Take her if you want an A! She was very helpful. She explained each and every lab to you before you started the experiments. She gave pop quizzes, so read before class. Her tests were fairly easy. Just review before hand. I highly recommend her.

This class was great! Jen's so easy to talk to, gives you examples of real life situations/her personal experiences. She was down to earth. Homework was a pain, we had to turn in vocab but it really helped my grade, plus the bonus! Pay attention at the review- most of her questions are on the test! I would take her again! A+ teacher!

Class was very hard! She gives tons of notes but provides most of them & does excellent reviews for exams. There's too much material though, but all A&P classes are like that from what I hear. I recommend her but it's not going to be an easy A- my friend had Palmer & I think he'd be easier but she said he gets boring & rambles.

Do the reviews & any bonus she offers. The final was very difficult, but it bumped me up from a 'B' to an 'A'. Not sure about the other comment about spelling errors- my notes were fine, she writes a lot of short hand & uses some med short hand. Many questions come from the book- read the chapters!

I took her online for a term class. It was very intense, but she posted all of the notes for the chapters on power point. The tests were hard, but the online quizzes boost your grade. At the end of the semester, she gave a bonus assignment worth 30 points. She answers e-mails quickly. I would take her again.

Had her for SE101. Info's boring but she is very nice & funny. Gave biology expls not in book to help understand (business major here). She understood us & tried to help us pull up our grades. Quizzes were either very easy or super hard. She gave partial credit, send out email reminders regularly & the last class gave surveys to increase grade.

She was great. I mean it is hard to judge SE 101 but she gave us a LOT of extra credit.

I don't have her but went to lab today to study for the midterm and she was there. She was so helpful and actually taught the material, explained the parts and gave tips on how to learn everything. I really like her and will take her for the 2nd lab

In my 6 years of schooling (Undergrad & Grad), I don't think I have enjoyed a class so much. Granted, I am a little older and took the class because I WANTED to. Jen is an extremely understanding and flexible person; she has a sense of humor and relates well with all students in the class. The quizzes are definitely hard so use textbook.

Jen is a great teacher. She makes sure you understand the material before leaving class. We had a chance to view all the bones, charts, models for tests. Bonus points given during after class review for exams. Quizzes are easy if you study. Exams from her notes and printed material. Highly recommend her.

Jen is one of the best teachers on southeastern's campus. She will always help you, if you help yourself. She is very personable, and test are easy if you study. We always get out at least 30 to 40 min early. Take her if you want or need to love Biology!!!

The class is a lot to study and KNOW but she makes it as easy and interesting as possible. usually let out early in night class and before test will do a review with bonus points. Know all the material from her notes and the book. It makes up the entire test (you can't just skim the book, you need to memorize it).

One of the BEST professors I have ever had. The material is very hard, but she bends over backwards to help. If you have a question, just ASK! She let us take part of the test online and that helped. She also offers bonus and quizzes, which can really help your grade. She really goes out of her way to help her students and answers email right away.

Term 1 Internet: Loads of work to do. You can take the quizzes as many times as you want. DO THEM AND GET ALL THE POSSIBLE QUESTIONS. Test questions come from them, and it really helps if you have those questions and answers available.

Took it online and Tynes took over the class when our professor passed away. She is incredibly helpful and responds almost instantly to emails at all hours. Offered xtra credit to help w/ science fair. Take practice quizzes over and over to ace the tests. Naturally hard class, so good to have someone like her as a professor.

Replaced my online teacher when she passed away. I agree w/ other comment: wrote her email at 10pm and she replied by 10:15. Heard she had her 3rd baby this semester too. She just seems like an amazing person. Will take her for lab bc I've heard only good things.

Term 1 online. Hard class but have access to multiple attempt quizzes, CONNECT, LearnSmart and Discussion Board. Do quizzes over and over, use as study guide. She answers emails lightening fast (seriously- within a few mins usually even at night, weekends and Fall Break!) 1 of the most caring instructors I've had.

I had her for both 250 and 251 online. By far the best teacher at SLU!!! Always quick to respond to emails, very helpful. Makes the classes fun, interesting and exciting. Quizzes are multiple attempts. Test are based from quizzes. Give study guide as well. Made an A in zoo 250 online and zoo 251, which was a winter course. TAKE HER!!!!!!

Term 1 online- Do not take Term 1!! So much work! Gives resources (Connect, studyguides, discussion board) but its too much material (16 CHAPTERS!) in 8 weeks! I made a "C" and will retake bc I'm nursing. She does reply fast to emails and is helpful- just overwhelmed with amount of material! 17 quizzes, discussion board, 3 exams, and a final!

Took her a term 1 class online. It's a lot of work but it is very possible to make an A or B. Just take the quizzes as much as possible and do the old exams she puts on moodle and you'll do fine. Don't procrastinate and be prepared the work load

Term 1- grades are 3 test, quiz each chapter 5 chances on each, final, discussion board. Quizzes and db boost my grade to a B. Lot of work. Replied same day to all my emails (even at night and on weekends!) I'm in term 2 251 and it's easier than 250

It was a term 1 and while it was a lot of work (quiz for each chapter, 3 tests, final quiz, final, and discussion boards) it was not so bad. I got a B and when I tried taking it in class I had a D until I dropped. Definitely recommend!

I'm a Bio Major. Not sure how she is as a teacher but as an advisor she's amazing! Always replies to emails, easy to set up appt on campus during office hours, met me once at Walker site, very helpful and easy to talk to. Seriously a huge help!

The course itself is extremely difficult but Jen does her best to keep it entertaining. She passes on good tips to remember certain bones or structures. However, she moves very fast and gives no mercy on tests. Never multiple choice, so don't expect it. This was the hardest class I've ever taken, but she made it bearable. She's a sweet person.

Dr. Peak was an amazing person! Her class, though, was the hardest thing I've EVER taken in my life! It would've been better had she given a few bonus points to help grades out, and if she wouldn't have made her exams so difficult. They were awful! But like I said, she's a really cool, laid back person.

As tough as Zoology is, having Peak for the lab goes a long way. Start preparing day one for the bones.. do not procrastinate. All nighters will not work if you haven't accumulated the information. Overall, she's very helpful and a fun person. Definitely the best lab professor offered.

Dr. Peak is such a sweetheart and will help you as long as you ask. I recommend taking her online for Zoo because it's easier than taking it in class and you can earn more points to help your grade. However, you probably won't actually learn anything because the slides are 100 per chapter, but if you just want an A take it.

I recommend this class to verbal leaners. Although, I'm more of a visual, read to myself and figure it out on my own type, Jen was well spoken and made lectures so interesting. You literally, need to listen to everything she says. Oh and the exams and quizzes are like playing timed musical chairs; no joke, it was nerve racking.

Wonderful professor. You MUST study or you wont pass. She really breaks down the material so that you can understand and she is willing to help at all times. She's funny and the her class environment was very comfortable. I struggled with anatomy until I took her class!

Great class, very helpful if you have a busy schedule. test and activities are most likely always due on a Monday which helps, test cover maybe 4 chapters at a time. i took the term online course and it wasnt bad at all. she also is responsive via email unlike most teachers. Take her you wont regret it.

One of the sweetest ladies ever, but it broke my heart that she didn't bump me up to an A and I ended the class with an 89.15. I spoke with her before the class started and she said she would curve the grades if they were that close to the next letter grade and didn't. The class itself was easy but you will get whatever you earn.

Prof. Peak is an amazing instructor. ZOOL 253 is changeling because the main grades are a midterm & final but she made it a breeze. Prof. Peak also give quizzes which can help your grade A LOT if needed. This class is a lot of material but study and review the models and background information. Test yourself on the models also and you'll do great.

Great w emails & reminders for due dates (always on Mondays but only like 6 due dates the whole semester). 60 mins for about 70 questions & must have found out at midterm ppl cheat bc tests got harder and questions weren't on word doc we had. Study, do discussion board & Connect to study more. No time to google answers or search book

Amazing! Midterm was tough, quizzes help! She tells you ways to remember information by relating to common or funny things. Took final today, said go back on these bc its wrong- exams were posted tonight! Then got email saying my final letter grade is a B bc I was at a 79.1, didnt miss a lab and she bumped to a B! I love her!

Jen is a great professor! She really does help you out in the class and she really cares about your grade. GO TO EVERY CLASS! It will help you in the long run. It moves quickly, but she looks at participation, attendance and hard work to move you up a letter grade. She is really good at her job and enjoys doing it! YOU MUST STUDY TO PASS!!

Dr. Jenn is one of the BEST teachers for ZooL! I was not doing so well at the beginning of the semester, but after final everything was great. There are quizzes that helped not only with my grade, but it helped prepare me for the midterm as well as the final. She's very passionate about the criteria taught. She doesn't go to fast or too slow.

I just finished her online term-one class, and it is definitely tough, but thats not her fault - Zoology is just a really tough, time-consuming course. We had quite a few quizzes that we could take up to five times, three tests, and a final exam. Make sure to complete some of the discussion board questions, as they will help to boost your grade.

Memorization is the key!!! But be sure to understand what you are remembering. She makes the class really fun and interesting. This pandemic semester was very difficult for so many but Dr. Peak was so amazing throughout it all. I recommend her 100%!! I had Dr. Peak for a term 2 ZOO251 class. The material was very crammed into the 6 short weeks, but that's not her fault. Gave us power points as lectures so we had to pretty much teach ourselves, but gives a lot of extra credit opportunities. As bad as this term 2 class was, i wouldn't want anyone else as my professor.

TAKE HER! the class was online (test & exams also) but she is ALWAYS there if you have a question. easy to understand through her powerpoints (she adds her own notes in addition to them) , great study guides. easy points to earn etc. its anatomy, of course its gonna be hard. but she helps to make it as easy as possible!

She was very thorough and explained concepts well. There is a weekly quiz before lab online and it helps you see how models will be applied! You have to study hard to do good on pre midterm, midterm, pre final, and final but its definitely doable! Shes very understanding and responds to emails pretty quickly!

Dr. Peak cares about your success in the class. She is extremely intelligent and her level of dedication is apparent in the quality and quantity of her lecture videos she posts online. You can tell she is upset about the circumstances of the pandemic but, has worked incredibly hard to compensate with supplemental videos (as mentioned above).

Definitely recommend for ZOOL 252! Dr. Peak is great at answering questions and making sure her students understand what to study and how to find the most effective way of truly understanding the material. It's a lot of material so you need to stay on top of studying; however, Dr. Peak is open to answering questions in and out of class.

Amazing lady! Met us online when she had Covid and was at home quarantined with 7 kids! Tests are hard but she tells you how to study. Take notes when watching her videos. We studied each class and shed ask us questions to make sure we were prepared. Definitely cared and wanted to help us to pass.

She is actually a really good professor and cares she usually gives extra credit if she sees yall are trying! Dr JP is so helpful! Videos help before lab & to review outside class. Shes so open to questions, replies crazy fast to emails & obviously cares about us. I wish she taught 251 & 253 bc shes the best teacher Ive had here!

She very helpful when we emailed or met but you have to work for it. Do all Connect assignments & quizzes they saved my grade & helped me learn. Ppt are long but I only read over them once & then used connect, took notes on videos, study the past exam she gives- questions were from there too & back of chapters. C+ to A w/Connect & drop test

I took this class online Summer 2022 and it was so rough. However, Dr. Peak made this semester bearable. She is very sweet, encouraging, and she set everything up to the point where you can work at your own pace. Connect assignments & quizzes SAVED my grade. I literally failed every exam and managed to finish with a B. Don't stress!

Most caring teacher I have had! Responds fast to emails & wants us to do well. Her videos on anatomy saved me in lab (my lab teacher doesn't teach! I passed using Dr. Peak's Youtube). Study the things she emails. Do the PAST EXAM! Textbook can be used on test but you have to study; not enough time to look up everything. Dropped lowest test grade!

Watch videos before class and prep like she says. Manual didn't come until almost midterm but Dr Peak gave use everything we needed and I didn't need to buy the book. Don't miss a class, ask questions & she'll know you are trying... My grade was a B+ and I ended with an A because I didn't miss & got through her bonus activity. Videos are huge help

Mrs. Peak was an amazing professor. She had homework assignments on moodle and connect. They were time-consuming but fairly easy to do. She lets you use 1 page and your textbook for the exams. If you like the grade you have in the class, you do not have to take the final. She lets you use one exam as a drop grade.

Dr. Peak is a great professor. While this class is hard, she makes it a lot easier with the videos she puts in moodle and the little weekly quizzes (do them!). Just go to every class (she gives bonus got that at the end of the sem) and be prepared. I would recommend studying the material as you learn it instead of cramming it all in for exams!

Dr. Peak is great overall and really cares for students. For the online A&P course, it is difficult and requires effort. If you love to learn anatomy, can focus / dedicate the time to study, and do a good amount of assignments, you will enjoy both the class and Dr. Peak. If you cant make the time to study, look elsewhere.

I took the lab on campus last semester w/ a different teacher & it was so hard! Everything was relabeled and you couldn't identify structures. Peak will only test you on what is in the manual and what she talks about. I took it at Walker and it's so much easier with the regular models and her.

Jennifer peak is honestly one of the best teachers I have taken. Her 3 exams were incredibly hard but are able to be done if you really put the effort in! Do her past exams (most of the test comes from that and her jeopardy powerpoints). She gives 4 exams (one is the final), and one can be dropped. Do not forget Connect assignments- they help!

There are 7 pre lab quizzes, 2 big quizzes (the same as the final but 20pts and a week b4 midterm and final), midterm, and final. Do not procrastinate, I promise you will not get an A. I started studing 3 weeks in advance. My quiz average was a 81.5, 100 on prelabs, midterm was a 83, and final was a 97. She does give extra credit! Take her!

Dr. Peak is genuinely one of the best professors I've had. The class itself was pretty difficult, but if you actually put the time and effort it, you will do good in this class. She emails back super fast. Make sure to do all the Connect assignments to get an easy grade boost. Highly recommend her for both lecture and lab!

I really loved her. If you can make sure to take her for zoology or zoology lab. The class was really easy and the quizzes were online which made things a lot easier and she gave lots of bonus opportunities. 100% recommend

I've heard Peak is a very enjoyable and amazing teacher- in person. DO NOT take her online unless you absolutely have to. Most of my classmates were extremely confused and a lot of them made under 70-80% each test. She lets you use your textbook or 1-3 pages of handwritten notes, but even so these did not make the tests any easier. TAKE IN PERSON!!

2nd time taking this class (had CF in summer) its a hard one but shes the best to get. Drops lowest test, lots of extra work to pull up grade & learn. She will help you if you go to her. Lots of notes so she told me to focus on Connect 1st & shed send email to class before test w/ tips that helped. I felt I had a D all semester extra work is B

The best prof I have EVER had. Anatomy is hard, no getting around that. But she made it so easy and actually cares about you learning and knowing the info, so she gives it in the easiest way possible. Go to class, pay attention and study. Main grades are the final and midterm along with a quiz for each, not a lot of cushion outside of that.

Best prof I have EVER had. Took 252 and 253 with her at the same time and got an A in both. Anatomy is hard and lots of info. But she made the class as easy as possible and truly cares about you learning and understanding the info. Main grades are the midterm, final, and a quiz to go with each. Other than that not a lot of wiggle room, so study!

Take this professor if you ever have to take Zoology. She is the best teacher I have ever had in college. She is extremely caring and just an amazing person and teacher. 10/10 recommend her.

Mrs. Peak is the best teacher fort his class. The material is hard but she makes it as straight forward as she can. Definitely recommend!

Much to my shame this will be my 3rd time through university, and Dr. Jennifer is perhaps the most pleasant professor I've had the joy of taking. I have to drive an hour to get to the Walker location for her class but gladly made that 2 hour round trip drive. She's super approachable and clearly cares for her students.

I lucked out taking her for lab. Shes so sweet and is extremely understanding. She helped boost up my confidence after being really lost the first couple of weeks of class. She made a hard class, easy.

Hort Industry w/ her and Dr K was amazing! They are so sweet & Peak is like a super organized class mom! I love her! Class ties so many other sciences together w/ many field trips & class activities. 100% would take the 8 day class again!

Professor Peak is tough but fair. The exams are challenging, so staying on top of the textbook and Connect assignments is crucial. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for exam prep alongside other study tools. Worth the effort if you're passionate about the subject.

probably the best ZOOL/BIO professor, she explains so well. Lots of studying and memorization but what do expect its a lab.

There is alot of extra credit oppurtunities and available quizlets for her online exams. She also drops your lowest exam. Take her!!!!!

great grading scale by having many assignments that can boost your grade. However, the smart book assignments take the most time and are only worth 4 points wish they were worth more. Test are also over 6 chapters which is a lot. she does replace the lowest exam grade with higher one and exams are open book which can be good.

Yes I finished with a C but that was my fault. I recommend this teacher for an online bio. It is alot of hw but it helps your grade so much and you get to us the textbook on every test.

She wants you to learn and pass and there's so many chances to improve your grade. I got a B but most tests I made a C. Dropped lowest test and lots of Connect points gave me a B. She replies fast to emails and gives great feedback on tests. So glad I got her and not some of the others I heard horror stories about.

AP 1 online over summer. Course was entirely textbook based with a homework, quiz, and Smartbook assignment for every single chapter. So many assignments and they take a long time to finish! But they were easy and it did help prepare for exams. Exams are open book! VERY helpful and accessible via email, so sweet and has extra videos to help. 10/10!

A&P is a hard class, but Peak does a really good job of making it manageable. Watch her YouTube videos, go to class, and study a little bit every day. There is a mini quiz, midterm, mini quiz, and final. She gives bonus at the end of the semester that helps a lot. It was hard but shes very understanding and gives tips and tricks to remember stuff
