiest classes i've ever had. I would write the essay a couple of days before class and get a good grade. I finished with a 3.8. Totally recommend this teacher.

Jennifer is an excellent English instructor. She brings a lot of energy to the class and genuinely cares about the students. She takes roll each class, so this isn't a class you can skip. Jennifer is a very fair grader and isn't too picky about minor grammatical errors. There is a light work load in this class. Not much homework at all.

I really like her class. She is funny and she makes everything easy and simple for you. The class isnt very hard. She loves what she is doing and you can tell when she teaches.

The class was pretty straightforward, and Inslee has great energy and is funny too top! If you're looking for an evenly paced, simple 5 credits of English...I'd definitely reccomend her. Got a 4.0 without having to break my back.

Jennifer seems to love teaching & nice to students. She totally got excited about the poems we read and this made the class fun and interesting. I learned a lot about writing because she showed us how to write and analyze step-by -step with examples. I think the class is harder then it felt, but her directions & organization made it seem easy!

She carefully prepares for every class with useful material, background information. Step by step, she will teach you how to be a better idea. You got to get evolved though.

Yeah, She is great and she teaches the specific thing. Recommomend her and especially for English 205. P.S. take her for blackboard and online too. She uses blackboard better.

Why can't all my of teachers be more like Jennifer????? She is nice, funny and awesome at getting students to like writing essays. Now I actually want to get better at it but i used to hate it. Take her for 100 esp. it's kind of hard but she makes it fun to learn and she helps you a ton, way more than any other teachers i had.

Instead of doing a bunch of useless busy work, we watched awesome sci-fi movies throughout half the quarter. English is not my thing. Writing the paper at the end was very difficult. At least I got to write about something interesting. Jennifer is open minded and awesome.

Lots of work, but she grade them fairly. As you have any questions, go by her office during her office hours! She can definitely halp you a lot ! She is a great instructor. TAKE HER CLASS !

I had jennifer for my eng 100 class and she was wonderful. She made the class interesting and fun. Before I took the class I was thinking here we go, another quarter of boring essays and grammar, but when I entered her class it was totally another case. I actually learned a lot in her class and got a 100 percent in her calss. I took summer quarter

I took 100 and 102 with Jennifer. She is thoughtful, engaging, respectful, and funny. She meets with you individually to insure success and if you are interested in learning you will get a 4.0 in her classes. I once sat and chatted in her office with her for over an hour. She is kind and basically awesome. She makes English easy.

Jennifer is an amazing teacher! She is very helpful, funny, and explains things very well. She does not put up with people coming late, phones going off during class, or talking. If your in her class its because you want to learn and not because your parents told you to sign up. Plus, she'll meet with you outside of class to go over your paper.

Jennifer was a great English teacher. I didnt like English until her class. She made it easy and helped out a lot. She described every assignment clearly. After your first rough draft she gives lectures on how to imporove your essay and make it longer. Overall great, friendly, and awesome English teacher.

I took Jennifer's 102 'Sci-fi' class, and it was one of the best class experiences I've had at EdCC. That said, it is a very specific interest class. Anyway, this class encourages you to think on many different levels, refine your analysis skills, and generally become more proficient at writing. You must have a firm grasp of composition first.

Funny teacher, apply yourself and you'll pass with a 100%, because she is literally the easiest grader. Trust me, this is coming from a person who has terrible high school grades.

There is lot of writing required but you will be improve a lot if you work hard and practice. English is hard for me but I am getting better. Jennifer is helpful teacher and really kind. I think she like to teach and it show every day and in her good mood and happiness in class.

She is so amazing and so easy. She makes my class become interesting and exciting more than anytime (except period of poems' explication). You just need to read and present what you think. It's done and you'll get high grade.

Miss Jennifer knows her materials very well. She was very knowledgeable on the subject of literature. Classes were very fun and involving. I loved her teaching style and learned a lot. She was very respectful to everyone. On the other hand, she was a bit behind on grading and feedbacks, but that could be easily taken care of. No book, but stories.

A respectable teacher, extremely open and very funny. You will read a lot of short stories, but no other class has been more beneficial with all the psychological, philosophical and literacy aspects you will learn from in the readings. You need to care to pass this class.

Jennifer is honestly one of the BEST professors I have ever experienced. She not only tells you to just call her Jennifer, but she is genuinely interested in you as an individual. After I had moved out of my abusive home, Jennifer took me step by step in the essay I missed because of circumstances. I highly recommend her class to ANYONE.

Jennifer is such a gentle, remarkable, and profound character that rarely can be found on Campus. This course has been amazing throughout the quarter. First, I did't expect it to be fun, but it turns out to be one of the best decision I have taken that I relieve not to take any other humanities course beside this from the first place. Jennifer is an amazing instructor, she really does care if you do good in her class and tries her best to make sure you understand whatever it is being presented to you. She also responds back to emails much quicker compared to other English instructors and all the essays we do in class she breaks into chunks to make it easier.

I took her ENG101 class in the summer for only 6 weeks. But it was not as heavy as I thought. Online articles instead of textbooks, do not require a lot of readings, 2 essays and 4 summary assignments, just follow the required steps, easily got full points. My gpa was 4.0

she was an amazing teacher if you need more time or help she is very flexible. doesn't give out that much work but helps step by step during class anyways. you actually learn new skills and have a great time.

Easy online class. 2 essays, no textbooks, no tests. Weekly assignments, a summary or analysis of article and that is what the essay is based on. Gives good feedback on essays & weekly assignments are easy A, just do them & you'll pass. Doesn't really teach, just hands assignments. Take her if ur looking for a nice and English prof that's an easy A

Jennifer Inslee is a great professor. The class is face-paced and not "easy". There are no books for the class. The reading material is not fiction but scholarly essays which can informative yet bland. The assignments can sometimes be sporadic, ex. post on Wednes. and due Friday. Manage your time, do the assignments and you should be fine.

This instructor is very helpful and I enjoyed the subject matter. We wrote 2 main essays that were worth the most amount of points. The writing was based on online articles.

Jennifer was a fantastic English teacher. She was very clear in what she expected from us, and gave both helpful and meaningful feedback as well as examples for her assignments. However, she wasn't particularly challenging, and I was able to maintain an A in her class without any difficulty.

I highly recommend professor Inslee, I took her class online and I am so glad I did. I wished she taught a 102 course because I would definitely take it!

Jennifer was a great instructor, especially for my first English class at the college. She is super clear with what she wants and is extremely understanding. We only wrote two papers the entire quarter and didn't have any quizzes. As long as you complete the work, you should be fine. Her feedback is also extremely helpful if you want to improve.

by far one of the best professor ive ever had! not a lot of work is assigned, reading two books and some short poems with 3 exams and no final or any other tests/quizzes. she offers some extra credit if you want to skip out on an occasional discussion board or miss a homework assignment. overall very easy class with a great professor!

You've gotta work for it. Without work, you will not succeed in this class. A lot of reading, but overall you have got to work your ass

She provides good guidelines and resources to help you write a better essay. I find essay writing very intimidating, considering I had really never written one properly before. I did great in Inslee's class, she does a good job turning academic writing into a step-by-step process for developing your ideas and writing them down coherently.

Only had two essays (#1 1200 words #2 <1200 words) Had an article every week to read and do an analysis or summary depending on what part of the class you're on. Definitely need to understand and write good otherwise you'll get less than 85%. The two essays make up 80% grade and she gave more than two weeks to complete with drafts/outlines.

I've taken two of Inslee's classes. Awesome in both English and Mythology!

Professor Inslee's class was content heavy and involved lots of reading. She provided great feedback when it came to our assignments. Her three finals dispersed throughout the quarter require a great deal of time and effort though, so be sure to space out enough time for that. Overall, I would take another class by her again.

I've taken Eng. four times between three colleges and Jennifer is the best English professor I have ever had. She gives good feedback, but more importantly she gives good INSTRUCTIONS. Her online class is well organized and the directions for her assignments are clear & concise.

This is an awesome professor, she makes class simple. You won't be sitting around questioning assignments like I have in the past. I really appreciate the feedback on every assignment too. I rarely rate professors but this one is just really good.

This teacher is awesome. She would give us 2 to 3 assignments a week which had to do with reading, analyzing, and then writing a few paragraphs. Everything is graded really easily, which was basically participation. The workload is not too heavy but I would be aware there is writing every week. Very kind teacher easy grader. Not a difficult class.

She was very nice and a very easy grader. Everything was on Canvas and pretty easy to understand.

Jennifer is an amazing teacher and I cannot say enough good things about her! The articles she assigns are interesting and a breeze to write about. I'm awful at English it's a subject I always struggled in but this class was a breath of fresh air. 2 homework assignments a week maybe 3 occasionally and 2 essays as your exams. 10/10 recommend her!

She gave good feedback and there wasn't too much work assigned we were also allowed up to 3 late passes and a chance for her to look over our "finals" before we officially submitted them.

Had her for 101 and 102, A+ in Both. Supportive, great feedback, super sweet, easy to talk too as well. I'd reccomend her to anybody in a heart beat. If you're Running Start and you need a class that won't eat your spare time away, She's the English teacher to take. Hands down best ENG teacher here. Would take her for every class.

only had to write 2 essays! there were typically 3 assignments each week which did take up a bit of time, but still very doable by the due date. she provides good feedback on essays and assignments and overall was a good professor. ez to pass :)

I took this english class after having a horrible professor the previous quarter, they as well failed me. Once I took Inslees class, I was thriving, she gives good feedback and easy assignments. 100% would take her again.

I absolutely adore Professor Inslee. She gives amazing feedback and chooses interesting topics for students to write about. She's a fair grader but not tough; she's so kind.

Provides detailed feedback and responds to emails quickly. Very easy grader; three writing exams worth 25% each. The first unit is poetry and the second and third units are based on books (Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet and The Help). The only thing I can nitpick is that she is a very slow grader. Easy 4.0 though.

ms. hendershot was great, i really loved the way she made english 102 an easy class, she made us complete many drafts before the real essay which she gave lots of good feedback which secured almost everyone in that class an a. i heard english 102 was hard but she genuinely made it easy and fun!
