She is great at explaining concepts. Everything on her tests are on her study guides and going to see her with questions on the study guide before tests is extremely helpful. In short she makes it very easy to be engaged and to do well.

Great pick for 2nd Religion requirement - mostly interesting, but can be a bore at times. Be prepared for textbook reading & reading quizzes - do the reading, you'll do great on the quizzes. Tests were take home, VERY lengthy essays. 3 projectspapers & group proj, fun to do!! Easy A -- take advantage of the many extra credit opportunities!

Lectures were really interesting. She gives take home quizzes and tests, and they are all open book, so make sure you read before working on them. Exams are all essay style, just make sure you answer everything. Final group project is important too and she takes into account opinions from group members, so do your work!

Professor Jennifer Lodi-Smith is probably the best professor in Canisius College. She is always excited for class, there is never a dull moment during class. The Sex and Gender topic will make you laugh. She will help you with anything. The work isn't bad. I will recommend taking her!! I am an accounting major too, love her.

Your grade depends on doing the readings and then doing the online quizzes that go along with them, but EVERYTHING is online. So it's super easy. And she's just very nice and goofy in general, so class doesn't always seem like a chore.

Dr. Lodi-Smith was great! She made learning about psychobiographies really fun and interesting. The course doesn't have a ton of structure because she likes to lead it like a grad school course. If you need more structure than that, ask, and she'll work something out with you. She's very easy to get in contact with and willing to work with you!

Lodi-Smith is my favorite psychology professor, I think I took all her classes. High recommend taking her classes. Very enthusiastic , online exams, and straightforward readings. You can tell she loves what she does. Her Fill in the Blank slides help keep you engaged and focused on the important information.

Psychobiography was one of the most interesting classes I've taken outside of my major. We were also able to choose who we analyzed throughout the semester, which made it even more interesting. Having all assignment criteria laid out made it easy for me to work at my own pace throughout the semester, and complete assignments before they were due.

Loved this course! She even gives extra credit if enough people filled out this rating and I wasn't interested in working with babies or kids at first. However, this course made me more open-minded to the idea. Its a very easy class to pass and one of my favorite psych classes by far.

Psychobiography was a super interesting class. She works with you on all your graded assignments until you get a good grade, so it's easy to get an A in the class. You just might have to do an assignment twice to get it. You have to give a few presentations, but they're all pretty interesting and short so it's not bad. Overall, I'd recommend it.

The professor is truly passionate about this subject. Each class begins with some housekeeping information for the week and then we dive into lecture material most days. This facilitates good class discussion and understanding of the topics discussed. There are some nice group projects (I believe one of the longer ones will be changed next year).

This is my 3ed time taking one of her classes. She is really great and very caring. The exams are online and there's no textbook. There are 2 short presentations but they were not hard at all. Definitely take her if you want an A. Even if you don't do well on something, you can always redo it for a better grade.
