She was a very nice teacher, but not willing to help everyone just anoying people. Not very Strict people were talking on there cell phones in class.

She's really good. She drops a test scores and 3 or 5 quiz scores too. She assigns worksheets about once a week so you have alot of chances tog et points in the class. I'm taking her for 115...I liked her.

She was very cut and dry. She was good at explaining simple math in simple terms. Do your work get the grade you deserve type teacher. Sometimes appeared a bit arrogant in answering questions which made some feel belittled but overallI would reccommend.

Ms. Larose is the best Math teacher I've ever had. I considered myself math illiterate, but she explained things in a way that was easy to understand and would re-explain until she felt certain that you understood. She definately expects you to do all of the work in order to do well. She gives lots of extra-credit to help boost your grade.

Gives lots of pop quizzes (not hard, only 3 questions on each quiz) and her tests aren't that bad either. Gives review sheets and is willing to help you out after class. DONT BUY BOOK! Really easy class, she treats you like your still in middle school. She takes small petty points off that add up and drop some of your grade. Homework is online, we never used the book. she makes you take notes and write all your homework down even though its online. Shes a control freak.

had an A in 115 with a difficult prof and currently am carrying a 3.80 accum. GPA and i'm fighting for my life to get a B in this class. She will waste your time spending hours writing notes over material that is already printed in the book. Her Tests are extremely difficult and she will not narrow the Topics for you & you will not finish in time

larose does a good job of breaking things down and helping you understand things. She doesn't let you make up anything but she automaticlly drops your lower quiz score and if you get an a on your binder that she grades then she drops your lowest test score. We didn't use the book at all. As long as you come to class often, this class = easy A

She is not the most exciting woman ever, but she knows what she is talking about. She goes at a nice pace and and is patient the majority of the time. She hits hard on definition, but goes into plenty of detail, giving both easier and harder problems so you are prepared for the online homework and the test.

LaRose clearly explains what she wants, if you get confused just ask. MAKE SURE YOU DO WHAT SHE SAYS AND EXACTLY HOW SHE SAYS IT! The class is fine. If you don't like doing little worksheets and explaining your answers don't take her. She does not try to trick you, just follow her directions and you'll be fine.

The amount of work that is required for this class is insane. She'll give you examples then expect you to get it. The homework is nothing like the notes she gives, however she will respond quickly to questions. Do your work, and go to class. If your good at Math you will be fine. If not, its a struggle.

Ms LaRose is an EXCELLENT math teacher,one of the very best I have met in my lifetime. The homework IS overwhelming. I was very upset when she made an assignment due DURING spring break.She is available to help,and explains procedures precisely. If you do not understand algebra, you Definitely will if you dedicate lots of TIME,you will get an "A".

Larose is a very clear professor. she knows how to do her job with all its needs. Yeah she gives a lot of HW, but math unlike other subjects, needs a lot of work to understand the way it goes, practice ofter practice or you won't get the hang of it. Awesome teacher! I'm not good at Math so this is the first A I've gotten in Math and she made it so easy! A lot of people complain about the portfolio but it's SO EASY, it's basically FREE points and she drops your lowest test score if you get a 90% or higher. No idea what's to complain about. Her quizzes and tests are short. Definitely recommended

I took 2 different math classes that she teaches and received an A in both. I struggle in math but the way she teaches helped me do well. She does give a lot of homework but it helped me to learn the proper way to solve the equations. She is very willing to help anyone who does not understand the work. She does not move on until everyone ready.

Requires you to be very organized with your homework, notes, and all work done in the classroom. A lot of homework, and all online homework must also be copied down on paper and turned in. Prepares you really well for being organized as a future teacher. Tests must be answered clearly or you lose points. Very helpful in understanding math concepts.

I had her for MATH110 and she was great at teaching. Did have homework everyday but she makes sure you understand material. She has office hours and gets back on emails quickly. I'm taking her for MATH115 next semester!

She's the best math teacher at hfc. I learned a lot in her class. In high school I used to hate math and when I was placed in math 074 I didn't know anything. When the semester was over I was able to tuter other students who need help with math 074. She uses baby steps when teaching and very patient with students who ask her for help.

One of my favorite proffesors. She goes in depth with her teaching and encourages office hours if you need help. Going to her office hours helps so much and she really helps you understand the curriculium. There's a lot of homework but it really helps for the exams.

LaRose has been by far one of my favorite professors to date. She explains things so clearly and encourages participation from everyone. If you don't understand something, she's more than happy to help during office hours. She even rounded me up a grade since i was 2 points away from an A! Would take her class again in a heartbeat.

Very meticulous grader. The slightest mistake and prepare to have points taken off. Would be difficult to receive an A in this class. Not impossible just difficult. Prepare for a lot of homework, projects, and discussion boards. NO extra credit offered so you get what you get. After school office hours if you need help. Friendly. Don't miss class.

She is incredibly amazing. Very understanding and is helpful explaining the material. Keep in mind this is a 6 credit class. You will have to put up with a lot of work and put effort. Phenomenal teacher. I failed algebra 2 in high school, then went 4 yrs without taking another math class. I was able to pick up the material in this class flawlessly. Y'all complain about the amount of classwork ... it's a preliminary math class. You'll be thankful for that eventually. Seriously, I cant say enough about this outstanding teacher

I'm currently taking her class right now. I have been to every zoom and all homework and pre-work assignments. This teacher is awesome this is a 5 credit class and there is a lot of work. She offers help and feedback often. I'm just a terrible test and quiz taker. She does watch you with her camera and also you need to explain your work.

I don't know why people are rating her badly, all the people that rated her badly either failed or just are butt hurt from failing. She is hands down the best professor I've ever had. There is more homework than usual, but if you study hard and do all work on time its an easy pass. Also, she gives lots of extra credit, watch out for that.

She gives extra practice beforehand too so you can see in what areas you are lacking and gives extra points you get 80% on the study guide!
