Am I in 9th grade again?! This is suppose to be an SWS course. No challenge

Wants to do well, but is still in elementary mode. Not a very challenging class.

There's alot of busy work, but nothing pat the fifth grade level.

I was very impressed with her ability to reach the students on a certain level, and she is incredibly helpful. You will be glad you took this course, and you'll be even more glad that she was your professor.

She was a decent professor, it's just a stupid class. She has you turn in your papers throughout the semester, so you won't be rushing around to finish them before your portfolio is due. Rarely in class the entire scheduled time.

Like others have said, she's a good prof. it's just a stupid class. She makes sure you turn in papers before the end of the semester so you've got something to work from at the end. Classes are laid back and I don't think ever went the full time.

Great lady the projects are fun and i enjoyed the class she is flexiable and wants you to do well in her class

She's super nice and knows how to make writing a bit more fun! She's cute and spreads out the papers you have to write so your not pressed for time.

I loved this prof. She would find topics for me to write about and gave great input and feedback with any concerns.

hotty who mad class fun and let some kids skip about 7time in one semester. the subject sucked but we did get out early.

She knew how we all felt about Theme courses, so she made the class less tedious for us. She is fun and sweet.

Did not learn a whole lot, but wrote some papers that were worth while. Spent 30 mins in class then rest of time in lab, and could leave whenever you want. about 9 1-page journals and 5 papers (4-5 pages). Take her if you want easy!

She always let us out early, which was a perk for a 6-9 class (and we still managed to cover all the necissary material). She doesn't just hand out A's, you do have to work for them, but she's willing to help you with any problem you may have and she even offers to edit your papers before they're due. Don't blow off briefs and smaller assignments.

Jennifer was great. The class was structured like a work shop, lots of independent work- must be self motivated. Great writing assignments, journals were intersting. Recommended.

Jennifer is very nice, this is my second class with her and I registered for a third. She is very helpful and willing to help you with your papers. Highly recommend taking her classes!

Dr. K was awesome. I know she isnt really a doctor...but i called her that. Class was always fun...got to write and array of papers. shes hot, too.

She is awesome! Think of original topics to write about and she will love you. Just go to class and you will barely ever have to do anything outside of class. Usually out early! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Theme class so there really isn't much to learn...you read and write papers...that's it.

Very easy teacher, gives you a lot of time to work on your papers and grades are up very quickly.

I dropped this course because it became no longer required during the semester. She is beautiful and fun to listen to. You will often be let out early, keep up to date on Blackboard!

Take this class online if you just need some extra credits. It is mostly busy work but very easy and lots of points so its hard to get a bad grade. There are only 2 papers and if you do well on the first, you don't have to write the second. I got a C on the midterm and still have an A- in the class.

Recomended. She helped my writing so much. She checks you work five time before you turn it in. There is alot of exercises that help boost you grade. If you make an effort in this class you will get and A or B.

This was the best writing professor i've ever had! She was so nice and helpful. The papers were easy and she gave us a lot of time to write each one.

Good teacher

She is a great Professor. She breaks down the information so your able to understand specificly what she wants in writing format. Assighnments she isn't always clear on specificly what shes looking for but always reminds everyone so it works out. I would suggest her if you have any trouble with writing.

Professor Kierzek was awesome for WRT150, as a freshman it was supposed to be one of the most difficult classes, but she made it fun and enjoyable. Really helped improved my writing skills and made my SWS class so much easier!

Wonderful professor. I had her for my 8am but she kept it interesting. Very understanding, approachable, and helpful. Just keep up with the course and you should be fine. Gives lots of time to develop papers and we had a writing consultant in our computer lab. So glad I had her.

Not an easy class but she was a great professor who truly cared about her students. She takes and attendance and gives great feedback on paper. It was NOT easy though but I learned a lot.

Lots and lots of work. All of it is worth it though. She is a great professor who truly cares about her students. Make sure that you are editing your papers along the way otherwise it gets very stressful at the end. I would highly recommended her!

Jennifer is very helpful. She tells you exactly what to do to make your papers better to get a better grade.

Great Professor. Knows what she is doing and wants students to passant will go above and beyond for them to be able to pass as long as the work is put in.

Shes a good teacher, its just the class that is boring. Literally 3 papers (4-6 pages) all semester. I suggest just keeping up with her busy work she will give you and you will have a easier time than most. The paper requirements are really laid out for you, nor is the grading itself. She will help you get an A however, which is cool of her.

Don't be discouraged by the low rating in easiness, writing is a class you have to work your ass off for. I was among the low percent to get an A, and I think this teacher really made it possible. She is one of the hardest working human beings I have met, she personally read one of my papers over 3 times. Oh and don't buy the book, seriously.

Great prof. She assigns three papers which you work on throughout the semester, which I liked because some other profs assign more than three. She gives good and helpful feedback on all the essays and takes extra time to look them over if you have concerns. Don't buy the green book, you never use it, but buy the other one its helpful for citing.

Don't be discouraged by the easiness rating. I do not like writing, but Kierzek did everything in her power to help me get the best grade possible. She is very nice and is always willing to help. She gives a good amount of busy-work, but it helps. If I had to do it over again, I'd take her class every time.

I absolutely loved having Professor Kierzek. I would take her for WRT150 all over again, it was definitely worth having an 8 AM to take her class. She provides great feedback on your papers and will tell you exactly what you need to do to achieve the grade you want. You can really tell that she cares about her students succeeding and is very kind.

oh my gosh cutest professor ever I love her so much! She is so sweet and friendly and she is so helpful. I love how how actually cares about her students. If you want an A she will definitely try to get you there if you are willing to put in the work for it. She makes the class less dreadful to go to.

Great all around teacher, very caring and respectful

I LOVED her. I'm a writing major and for my first writing class I felt well prepared for my following writing courses. She shows care for each student and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure you're getting the help you need. She gives you the necessities to get an A in this class. Absolutely recommended as a WRT 150 course.

Kierzerk is one of my favorite professors so far here at GV. Even though many people complain about WRT 150 I didn't mind coming to her class. I feel like she taught me so much!

Professor Kierzek is a great person. She really cares about all her students and went out of her way to try to make sure everyone succeeded in her class. I love writing and she made it so much more clear to me why I love it. I would definitely recommend taking her but be ready to work for your grade, she will not hand you the A.

One of my favorite professors so far! Definitely be prepared to work if you want a good grade. Attendance is preferred, but you can miss up to 4 times. You write only 3 papers, but need to get a C to pass the class. I would recommend her. I learned a ton from this class and I will use my knowledge learned for future courses at Grand Valley.

Great professor! I am a writing major and she definitely helped me feel more prepared for upcoming writing classes. We wrote 3 papers; however they were not difficult.

She is a good professor and give good feedback on your essays. In order to do well in the class you have to put a lot of work in and use all the resources she has available for you. Also gives a lot of work every week to work help on your essays. I dont like writing but she made it a lot easier and I learned a lot!

Professor Kierzek's class was easily one of the classes I put the most time into. I did not imagine receiving an A in her class but with what I had learned from her feedback, I was able to implement that back into my writing. She cares about what she teaches. "The writing center is your best friend." Use that sentence wisely.

I know everyone hates this class, but Prof. Kierzek tries to make this class as painless as possible. As long as you show up and put a good amount of effort you will do well. Take is from me a a bad writer who got a B+

For any writing class there will be many papers to write. Professor Kierzek makes the process easier. She gives great feedback and establishes fair deadlines for each paper. Budget your time wisely and stay on top of your papers and this class will not stress you out. Your best resource is to visit the writing center as many times as possible!

Professor Kierzek is great. She's super sweet and caring. The papers in this class weren't bad at all and she's not a super hard grader. I highly recommend her if you take WRT 150.

This is one of the most dreaded classes at Grand Valley that most people will take at some point, but prof Kierzek made me actually care about my writing and I wanted to go to class. She really cares about the outcome of every student's work and I loved talking to her outside of class. She is both a great person and a great professor!

I had professor kierzek for wrt 130 and she was super nice and very helpful. Her class was very easy points but she does give good feedback! I would recommend for wrt120 and 130

Professor Kierzek is such a nice and caring professor. She really does care about her students and takes the time to get to know you. I would 100% take her again. The work is doable and pretty easy.
