Really nice and wicked easy. Only 3 hw assignments all year and she gives u the website to do it. Everyclass is overheads and lectures but its still interesting.

Great teacher, very easy, but you learn a fair amount. Much better then most of the Constitution and History courses offered for the same GER. At least with this teacher. She makes things so clear and is willing to talk after class and stuff.

She's extremely nice and laid back. Only a few simple homework assignments for the entire course. No final exam and 4 exams in total. Tests aren't too bad just make sure you read the book to cover anything you missed from her lectures, which unfortunately are pretty boring.

Class was fun, subject was presented very well. Go to class!!! Attendence is totally worth it. All the tests were straight from the outlines. She was a great teacher, and FYI, I bet she's a democrat! I'll let that slide though... she was a good teacher.

She knows that it's a boring subject for anyone who is not a poli sci major, so she trys to make it interesting for the rest of us. Make sure you go to class, quizzes are on notes from class.

This was one of the best classes EVER. Shes an awesome teacher. She actually learns who each student is, and is fun to talk to. Has a good sense of humor and makes the subject make sense rather than just a bunch of unimportant facts. Def take her if you get the chance. She's GREAT!

Lots of note taking, four 50 multiple choice question tests, your lowest test grade is dropped and she gives lots of extra credit som of which is through attendance and some is through quizes on blackboard. Very clear about what will be on the tests, she gives a review sheet for each one. She's helpful, and the class is good, fun and interesting.

She is a great professor...she tells u exactly what is on the test so if u take good notes its an easy A. The class is pretty interesting too cuz you talk about how crazy some laws and**** can be...i highly suggest taking her fo real fo real

There's no reason not to get an A. You get 6 points added to final avg just for showing up every day (5 for 1 abscence, etc). She scales the quizzes-4pts usually. They're 50Q MC. She gives a review sheet with everything thats on the exam. Take good notes, read the chapters, an easy A. Lowest exam dropped. I could've failed two exams and had an A.

as long as you study fairly well for her exams and go to class you'll do well, she gives amazing notes and is just a really nice professor to begin with. she gives extra credit on every test and uses powerpoints with her lectures. take her even if you don't like political science, she'll make it easy for you.

I love this class. She is very nice, and knows how to teach. Her notes are straight foward, with no fluff. If something she's saying is not going to be on the test, she says so. Bonus questions on every test. I didn't do to well, but I blame myself and not her. Go to class, take notes, and study! I highly reccomend her class.

Good teacher. The rest of the reviews say it, extra credit for attendance, extra credit for exams, extra credit city. You still need to try though, even with all the extra credit the most your going to rase each test score is 5pts and at the end of the semester POSSIBLY add 6-10 points to your final average.

she knows about this website and is determined to change her way of teaching from what students have said.. however, she's still really easy and as long as you do the work in the course you'll be fine. just make sure you know she isn't a push over! great professor, highly reccommended!

Dr. Mogg is a great teacher. She really cares about her students doing well. She makes extra office hours and is super helpful!! Basically the class is read and write papers. I had Mogg for my first year Harry Potter Seminar, it was the hardest class I have taken but she taught me the most. I thought I would end up with a C in the class but I got an A. if you set up meetings with her and go over your papers with her you will understand and it helps your grade its a class worth taking and extra credit if you attend class

Hard class, but makes it fun. Grades on improvement, gives 5 points on the entire grade just for missing 1 or no classes! Grading can be somewhat excessive, the rewrite chance netted me the same grade, even though I made the changes she recommended. I learned more in this class more than any other, but the courseload was HUGE!

I love Dr. Mogg!!!She is a great prof and you learn a lot from her. Her class is hard only if you don't follow what she says. Most helpful prof I've seen.Write down what she says in class the two days before the essay is due and you'll know exactly what to write! GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS! She grades hard, but she tells you that outright. Overall, the class is difficult, but she makes Aristotle make more sense than he normally does. If you go to her extended office hours she really helps the most there, because its one on one and she reads your paper. I personally like her a lot.

Professor Mogg is amazing! Yes she's a tough teacher but she tells you straight out how she grades. As long as you take the time to do the work, you're golden. Also, go to class EVERY DAY! The reading is mandatory and you need to understand how to write and analytical essay, but as long as you put in the effort, you will pass. This lady is brilliant, all of the content is her own creation so she understands it through and through. If you're atrue Harry Potter fan and you want to learn new ways to interpret the books, TAKE THIS CLASS!

So nice to share a love of Harry Potter and Aristotle with such a nice professor. It's not an easy A. You can't just watch the movies and slide by, but if you do the readings and take notes in class you'll be fine. She helps improve your writing a lot and is so approachable for extra help.

One of the best teachers I've ever had. Extremely funny, nice, and understanding. Subject can be a little difficult at first, but once she's gone over it it's crystal clear. She is very understanding and super intelligent. We got 6 excused absences, and received extra credit for not missing class. I recommend her very very much.

Dr. Mogg was a really good teacher. She is a total nerd and really passionate about Harry Potter. She gave good feedback and was willing to help with all papers. My only complaint was that she gave group online assignments and sometime people wouldn't post on time which was annoying but overall she was a really good teacher.

I took Dr Mogg's marvel class and loved it. You write 4-5 essays in the semester based on the Marvel movies and what you learn from Aristotle/Mill. She takes attendance and if you have 0-1 absences, 5 points are added to your final grade. I did really well on her essays but people in my class got 60's and didn't know why. ill be taking her again.

She was an awesome philosophy teacher and did a good job at explaining the material. Although she was a very tough grader (mainly for essays). As long as you do all the online assignments and readings you should easily be able to pass!

Dr. Mogg is an overall difficult teacher, but the course I took was writing intensive. If you're looking for an easy A do not take her class, and I'm sure my time would have been better if it weren't at 8am on MWF. I took Ethics of Harry Potter, and it is overall fun and I recommend.

I took the Ethics of Harry Potter class. I thought this would be an easy-a HOWEVER, please remember that this is a class based on Aristotle's Philosophy! many people struggled because of this. Despite that, I really loved how Dr. Mogg taught and explained everything. the grading for the essays is ridiculously difficult so be prepared.

Three papers and a final paper. No midterm or final exam. You must have a copy of the assigned books. No tests or quizzes. Attendance is mandatory. If you're taking her Harry Potter/ Marvel/ Hunger Games class, you should watch the movies or knows the story. You'll watch them in class, but knowing about the characters will help the papers a lot.

Professor Mogg is what I consider the ideal professor. Many of the reviews mention she is a tough grader. This is true, BUT, she gives you the opportunity to submit an essay outline to her, which she gives TONS of feedback on! Also, if you miss 0-5 classes, you get 1-5 points added to your final grade. She is an amazing professor and very helpful!

Dr. Mogg is an amazing professor. She understands what shes teaching and will gladly help in anyway that she can. I loved her Marvel class & I would absolutely take her class again. The work load is normal & as long as you pay attention and do the work, youll easily pass. Explains lessons very clearly & an overall amazing professor.

Professor Mogg takes your progression in writing into consideration which I found extremely helpful. Just remember to read what's assigned and put the Aristotle chapters into your own words through notes. Also, attend lectures, it's worth it.

I really enjoyed being in Dr. Mogg's class. It is one I really wish I was able to experience in person and in a classroom. This is a writing intensive course. I do not recommend this class if you do not like to write. Kind of a tough grader. Dr. Mogg is very intelligent and creative. I took her Marvel class and she made Aristotle very interesting.

Professor Mogg is by far the best professor I have taken a class with she is so caring and makes the subject matter super interesting. In her first year seminar the allows you to rewrite all of your essays for a better grade using the feedback she gives you. I am taking another class with her next semester, take her if you can!

This is my second time taking a class with professor Mogg and she is so sweet and cares a lot about her students. She assigns a lot of reading and papers but her lectures assist all of it so they're not too difficult and she gives great feedback for improvement.

Fun class since we got to watch some Marvel movies. You need to buy textbook since you use it for everything. Prepare for lots of reading, she gives great feedback on papers I recommend.

Great professor for Philosophy. She is a bit lecture-heavy but tends to wind it down with a lot of real-life stories or examples that play into Aristotle. During the Fall semester of 2021, she had a lot of family stuff going on and had to cancel a class a couple of times, but she still was available for help. Assignments and essays are good as well

Mogg is super funny and kind, her classes are super enjoyable, some of the grading criteria is a bit unclear but she holds conferences and is helpful then. She does very well at taking confusing passages and putting them into modern day scenarios. Philosophy is super difficult for me but she is super helpful and is good at responding to any emails.

Good lectures, just make sure to do the reading beforehand as both are necessary to get the material. She gets off topic at times but it's generally a fun and welcoming environment. If you're not a writer you might struggle with this class as it's essay-heavy. But hey, you get to write essays about the MCU, so it's pretty good.

She is a very funny and kind professor, ask her about her cats!! She's very passionate about what she does and sometimes rambles during class if you allow her too, but I think its what makes her fun. Get ready to write and read.

Dr. Mogg is awesome super personable. I plan on taking her Y2 seminar. The OLA grading is on completion but other grading is unclear. Best advice...DO ALL YOUR READINGS. I like how her textbook is inexpensive so no excuse not to read it. She's very reachable out of class. She breaks down Aristotle very well. I highly recommend as a freshman.

Dr. Mogg is an AMAZING professor!! She is funny during lectures, remembers your name if you talk after class, and her essays are straightforward. Her grading is lenient. Even if you don't know much about Marvel beforehand, the class is definitely doable. She is aware about your other classes' workloads too. WOULD RECOMMEND TAKING IF POSSIBLE!
