Jenny is an awesome teacher. There is absolutely nothing I can think of that is bad. She makes me want to go to class to learn about bio-psychology. Usually this subject would be really difficult for me, but she makes it so clear and she uses silly analogies all the time. Her bubbly personality makes this 9am class easy to deal with. TAKE HER!!!
She is awesome! She makes the class interesting and it makes me look forward to attend class and she makes the subject much easier to understand with her wonderful lectures. I highly recommend her. Attending class is very important for this subject since bio psychology can be a hard subject to learn.
AMAZING professor. Knows how to explain material and lets you use notecard on exams.
Professor Moses is an amazing teacher. Her main goal is to help you, the student, understand the material. Very upbeat and positive. Always attempts to relate the material to Real Life examples. Quizzes are easy, you can use note cards on exams. Provides extra credit. Overall, excellent professor.
We all have to take a critical thinking class and this is the class to take and with Jenny. She is absolutely clear on what she expects of you and her assignments are not hard at all. I mean you have to work for your grade but we all know that. I learned a big deal and she makes her lectures interesting. Take her and do your work!
BEST professor that I've had at Pierce. Her positive attitude made me look forward to her class every week. She was crystal clear in all of her lectures and she made them very interesting. You get to use index cards on tests which really help, and the online quizes and Hw aren't hard at all if you just read the material and give your best answer
First day of class the atmosphere of class is comfortable, Prof Jenny is a good professor overall, I recommend you take this class. Consist of 11 online quizzes which you can take as many times to get 100%,5 writing assignment,5 HW writing assignments, 3 chapter tests and the Final. There is also extra credit which helps. Overall best Psych66 prof.
Psych 2 (Bio) is a tough subject. Tons of difficult info to wade through and absorb. Professor Moses made the subject appealing and easier to understand. Her lectures fly by and she's funny. Follow her instructions on course work and extra credit; take notes and don't miss her reviews prior to a test. Her classes are the best and so is she.
Professor Moses is a whiz. She's funny, passionate, and great at what she does. Her lectures fly by and she maintains your interest. Psych Biology is a hard subject with scads of mind boggling information but she simplifies it and makes it fun. She is the best.
Professor Moses is among the best professors at pierce. She is knowledgeable and helps you succeed in the class. The class is not hard, yet she manages to teach a lot. I loved her class and would take any other class she teaches.
Great professor. She will answer any questions and explains concepts very well. There are 3 exams and the final(she lets you bring a index card with notes),weekly online quizzes(5 q's, very easy), and written assignments on moodle (no more than a paragraph). Pay attention to her lectures(posted on moodle) and you'll get an A!
Jenny is probably the best professor I've ever had. She is so enthusiastic about what she does, and she is crystal clear in her lectures which is an essential factor in a class as dense and heavy as this. She makes psychology interesting and makes you want to come to class everyday. I would highly recommend her. She is a phenomenal professor!
She is one of the greatest, nicest, professors I have ever met. even though psych 2 is so hard specially for me not being native English speaker. she explains everything if you ask she never hesitates to help the students to success.she is so helpful. Just attend class and study only notes and take notes before each exam.take her she is the best!!!
prof.jenny is amazing she has powerpoints for every lecture and posts them on moodle, for the exams u can use an index card and you do 11 online quizzes unlimited tries and she loves to teach and gets really excited when you learn the material well i loved taking her class because she made me love stats <3
An amazing teacher no book needed
I just LOVE her. Professor Moses is one of the best professors for stats 1. I took her this summer and got an A. Her exams are straight forward (not tricky at all). She is very funny and makes the environment in the class always positive. I would definitely recommend you to take her.
She is a fantastic teacher but you are taking her class need a lot hours to study because the material will get harder and harder each test 5 labs,3 test one final, quizzes online .recommend to you go to her office hours.
I love Jenny she is an amazing teacher. I got an A in her class and I didn't use the book at all. She is easy but also you learn a lot in her class. She tries to help you as much as possible. She gives extra credit and is just overall perfect. I love Jenny's classes !!! Would take every class I need with her if possible.
Professor Moses is awesome!! Of course, if you don't like studying, don't even take her. But she's nice, she is clear, her tests are not tricky. The material is hard, but she makes it fun, and if you don't understand still, she helps you. Office hours are highly recommended!!! Assignments are nice and extra credit helps a lot! Had her honors class!
Jennifer is an amazing professor. Everything that I learned in her class has been extremely helpful and I remember so much of the stuff she taught me. She is funny and invested in the class. She is intelligent and dedicated. Great professor!!
Jenny's an awesome teacher but you really have to pay deep attention in class because she speaks really quickly. Record the lectures & print out the power points & tutoring + study groups are life savers. ALWAYS show up class before the test thats review day. Listen carefully to how she tells you what will be on the test. The class is hard though.
One of the best professors I've had at Pierce. She's enthusiastic, engaging, and wonderfully sarcastic. While this class had its challenges, she explained everything in a way that made it very easy to grasp, and she is always willing to help students who need it. She loves her job and she is great at it.
Dr Jenny is a great professor. She is very helpful. Her class doesn't boring and her lectures are awesome. She gives 11 online quizzes from book and three exams and one final exam. Totally easy if you take a good note from her class and attend to her class. For exam you can bring one note card. I recommend her .
One of the best instructors I have had. Professor Moses explains the material in a way that makes the course exciting and she makes sure you understand her lectures. The class is hard, but she presents it in a way that you will want to learn, and you can't wait for the next class. But you must be in class and take good notes. Excellent..
Great lectures, really clear, and is always ready to answer questions. The tests aren't too bad, you're allowed one 5x3 notecard which makes them pretty easy. Fair grader. Lots of online assignments and quizzes.
Dr. Jenny was great! She had great examples for everything. They were very clear. Don't forget to do the online quizzes, they're worth a good part of your grade. The online written assignments are also worth a few points so make sure you do those too. She let's you know what to focus on for the quiz a so study that and everything on the PowerPoint!
Dr Jenny is a great professor. Sure, you are expected to quite a lot of work, but its a great way to memorize the material better. Her exams are always easy because she tells exactly what you will be tested on during the review day. Attendance is non-mandatory, however she gives surprise quizzes. Will take her again!
Professor Moses is so boring! I took her for psychology 66 and it is so hard to focus in her class. She talks really fast and pretty much just lectures the entire class with power points. I wish she made the class more exciting:( she's too boring and doesn't catch my attention when she teaches
Awesome professor. Great, bubbly personality. Makes learning interesting. She gives great examples that make the material easy to remember. Would definitely take her again.
Professor moses was an amazing psych professor. Her lectures were long but she makes sure you understand all the terms and information told. She lets you have index cards to put notes on for her exams. Make sure you print out her powerpoint bc they are helpful, she adds detail to those. She's sweet and generous and cares that you pass
Very nice and bubbly professor. She provides her powerpoints online so print them out and take notes and you'll pass her class. The final is half cumulative, half new material. The cumulative part is from the tests you've already taken so go to office hours & review your old tests. She lets you use a flashcard on the test, & reviews the day before
Good prof.
I absolutely hate math of all sorts. Passing this class is easy. However She does not hand you a grade. she definately makes you work and earn what you get. ... But if you follow directions and actually put fourth effort, failure shouldn't be an option ... Oo yes and she's a professor that ACTUALLY cares. Go figure
I love Dr. Jenny!! Dr. Jenny is an amazing lecturer. She provides you with good real life examples. Use her office hours!! 12 quizzes online, 3 exams and a cumulative final which isn't hard! She lets you bring a note card to exam day which Is really helpful! She is great with responding to emails as well.
Dr. Jenny is one of the best professors I've ever had. She's very clear with what she expects, the class has a lot of material, she can go kind of fast but she's very sweet and loves questions. Recording her lectures is a good idea, there are some videos on youtube too! She's really great, and I would definitely take her again.
Professor Moses is not a good professor, She is boring and unclear of her criteria. She is a little odd and makes uneducated claims. She based her lectures on her feelings. She kind of talks off topic a lot. I wouldn't recommend her if you want to learn.
She is anything but boring! Who ever says she's boring is most likely not paying attention or not familiar with college classes. She is an amazing teacher who explains very thoroughly and carefully. She keeps the class interesting with her upbeat character and makes the subject understandable.
Her lectures are great you can tell she really loves what she is teaching. However since she gets so excited, she goes through lecture slides way too fast and speaks very very fast. Also she doesn't seem to have too much patience when it comes to students asking questions.
Dr. Jenny is a great professor. She answers questions quickly and is engaged. There is a lot of reading but it is so important in order to understand the subject matter. Her lectures clarify the readings and put it in to perspective. Her test are not super difficult as long as you have read the material and watched her lectures.
Professor Moses is O.K. at best, excluding that the final exam grade average was 55/100 for STATS online. She gives extra credit, but is VERY PICKY on questions. If it's not done her way or if you don't show all your steps, you get NO CREDIT WHATSOEVER. It's understandable, but seriously? At least half the class was had a C or lower. That's bad.
Good Professor. Her syllabus states everything you need. Book isn't really required, but its good to have for quizzes. Quizzes can be taken any number of times. And exams are lecture based so no need for the book on those. One research paper at the end that is really easy. And if you do all the quizzes you get points. And final replaces lowest exam
Dr. Jenny is one of the most phenomenal professors I have ever had! I had her for psych 66 online, and I have learned more than I have in any of my other classes- and psych isn't even my major! Take her if you ever get the chance to!
Dr. Moses cares about you; however, she WILL NOT baby you. This means the effort you put into this class will show in your overall grade. You need to work hard and UNDERSTAND THE MATERIAL. (Her lectures are also on youtube, which saved my grade when I missed). Her powerpoints are also online. I love her and I love her class. Very energetic as well!
She is an amazing professor!!! A lot of these reviews are so harsh. She puts lecture slides on canvas so you can print out and bring to class to take notes which is really helpful. Also u can bring a notecard to ALL tests for extra help. There was 1 paper which wasn't too bad. She gives in class assignments randomly, so go to class.
I really liked Dr. Jenny, I took her critical thinking online class & I actually really liked it & felt like I learned a lot. She has her lectures on youtube (that you are required to watch) & even though it was a pain to have to sit through 2 hour long youtube videos, I still enjoyed them. She's very thorough & passionate, I would take her again.
She is probably the least approachable professor I have ever taken. She is very condescending and makes you feel stupid whenever you ask for clarification during office hours. She does not care about her students and always says she's "too busy" . SAVE YOURSELF AND AVOID TAKING HER!
TERRIBLE PROFESSOR! she is absolutely the worst professor I have taken at PC. She does not help when you go into office hours, which are also very limited. Though she is very passionate about stats which is actually a good thing but not to those who are taking an intro level class
Professor Moses is a very bizarre individual but I kind of like it. She gets really excited about teaching but she goes a bit too fast. I watched her youtube videos to keep up with the class, otherwise I would've failed miserably. Please don't buy the book, it's not necessary at all. Borrow it from the library if you think you need it.
This professor makes the class very hard. Most students are not that good in Math and she should slow down and teach students. I am a media art student and I am not that good in Math. Her Final is 30% of the class. That is CRAZY!!! She needs to care about her students, encourage and support them.
I took psych66 with Dr. Jenny online. She clearly outlines what tasks you must do and when. If you do all the reading, watch the lectures, and take good notes you should do well. There is a lot of reading and lectures in a compressed time if you take it during a short semester, so be ready to work. Luckily the lectures and material are fun!
Her syllabus video is one hour. All lectures are more than an hour. Lectures are boring. When you watch, you feel you understand the content then she grades you poorly. Condescending. Unapproachable. Unreasonable. You can move at your own pace. Extra credit offered but based on how she grades doesn't seem very helpful. It's her way or no way.
RECORD HER LECTURES - if you want to pass class. She gives you everything to get an A, but you HAVE to work. You get all the lecture slides ahead of time, you can use a notecard on tests & she explains anything in office hrs. Tests are ALL lecture based (not book) & she gives pop quizzes-DON'T miss ONE class. She IS condescending, but ignore it.
Taking stat online was the biggest mistake of my life. Overall it was a hard class, and I passed with a solid C, but she curves the grade a bit (I think for the Internet classes only). 4 hour lectures, 2 hour of reading, and 1 hour on homework is a lot when you have 15 units already. Good teacher, and explains everything very well.
Lectures mandatory to watch & are too long, goes off on too many tangents. Test questions are irrelevant to the study guide & will more often than not, ask questions on super specific stuff. Be careful with how she grades your activity forum, takes off points based on her log saying if you accessed certain links, etc. My suggestion, don't take her.
I took 2 online classes, i have an A in POLI SCI & a low C in this.. not sure if i'll pass.. I hated her lectures, her lecture videos are at least 2 to 3 years old and isn't helpful. She seems like an interesting professor but you are honestly better off taking it in person than online. the exams are just ridiculous, i went over the study guides.
Tests have to be typed out answers and statistics includes mathematical equations which took forever to write out, some multiple choice. You HAVE TO know your stuff. I found the whole material confusing and she was not good at teaching it. I passed because of the extra credit and because I tried to memorize things. It was tough.
I took the online class and did pretty well. The online class IS hard, but if you read the textbook, study, and visit office hours you should be fine.
Truly a smart individual but does not like to hear student's questions, often cutting people off before they can get their thought out. Office hours won't help much as she can be very condescending and rude. She's very energetic but goes way too fast for an introductory course. Would not recommend, take someone else if you can
Shes handsdown one of the smartest individuals alive, but not really the kindest professor. Online class is extremely heavy material, she grades by the books and doesnt give second chances. She shouldnt be in psychology since she cant be flexible or understanding. Endless videos to watch,no much sense on her examples, and monitored exams,be ready.
Professor Moses is amazing! She made Stats 1 such an enjoyable class. This was online, I recommend to anyone who is familiar with Online. Her lectures (video) were interesting and informative. She provides power points so you can print out and write your own notes. Extra Credit! The final is cumulative, but she gives a study guide.
Prof. Moses is the best! I hate math and she made Stats fun and interesting. Her lectures (video) were clear, straight to the point, and thorough, BUT you have to made sure you watch them and take notes. This class took up a lot of time so please keep that in mind before you commit to it.
Dr. Moses conducted a great class!! I hadn't been in school for over a decade and this class was pretty straight forward and easy to follow. You MUST read, do the forum participation's and do well on your Exams to get a good grade. Extra credit is offered taking all quizzes in the class. Responses are quick and she wants her students to do well!
I took this class as an honors course and the grading criteria was very clear. Her lectures are great. Tests are based off of lectures. The tests were not easy but always fair and pertained to what she talked about in class. she gave us many chances to succeed. she is very nice and funny and will help during office hours
I took both critical thinking and stats over winter and it was horrible for stats. Although it was only 3 units, she made it seem like 5. Not even my 5 unit algebra class was this bad, i get it was winter but geez, critical thinking had less amount of work towards the end than stats did. videos are way too long and time consuming.
Dr. Moses is a REALLY good prof. Her lectures are clear, concise, interesting and funny. She knows her stuff. She makes it really clear what is expected and prepares you for exams. It's not the easiest subject and you have to do the work - attend class, pay attention and review notes, but she does her job well and if you do yours you'll do well.
Statistic is a very hard subject in general, but this class was just beyond frustrating at times. Anytime I would email her with questions, I was either referred back to the 2hr videos she makes or the syllabus. Her quizzes are very easy if you really try but the exams are really tricky. The only good about this class is the final is cumulative.
Nice, respectful, full of life and optimism. Funny. Works very hard to explain her lectures but gives killer exams. Loves trick questions. Lab assignements are a pain and complete waste of time ( take about 6-8 hours to complete, 4 x in a semester). Overall, hard class but she is a good teacher. I did not buy a textbook and received high B.
I took this class online and it was hard for me, however prof moses is always available. She answered emails promptly and cares about her students passing. She is very smart and knows how to connect the class to everyday life which is amazing if youre not good with math. You have to work hard but if you put in effort, she knows. TAKE HER !!!
She has very organized lectures and accompanying notes which made class feel very easy even though she taught hard subjects. Had a loud voice, but it actually woke me up in the mornings. Only bad thing is that she sometimes interrupts students asking questions. Overall pretty good teacher though.
Assignments were super easy but the exams were super difficult. She uploads videos of herself lecturing, very boring and useless to watch because the exams are totally different from what she covers in her lectures. You can't PASS the class without doing good on the exams. Exams are monitored by Proctor. I don't recommend her class!
Hard professor but absolutely worth it. At no point would she get frustrated with questions and was always willing to help. Extremely clear on each of the lectures. She does move a bit fast so be prepared to either write fast or print out notes.
professor used proctorio for exams. Alot of assignments, there was atleast one assignemnt every other day. Other than that it was ok
Professor Moses is tough, but she is absolutely worth it. Long, but clear lectures and assignment instructions. Office hours are AMAZING, TAKE ADVANTAGE! Sweet professor, enthusiastic about what she teaches. Exams are stupid hard, but if you maintain about a 75% average on them and get all extra credit, you will get an A. Exams are proctored.
Dr. Jenny is filled with great energy when it comes to teaching. Her youtube videos are helpful, but they can be a bit deceiving.. Just when you think you've got the hang of the material, the exam questions are 3x more difficult than what was shown on the lecture + videos. I would be lying if I said the semester flew by smoothly.
LOVE HER! She was always very enthusiastic about the material, ACTUALLY answered questions, and used fun examples to help you understand. You have 10 labs, but she gives you a format of exactly what it should look like and online videos to help you. You also have online quizzes, but all the answers are easy too find in the textbook. Makes math fun!
Dr. Moses is one of the best teachers I've had . Great energy and clear expectations. Breaks down ideas and makes learning interesting and even fun. Very very very smart and versatile!
I love Dr. Jenny and the way she gave lectures! I felt that she was always willing to answer any questions! She has YouTube channel that I would watch videos 3 or 4 times each and felt really good about exams. Also, she loves trick questions. I think it allows her to see which students understand stats vs those who have mastered it.
Very rude every time you dont do anything the way she wants it to. HaS no compassion for her students going through this pandemic crisis.
This is an EASY class with lots of work. She gives you everything you need to get an A in the class. There's abundant extra credit. She's really accessible (always responds within 24hr), is happy to answer ALL your questions & even encourages you to ask. Theres 1 quiz (unlimited attempts) & 1 lab per wk. 3 exams + final (procotored). She's great.
This was around 3 hours of lecture a week, a lab assignment, and sometimes a quiz and/or forum. However, her lectures are really helpful. Her labs are clear, with examples for each one. Because of the extra credit she offers I got an A in the class when on every exam I got a C. She's really nice and helpful during office hours too!
Good Professor.
Dr. Jenny is great! Her exams are tricky so you really have to understand the subject. Gives chances to get perfect score for lab work as long as you turn it in on time. Her lecture videos are insightful. Study and you will pass with no problem. She give extra credits.
I was really skeptical about taking Dr. Jennys Critical Thinking class based on her low rating but was pleasantly surprised about how easy it actually was! Theres weekly assignments. Textbook is mandatory. Gives study guides that reflect the exams. Lecture videos are heavy but yet again this is a college class. So....
Dr. Moses is a wonderful teacher. If you participate and put in the work, you will benefit greatly from the knowledge you gain and the grade you receive.
Dr. Jenny very much cares about her students learning and the ability to apply what was learned in her class to the real world. Her lectures were very thought provoking and insightful. Critical thinking is a crucial skill to learn. Dr. Jenny does a great job in helping one learn this skill. I look forward to taking other classes with her.
Great teacher and really friendly. Gives great feedback and responds quickly to emails. Grading criteria is straight forward. I took online, during winter so it was a lot of information in a short time. Take good notes on the lectures and study for your exams. Extra credit is embedded into the coursework.
She is very difficult professor. She gives lots of homework. And she doesnt help you . She doesnt even reply to your email. All of the exams are monitored by proctor. I dont recommend her class!!!
I love her class. I was terrified to take statistics, but she made it really easy to understand. Her lectures are really interesting and she gives out really helpful handouts/notes for every lecture. As long as you pay attention to the lectures, take notes, and do the assignments - you'll do well in the class.
Great professor, knows her stuff well and is very clear in her lectures. Was a bit scared of stats but she made it super simple and straightforward. Labs are super easy, and she gives sample labs too which help you know you're doing the right thing. Tests can be a bit daunting at first but get easy once you really know the material.
i went to Pierce before i transferred to Berkeley and DR MOSES IS LEGIT THE BEST PROF IVE EVER HAD! i'm takings stats and coding now and the way she taught concepts make everything so easy to understand. i would be so lost without her. she's incredibly charming as well.
You have to work really hard to do well, and she is available for questions and office hours. Free textbook.
So usually I hate blaming things on teachers but if Im getting As in all my classes except this one, shes the problem. Make sure when she assigns a lab you step aside 3 days in advance to do the lab, that really tanked my grade. Go to her office hours to review past exams for extra credit its an easy way to get your grade up.
I'm warning you now DONT TAKE HER ONLINE COURSES! She has hour-long lectures online where she teaches way too much information in one video; its hard to grasp everything shes trying to teach; in that one sitting, I wouldve rather her have multiple shorter lectures.
Honors. Dr. Jenny is amazing. Powerpoints are accessible but you should attend classes because she explains the material really well. Easy but you gotta pay attention or else you'll be lost. She gives in-class assignments that are just easy points. EC is built into the class. Answers emails fast. She's the best and she wants you to succeed!!
This class is an easy A as long as you show up to class every day and pay attention to the material. This is easy because Moses is very engaging. The class is very test heavy, but all the material is covered in class and in powerpoints posted on Canvas. You would have to actively try to fail to get a bad grade.
Dr. Jenny is awesome! I've taken 2 of her classes and she is an amazing teacher. I enjoyed learning from her. She has great lectures that are very interactive and she makes the topic very clear to understand. I am terrible at math & I got an A in STAT. My mind is still blown. I only wish there were more teachers like this.
- amazing lectures - if you are bad at math, this teacher is great for making sure you comprehend the topics - tests are proctored, but if you do the labs, you will know what to do - fast response times - you do have to read the book for quizzes, although you have unlimited tries
Best honors prof! She's the 4th math prof I've had. I've dropped the others in week one cus they didn't teach in an organized way. Moses is organized in her lectures and has great examples. She lets you make up lab & test points cus she really wants you to learn. She's not a difficult professor, the subject is. She makes learning less stressful.
Terrible, horrible, ridiculous; to sum it all up. I had to withdrawal from class cause I spent so much time trying to figure out her lectures and complete the homework. I literally spent more than 1 one week trying to complete one single hw assignment. There's not much homework but you'll have to watch her lectures over andOver toGetAnUnderstanding
If Teacher Appreciation Day were a thing in college, I would give Dr. Jenny the most beautiful mug and the shiniest pen. Her enthusiasm and dedication are very infectious, and make a somewhat daunting subject like statistics FUN!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Jenny!!! Her classes are lecture heavy and tests are quite difficult, but she teaches AMAZINGLY! Would recommend her to anyone and everyone :D
The lectures are way too long with too much information on them; I really didn't watch them though because of how confusing they would get. Luckily, the labs are given with a sample lab showing you how to solve problems step by step. She also offers a crazy amount of extra credit though & lets students redo the labs to receive 10/10 points!!
Professor Moses was great however, the difference between her honors course and the regular course is that there is more extra credit offered in her regular classes. I wish I had taken the regular course because the extra credit would have helped a lot. There were minimal practice problems and some of the labs were too long.
Although I put up these tags, everything you need to know for the exams are in her lectures and she gives second chances for homework. She is an amazing teacher! She is always there to help out, even when I was panicking over the deadline that already passed a few minutes ago. She is easy to reach out and I relied heavily on study guides.
Ridiculous experience in her online stat101 class. The class has 3 labs a week. I spend HOURS trying to complete 1 assignment just to get it back as a 3/10. She does not allow graphing calc/any calcs. The assignments with math problems must all be TYPED BY HAND. It takes hours and exams are timed hard to complete. Had to get my first W. Don't take.
Professor Moses is a great professor. English is not my first language and I think Professor Moses is very respectful, patient, and kind with me. This was my third tine taking Statistics and her help office hours was the only reason I passed. The class is a lot of work but she will help if go to office hours.
Human Sexuality changed my life. Professor Moses made each class safe and inclusive and was always respectful with students. I learned so much more than I ever thought I would. This class should be required for all students!
Not an easy A but if you do the assignents (a lab and a short quiz a week), you will do great. She gives immediate feedback (like in one day) on the labs and let's you redo them. The labs are basically what is on the test. She gives detailed study guides and is so helpful in office hours. She really cares, but you do gotta put in the work.
Video lectures are long and confusing. There are two hour long lecture lectures(sometimes longer), a short quiz, and a lab assignment due weekly. She does offer make up opportunities and extra credit, but I would not take this class again. Typed answers on exams, and lab assignments. Free e-book for the class.
Dr. Jenny is fantastic! LOVE HER! Easy to get a good grade with lots of ex credit opps. 2-3 lectures per week, most lectures around 1 hour. 1 easy quiz/week, 1 lab/week. Lab examples provided. Exam based on lectures only. Study guide provided for each exam. Office hours ea week if you need help. You are totally set up for success in this class!
The information taught in this course is quantitative vs. qualitative. Between the lectures, the textbook reading, the quizzes, the utterly time consuming data projects and the tests, the information became too much to process and actually learn because the work load was so insane. Bummed because I was genuinely interested in LEARNING the subject.
Met once a week, labs were done in class and the lectures you watch on your own time. She walks you through the labs so make sure to show up to every class. Completed study guides are extra credit and also any labs you turn in early. I loved her class she made it so easy to understand but you HAVE to put in the work for a good grade. TAKE HER CLASS
This course was very difficult for me since I did not take a psychology class before and I struggled but my grade went up since I did well on the last exam before the final exam. However, this class was confusing there were a lot of words I did not know the meaning about which caused feelings of discouragement. Tough grader and feedback didn't help
Dr. Jenny is awesome! The class was easy. The textbook quizzes are open book and the longer exams cover only lecture material. The lectures were always super funny and informative. Take Dr. Jenny!
The class is extremely well taught and explained. I wasn't anticipating enjoying statistics so much. Dr Moses explained everything multiple times, and her slides were clear. There are 2 weekly lectures (approximately 1-1.5 hrs), a 5 Q quiz and a small project. Very doable! The only bummer is that I find her not answering emails well.
This was a great online class. The online lectures were really enjoyable and clear, which was surprising for this topic! She even wears different cute hats, which made me laugh. The quizzes were open book and there were zero surprises on the exams.
Amazing experience! 2 weekly short open-book quizzes a week, 1 longer homework assignment a week to prepare for 4 longer exams. I wouldn't call it an easy A, but totally doable. I was nervous taking this class, but Dr. Jenny was so clear and she recorded all her lectures to watch later, if you needed. Dr. Jenny just goes above and beyond.
she seems really passionate, knowledgeable and bubbly in her lectures. she is very punctual on grading and her grading + late policies are very forgiving and fair in my opinion. the material was a lil hard to understand but she is a great professor to take online.
Dr. Jenny is a rare combination of super smart, caring, and positive! She will make you care about statistics, which I didn't think was possible. You have to put in the time and effort, but if you show up to class and do the assignments, you will get a good grade.
Shes so passionate abt this topic! She does however interrupt people when speaking/asking questions. Gives random partcipation quizzes, but if you do extra credit and do good on tests they wont hurt ur grade if u missed them, i stopped attending class after a while and still got an A, take her!! Shes great!!
An A in this course is manageable but you definitely have to set aside time for this course. It was a bit challenging and lecture heavy. You are given a lot of information, however she does give really good study guides. She is a nice teacher and her lectures are energetic. Not impossible though! I struggled and still received an A.
Professor Moses is one of my favorite professors that I have had, any sort of math or stats course has never been a strong suit of mine but in her class I was able to get a super good grade! She's very passionate about the topic, you just have to make sure to set aside enough time for all the lectures and get assignments done and you'll do great.
She has a unique vocal cadence, but I grew to love it. It's impossible to not get an A, she's so thorough. She will go over your tests and return partial credit for mistakes, ample extra credit, and great office hours. She loves this class and always took time to hear our thoughts and is open to new ideas. You will not be disappointed. Great prof.
Just an amazing experience! Dr. Jenny is so clear and caring. I was hoping to just pass, but I got an A!
This was a great online class. I was scared to Statistics, but Dr. Jenny made is clear and easy to understand. The workload for a four unit class was manageable and I cannot believe how fast she grades and responds. Taker her!
The study guides have similar questions that are on the tests and final, so it's very easy to study. Her lectures are clear, all assignments are straight forward and there are never really any trick questions. She wants students to succeed and takes the time to explain if you have questions. It's easy to pass even if you hate math.
I never imagined that Statistics would be easy or fun, but it actually was! The assignments and exams are incredibly straight forward and the lectures were clear, entertaining, and thorough. Dr. Jenny is enthusiastic about the topic and I feel like I actually learned.
This class was crystal clear and so much easier than I thought it would be! If you need to take a Stats class, take her!
Professor Moses makes statistics engaging and manageable. The class has a good mix of quizzes, homework, and exams, and she provides excellent support through recorded lectures and office hours. unstuck AI was a lifesaver for test prep. Overall, a challenging but rewarding course.
This professor was definitely one of the best professors I have ever taken. She taught very well, and her tests were of a medium level, but helped create a deeper understanding. She gave the best feedback I've ever heard from a professor. Clearly cares about her job, quick responder, and is a very understanding person.
Took Prof Moses for stats in the winter and glad I did so! She is an engaging lecturer also a funny one. Though the long lecture videos may be daunting you can always put the playback speed at 1.5x as most of the time she's going over examples, which is why she is a great teacher! I would take her again!
Dr. Jenny is seriously the most amazing Statistics professor. Her lectures actually teach you the material. She has practice tests that look the SAME as the real test. I think she just changes the numbers. And I actually learned statistics, which I didn't think was possible. If you have to take Stats, take her!
An excellent experience learning Statistics. Dr. Jenny is clear and helpful over email. The lectures are engaging and she breaks down complex topics into everyday terms, which helped me a lot. The class has some quizzes, projects, and exams. You can redo most assignments to improve your grade.
This was a super interesting class and Dr. Jenny was so entertaining and informative in her lectures. Exams are straightforward and based on the lectures. Highly recommend Dr. Jenny! She rocks!
Dr. Jenny is so sweet and supportive. Her lectures are really clear and I learned a lot! She made Statistics interesting and was super responsive over email. This was an excellent online class. Highly reccomend!
Dr. Jenny is amazing! I took her Stat lab with Psych 074 and I am so glad I did. She helped me earn an A in my Research methods class and I learned more stats in her class than in my previous math stats class. If you are in a stats class, take this lab with Dr. jenny!
