great teacher, tough on grading , get used to it save yourself a disappointment

Her grading system is tough, but fair. She expects nothing less than her sudents best effort. Her passion for the material that she teaches brings a new excitement to the basic english classes.

If you are on time, do the reading, and try your best you will do fine.

Ms. Myskowski is one awesome teacher. I really enjoyed my speech class. I think she is ligitimatley fair, and grades accordingly. You get what you earn in her class. Try taking her, shes very passionate about with her job!

Myskowski is SO NICE. she really enjoys her job and she enjoys her students. i felt very comfortable in her class and i felt as though i could talk to her about anything. shes very approachable and very clear. one of my favorite teachers at LCCC!

Awesome teacher. Had her for speech class and decided to take her for English. She grades hard but you learn so much she is well worth it!

A difficult class, but the teacher does her job, unlike some English profs I've had. She also cares about your performance. I spent many hours in the office with her and she always seemed happy tp help.

I had her for English 105, 106 and speech. I learned alot. She tries to help you as much as possible. I feel that she is very fair in her grading and her assignments. I would tell everyone to take her.

She was very helpful. Very easy to contact with questions. She was very nice. Her online class was a lot of fun.don't listen to everything else those other people are saying. She was more than happy to help her students. She was very understanding.

Demanding class but well worth taking with instructor. She is funny and friendly. Who are these other people who are posting? Have they taken any other speech prof? She's good.

I have a 3 hour speech class with her. She is always prepared and interesting. I really like the class. She seems tough, but fair.

She is great, at least as an online instructor. Slow returning papers and grading quizzes, but otherwise very helpful. I learned a lot from her and my online classmates.

I got an A. If you do the work, she is fair and fun.

She is a great teacher. She expects you to do your work and learn. She is very very approachable as well as if you need extra time do a paper its yours. I would take her if you have an english class and you hate english and never seem to do well

She is a very understanding teacher. If you need extra time to complete your assignments she is more willing to give you the extra time (provided you have a respectable reason for needing the time, none of the dog ate my homework stuff). She does whatever she can to help you succeed.

I really didn't think I was going to like her. As a matter of fact I wasn't sure until nearly the last day of class but it was worth the effort. Like many of the comments made she pushes you but she's just trying to do her job. Expect to work.

i think she is a very nice teacher if you give her a chance.

I really enjoyed her class. It involves a lot of writing, but that is expected with an English class, and she helps you along the way and answers questions. She is a tough but fair grader. The only bad thing is that she is so paranoid about comp viruses that she does not accept email attachments!

I really enjoyed this class. I was not sold on Women's Studies or feminism before the class, but she really made the experience meaningful. She did work me hard.

She expects too much from her students. She doesn't necessarily pick favorites she just doesn't like those people who never show up to class. She does give you a chance to revise 3 out of 5 essays throughout the semester but i would not recommend taking her unless you want to dedicate your life to this class.

She is a very enthusiastic teacher! She always write a lot of comments on you paper, so you can learn what to correct.

If you are serious about learning, she is gonna help you but if you are not, she is gonna be harsh.

Mrs. Myskowski is not as bad as the comments stated below. She is passionate about her profession, and strives for excellence. So if your looking for the easy grade, don't take her class. But if your looking to learn and have some fun as well, she's your girl. I certainly was not a favorite, I just did the work asked and came to class.

She was fairr, honest, and professional. She had a good sense of humor, and she cared about the class's progress. It was not easy, but I'd take her again.

Had her for Speech, and was NOT looking forward to it. She's a little rough around the edges, but only because she strives for her students to put effort into their work. Answered emails even when it was 11:30 at night. Gave very good advice. Overall, don't take if you're not willing to give effort.

Pretty easy class online. Teacher writes extensive comments to students. Very nice.

It was hard. I am glad to be done. She did really care. I felt like she wanted me to do well.

Myskowski is passionate about teaching and English in general, and it shows through her teaching. There are quizzes often, and you are expected to contribute to the class. Essay's are graded tough, but with lots of good feedback and you can hand in a revision for a much better grade. Helpful, interesting, and funny. A class I looked forward to.

After coming out of eng 105 frustrated and never wanting to take another english class again, Myskowski got me to enjoy english once again. I looked forward to class, she was friendly, always had a smile, actually wanted to help you, and was clear in all of her instructions. Tough grader, but always willing to help you make your papers better.

She's a nice lady overall. She enjoys using the scare tactic to get students to do their work and come to class. She loves english, and it shows in her teaching. Difficult, but worth it.

Excellent professor. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Likes independent, creative thinkers. Don't be shy in her class - she loves participation and interested students, even if you just have to "fake it till you make it." Best class I've ever had.

She can be a tough grader, but if you follow directions and put effort and preparation into your speeches it will show--and she will know it. This is not a class for slackers; however your hard work will pay off if you try.

Professor Myskowski is a dedicated teacher that wants the best for her students. You get what you put into her class. Don't expect an easy A from her but if you work for it you'll get it!

English 99 and 100- vary nice and helpfull she trys really hard to help you out put then the rest is up to you to do

Professor Myskowski really cares about her student's success, but only if they really care about it as well. I learned a lot about myself in this class and enjoyed everything we read.

I have had Professor Myskowski now for two classes. English 106 (in class) & SpeechEnglish 111 (online). I Either online or in the class, she is organized, great with communication, clear expectations and really will work with you if you work hard for her. She pushes you in her classes to be so much better and finds topics that are interesting. 3

Prof. Myskowski is a wonderfully smart woman who can seem like she's a bit condescending at times, but that is only because she is so intelligent! I feel like she favors some students more so than others, but that's okay. As long as you participate and do well on the 3-4 essay assignments (3-5 pages each) you'll be fine and recognized for effort.

I took the speech class online, and although in the beginning it seemed overwhelming, it really wasn't bad. If you log on at least 4 times a week, hand in all your assignments on time (there really aren't many) you're good! She gives great feedback, follow what she says.

The course is intimidating at first, but if you follow directions and feedback, you can get an A. Her online class is easy to follow and more developed than most.

Took for Speech as a recommendation from another student. She is great in teaching you how to better, or polish your speech skill but you have to be willing to work for it. Definitely learned a lot about communication not just public speaking. Reading on your own will be a plus.

I am an adult learner returning to school at age 51. It is obvious when you take Professor Jennifer Myskowski"s class that she loves, and is good at, what she does. She is fair and helpful. She wants each student to reach for their own personal best. You get a top quality university professor at a community college price with Professor Myskowski.

I liked Myskowski because she always had up to date grades. She was definitely a tough grader, but gave great feedback and allowed you to revise your work. There is a lot of reading in the course, so if you don't like to read, I wouldn't take her. She gives quizzes that have to do with the reading, so you have to read to pass.

She offers creative assignments beyond the normal essays. Her papers are hard to pass, but she let's you revise for a new grade. Fair teacher. Organized class.

She clearly has a passion for the subject and I can honestly say she is the best teacher I've ever had in my 16 years of education. Yes, there is a lot of work, but I walk away from this class with a greater appreciation for Literature. Engaging, insightful and charismatic. Would definitely recommend her!

She's a great professor. She cares about her students and their grades. You can talk to her if you ever have a question about a grade or anything and she would love to help. You have to speak in front of the class and she was great because she helps you to over come your fear. I love talking in front of people now thanks to her!

She is hard and you have to read, and she dislikes lazy students who don't work. But she was always available to help and really cared. I went to see her for multiple assignments, and she was nice and kind. I got an A, but I worked for it.

i was told to take this prof for speech and I don't regret it. She made me feel comfortable in class and I liked the other students in the class.

Prof. Myskowski is great at what she does. Do not take her if you are not prepared to commit yourself to the readings and work. She wants you to pass, but it isn't a class you can show up and do nothing. I learned a lot from this course.

Professor Myskowski is probably the best teacher I ever had here at LCCC. She is not easy by any means, however, if you commit yourself and your use all your resources to create a paper, and work with her to revise it and make it even better, you will have no problem and pass.

She is amazing teacher yet she was difficult grader. She wasn't going to give you a A+ unless you honestly earned it through your speeches. Speech was hard BUT i don't regret taking her, I ignored all the comments on here and took her anyway. She ended up making me come out of my comfort zone and really pushed me to be a better presenter !

She makes it really easy for you to pass the class, if not get an A. I would recommend her to anybody. Great class and great caring professor.

Ive had this professor twice and shes definitely my favorite. Super kind, approachable, intelligent, and passionate about what she teaches. She cares about her students and wants to help when they are struggling. She is also very clear about what she wants for assignments.

I had Jennifer for public speaking and she is a great Professor. Very understanding if you have an IEP or a disability. If you email her she usually responds fast! Not a tough grader at all and I suck at public speaking. I ended the class with an A. Her class wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be. Definitely recommend.

I was very scared to take her due to mixed reviews on the website but come to find out her class was fairly easy. One of the easiest classes I have taken thus far. The number of assignments is easy and not overbearing. At most will take 30 minutes for each assignment. There are 6 speeches and go no more than 7 minutes long. Very clear direction.

When I was in her class last fall she was a great professor! She responded to my emails if I had any question, she would help me with any areas that I would be struggling in her class. She would also give assignments that was very relatable to us. If you needed time to complete any assignments she would give me extra time

I took the 5 week speech course and it was a lot of work but any 5 week class would be. She was fir with her expectations and if you communicated to her she was very understanding.

Don't miss this profs class. You learn a lot from her and from everyone else. Let's you revise papers for new grade. Lots of work but not busy stuff. She gave me many breaks.

I took ENG106 with Prof. Myskowski over the 4-week winter term & 100% recommend her. It was a lot of work, especially with how short the class was - but she set up everything super well in Canvas and made the work we were supposed to do each day very clear. It was a LOT of reading and she can be a bit harsh in essay comments, but the critique helps

I struggled at first since she is strict about the formatting of work, but she was very easy to reach outside of class and helped so much. I ended up with an A. Reach out to your professors! As long as you are willing to read allllllll the content she posts, you'll be fine. I like reading so I didn't mind.

Best believe Professor Myskowski makes you work for that A+. Took her for the 2022 winter intersession. She is always reachable through Canvas. Communicate what's going on early so she can help you. Overall, she's a passionate professor who wants to see her students succeed in public speaking. Also, follow the rubrics to a T!

Myskowski knows every one by name. She requires you to work with classmates and you form strong bonds with other students. She does point out mistakes on speeches and you miss alot if you are not in class. I am a computer science major and hated writing the speeches which is required. The class is not hard and many days it was fun.

Overall a good professor, always willing to give good feedback on speeches, and graded speeches pretty generously, even when I felt that I didn't do that great of a job. Generally, the lectures are a big part of the course, as she explains speeches and criteria in them. Overall, a caring and connecting person as long as you do your work on time.

She is very kind and cares about her students. Just follow her rubrics for speeches and practice, and you'll do good; Although sometimes she took of points with nothing to criticize. Overall what you'd expect for a speech class.

She is more than wonderful in education. Although the course was only five weeks long, she was able to deliver the book's content completely and easily. Although I am not a native English speaker, her teaching method made everything perfect.

Prof. Myskowski taught a really awesome speech class. I could tell that she has lots of experience in a classroom and knew how to engage it. I think the speaking skills she taught in this class have truly shaped me personally.

Professor Myskowski was a solid professor, she was very good at teaching and engaging the class into the lesson. She was also reasonable with deadlines and allowing late work at reasonable times. She was also on a bright mood when in class uplifting other students.

She is the best professor I have ever had. She doesn't give many assignments outside of the speeches you have to do. She is very professional yet cares about all the students. She was super helpful in making sure we were comfortable during our speeches. She even wrote me a very well written letter of rec. when she was SWAMPED in work. I loved her.

I feel as if the professor had clear expectations. If you are a student who struggles with anxiety or public speaking, but this class is required for you, then this is the class to pick. The professor approves of your work first before creating the video and she is willing to answer any questions you may have. Good luck.

Had this professor for speech (ENG111) in Fall 2024 and literature (ENG106) in Spring 2025. She provides a lot of feedback and is easy to communicate with. On the speeches, she provides a lot of constructive criticism. I'd take another class with this professor.

I liked my Introduction to Literature class. She LOVED my puns because she told me she loves puns in the beginning of the semester. One time I made the whole class, including her laugh. There are only 2 papers & be prepared to read uncomfortable readings. She also gives good feedback, constructive criticism, & has clear rubrics & lectures.
