She's a great teacher, really fuuny and easy-going. She makes sure everyone gets what she's talking about and is very helpful with everything. Tests are kinda hard but if u study they aren't too bad!

i'm not sure if she is still working at Normie, but she is fabulous. she is a tough grader, but she is engaging and fun.

VERY NICE. Variety of points in grade book, easy and laidback class environment. She cares a lot about her students and is flexible as far as when things are due, etc. Takes attendance for points. Online quizzes and discission boards. Quizzes are very easy. No exams. No final. a few papers. kind of hard paper grader. good teacher.

Wow! What a great teacher! She has passion for interpersonal communication and it shows through her teaching... She goes through each chapter (concept) and goes through exercises to better understand the tougher points. I loved her class and I highly recommend it to anyone

Very wonderful instructor. Very kind, supportive, has innovative teaching methods. Really brought class together, from day one. This class inspired me to follow Communications major. Had wonderful class roast on last day, with awards handed out. There will never be enough instructors like her.

This class is great to take with Isaac. Not only did she make public speaking seem easier, I wouldn't have survived this class with any other teacher. She takes time to answer questions and help you on your speech. She gets a "thumbs up" from me!

REMEMBER online test dates-she doesn't remind you in class about papers/tests being due unless someone asks in class, tests are online and you get 2 trys-PRINT OUT what you answered BEFORE you submit the test and you can fix what was wrong, it's at home so you can use your book & notes w/o her knowing, copy her notes EXACTLY, grades papers harshly

Awesome Prof! Funny, interesting and tests are a cakewalk! Speaches have small/short requirements, and u get in class time to prepare with peers. Gives great advice and makes public speaking a breeze! Not at all hard to get an A with Isaac, she is awesome!

THE BEST TEACHER EVER! She's sweet, makes class fun, and teaches you to be more comfortable in giving speeches. She doesn't grade too tough, unless you're a bum and don't do you're work! TAKE THIS CLASS ITS THE BEST!

Great Teacher!! made the class very comfortable and light! She is funny and kept the class interesting! i took a summer night class with her and actually enjoyed it!! I would reccommend her for ANY class...not just the scariest class (public speaking!)

Had Ms. Isaac for Interpersonal Communications. She is a great instructor and made class great. My only problem was this was an evening class (therefore lots of working adults) and there was a group project, very hard to coordinate when you are not all students who work part time or not at all. Otherwise, the class was super and I recommend it!

Really not a huge fan of her. She was pretty easy, but not very helpful at all. I wouldn't discourage you from taking her class, but I certainly wouldn't recommend it either.

Had family comm online. 1st time offered @ NCC-so it wasn't perfect 4 online format. friednly. responsed 2 emails quickly. this sem the schedule changed lots-i think it'll be better in future (now that they have what works/doesn't work figured out). tests somewhat hard (know the vocab). had 3 short papers. assig due w/her live class. i'd recommend

She's an expert on the subject and understandable. Well, hopefuly you will have a positive college experience if ya take her class while you are learning at the same time. Her office hours are usefull as well as the class hours. I would strongly recommend her. Just follow the directions that she provides and you'ill do just fine. Best class ever

I LOVE JENNIFER. Amazing teacher who really wants her students to do well. Assignments are clear. She makes outlines for your papers which makes them super easy to do. Take her.

She is very helpfull and fun, online quizzes made it an easy grade but also a fun class!

Jennifer is very helpful and very nice. Expect to work hard on an easy subject if you want to get an A. I'm sure that a B is pretty much a given though. She is relatively hard on you when she grades papers, so expect to put your best foot forward on all of them.

Wonderful instructor, she kept the learning environment friendly and fun. She worked with the diverse community to help everyone learn at their own pace. Her tests were online and were a good choice for students who need to use a book to understand the class.

Fundamentals of Public Speaking 1101-I really enjoyed this class. I learned so much and by the end I was able to feel so much more comfortable to speak in front of other people. We used the book heavily the first few times, but since this course was over the summer it would probably be used more throughout the whole course. It was a great class!

Jennifer is intelligent, fair, and an easy instructor to follow. Tests are all taken online, so you can use your book/notes. Papers are simple and graded very leniently. Read your text and practice your speeches, and you'll get an A in the class. I had a lot of fun in this class and would recommend Jennifer to anyone and everyone.

Really easy teacher. Jennifer is super nice and is willing to help anyone who asks for it. Tests are a simple, you take them online. Reading the book is mandatory along with attendance. She has quizzes everyday, but they are easy. Just paying attention, and you'll easily pass. SUPER NICE TeACHER :)

Online Class, never met the instructor, but she checks the discussion boards DAILY, and will get back to you with any questions within 24 hours. Very fair with grading and VERY clear syllabus and schedule.

honestly the only prof i'd recommend so far in my 2 years at normandale. quality teacher, balances quizzes and test evenly through schedule and responds quickly if you have questions. we had both leture and group time which was nice to break away for a bit since my class was once a week for 3 hours. GREAT TEACHER. highly recommended

Jennifer is absolutely the best professor at Normandale! She makes class so fun by having a more hands on approach. Shes a doll and is there when you need her. Take any communication class with her and not only will you get an "A" you'll meet one of your favorite professors you'll ever have!

I think her discussions are pointless. I don't get anything out of them. It's just a waste of time. I work full-time days and have night classes and it's a pain when she gives us 10 o'clock deadlines for an online class.

I took this online course in summer. It's a really good experience!

Ms Isaac is very clear with directions. You always know what it is that she expects. The class was often discussion based which keeps the students interested. The homework was easily manageable and the tests we easy if you paid attention in class.

Jennifer is a great professor. She gave a detailed outline prior to the start of class, which is helpful for staying on track or getting ahead. The quizzes were not timed, and you get 2 attempts--the best of the 2 scores is given. You also get to see what you answered wrong the first attempt. Questions were answered promptly.

Jennifer was well organized, she lets you know in advance what she expects from you. Syllabus is followed trough out the course with no changes. She answers emails quickly and gives you feedback, so you have enough time to correct future assignments. Took the Summer session received an A. You definitely need the book, and it is interesting

Love love love her! She is so nice and understanding. She was willing to meet us outside of class if we needed help. She always makes class fun, and her tests (which there is only 2) are super easy. They're right off the powerpoints! She makes public speaking fun, and not as scary as most think. She's the best!!!

A truly amazing professor and person. Her class is not only interesting, but Jennifer gives real life examples constantly. Lots of textbook use, but lectures are always riveting (I've never had a 3 hour class go by so fast!). If you see any classes taught by Jennifer, sign up, you won't regret it.

AMAZING teacher! She is funny, down to earth and really does care about her students. She does online tests with 2 attempts! She doesnt believe in grading the student based on their test taking skills, so she gives plenty of opportunities to get an A. Go to class, Participate and do your homework. Easy A and alot of fun.

I have tried Public Speaking classes before, but Jennifer makes you so comfortable! To be honest, I didn't buy the book...and still aced both tests and all the speeches....take notes when she lectures (not often) and just show up and you'll do great!

Amazing! Great! Perfect! Wow! As an international student, English is not my stuff, and speaking English in front of my native classmates is something that I would never think of before taking this class. However, after spending a semester with Jennifer, I have overcome my nervousness, and now if asked to deliver a speech, I will do it. RECOMMENDED

I am currently a full time student at Normandale. It is my first semester back in school after 10 years. She has made the transition a wonderful experience for me. If you are looking for a fair, helpful, intelligent teacher, then take her class. She is lovely. Her class is fun AND I've gotten more out of her class than any other.

Fantastic professor. I went into Intro to Communications expecting a boring, difficult class, but Jennifer has created such a wonderful, inspiring setting. I was nervous to take a public speaking course, but the environment within class is extremely fun. She gives great feedback as well, and really takes the time to help you improve.

I took the online Interpersonal Communication course and I HIGHLY recommend taking it! There are weekly readings followed by a class discussion. Professor Isaac is VERY clear about what she expects from students in the discussions and in our four "Journal Assignments." If you skip parts of the discussion or post late, you will lose points.

Loved this class, Jennifer is funny and relates the material back to us very easily. The text book wasn't too expensive and was valuable information. I would take again!

Took as a summer class. Quite a bit of reading but it's fairly interesting. Keep up with the reading or you'll get behind fast. Book is necessary. Instructor clearly cares about the subject. Not a hard class if you just do the work - which is more participatory than challenging.

I used the book twice and could have done without it. This class was Amazing! I leaned how to be a better speaker, and Jennifer was a great teacher! Simple class to understand, and easy to follow. Attendance is a must. Our class was filled with awesome people that I truly bonded with. Gonna miss them! Great class!!

Jennifer was a phenomenal professor. The class I took with her was online, although I don't believe that it would have been any different in person. She has a great attitude and is beyond helpful. I reached out many times through out the class, she was very diligent in getting back to me as well as making the environment friendly.

Showing up to class is already 60 points. She gives you extra credit opportunities. She gives helps you study in class for easy quizzes every week. She makes the class interesting and is very friendly. Great teacher. Easy A.

Professor Isaac is a rare professor to encompass. I took her Interpersonal Communications class online, and it was the most organized and user friendly course I have taken. Not many quizzes, some journal entries, and a few discussions, that is all. She is so easy to contact, and she treats everyone with care. Definitely recommend this class.

I only have good things to say about Jennifer. She is clear, helpful, and tries to make the class as interesting as possible (even though It was online and that can be hard to do). She even went out of her way once to personally email me saying that I misunderstood one of our worksheets and gave me a chance to correct it with no points deducted! <3

Seriously, one of the best professors I've encountered. Public speaking was my favorite class I took at Normandale, due large in part to her. I looked forward to going. TAKE HER!

After passing away on October 13, 2019, at 8:13pm, Jennifer's Celebration of Life took place today. Jennifer was a force at Normandale. She was an advocate for students; a dedicated mother and grandmother and devoted wife. Jennifer was a giver and a lover of life. Her loss is irreplaceable. Those who knew her were richer for knowing her.
