RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!! TEACH YOURSELF 300 PAGES PER TEST OR YOU'RE IN FOR IT!! Tests over material she hasnt even talked about in class. Memorize EVERY detail of EVERY sentence in text, study guides, and even labs just to pass!! Test over 10 chapters - wanted to cover 43 chapters in a semester. RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN dont take her class!!!
Gave the same test to nonmajors class that she gave her majors class! EVeryone failed! 25% of material she never even mentioned in class. IF TCC has an brains at all she wont be teaching here long
first exam was TOUGH - but it was her first too, so the next may be better. she has great "hands on" ways of presenting material & i think she is a good teacher but she likes to discourage her students & tries to convince them that they aren't cut out for any career that involves science. i find her very condescending & that's frustrating...
At first she had me really pissed off but I've formed a different opinoin about her. I can't believe how gracious she has been with letting people make up tests. It's true you have to work really hard in the class, but it's passable and you can get a good grade it all depends on how you approach it. Great info for anatomy, micro, etc
I think she is still learning the college way of life. She has taught high school for 16 years. I think she has learned alot this semester and will get better with time. She definitely knows her stuff and seems fair to me. You might want to give her another semester to get the kinks worked out.

This is the worst class I have ever taken in college. I have taken some incredibly difficult classes but I've never had a teacher that bends words the way this one does. She will form an opinion about you right off, and if she doesn't like you than god save your soul..... this b***** is crazy
Nice lady. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable for a ex-high school biology teacher. She did a great job for her first year of teaching college. I do not recommend taking this class as a blowoff clas. I passed this class, but had to work hard for the grade. You will have to listen in class, because some of the material she covers verbally.
Tough class, but for what its worth - I think she did a good job teaching this semester. She learned a few things and I learned many things. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to learn. I feel prepared to move on to anatomy and physiology. Thanks Mrs. K.
great teacher
Awesome Professor! She will work with you if you are having problems. The grade you make is the grade you earn, while along the way is helping in every way. If she taught all my Bio classes I would get her for my Prof!
Ok class.Plan to work. A friend from SEC was very helpful with labs. Try to find a book called the Guide to Writing for how to graph,do reports etc.. She tries to help you understand.
She is an awesome teacher. You have to study, but she makes thing very easy to understand. She's very helpful and fun to learn from.
I loved her! I plan on taking her for physiology. I took the class blended in the summer and passed with flying colors, you have to study of course. She tells you what you need to know. Had to get a 45 on the final for an A.
Teacher is helpful when u ask for help, but if you dont seem to care she will help u fail, doesn't give study guides for test, dont recommend taking blended class for this course, unless u dont have a life.
passionate about what she's teaching, dedicated, respect her and she will you
I have had Mrs. K for biology and physiology. I had her the 1st semester she taught and she really struggled. She has come a long way and will just get better with time. She is not easy, but she is very helpful and wants to make sure you learn the stuff. I didn't do 2 of the extra credits she assigned and still had an A without the final.
Best teacher I have ever had. I am pre-pharmacy, so I have had numerous biology classes. She is by far the best prof. You work for your grade, but she will help you in every way possible. Labs were fun and easy. I would take her for every bio class if I could.
Lab were rather lame. She does seem to have a decent grasp of the material. She is willing to work with you to improve your grade. Rather a boring class.
Had her spring of 07 in BIO for Non-Majors..very tough teacher class is hard but she works as hard as you do. Gives you the notes to every lecture, study the notes, pass the test. Lots of chances to get points besides the test. Great teacher maybe the best at TCC
I loved this teacher, she was really helpful and I feel like I learned a lot. she was really nice too =)
Mrs. Kneafsey is awesome... I just want to add this for anyone that is still deciding on a professor. I had her in fall of 2007 for Biology for majors. I am taking her in fall of 2008 for physiology. Actually I scheduled all of my classes around her class just to be SURE that I had her class! I promise-show up, take notes, and TRY-U will love her!
I would not take a class from this professor again.
Mrs. K was a great teacher. She knows her stuff. The labs were fun and if you do all you work you can make a C on all the test you cancome out with an A. She will always help you. I took her blended class in the summer and came out w/ an A, so anyone can get an A. Take her she is awesome.
Her visual aides are surprisingly helpful. She holds high standards for all of her students. Go to class and lab. Tardiness in lab is more of a problem than in class. I got an "A" and I'm really proud.
need a biology teacher? choose this one!! she breaks down anything confusing so you can understand it, you will be going back to her notes for future bio type classes bc she teaches so well. you have to put some effort into work but if you want biology to be a fun class and you want to learn cool stuff you need this amazing teacher!! SHE ROCKS!!
I would not ever take her again. She gives out a ton of homework and the tests are crazy hard. She really does try to explain things but the stuff on her test comes out of nowhere. I typically can sail through a class, this one is another story. I dont recommend her at all.
Test are unreal. I think that she needs to take that into consideration. The class wasn't bad, it was the tests that was so horrible. If your a test taker KUDOS! If not look for another teacher.
This is not the teacher for you,if you have any kids. Test are TREMENDOUS HARD! She can't prepare you for the test she gives. STUDY STUDY STUDY, or run like hell.
She is very nice, very knowledgeable and helpful. I did really great on everything until the very final exam. I don't know why, but it was VERY HARD. I had a 100% inthe class then made a 68 on the final?!? I studied, but I do not know where those questions came from. I'm thinking about taking her for physiology, but I'm not sure
I have kids and her test are hard but I've learned so much. She is the most caring, smartest person I've ever ment.
grat teacher, will work with you if you need the extra help, very entertaining and never boring. great teacher!
Her test are HARD! They make no sense. Her lab is great and interesting but her lectures were dry and boring. She tries.... She needs a couple of more years under her belt. Your major is not her interest.
Made it clear what she expected out of you.
Mrs. K is so awesome! I took her 2 semesters in a row. I've always somewhat enjoyed biology, but it really got interesting when I took her class. She helps with anything you need! She is very sweet and makes difficult things a lot easier to understand! I definitely recommend her class. You WILL need to study, but she makes notes for every chapter t
Great Teacher! Took her physiology 2154 class Spring 2009. She is enthusiastic and knows her stuff. Gives you everything needed to do well. Test can be tricky but her handouts cover the information.
I took her online biology for non majors during the summer. A lot of work was given each week. As long as you keep up with the work each its pretty easy. If your not into a bunch of work every week you should not take the summer class.... She put 16 weeks into 8 by doubling the workload for each week. But all in all it wasn't too bad.
I had her for Physiology. Tip: study your notes the day you take them! There are a lot so you can't wait until test time to study them. Labs were fun.. felt like some were just busy work tho. Tests are hard and study guides don't help... but TONS of extra credit! Loved her energy and humor. Fun, smart professor.
I love Mrs. Kneafsey. Her teaching style is great. Your grade comes from test, open book quizzes and labs. Labs are easy you just need to show up. Test are hard but as long as you do all the other assignments you can easily still get a C. That's my kind of science teacher. I love her grading scale! Take her if you can.
Very easy class! I took this as a online class and got an A very easily. She has quizes and labs due every Saturday, but all her quizes are multiple choice and she grades the Labs very easy. Highly recommend this class for an easy A.
Took her the first semester she taught at TCC. She's an amazing instructor! I highly recommend her - her teaching style really makes things stick in your head. I still use her teaching info in my different classes today. FYI: I am now in my final semester of nursing school =)
Very knowledgeable in this subject. Will help in every way to help you raise your grades. Gives out lots of bonus points. Labs are always in groups. Only bad thing is that the study guides she gives you has nothing to do with actual exams. And exams are pretty hard. Must study all notes.
The most attractive teacher I have ever had. Had a crush on her all semester long. Extremely helpful lady. Very good communicator and very confident woman. She was very knowledgable of the course material. She went as far as to try and help me learn to manage my time better. As an adult student with two jobs, I needed help.
AWESOME TEACHER! Very knowledgeable. Love her style of teaching. Best teacher I've had. I don't ever remember having to do homework. Lectures on overhead with book and gives you notes so you may be able to go w/ out a book, IF you have to. Labs were easy, just show up. Study for the tests and you will do fine. I passed with a high B.
Mrs. K is a great teacher! She is very informative and very helpful. Notes are handed out for every chapter. Watch out for the tests though! They are brutal at times! I took her as a blended class and everything online was easy to understand and helpful! Lots of online quizzes!
She is a great teacher. I took her based on recommendation. Her pet peaves: tardiness & texting during lecture. She is very helpful & understanding. Had her for Bio for Majors & Physiology in the same semester and got a B in both, without hardly studying. Very generous on extra credit.
Incredibly intelligent, almost too smart! If you really want to dig deep into physio then this is the class. If you are looking for an easy A STAY AWAY! She picks favorites so I recommend not being late ever or you are done with, she wont give you her time. Tests are brutal but she does give extra credit. Dont expect any favors for circumstances.
Awesome teacher! The labs are cool, lectures are fun and Mrs. K goes out of her way to help students if they ask! The quizzes are easy, the 3 100pt tests are beasts, but I still passed with an A! LOVE Mrs. K!!! highly recommend this class!!!
I took Biology for non-majors online with Mrs. K. I have always had a hard time in science but she made it very easy to understand. I highly recommend her!
I took Biology for non-majors with Mrs. K online this summer. I have always had a hard time in science but she made it so easy to understand. Highly recommend her!
Took her for Intro2Bio4Majors 2 semesters ago and she was great! The first test is the hardest [which she will tll u] but as lng as u follow alng in class and do the reviews, you'll do fine. She is very helpful and knowledgeable so dnt be afraid to ask questions. Definitely tke her!
Awesome professor! Always willing to help and answer questions! I had her for intro to bio for majors and the class is extremely hard with a lot of information to retain but with lots of effort, a passing grade is within reach. Highly recommended! Tip: form study groups to ensure that you get the most of the informations :]
She is an awesome instructor. She tries to lecture to all learning styles. She's really a patient, caring & understanding instructor. Her class is challenging but what biology class isn't. If you attend all lab and lecture, do all the homework you WILL do well. Also do all the extra credit even if you don't think you need to. I got a B in her class
Wonderful instructer! She really works with you to help you get each chapter.
I absolutely loved this class! Even though the tests were difficult she gave you a lot of extra credit opportunities and study guides. She is very hands on and keeps her lectures very interesting. She wants you to succeed and will help you if you ask. She even offered me scholarship information on my future schooling.JUST DON'T BE LATE!
I had Mrs. Kneafsey for both Biology for Majors and Physiology. I absolutely loved both classes. She makes you feel welcome to come to her for anything. I will truly miss her and her class. I highly recommend her Biology class and if you need Physiology as well, you should definitely take her Physiology class!
GREAT TEACHER!!! Science is not my best subject and I still walked away with the best grade in the class. She is great at explaining things. Would recommend her if you are willing to work for your grade. Test are hard but she is very lenient with extra credit. Absolutely take her class!!!!
She is one of the most amazing teachers. She makes class a time to explore and evolve. She does multiple approaches to teaching so she connects with everyone. Her test are hard, but she is good at giving extra credit. I WOULD TAKE HER FOR ALL OF MY CLASSES IF I COULD!!!! LOVE HER, and wears the coolest necklaces!!! lol
My first semester I took her and loved this class! I learned so much she is the sweetest teacher ever she wants you to pass very helpful and caring! She has a lot of assignments but they're mostly easy and dont take long. I wish she taught everything because I'd love to have her as my teacher every class.
I took the blended Biology for Majors. Her tests are difficult. But her syllabus is set up if you do all the discussion boards, attend class, and the online homework, and extra credit. You will at least get an B even if you perform badly on the tests. She does offer some extra credit.
She is a great teacher and I learned a lot from her class. You really have to study and do your work, and make sure you learn the study guides she hands out! She is one of the good ones in teaching. It was a pleasure to learn from her.
She is a great teacher. She is very clear and puts things in very simple terms. You have to study to do well, but she tells you exactly what to study.
Wonderful class and professor. I learned so much!! It is not an easy A, but she makes it interesting and enjoyable. Any questions, just ask, she is extremely helpful and knows her stuff!!
Mrs. Kneafsey is a great person but despite that, I would not recommend her class.Tests covered 6-8 chapters and study guides were ambiguous at best. Questions were confusing or about topics that hadn't been reviewed. If you take the class, do every lab and every extra credit and you can still make an A. Dont beat yourself up about test scores.
Best professor I've had. Super clear, doesn't test much, but if you attend class and pay attention, easy A. I would take a class from her again if I could.
I went into Biology for Majors dreading it. Ms. Kneafsey was recommended to me so I hoped for the best. She turned out to be the most knowledgeable professor I've had to date. She's all business so show up on time and prepared and all will be good. You will actually learn in this class.
Ms. K ROCKS ... Best professor there is. Super clear. Show up for class, do the work. Easy A, but Ms. K is not a push over ... would take her again if I could ... She's extremely clear, uses a smartboard, uses the text, labs are awesome. She KNOWS her stuff. You would be foolish to NOT take her class for Bio for Majors or for Physiology.
I took human phys and Zoology/Genetics in high school and sailed by in this class. For the ones who have not learned this stuff before, she really breaks it down. She outlines every chapter and knows the answer to every question there is. Just make sure to actually read the text, SHOW UP, and do assignments in time. Lab is awesome!
General Biology for Non-Majors Online: Co-taught with Jennifer Cole. Very clear in what she expected. 2 exams at NEC. Middle exam is online/open book and was very difficult (only thing that brought my grade down). Both professors easily reached via email. Kneafsey really knows her Biology and is passionate about the material. Highly recommended!!
Mrs. K was a great instructor. She was very helpful in all areas. The tests were a little difficult, and required a lot of studying.
Incredible Teacher...if you're looking for an easy A then don't take her class..but if you're looking to get the grade to match the effort you put into the class and to have EVERY possible opportunity to learn - this is the Professor you want. She will answer your questions as long as you have them. Very clear in her lectures and lab assignments.
She is not a easy A but you will definitely learn in the class. Test are hard she expects you to be able to apply the info to life. But you can make a A if you put forth the effort. I would definitely recommend the class to anyone who needs to know the info for further use.
Mrs. Kneafsey is a great professor. Her test are hard, but she will help you and gives lots of extra credit opportunities. I would definitely recommend her if you wish to learn!
For most part the class is fairly easy but it is not a coast class. You do have to make a commitment to study and be able to explain the material. The test are kind of tuff if you are not familiar with the material.
Instructor frequently got information wrong, but would not admit it. Treated ESL students unfairly (harder grading, language nitpicks). I had an A, but felt it was inadequate preparation for future career, so dropped. If you have to know it & don't, avoid.
She is a great instructor. Very helpful and accommodating. She Gets grades entered in a reasonable time and she responds quickly to messages and emails. I took a 3 week fast track course. The workload was very high and the tests were extremely difficult. I always read and studied material as directed. Not an easy A, but good instructor.
Excellent professor. Makes Biology interesting and useful. Tests are hard, you have to study and know what will be on the tests. I walked away with an A, and I think I missed the class 4 or 5 times. Offers EC and is flexible. If you want to learn Biology, take this class.
very helpful you need to pay attention in her class and you will pass.very knowledgeable instructor i enjoyed her class just study and listen she even gives u the notes :)
Mrs. K is very knowledgeable, she wants everyone to pass her class... she gives you the notes and helps you,the catch is you have to show up to class and lab and of course study... i really enjoyed her class
I HIGHLY recommend Mrs. K. Not an easy A, she expects you to learn the material. But she is great at explaining complicated topics and very helpful. Always got back to me on questions/emails. I took the blended class and the point expectations were clear. She is on top of grades and organized. Don't take her if you just want an Easy A though.
Took general Biology Summer 2013. Lots of work and labs and a hard class. Extremely hard tests. Not an easy teacher or easy class at all.
Great class, interesting material. She applies it to daily life and actually teaches it on a level you can get. Very helpful and wants everyone to succeed. Extra credit is available and homework is easy points, if you read and attend class. This class you will have to study for. I loved it and would take any class she teaches.
GREAT PERSON, GREAT TEACHER, AND GREAT ATTITUDE. I HAD EVEN WORKED FOR HER AND SHE IS SO CARING AND COMPASSIONATE. SHE WILL WORK WITH YOU ON ASSIGNMENTS IF YOU HAVE A LEGITIMATE EXCUSE. SHE MADE HER CLASS SO INTERESTING WITH HANDS ON ACTIVITIES NEARLY EVERY DAY.
She is very helpful and really cares about her students. She wants everyone to succeed and goes out of her way to help. This is not an easy class, and attendance is a must. Put forth the effort and you will have an A.
Do not take this class. You can do everything that is asked and never missed a day. Good grades on all homework. Still failed...... Warning.....
She is a really a good professor, she wants her students to do well in their next step in life. However, she is super picky, and her test are really really hard. Open questions, fill the blank and hard multiply choice. The study guide its not really helpful.
Great teacher, hands on, cares for her students, nice, easy to understand,
She was one of the best teacher's I've ever had. So encouraging and interactive with learning and she teaches a couple different classes, so if you have the opportunity to take any of her classes definitely do so! Not an easy A and she makes you work to get your grade, but she's flexible and overall an awesome teacher!!
You'll learn a lot from Kneafsey but her class is tough. You have to spend a lot of time studying and doing assignments on mastering. She has one paper presentation and 4 tests and quizzes. Her tests are tough and you have to really know your stuff to be able to pass them. Labs are fun and easy. Overall it was a good class.
Prof. Kneafsy is very knowledgeable and puts concepts into a real life perspective. I would take her until I graduated. Tests are difficult but this is prerequ for majors. Time to stop looking for easy As and learn the material, especially if you plan on health care. I'm surprised her reviews aren't praising her for exactly that. Go kneafsy!
Professor Kneafsey is amazing as a teacher. Her lectures are great and useful. She's great as a professor, not as person you want to joke with. She is serious to the point and will not take any form of horseplay. If you don't study, you're definitely going to fail. If you are treating this class as a blow-off, might as well not take it at all.
Mrs Kneafsey is a great professor. Her lectures are thorough, and she even provided an outline; making note-taking easy. I really learned and retained a lot of information needed for later classes. If you miss class, you miss a lot. Everything you need to know is in the lecturesoutlines, but having the book helps.
Her tests are hard, but she is very helpful. She gives out notes that include most of what is on the tests. The material is challenging, but not impossible. Her lectures can be very interesting; I learned a lot. Would recommend it for anyone who is willing to put in the effort.
As long as you put in the effort, you'll get good grades. Deadlines matter!! She is VERY helpful and emails back right away. She leaves comments on your work so you know where you went wrong or if you did great. The textbook is on openstax for my class (Biology for Non-Majors) so it's free. We use it a LOT so it's important.
Yes, she makes you work for your grade. Does this mean you have to study 247, no, but you do have to study. She is understanding and will meet you half way if you are trying! I took her for blended class, I really enjoyed it. She knows what she is talking about and is a really nice lady. If I could take her again, I would!
You do have to do the work, but the work is pretty easy and kind of fun. One of the labs for online was literally putting jelly on toast and flipping it counting how many times it landed on which side. Do the work and its easy!
Kneafsey is a great instructor! I took this class as a pre-req for the nursing program and felt adequately prepared. You WILL have to put in a little bit of effort, but her class is NOT hard. Come to class (don't miss the quizzes) , pay attention, and you will do fine. I would recommend her to anyone!
This class is very hard for a intro class. Shes a very tough grade (get an answer wrong if your spelling is incorrect). She does care for her students and tries to help as much as she can to help but you have to study pretty much daily to make a good grade. The reviews on here are making it sounds like she a easy teacher but she is very hard.
Her lectures are good, but her tests are AWFUL!! She gives out study guides, but they do not help at all. The tests make this class very hard to pass.
Prof Kneafsey is passionate about teaching. She will help anyone understand a concept if they don't get it whether it's over email or calling her. That being said, her class is tough. Learning assessments (tests) are extraordinarily difficult. She always sprinkles extra credit in little places. I would take another class from her in a heartbeat.
This class is very difficult. Test are impossible to pass. More than half the class dropped this course. beware people. you seriously have to work and study hard daily and for hours just to keep up with this class. way to hard for an intro science class. she teaches it as a advance science class. would not retake.
This class is not as hard as people are making it seem. If you study and go to class you will pass, you can't expect a grade to be handed to you. Basically, you get what you put in. There is a lot of extra credit opportunities but it is not an easy A class.
this class is beyond hard. the comments on take with a grain of salt. its not a class you just show up and study and you will pass. its studying for hours daily. the test are extremely hard to pass. its not memorization type of class. you actually have to know the information and know how to explain it. not a class for your average student. 2hard
Wish I'd read about her first before I took it because WOW. Yes it's supposed to be fast-paced and they're supposed to fit all those chapters in that short time frame, but this one gives a lot of class work and you have no time to rest. Devote yourself at least 4 days from 8-5 and you have 3 days to rest. Only good thing book is free and online
nice lady but i wouldn't take her again.
I have taken this teacher for intro to Biology and Physiology; I only wish she taught more classes! She takes the time to prepare her students well for their future careers in medicine and shares real world events to connect concepts from class to life. Overall, I would highly recommend Jennifer Kneafsey!
Prof. Kneafsey is a wonderful teacher. She has so much patience and explains everything thoroughly. She gives notes to help give you important information that will be covered on tests and quizzes. You do need to focus and study in this class, but I wouldn't say a lot. Anyone who says this class is too difficult needs to gear up for college!
For starters, Mrs Kneafsey is a great professor. She is not easy, but given that I took her biology for majors class, it shouldn't be easy. You will leave her class actually learning something if you pay attention. She offers a lot of extra credit and even gives a lot of wiggle room on the final grade. I would definitely take her again.
This is a very tough class, however if you take this class this means you have a future in the healthcare field. So she is just preparing you for whats to come in the future. There are lots of opportunities for bonus. She really pushes you to do your best. By the last test I was amazed at how much I knew now! I would recommend her! :)
You will leave her classes knowing the material or you will not pass
Great professor! Is very helpful, gives great feedback, and is treats you with respect! Not an easy course but if you do your work, you'll pass!
Exceptional instructor. Tries to get the class involved by incorporating multiple different teaching styles to reach every student on a more personal learning level. Overall wouldn't have expected anything else as far as difficulty, this class is for students intending to have a career in the healthcare field. She is passionate about her work!
Her online course was pretty easy for me, the work she gives makes it really easy to understand the material. As long as you actually do the work you'll do fine. She gives good reviews before test.
I cannot stress enough how awesome this professor is. She took the time to double check w/ me that I was enrolled in the right class for my profession since I had mentioned it in the "about me" email. I couldn't get the concepts & ended up withdrawing. When I let her know she told me what class was using the same book next semester and the teacher
Mrs. K gives great lectures. She writes and draws on the board to make it easier to follow along. She gives clear instructions and stops to answer your question if you have one. I recommend her for Intro to Bio! She really clears things up that you probably learned before but forgot or don't understand.
Professor Kneafsey is a wonderful professor. She cares about the knowledge gained in the course rather than just the letter grade on a transcript. This class is physiology so it is going to be a lot of material with any professor you have. I wish I could have Professor Kneafsey for every science course! Her labs are super helpful and fun
Very nice professor! Her tests are really hard. I studied my rear off and still couldn't make above a C on the tests. She gives you lots of extra credit and if you attend all labs that will help your grades. She gives you quizzes before each test which are also hard! HW every week! She is always willing to help via email, face time or meetings!
Professor Kneafsey will do whatever she can to help you! She is willing to teach you, even after class. Her quizzes and tests are VERY hard. She is very picky when grading them. It took me half the semester to learn her grading style. I felt like giving up a few times; However, I passed with a B and I gained so much knowledge!
I took an online summer course of Biology for Non-Majors with Kneafsey and had a pleasant experience. It is necessary to read the assigned textbook chapters. Experiments must be done at home, but are cheap and manageable to complete. Sapling is used for homework, which is easy but takes time, and a free textbook is used, so this is beneficial.
This woman is the most amazing teacher I have had in a really long time. She takes her time to present the information and also hands out her own notes to help aid you in your own. Her tests are basic and if you study and pay attention you should have no problems passing. She just became board chair though, so she won't be teaching as much.
Jennifer kneafsey is great. she will help you as much as she can to make you succeed.
This professor is one of the kindest I have met at TCC. She cares about the success of her students and her lectures are recorded. That is so helpful especially when it comes to testing time. Being able to rewatch the whole lecture is more than enough to review what will be on the test. Highly recommend her class, she keeps it interesting.
Love this professor. I only took her online class Biology for Non-Majors, so I don't know about participation. She's extremely accessible, gives good feedback, provided two extra credit opportunities, and goes above and beyond in helping her students. The class was difficult bc it was so short (again, summer class), but was the best way to take bio
Run don't walk to take her class! Easy labs, decent tests. She gives great feedback on your work. Jennifer genuinely wants you to succeed and is very accessible. Would recommend her to anyone.
She is very passionate about her work, so passionate that she ensures that each week you have a lab (or two), an assignment, read a chapter, watch three or four of her videos and read her notes along with something extra just in case you have haven't done enough. If your major is nothing to do with Biology do not take her class.
Prof. Kneafsey is the MOST caring professor I have ever had. She tried so hard to make sure you were succeeding not just in her class but in TCC in general. The work got overwhelming at times but she was always accessible. Her grading style is tough but she makes sure you understand where you went wrong or right. Definitely recommend her!
Read your assignment one week before it's due and keep an eye out if you need to plan, so it's a lab class, it'll have more work.
Amazing class, took it over the summer with no difficulties. Weekly dietary analysis, so plan ahead or write down what you eat. Overall, great class.
she is such a kind hearted person! I loved taking her class. keep yourself on trac!. Some quizzes, labs, homework after every chapter. One short presentation. I would recommend taking her class, she does all she can to help you succeed. Just don't slack, do the homework, study a week before the exam, study for quizzes.
I was not a fan of science coming into this, but she really is passionate about it and makes class fun, she's a great professor and you always knew what material would be covered in the exam. Only thing I would say it is a very study-heavy course.
Exams feel AI generated, most fail them. OpenStax homework feels like majors, claims she doesnt have access to view it. Lab days are split bewteen 2days, due dates are never fair, normally weeks apart. Will count u absent being 5mins late to a 4hour lab day. MOST ppl failing but she blames our study habits. Homework, notes, labs are never cohesive.
This has been the worst professor I have had at this college. The professor does very little to help you along the way. The professor also was completely unwilling to help when I turned in one assignment only one day late. This was even though I completed the assignment completely. I would not take a class from this professor again.
Home/classwork & lecture doesn't help on tests. Test questions made no sense. No rubric on last Asgmts. So didn't know what I got wrong. To pass: review questions in the book that she never showed or told. Just review the questions in the book and have them memorized. Everything rides on the exams. I don't recommend if you want to learn.
There is so many assignments, reading, time-consuming labs, and tests/quizzes due in such a short time frame. She does not accept any form of late work at all any missed assignments are counted as a zero. Some weeks you have 1 week to complete 3 modules. Each module has 10 tabs/assignments. I do not recommend this class if you have a busy schedule.
Terrible professor! Do not take her class if you have outside workforce biology experiences.
Professor Kneafsey is passionate but the workload is intense. Exams feel AI-generated and many struggle. Still, she wants you to succeed - just don't slack off. Pair unstuck ai with the textbook to stay on track.
Nice professor, can be flexible if needed. Loads of homework and some assignments are spilt into multiple parts with extra due dates - find another bio class if you've already got a lot on your plate. Labs will usually last the full amount of allotted class time. Multiple time-consuming assignments per week and nit-picky with the discussion posts.
Online 8 week course. Easy= Layout + Communication She provides= Notes + mini-lectures Expectation= Two Modules a week Disliked= Cannot work ahead Loved= Wants students to succeed + Teaching style Cannot recommend this prof enough. I have no interest in bio, but loved taking this course. I even pushed it to my last semester bc I hate bio.
This teacher is an emotional filled person! Depending on how her night/morning went is how she is going to grade, teach, and run her class. I would rather walk in the bike lane at the gathering place than walk down the hallway to her class.
Professor K teaches in a very interactive way. During her lectures, she keeps the class engaged as a group, encourages us to form study groups before tests, and makes her labs fun as well. Be sure to attend both class and lab sessions—she rewards students who have good attendance and work hard!
She is a very understanding professor. Her lectures are thorough and engaging. Labs were so fun. If you liked a particular subject, she would help you find more resources to learn more about it. Encourages outside-of-class collaboration.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Be prepared to teach yourself. She gives you notes but doesn't talk about t half of the stuff. She blames her bad teaching on your study techniques. She is nice and sweet but terrible at teaching. Do NOT take her!
I've never had a teacher give me more anxiety than this one. You don't know what to expect on quizzes and test. There is no homework, so you're only grades are you quizzes, tests, and labs. She gives you handouts of notes that are 2-3 pages but only covers a few things on it and expects you to teach yourself the rest.
Tough professor but she does prepare for difficult future classes and nursing/ med school. Will really Learn and retain information. Notes are printed. course is kind of unorganized. grades are tests, quizzes, labs. Offers EC and sometimes will sneak it into notes. Notices hard work. read textbook for deeper understanding. Studying VERY important.
Im the only one from my group of friends that passed this class. It was so hard. The test felt like AI wrote it, not her. Didn't feel well prepared for her exams. I would not take her again.
