She is a very good teacher. She grades fair and the majority of her tests are on what she lectures on. She is always willing to explain anything you're having problems with...an open door policy.
Jennifer keeps your interest in Anatomy. She has a wonderful professional attitude to her students with an "open-door" policy for any questions on her class. Her exams and quizzes are always on her lecture notes!! Her exams and quizzes have extra credit to help your score! I hope she teaches Physiology, too, in the near future at Chabot College!!
Jen is awesome. Her TESTS are hard! Her quizzes 75% are on her lectures. Listen carefully to all the little things. Oveall is a good teacher and would recommend her. She is always helpful.
Jen is a great teacher! You will definately learn a lot. Tests are on lecture so take good notes. Definately take her for Anatomy!!
Jennifer is a great anatomy teacher, take good notes on everything she says during lectures and study the lab book. Exams are based on lecture. I would recommend her to anyone because she is very encouraging and always willing to help you.
I recommend taking Jens class if you can get in. She gives great notes, the test are based on lecture so make you study your lecture notes. Even the little details are important. Its not an easy class. There is a lot of material to cover so definitely study. Her class is a definite must take!!!
This teacher is really young and cool. Very nice and understanding, doesn't get on your case for stuff, laid back. Her tests are not hard n not easy, n theyre graded on curve. HW is not much at all. U jus gotta go 2 the labs, the lecture isnt that important. Do your labs, the lil hw she gives out, n u can miss a lot of class n still be fine.
If you can get in her class do it! She is such an awesome teacher! I took her Anatomy class over the summer, was it hard? Absolutely, but her teaching style is crystal clear, she's young and has a great sense of humor. VERY helpful, and it is true that all of her test and quizes are based on her lectures, extra credit on exams as well! TAKE HER!
She was extremely helpful! There was soooo much information but she paced it as best she could and was always available to help.
good teacher would reccommend going to every class if you want to do well... i got an A by studying every now and then....
Take her class no matter what. I honestly studied only a couple of days before each exam. easy question, extracredits, curves too. you have to work so hard to fail. She doesnt teach that much any way. As long as you show your face to her and chat with her you are done. talk to her everytime you see her so that she knows you.
I took her class last fall. if you just want to pass the class take her. I dont know if you are going to learn but you will pass. I dont know how somone can fail her class. Be cool with her, she will pass you! I got an A and I didnt put even a fraction of time that I spent for my history class!
I am keep hearing that people saying that they passed her class without working hard. Who cares? she is willing to pass you and you are complaining?! Yes, she doesnt teach that much and her exams are curved with extracredits and easy questions, so what? She is new and trying to make everybody happy to keep her job, so use this situation dummy!
I missed lots of classes. Just complete the lab. Use online to do ur extracredit copy and paste). To be honest, I dont think if she looks at them at all. Just she wants something in her hand. She curves too so u pass the class unless u dont take any test.
SHE IS GREAT!
I didnt like this class...if u dont like Biology dont take her class...her tests are hard and her final is cumulative...I wasnt impressed!
I took the hybrid class. It was a lot of work, and a hard class, but the subject is hard so what else can you expect? She said she didn't curve. She's very nice, approachable, and answers email quickly. Be prepared to study A LOT. She isn't as easy anymore as some of the previous comments say.
She is very good and helpful.
Very hard class!! Prepare to study 24/7. Tests are half lab half lecture. You have to know all the bones, muscles, and tissue by slides. Good Luck.
She is good in explaing the theory but not the best in lab. She was not very helpful in showing all the nerves, veins& arteries. We had to spend hours in science lab looking for everything. I just hope that she could be more approaching.
She needs to go back to school and learn to teach. She hardly teaches anything constructive in lab. You have to do everything yourself. She gives lots of paragraph writing questions and you lose lot of marks if you do not know the right answer. She does not initiate any explanation unless a student asks. Please avoid her at all costs!!!!
the hybrid anatomy class is very difficult. I spent all my time studying and going to open labs. Make flash cards, form a study group, use the PATH center and open labs, and go to office hours so she can get to know you. Definately make the time to go to extra credit seminars, can get up to 20 extra credit points.
TO PASS THIS CLASS,I SUGGEST U NEED TO FORM A GROUP STUDY SESSION AT LEAST ONCE/TWICE A WEEK OR STUDY W/ SMART PEOPLE!U HAVE TO TAKE NOTES & MEMORIZE TO PASS EXAMS.LANGE MAKES ANATOMY SIMPLE BUT BE CAUTIOUS W/ HER WRITTEN EXAMS.WORDINGS ARE TRICKY & U HAVE TO BE VERY DETAILED/SPECIFIC W/ YOUR ANSWERS.PREPARE TO MEMORIZE & INVEST HELLA TIME!GOODLUCK
Don't take her.Anatomy is hard but she is making it more harder than it is.she said that she didn't take A in her anatomy class when she was in school so why would you take A? I was very dissapointed with this class.I am an A student,I had my GPA 4.0 but this class lowered my GPA and I hate it.I studied at least 20 hours weekly and still got a B.
If you dont mind getting a "C" in this course, go ahead and take her - most everyone in her class gets a C - even if you flunk mosts of the tests BUT if you want an A - do NOT take her. She is anal about her essays and never clear on what she wants. You have to spell EVERYTHING correctly on her exams and labs or you get marked off!
Great class! In all my years of college and even a couple of prior degrees this class was among the most challenging of all. Excellent learning experience.
Horrible teacher! Biology is already hard but she will make it impossible to pass, her class is ridiculous, only 4 people out of 30 something pass it and with a C. you can study all day long and when you take the test, nothing from the book will be there. SOS. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!!! I REPEAT, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS
Extremelly hard class, almost no one passes it, good luck
This class has A LOT of material, that's what makes it hard. The labs seem super tedious but they help you in the end. You need to study actively instead of passively to really know this stuff the way she wants you to. Study the Powerpoints and use the CD-ROM to ID everything she mentions on the labs, and you'll be golden.
Her class is extremelly hard to pass but she is nice
lol, take her if you want to fail. this class is almost impossible to pass. at the beginning i took it just to learn, but at the end all i wanted was a C- if i was lucky
Take any teacher but her, she makes the class impossible to pass, it will scew up your GPA
She is extremelly strict wiyh her stuff, she will make you do essays as if you were in an english class and spect you do to the composition perfectly, besidea the tons and tons of homework that she will give you My opinion? Don't take her
Prepare to study 24/7 and still not pass She is impossible
Anatomy is a hard subject and the material reflects that. If you studied hard and still got a unsatisfactory grade, then you didn't hard enough. If other students can get A's, then so can you. Don't just study the material, LEARN IT! If you can manage that, then you'll do fine.
This teacher is more about flaunting her plastic figure to male students for attention. Her lecture is NOt detailed and she favors males!!! ***
DO not take Mrs/Ms. Lange, she will fail you with a BIG F!! She does not lecture in detail, and its hard to get any kind of help from her. Strangely I have watched her eat in class as if she is time passing...YUK!!
This professor is a little unclear sometimes. You need to put the time in to pass the class, time management is key. She is good at teaching but you must study everything. Take pictures of models and study. To pass her class you can have 65% and get a C which I think is great. She only offers extra credit by adding extra questions on the tests

One of the best teachers I've ever had. She's really into her work. She'll always make time to help you. Anatomy is tough and it should be a rigorous course and I congratulate her in making it challenging. No one should simply squeak by and pass without putting in the effort. She's an incredible teacher!
I highly recommend her for Anatomy. She is understanding, organized, and she puts in a lot of effort to help you understand the material. I wish I studied more for a better grade, but I still passed her class. You have to be prepared to study a lot to get a good grade. Basically what you put into the class is what you will get out of it.
Good teacher. Keeps the material interesting with a variety of learning activities (slides, diagrams, anecdotes). No surprises on exams and quizzes since every question is addressed in lecture and/or lab. Easily approachable and very nice. Attendance is mandatory. No need to read the book except as a reference.
Great professor! I know people have rated her as hard, but it's not her. It's just a lot of material to learn and if you're new to medical courses it's all going to sound like a foreign language. Her lectures are very thorough and organized. Go to class, spend lots of time quizzing yourself and you'll do great. Tests are straightforward.
I took her hybrid anatomy class in 2011 where we only met once a week for lab and the rest was online. She was straight forward with her teaching, her recordings of lectures and directions were very clear as well as consistent with her exams. You can ask her questions anytime! If you pay attention and do the work you can't fail her class!
Ms. Jen is awesome the class is tough because there's a ton of material to learn. The tests come from her lecture and the labs and her grading is fair. There are 4 tests and 4 practicals spaced through out the fall/spring and summer is more intense. She welcomes questions and gives tons of extra help. Take her shes great.
Ms. Lange is an awesome teacher! I took the hybrid course which was alittle intense but I still passed her class with an A! Shes very helpful her door is always open and she gives out extra credit! If you put in the hard work you definetly will get an A! by far shes one of the best teachers I have ever had :)
Very strict grader on homework, labs, and tests. The worse thing is that I got docked a point for not coloring in something all the way. Tests are designed to trick you and topics not covered in lecture were on the test, very confusing. On each test more than 65% of the class failed with a D or lower. Take another teacher.
Mrs. Lange was good for Anatomy. The course has plenty of work and she will mark points of for small things but her difficulty isn't that bad. The work load for the class is just a tad rough because of the double lab days. Her clarity and helpfulness was good too. If her class is opened you will be alright. Just study!
This class was really difficult because teacher really didn't teach anything. She just gave back her feedback on what we did. She just expected us to learn on our own by doing the worksheets online. Most of the stuff we did wasn't even due in class. Then there we're these pointless concept maps which everyone did not enjoy. Don't take this teacher.
Friendly & approachable teacher. I rec book reading in addition to detailed notes to ace exams. Lab practicals r straight forward, 55 fill in the blanks. To get an A, master the material immediately, be on top of it, b/c the amount of material can feel overwhelming. Study 10-15+ hrs/wk outside of class. Grading on written work can b meticulous.
Hard class, but if you study and review lecture and lab and you can do well. Teacher tends to talk to the male students more often. Homework can be tricky. She is a great with lectures and her tests cover only what is lectured. Labs are all on your own and you get out of it what you put in.
Anatomy is tough just because of how much material you need to know. If you study you will do well. She is a good teacher, the way she explains the subject helps you better understand it. She's a hard grader, and her wording is kind of tricky. But if you ask questions she will help. This class is what you put into it. She gives some extra credit
This class is not all that bad. You need to put in at least 10 hours of studying a week and read the notes she gives you. She gives you everything to get a good grade. Lab practicals are easy but you have to know the models to a T. Don't miss class and don't be lazy with the homework. The more detailed the better. Open labs are always helpful
Miss Jen is a great person. She is a tough grader, expects you to clearly understand things that she's know for 10 years and we've known for 10 weeks. But you will get the grade that you put into the class. Her tests are tough and grades even tougher. I only got a 100% on a homework assignment twice and I put a bunch of time into it. Good Luck.
Jennifer is a great Anatomy teacher. She made lectures fun and engaging and everything is outlined perfectly on the board. TAKE FULL NOTES on the lecture because that will be your exclusive guide to passing the lecture exams. Lab exams are easier than lecture, but all in all it just comes down to how much time you put in. Dont slack
I took this class because she had many reviews. I thought if I did my homework and studied hard that I would be alright. She grades hard and her lecture exams are difficult. Her lecture exams are based off her PowerPoint but what is contradicting is that she doesn't even lecture with PowerPoint. This class is more difficult than it needs to be.
Bio25 was very easy. the class was split into three sections. there were only three due dates for all assignments each section has its own due date and grading is based on a running total of points. you choose how many points you want by doing assignments to reach the grade level you want. this intro class was easy class for gen ed transfer
Professor Lange is an exciting professor. I enjoyed lectures and office hours to ask follow-up questions. She injects enthusiasm into coursework that is infectious and encourages thorough engagement. I believe her passion motivated me to be better. She is THOROUGHLY knowledgeable about the subject. I took the hybrid version of this course.
Unless you are able to put in the adequate time and work that goes into this class (watching 2 hour plus videos for quizzes) - I would not recommend this class. Ms. Lange is a very nice teacher - but the class itself is simply TOO much unnecessary work for a GE.
Miss Jenn is one of the best professors that I have had at Chabot. The class is difficult, but she is very helpful and will help you with anything you need. Make sure you take advantage of all the resources she provides on BlackBoard (practice tests, etc.). Take pictures of the models in lab and do the online homework. She gives some extra credit.
She is a nice person however, for teaching it is kind of difficult because she just goes through powerpoints, read articles, etc. All the work is on blackboard and most of the assignments are long video quizzes. Not really interesting. Also, some questions are hard to answer because the information she gives to answer those quizzes aren't enough.
Tests are based only on info that she provides you with. All lectures and mp3s are available from the start. It helps to download the mp3s and listen to them several times. Has lots of helpful study links for practice. Make sure to take pics of all the models. Great class for self-learners, if you need extra help then don't take the hybrid class
She loves to take off points from you assignments and quizzes for illogical reasons. Very picky and unreasonable grader.
If you are thinking, "oh I cant wait to learn about genetics!" slap yourself and wake up. I am a straight A student and this class made me want to cry. Jennifer, please be more clear about your grading criteria and assignments! You will wish you didn't take this class.
Miss Jen is a great teacher. Things to you need to do to pass her class: 1: study all the materials 2:practice test 3:show up and do your labs 4:find a good study buddy 5:use the tutors. I took this class in the summer and it's very fast pace so other semester, you'll have more time to know the materials. She's not hard, you need to do the work!
Horrible teacher, wouldn't bump me 2 points to a B. She had no passion for anatomy and seemed like she could care less about the material herself. Unclear grader, marked points off for the dumbest things. Tested on things she never taught, etc... I'm a straight A student and ended with a C in her class. Save yourself, don't take this class
I took the hybrid version of the class and you have to spend a lot of time studying. I couldnt figure out a good way to study for the class until the middle of the semester because there was just so much material you needed to know. There was a test every week for the hybrid version of the class. Takes points off for the smallest things.
I took her hybrid class and honestly its a lot of work. She has some type of quiz, test, or hw due every week. I basically crammed everything last minute which I don't recommend doing. All that you will ever need for her class can be found in her lectures and in the lab material. I think compared to other professors she trims down a lot of material
Took her hybrid class and prayed to god for a B. She doesn't teach in class because all her lectures are online. Make sure to get peoples numbers so you guys can work and study together. Make study guides and definitely have lots of flashcards. They're annoying to make but they helped me a bunch. There is so much to learn. GOOD LUCK
I took the hybrid class and all lecture material was found online. If your not motivated or a self-learner than I would not recommend taking this class. I got an A in the class but I read the book and studied her lectures notes. Lots of material to learn and memorize. She is fair because she gives a lot of extra credit on exams.
She's a nice professor, but she didn't go over any labs. Her online class meetings didn't help. It was pretty vague what we would be doing. Lectures are difficult to understand because she separates audio recording from PowerPoint. I would advise to take a different Professor!
I took the class during COVID. The whole class was essentially self-paced with three different modules. She provides you with more than enough work to receive an A in the class. Easy A
This class demands your full attention and if you don't pace yourself, you will fall behind. Professor Lange knows her material and is super helpful in office hours so make sure to utilize all the opportunities provided! I really enjoyed taking this class with her and although it was online I felt I got the same knowledge as in-person (except lab)
She is a very tough grader and wants specific answers but isn't specific about the questions she's asking. You will NEED the book and I found that a lot of her exam questions were not covered in lecture. She is also not very organized making her class that much more confusing. I don't recommend her if you want to actually learn and pass with an A.
Good teacher. A lot of HW, studying, reading. Don't expect to go out at all or have full time job, need to study everyday for hours. This class would be better in person as you learn the human body, difficult to learn online. pay for textbook & online code. Very specific on exam answers. 3 written & 3 picture exams. 4 to 5 labs wk. USES PROCTORIO
She was super nice and a very understanding professor but I will never take another class with her again. Her grading is super heavy for the labs and if you don't do well on exams then you prbably wont pass her class. Her class needs 100% dedication and if you want pass with atleast a C you cant have a job and take any other classes.
she was a very kind professor but her learning material is very hard. labs were very time consuming. quizzes/tests were hard and at times, some of the questions wouldn't even be on the powerpoint/lecture. tough grader!! i had to drop her class because it was way too much.
STAY AWAY! During lecture said the N-word with the HARD -er. Super tough grader, in one week 2 super long labs, a in-person quiz almost every week, and 2 online quizzes are due. Spends 4 HOURS sometimes even more on lecture giving us very little time, to NO time to complete labs in class during lab time. Laughs during insensitive moments.
STAY AWAY! During lecture professor said the N-word with the HARD -er. To add to that she is such a tough grader. Lectures are4+ hours giving us very little, to no time to work on our labs which are super time consuming and long. In one week 2 LONG labs, a in-person quiz almost every week, and 2 online quizzes due. Laugh during insensitive moments.
Professor Lange is a smart woman who knows her stuff but is not engaging at all. It is very hard to learn the subject with her style of teaching. Also, the entire class except for 7 of us dropped the course. Do not recommend this professor.
Lectures run into lab time which then makes you spend extra time outside of class, on top of studying, finishing labs. If you go to office hours she will review HW so you can get all the points. Average professor overall, many tangents are taken during lectures. Ok if you have a lot of time to study. Dont take if you already have a heavy work load.
Overall straight horrible professor. you dedicate so much and you fail. teacher is rude and should not be a teacher. A student in class asked her for help and responded with "why cant you teach yourself". dont know how she is teaching. not even worth taking her class skip to getting into another anatomy class.
Professor Lange's class was partially online with labs in campus. I would like to reiterate that she is a tough grader. She never gave attitude and was always willing to answer any question I had. One thing really help in the class was the back of every chapter in the book(online) as long as you always review after every chapter you should be fine.
Don't take her for anatomy. She doesn't teach. She just gives you slide to go over and videos which aren't helpful. She just expects you to know and read her textbook. When you ask her for self she doesn't help you.
Don't bother taking her unless you want to fail, she's so rude, not understanding and does not care at all. She doesn't provide clear lectures. She will make you feel like you aren't even in her class she won't help and won't care if you fail. IF you want to pass I suggest you take a better professor who actually cares about you and your learning.
Be prepared to study on a daily/ weekly basis and teach yourself the material if you're taking a hybrid course. Lab and hw quizzes due weekly. Uses proctorio for exam quizzes. She was accessible outside of class and her office hours were extremely helpful for reviews or ?s. Pls utilize the textbook, atlas/ practice practical, & practice quizzes.
Professor Lange gives extra credit on every exam. Take advantage of this early on to help build and maintain a high grade. Every point counts. Watch her videos and review topics before labs. The class is content-heavy, so review constantly. Her office hours are very helpful. She's kind and approachable.
Terrible. Even after 20 yrs of teaching! She often gives PowerPoint pictures as lectures then maybe writes more detail over them. Lecture and lab exams on the SAME DAY. No cheat sheet. No study guide. Lectures/pictures given to you often don't match what's on exams or quizzes. She doesn't care if you pass or fail. She just loves anatomy.
when she doesnt like being asked questions in class, but i know chatgpt would never treat me that way
I would definitely say this is a difficult class but with professor lange if you really put ur time into this class and study you will pass. She has resources for studying so use them and just make sure you ask questions. Also go to her office hours if u want any additional practice!
she gives out a lot of reading and very long documentaries. her grading is simple -- complete as many or as little assignments as needed to get enough points for the grade you want. more points = better grades -- but that means a lot of work. it was very boring and a lot of work. shes nice though
I would not retake this class again; her grading is excessive more than half my class dropped by the end of the semester, and the rest of us barely scraped by. When you ask for explanations on grades, she doesn't give them. I've never had such bad anxiety in a class before. The best grade you'll get is a C. You'd be better off taking another class.
I don't understand all the bad comments. Professor Lange is extremely willing to help all students and wants everyone to succeed. Labs are super helpful and as long as you do well on labs, the class is pretty easy to pass. 3 midterms + 1 final. Each one has a lab exam for that unit. She also offers tons of extra credit.
Honestly, I was scared of her after reading other people's reviews, and all I am gonna say is that she is a good professor and is caring. Grades are exam-heavy, but she also offers extra credit. Utilize the tutor and her office hours, and I can guarantee you that you will do well in her class. Requires a lot of studying time outside of class though
