She was OK. I took this class online so maybe that's why it was harder for me. She gives you study guides before the exams but she doesn't give you the answers to them... I took this online in summer. Wow, she wasn?t kidding when she warned us it would be intense (b/c of 6 wk class)! It?s a difficult subject, but her lecture videos make it seem like you are in class. Downside of online is that you can?t ask questions in the moment, but she is helpful at office hours. I thought it was well-organized and a good class.

PEARSON PEARSON PEARSON 4 exams 30% each Drops lowest. 10 assignments 10% total. Specifically states NO NOTES on exams in syllabus, then in finest of print on her "event ticket" when you sign up for live exam she mentions bring notes. HW is over 100 questions every week. Can redo but must redo all 100 questions that change each time. Unforgiving.

Exams are easy, you get to bring a cheat sheet. She gives up to 5% bonus points on exams and rounds overall grade, both based on your homework scores (try to get 90%+ with unlimited attempts). She drops your lowest two homework as well. If you spend time making a cheat sheet with formulas from her lectures and doing homework, it is an easy A.

Guys this is one kind professor BUT BEWARE....this professor uses Rate My Professor to make the smallest class possible. THIS IS NOT AN ONLINE CLASS! THIS IS AN IN PERSON PROFESSOR! How well you perform on the Problem Sets AKA HWK determines the curve you get on each exam. Don't skip out on the study guides or she'll dismiss you from class. :D

Do not take this class. She is extremely vague in her lectures but then on exams you have to go into detail on certain subjects. She makes her exams way too difficult. Yes you get a note sheet but NONE of the stuff she had us study to prepare is on the exam.

Do not take this professor, she uses old lecture videos from covid, that will be your only way to learn by the way. Exams are very hard and she does not prepare you for them and the study guide is way different than the test.

This class is quite challenging. The professor uses outdated materials and exams that don't align with the study guides. However, the homework assignments can boost your grade if you put in the effort. I found Unstuck ai helpful for exam prep along with the textbook.

I ended up withdrawing from her class fall of 2024. Whenever I emailed her she did respond.Unfortunately this class was extremely difficult since a lot of the lecture videos & the textbook are completely different on the tests. It may be best to find a new professor. This class takes a lot of hours to put in. Nice lady but her teaching style's bad.

Not only does this professor not encourage students and show kindness, she insults them. Nothing we learn is on the test and her and her class are just not enjoyable.

Beware no paper or pencil is allowed on tests or quizzes. Her requests are absurd and impractical. I'm not investing in a binder or whiteboard to help her paranoia or cheating.

Tough. would only recommend taking this class online if you have the time to dedicate to it. It is at least 40 hours a week of work and even more if you want extra credit or grade rounding. Uses MyLab and lots of anti-cheating precautions. Do the problem sets and watch the videos explaining study guide questions and you will pass.

terrible professor who uses outdates course material and shows little to no care for students. I have no idea how it is physically possible for a professor to have material that is "taught" be completely different than what is given on exams. homework is no help. If this is the only prof available for a class, don't even bother. Awful teacher

Did not believe the comments, so I had to learn the hard way. Truly had a horrible experience taking this class. Professor's homework and study guide do not prep you for the exams. I even took tutoring on campus and the tutors could not help me because they didn't know how to solve and graph some of the problem sets in the homework.

Took the 6 week summer course for ECON170 and ECON175 at the same time with Prof. Savage. Considering the time frame, it's a very demanding class, but as long as you take good notes on the lecture videos and review both the problem sets and the study guide, you'll do well. Very responsive to emails!

Took her class in spring 25. She doesn't know what she's doing n gives u a ton of hw which r not in the exams. She locks the door like five mins before class n won't let u drink liquids or use the restroom. She is vry paranoid n expects u to spend money on anti cheating stuff. She basically should quit the teaching profession.
