Jenn is AWESOME! And she works well w/ Sean Muc. Her lab is pretty easy and a lot of fun, she jokes w/ all of us students! Her tests are walk around the lab and fill-ins, which is great! Couldn't ask for a better lab teacher, I will wait for her to teach A & P II lab, as well!!!

This lab instructor is the BEST! She really wants her students to succeed! She goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is successful! I would recommend her to everyone! She will be the best lab instructor you can find! She should be put in the faculty as full-time! She's the BEST!
She is the BEST!! She will make sure that everyone in the class passes. As long as you study what she tells you, you will do fine! Awesome lab teacher, she should be employed full-time!
She is an amazing instructor and will not move on to another topic unless she is sure you know the material. All of her tests comes from her notes she gives you in class.
She is so helpful.EXCELLENT! She will not go on till everyone is comfortable with the information. Her test are right from her lecture and is sure to let you know what to focus on,when studying for test. She was the only A&P teacher that would actually stay after and help you figure out what you don't get.She should be hired fulltime!
Best lab professor I've ever had. She will make sure you understand everything and will also help you after class. You DO need the lab book for the a & p lab though. Test are set up in stations so it is easier to tell what she is asking. She will always help you when you ask and clear something up if she is not totally clear. Very approachable.
Jennifer is an excellent teacher, and leaves plenty of time to ask question or study. She has a unique way of teaching the student to learn their way of learning.I would highly recommend her.
I absolutely love her!! She is sooo understanding you can talk to her about anything! She uses powerpoints for the test but if you don't take notes in class you won't do go its common sense! But she when you email her questions she will respond ASAP! A+
She is very friendly, helpful, informative, undrestanding, and simply an overall good teacher. She makes sure u understand the material. As long as u listen in lecture, take notes, study the notes for tests u will pass. I wish all my professors could be like her.
awesome teacher! very helpful and is willing to go over anything you are confused on.
Was willing to sit down and explain things but wasnt very clear in class. Seemed like many people struggled, even people that have gotten straight A's throughout school. Sometimes I had no idea where she pulled questions from. Never opened the book. This is A&P 1
Horrible teacher. As an adult learner, I can vouch for the fact that this woman does not know how to teach. Do yourself a favor and take from a teacher with a doctorate who doesn't have to set aside hours outside of class explaining what she should have been able to explain in class. Hates adult learners who know a good teacher from bad one.
Not sure who is writing all the positive reviews. Talk to her former students if you want to know the truth. Holds special study sessions in order to try and explain concepts she doesn't understand herself. Lots of typos and on tests. If you want to learn A&P and get a decent grade, take from a department head with a doctorate who can teach.
Not helpful at all. Puts things on exams that doesn't go over in class or in the text book. Just horrible. Contradicts herself. Goes over test when you don't have them back.
Nice lady, horrible teacher. Simplifies everything in lecture and then asks trick questions on exams. Doesn't answer questions when e-mailed. Impossible to do well in this class.
All and all, she wasn't amazing but she wasn't terrible. She did have some tricky test questions, but you just had to write a little more than what was on the power point. I would take her again.
Ths was the worst class I have ever taken. I have always been a good, honors student and right now I am struggling to pass this class. I have learned this information three or four times and then she writes the tests so the are impossible to pass or study for! I don't know why she is even still teaching!..
I took her coure in the Fall, 2012. She seemed very nice, simplified her lectures and encourage us to study from class notes. However, her exams were impossible,a lot of application questions, that we have not discussed in class. I had to withdraw, because I failed all of her tests. Do not recommend her at all!
If u want to pass this class it's a hit or miss! Serious!! She teaches very vague & her testes are hard!!! So please record her lectures retake notes!!!!!! She isn't easy!!! Grades poorly ! Took Durham for A&P 2 & what a difference !! Take Durham stay away from this teacher if u are going for nursing !! She is a experience RN & will put ur lectures hand to hand with her experience as a nurse!
Jennifer was a great teacher. Her tests are very hard, but if you attend class, take notes, and ask questions you can do well. Print out power points and take notes on them. This class does require a lot of time and effort on your part. Ask for help. She was always willing to stay after to help with any questions. Very nice.
Hated the class, teacher does not know the stuff she teaches. Always confused about what we should be doing, not helpful at all, just wants get class done and go home.Difficult to deal with, impossible to talk to.
nice person but a horrible teacher. she is a power point user. doesnt explain situations that are asked on the test clearly. she tries to make it seem like everything is so simple but on her test the questions are so difficult its ridiculous. stay away from her, if you can.
She does not know how to teach. She goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with anything she is teaching. She puts stuff on the test that she does not go over in class. Does not matter how hard you study. would not recommend this teacher to anyone.
Jennifer is a very nice lady. Unfortunately being nice has nothing to do with her teaching. With that being said. Her lectures are very general. She has power points that are blank and vaguely goes into details enough to fill them out. Her test are too in depth for the hardness of her test. Avoid if you have the chance too!!
She may not be clear at times, but she's straight to the point. If you just take the time to ask her questions for clarity, then you wouldn't have a problem. She is very helpful and will try to help you understand. Take good NOTES & record her lectures.
Jennifer should not be teaching at any level. This is a required course of applied science yet her test are graded completely subjected to her will. This was no fun.
Jennifer McDonough is the best teacher I've ever had. This is a tough course, be prepared to work. If you need extra help she always makes time. I'm going to make sure I can take as many of her classes as possible.
Terrible!!!! Avoid at all cost!!!! Teaches one thing in class and her test are totally different. no matter how much you study she tries to trick you by wording the question so messed up you have no idea whats she talking about. The class is hard as it is and she makes it even worse
Tests are multiple choice, short answer, and extend response, essay. They can be challenging at times. If you pay attention in lecture and study the notes thoroughly you should be able to achieve a good grade in the class. Instructor also has reviews at designated times, which are also helpful.
Jennifer is the most unprofessional teacher I have ever had. I had her for a summer class at BGSU Firelands and she repeatedly talked down about LCCC students. She showed up in wrinkled close and looked like she just rolled out of bed half of the time. She taught like it was A&P for dummies but then her exams were extremely hard!
She is very nice, but a terrible instructor. I received A's in all other courses taken and a "C" in this class when I studied hard, and completed all homework. She talks about things in class opposite of the notes and homework you do at home. Doesn't go over any work. Tests are absolutely ridiculous and nothing you even learn in class.
I took A&P1 with Jen for the third time and finally passed with a c. I had a lot of stuff going on in my home and it was hard to have my mind all in school. She was available before every class to study tutor and talk if needed. I took a&p2 in 8 week summer class. Best science teacher i have had. Just have to learn her testing ways and you're good!
Professor McDonough nice and helpful. to do well in her class you have to focus deeply 100% of the time or else you will miss notes and miss possibly key information. Not the best lectures as she will only have the word up on the board and she will give you the definition vocally so you have to listen. I studied so much and Exams were still tricky.
I had jennifer for A&P I & now for A&P II, She provides you with all the information, but its up to the student to study and apply it. Her tests are challenging, but once you learn her testing and grading style, it becomes easier. She's very sweet and always makes herself to help. Studying with her outside class every so often is extremely helpful
Jennifer is a solid choice for an A&P 1 teacher. She clearly related the confusing information into real world examples which was very helpful. She offers opportunities for extra credit and as long as you put in the work she will make sure you pass. The tests are extremely complex, but attend the lectures/study you will do fine.
You have to show up to class to pass. She talks about things that aren't on the slides but are on the test. Tests are often difficult because a lot of random terminology is on it. However, she does not give busy work and allows you to leave when you finish the work for the day.
She is TERRRRRRIBLE. She doesn't explain things well, anything she tells you won't be on the tests, and when you ask her about something she pretty much has no idea what she is talking about. Terrible terrible terrible teacher. She's also got quite the attitude too. Take Durham instead!!!
She is a wonderful teacher not only does she make time before class to help you with lecture materials she also will help you study lab materials. GO TO CLASS ,STUDY!!!!! She gives you everything that is going to be on the test in Lecture. I plan on taking her next semester for 122. She explains a&p in a way that the common person would understand.
Jen is wonderful!! I plan on taking her again for 122 next semester. If you don't come to class and takes notes you will NOT pass. She is available before every class to go over material. Her tests are pretty straight forward if you pay attention. She explains material using terms we all can understand. Oh and her drawings are to die for!!! :)
Jennifer is by far the best teacher ive ever had at LCCC. Her exams are fair and reasonable if you show up to class Her exams are off of the lecture notes. Attendace is mandatory. she tries to keep her lectures interesting. She somewhat grades tough but once you know how she grades and everything you will do more than fine. You just need to study.
Jen is an okay teacher. Her test criteria is often far stretched from her lectures. With that being said, tests are difficult to study for because of it. She does give extra credit and grades homework pretty fairly. This class will take up a majority of your time.
I actually took her summer class at BGSU Firelands and am a LCCC nursing student here at Firelands. This is by far the worst teacher I have had. She is such an unfair grader and a lot of what is on the tests are NOT covered in her lecture notes. You never know what to expect on the test and it is VERY hard to study for.
You must go to her class, recording the lecture helps a lot, you have to study. The hardest part about her class is that the lecture done in a way that is very undertandable but she words her tests in a very different way and this can be difficult at times. If she tells you something will be on the test than it will be, there is extra credit.
Firstly, her grading criteria as far as her little case studies and her essay questions on her exams is completely vague. Secondly, she is obsessed with exams. You'll go to two lectures and she'll test you on them. Don't miss a single lecture because there goes your grade. Lastly, she has an attitude, so it doesn't help the above mentioned.
The worst professor I've ever had in my life. As soon as I walked in I knew that this class would be terrible. Her powerpoints make no sense, her tests are incredibly hard, even if you study, and she is not a nice person. On the other hand, my lab teacher was amazing. That was the only thing that kept me from dropping the class.
If you do not show up, put the work and effort in you will not pass. I recorded every single lecture which I am so thankful for since she moves quickly because there is A LOT to cover in a short amount of time. Words things differently on exams than in class sometimes. Work hard and it will pay off. Amazing instructor!
I loved her, she was a wonderful professor. She was very helpful, answered any questions you had, had a very good response rate on emails. She was very caring when I told her my family circumstances at the time. I would most definitely take another class with her.
She was the best teacher I have ever had. She truly cares about how you grasp the material and will work with you so you can do well in the class.
all off lecture, u have to pay attention and study every day. if ur on top of things you will know what u need to. Not as hard as other students say u just need a lot of time to study. take advantage of her study groups! wouldve failed 1 test if it werent for that and ended up getting 100% bc of info she went over. learned so much cool useful info
i showed up to every class and took pretty good notes. i was very surprised by my final grade
Great lectures & creates easy drawing breaking things down. You'll think you love her UNTIL exams. Completely different & more extensive than taught. All exams are like this & you're never sure what tricks will be on the exam especially her essay portion. I am a hard working student, who gets A/Bs but this was an extremely unfair class. Never again
Most unfair testing teacher I have ever come across in my entire academia. Unfortunately everything is online because of pandemic. Which is okay. But the tests give you ABSOLUTELY not enough time to complete them. Wording is confusing. 10+ multiple choice answers, many short answer, confusing and convoluting match questions. Few students even pass.
Tests give you ABSOLUTELY not enough time to complete them. Wording is confusing. 10+ multiple choice answers, essay question. Doesn't not give study guide or review, MUST study everything, Which for the summer session, online is completely insane! Final is going to be comprehensive.I will probably fail this class. Have High B's in other classes
Worst professor Ive ever taken. Her tests are EXTREMELY difficult and theres not enough time to complete them at all. Tons of short answers and way too extensive for what she gives you to study. Did not receive one message from her about the class at all and has a terrible attitude. Sets you up for failure!! Lab professor was great tho.
Everything was fine except exams. They were incredibly difficult and unfair. Everything was worded tricky, and the material given to us was NOT enough to prepare us. With only 50 minutes, I have NEVER finished one. No communication. The average on every exam is an F, and she never changed anything or said a word.
The worst. Exams are weighted heavily, and she doesnt give enough time to complete them. I studied. I made and used extensive flash cards. I highlighted the book. I used Post-Its. I studied very hard. The exams were very difficult and she is very tough grading. Look out. Take this course with another professor by all means!!
I BARELY passed this course. I guarantee I would have gotten a better grade if I had more time on the exams. She words her lectures very differently than the exams. Very snippy when I emailed her. Didnt give us a chance to look over our exams to see what we missed, so studying for the final was hard. Average on exams were an F. idk how I passed.
I studied for hours each week, reading every word in the book, making stacks of flash cards, taking notes from every lecture. When I would go to take the test, it was like a test for a different class! I never had any idea where the test questions came from and never had enough time to take them. Test averages were an F every week! So, so bad.
I'm an A Student, 98%-105% in all my other classes. Have an A in the class outside of exams, but that doesn't matter because everything rides on the exams, which you will fail. Struggling hard to get a C in this class although I know the material well. Have never finished an exam from the ridiculous time restraints and ambiguous questions. Beware.
I was in the hospital for a week and she was very little help when it came to helping me get caught up. She refused to open up any missing assignment's for lab. She does nothing to help and when I get something right, she accusing me of cheating. I tried to withdrawl from the class but my high school didn't get back to me in a timely fashion
Never in my whole academic career have I been failing a class until now. Time limits on exams are ridiculous for the amount of questions. Not friendly or willing to help what so ever. Horrible course overall.
This class has been the hardest thing, and Ive been getting As and Bs my whole life. The class is heavily exam based, meaning the smaller assignments dont even effect your grade at all. She also told me basically that I should have waited to take the class, Im going to fail, and will be a bad nurse. She doesnt fix tests when shes wrong.
I have been a student that studies, works hard, earns As and Bs in all of my advanced courses and all of my other college courses, and have even received at least one award a year based on academics since 4th grade. However, this professor has proven time again that her standards are impossible to achieve and reaching out to her is futile.
I've never had such a miserable class--it actually had me considering dropping out of school or changing my major. Luckily I spoke to other students and realized that this teacher is just awful and not indicative of what life will be like in this field. WORST school experience I've ever had. Everyone is failing this class.
This is the first class I will ever fail. Ever. Normally A's. And my work would be paying for it otherwise! This teacher is an absolute joke. Book is useless, she has simplified lectures she supposedly pulls the answers from, but then makes up absurd questions on the exams. I've never even finished an exam. As if 2020 hasn't been bad enough...
I honestly don't have to words to describe this professor. I'm a straight A student who can't even get a C in this class. This teacher has set our whole class up to fail. No zoom meetings to actually talk about lessons and when I have questions I email her and she doesn't even answer. This class and this professor is a joke. I Wish I could rate a 0
Claims that the exam questions were all from her video lectures, which was not true. She is unreliable and does not respond to emails regarding her student's concerns. She does not offer extra credit, and increased the number of exam questions and decreased the amount of time to take the exams. Multiple extended response questions with little time.
I'm typically an A/B student but have struggled to keep my grade at a high C. I have gotten As in lab, every assignment, and spent hours studying but fall extremely short on the exams. My class average on every exam is an F and those exams fail to accurately reflect to information given to us in lectures. The professor has said nothing.
Test questions are not based on homework, lectures are incredibly lengthy and she goes off topic more than anything.
worst professor ever. will appear nice at first. has no care for her students feelings. tests have ridiculous time constraints, and thinks only they are correct. never responds to emails, and everything is your fault even random zero on tests. tests are nothing to do with the exams. seriously the worst teacher ever. not just online.
not very through when teaching. asks questions on exam/tests that were not in the lecture or the homework. overall not a very good teacher
The hardest and most disappointing class for me. I put in the work plus some and my grade is on the edge of failing. Claims to take all her test questions from the power points but are not easily answered from her lectures/power points. Not enough time to complete tests/answer absurd questions. No study guides available or extra credit offered.
Professor never really responds to messages. Second time taking class and my vids wouldn't reset so she made me email someone to reset them and left my first 6 or so vids as 0's. Tests are impossible to finish on time and questions are completely ridiculous. The hw and vids seem to barely help on the test itself.
Overall her class is hard but mainly because her style of questions and time given for exams are insane. Her exams are supposed to be a reflection of her lectures and they arent. Failing seems to be the average for most of her exams.
I would not recommend this professor to anyone. My class had roughly 18 people in it and by the end of the course 14 of those students dropped. I had a high grade average, A's on all homework and the course Lab and I still bombed every test despite studying the entire week. Most of the test questions had little to do what was covered in class.
Jennifer is not a good professor at all, she assigns tons of homework and notes, but never bases her tests off of anything weve learned. Gives very little time to answer and absurd amount of questions. Very unfair. Doesnt reply back in a timely fashion. If something is incorrect on her part she blames it on you TERRIBLE never take this class
If I had the chance to retake this class, I would all day, but if I had to have the same professor, never again. I needed this class to graduate with my associates degree and i was forced to withdrawal because nothing she talked about were on exams. I did almost every single homework assignment and still failed every single test. absolutely awful
There would be questions regarding material that was never covered in lecture or in the textbook. Some of the oddest choices for test questions. Provides little to no help when needed. Each week one or multiple students dropped even students doing well cause of how stressful it was. No resources to prep for tests. Save yourself the stress and don't
Teacher isn't specific about what's on exams. Nobody passes, yet she's not the issue. Talks about irrelevant things in lecture videos. Moves too fast on important topics. Doesn't explain things well if you don't understand. Doesn't communicate unless she's spoken too. Absolutely horrible teacher.
Exams are based completely off of lectures. You will need to know every single thing she said, from every single lecture, even things you think are just little side notes. Every exam is proctored so you cannot use notes. You must try to remember EVERY SINGLE THING SHE SAID IN THE LECTURE. That is the only way to pass the class.
This was a very hard course! You absolutely need to be present in class and never miss if you want to succeed. Textbooks are only used for homework. She uses power point slides for all of her lectures, which you MUST take good notes from in order to be successful. After the first exam I knew what to expect. I enjoyed having her as a teacher!
I had her for online lecture Anatomy and Physiology I. Video lectures were extremely lengthy, took hours to take notes as she spoke way too fast. As for her tests, FORGET IT! The tests did not coincide with the lectures, we had to take the tests on video, too many difficult questions & not enough time! Never again! Like she wanted you to fail!
I have NEVER had such a terrible experience with a professor. A tough grader is the biggest understatement. SO lecture heavy and the tests do not coincide with the exams. She DOES NOT curve even if everyone fails. My class started out with 14 and now there are 5 of us...DO NOT TAKE WITH HER
This class is not one to be taken with Jennifer. She tells students that her tests are based off of her power points, so we all study the power points and majority of the class still fail the exams. I do not recommend taking this class with her. Our class started with 15 students and they are now down to 2 or 3 students. The rest of us dropped.
When asked for help got snarky replies. A very tough grader. Somehow I got a D on the final project but when I looked at the grading criteria I covered everything. She also gave me a 3/5 on most of my discussion post as well when all questions were answered in depth. Even in opinion-based discussions, I did not receive a good grade. Would not take
