Mrs. Perkins is a nice lady. She cares about the students and gives you every opportunity in the world to pass her class. It is a easy class and I walked out of there with a B.

She teaches college material like a high school teacher (a very good thing). She's so nice, thinks of herself as an English nerd even though she's pretty cool, and is genuinely willing to help with the CLAST and papers.

Ms. Perkins is the best! especially when you have to write a paper, she'll take class to library, have you turn a draft and give it back and you can improve your grade. She even brings snacks and candy during holidays. She makes Shakespeare fun! You will not be sorry if you get her class. I enjoy her discussions and her class.

AMAZING! A real asset for TCC. She is always there for her students and is extremely understanding. She grades based on how you have improved over the semester not how you compare to the other students in the class. Her classroom is one that promotes creativity and learning. I liked her so much that I'm taking her again for ENC1141! Take her!

Mrs. Perkins and Mr. Crombie are the best english teachers at TCC!!!! She was very helpful and I even learned somethings that were suppose to be taught in 1102 but learned in her class... Be a college student, come to class,do the assignments, be respectful, and actually try to learn and you will do WELL!!!!

BEST TEACHER I'VE HAD IN TCC. She CARES about her students and knows your name. She requires some written assignments but you're in COLLEGE so you can do it. She loves her job and you can tell. The class is interesting and the final is easy.

I had Mrs. Perkins for ENC 1101 as well, she assigns a lot of writing work, but it isn't hard. She is easy to work with and explains all of the material very well. She also made British Lit. a lot of fun. I would take her for at least one of your humanities or english classes. Be prepared to read though. She assigns reading more than writing.

Mrs. Perkins is an awesome teacher with a LOT of understanding! Doesn't pile on writing assignments usually a one and a half page journal is the extent of homework!!! Got to write on topics that you choose, not very difficult to write when the topic is as broad as she allows!

It IS easy to "pass" this course. More importantly - Ms. Perkins makes it easy to LEARN in her classes.She is very dynamic and interesting! If you're 1/2-way motivated you will love this class!

Awesome teacher, kept the class alive with funny comments or metaphors. I found the class pretty easy, we actually covered Hamlet which I now understand pretty fully, be sure to buy the book though.

Ms. Perkins is the best! if you love reading, take her, if you hate reading, take her. she is refreashingly enthusiastic and although there is steady homework it's easy and interesting.

She rocks. She makes everything so understandable. She's one of my favorite teachers. You do need the book because you read a lot from it. Attendance isn't mandatory but you do need to be there because you do get participation points but if you're not there she won't drop you or anything. She makes evreything easy even Shakespeare. Probably one of my favorite teachers at TCC. Extremely helpful and understanding, and really tries to get to know and help the class. Gives frequent but relatively easy homework (the kind of stuff you can finish in a few minutes so long as you read whatever was asked) and gives you ample time to finish any assigned essays. Definitely recommend her!

I didn't have any issues with her. She is a fair teacher. She is pretty bland though, nothing really memorable. I didn't even remember her name for the first half of the semester. But she is sweet and will help you with anything if you ask. She also loves students to participate in the discussions.

Mrs. Perkins is very nice, sweet and understanding. She allows you to either turn in your hmwk or send it by email. She really try hard to work with you when it comes to papers, hmwk assignments and journals. Her class is not hard at all. I hardly ever went to class and still passed her class with a B.

Favorite english teacher i've ever had, ever! Her lenient but effective grading criteria allows you to fully express your personal writing style along with comfortable and easily understandable assignments and prompts. I've never had a teacher who allows you to put so much personal thoughts and opinions into assignments! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

Fantastic English professor. You will have to work a little bit to obtain good grades. But she does make her essay's tediously long, so no fear there...Show up too class because the home work is a decent percentage of your final grade.

all around nice teacher. attendance is a must, she gives in class assignments that cant be made up but if u show up & do the work its easy & shes very helpful. lot of summary & essay writing but ur given plenty of time. shes very friendly, understand, & willing to help u pass the class. highly recommend her.

Professor Perkins is the best. I'm not a writer, but I found her Very Helpful & enjoyable.she has many small homework assignments,3in-class essays and 2out-of-class essays that make up your grade.I have taken two of her classes(the pop-culture one and the writing about lit)planning to take a 3rd. Literature isnt the most interesting subject but Ms. Perkins made it fun. She loves to do discussions with everyone in the class participating, so speak up! She does make an effort to remember every students name which was nice. Do your out of class journals, they add up! Plus if you read the literature, its easy. In class essay were very easy.

One of the best teachers i've had at TCC, she's really clear on what she expects and more than willing to help! I went through a pretty bad situation this semester and she was the only teacher I had to make sure my school work wasnt affected by it, work hard and you'll get the grade you deserve!

Best professor I have ever had and I also recommend 1141 to 1102. She explains everything well and is willing to help no matter the situation. Do the work and take advantage of the extra credit and you will be more than fine. Everybody take her!

Nicest professor you could possibly get. Very interested in what she teaches, so she embraces it with a passion. Loves Shakespeare, so be prepared to study that. Fair with grading, gives excellent feedback on papers, pushes you to improve, understands real life situations, enthusiastic about class. Extra credit opportunities! Highly recommend!

It's impossible to fail her class. I took her class for Spring, and I'm taking her online class in Fall. I highly suggest her class to anyone.

Taking British Literature with Ms. Perkins was absolutely one of the best decisions I've made at TCC! She was so helpful with everything, responding to emails instantly. She took a little bit to grade things, but was always fair and on the easy side while doing so. Everything was due on Mondays which made keeping up very attainable!

I adore Ms. Perkins! She made my first semester at TCC enjoyable. The work isn't all that easy, but it's also not rocket science. You just have to go to class and always check blackboard. She is a great professor, without a doubt!

Mrs. Perkins is amazing. I took her class on campus for ENC1141, and I took her online class for ENL2000. She is so kind and so helpful. She makes learning about literature interesting and fun. Her online classes are very simple to follow and she was always there when I needed her. I would take her classes a million times over again.

Mrs. Perkins was nice, but was sort of a tough grader. I tried very hard on her papers and was never satisfied with my grade. Her class was online, and it was a lot of writing!!! I was just frustrated because most teachers at tcc love my papers and writing style, but I do not think she understood it well, and that reflected in my grade..

Mrs. Perkins is the best! She is very helpful and really wants her students to succeed. She does a great job at relating the lessons to things students are actually interested in. Not a tough grader, just show up for class, do what's expected of you, and you'll get an A. Will definitely be taking her again if possible!

i would 100% take her again. she was fun, nice, and gave fun essay topics. she was also good with feedback and allowed you to edit your essays and she was open to help all. she let you leave early and made optional days. she always offered help with every essay and i would take her over any teacher.

She is a fantastic teacher and I have learned so much from her this semester. I would 100% take her again. She explains everything REALLY well and is great with feedback. She always as time to offer her help for essays (we do a total of 3 essays and 3-4 in class essays) and we get a lot of time to do them. We do use the book sometimes so do get it!

Dr. Perkins was very helpful and got me through it. English is my second language so I struggle with most writing assignments but she worked with me and was very helpful.

This teacher was the bomb. She understands when you can't be in class and is very flexible with you. Very easy class and you have a lot of time to do the work.

This class was really fun to take! Professor Perkins is really friendly, nice, and understanding. Though don't expect everything to be handed to you as this class does require lots of reading, writing, and text analysis. But it's college, so if you want to succeed this course is definitely challenging and interesting.

Mrs. Perkins is a wonderful teacher. I would not necessarily call it an easy A but if you show up to class and earn your participation points, do the homework, and write the papers, you will have no problem passing the class. Had three papers all semester two were 700 words, the other was a 1000 word min. Lenient Grader, makes class fun!

If you like to write then I would take her class. The literature we read was interesting, she did not require a textbook! She loves for the class to engage. If you enjoy reading fiction, and writing short stories and essays I would take it! (: She truly cares about her students as well.
