Jenn was one of the most influential teachers I've had in my time at ECU. She is very understanding and all she asks of you is that you do your work. The assignments she gives are helpful for your future (such as research on your major). TAKE HER CLASS

She is very nice and her class is not very hard. She could be an easy A.

How could anyone not like Jennifer? She is a great teacher and explains her assignments clearly and in much detail. It is even more helpful that she gets to know each of her students on a personal basis making sure they understand everything. Jennifer has been my best professor at ECU so far!

Jen was my favorite teacher last semester. I had her at eight in the morning and that was my motivation for getting up that day. She is a very sweet and HELPFUL teacher. She gets to know her students and makes sure they enjoy coming to class and know whats going on. I definately recoomend her.

Jennifer is a great teacher. She's a fun-loving and a very helpful person. My first semester would not have been successful if it weren't for her. I just love her. I really learned a lot in her class. Go to class and ask for help. You Got It.

EXCELLENT TEACHER!!! If you ever get the chance to have her then DO NOT pass it up. She allows for extra credit and she lets you rewrite your papers for a complete grade replacement. You learn a lot and yet you dont have to stress.

What else is ther to say? She's a great teacher!! The only thing I didn't like about her class was that it was so early in the morning.Other than that it was a breeze

I LOVED this class, she is a fun young teacher who is in touch with today's culture. She is a fair grader, and the class just flies by. Would definitely take again.

She is a wonderful teacher! She is so sweet and really cares about her students. She gives a lot of work for each assignment but is a pretty easy grader and gives extra credit on papers. You'll have to complete 10 service hours for a paper. You'll also have to give an oral presentation, but it's easy!

She is such a nice teacher. She is younger :(Under 30) and really cares about her students. She knows what it feels like to be lost on a large campus so on the first day of class we played the name game. I plan on taking her for English 1200 next semester. She is very fair with her grading and will go out of her way to help her students out.

I really don't agree w/ these people giving her 4 & 5 on easiness. Her grading is definiately tough! If you want an A or B make sure you know how to write in her style...if you think you're good writer, you'll prob. have no problems. But I'm avg. in writing & I literally spent 5hrs on a paper she gave a C for.

Ms. Sisk is an amazing teacher with a great sense of humor. She likes to make jokes and understands the humor of her students. As long as you respect her you will have no problem. Do the homework and ask her questions, she likes that. You should be good to go

She is a wonderful teacher and you can miss up to 3 days in her class and it will not affect your grade. She is very helpful and if you try your best you will get a good grad. The service learning hours is not that bad you only have to do 10 hours and you have all semester to do it. She is one of the best professors I have had at ECU.

Okay, here's the deal. If you are good at English and are a fairly good writer, take her. She is a very nice person. She grades hard on papers, but you will learn something. Oh, and she cancels class a lot which is nice. On the two papers we have had so far, I got a 96 and a 97... So in my opinion, take her!

I'm an A B student and I've always done good in english, untill now. Do not take her. She is EXTREMELY hard in grading and treats you like a highschooler. 10 Hours of Community Service MANDATORY. Project at end of semister is extremly lame. Miss more than 3 classes = 2 points off final grade per missed day. Stay away at any cost.

Very good teacher. Grades papers very easily. She gives a total of 4 assignments and alot of extra credit opportunitys. Go to class and put effort and you will receieve an a/b+.

She is very happy and enthusiastic most of the time.. sometimes to the point of it being like an elementary class. She is helpful and answers student's questions directly. You have to do a 10 hour community service project (that no other teachers require, by the way) and a presentation for it. She grades fairly. Overall, I recommend her.

Easy class, great teacher! Always willing to help you make your papers better. Definitely turned bad writers into good ones. I would advise taking her. :)

Good Professor. 2 main research papers(each 25% of grade). Other factors are studentship, homework (never had much), quizzes (if you have a good class she doesn't give any) & attendance. Best part is the extra credit for attendance. Perfect attendance = 3pts added on to final grade/1 day missed = 2pts/2 days missed = 1pt Always willing to answer Qs

Ms. Sisk is an awesome teacher. She gives a couple of short papers and one big paper in the end. She requires that you do 10 hours of community service. The big paper is related to the community service. A presentation is required at the end of the semester for the volunteering. No quizzes unless your class is disrespectful.

Awesome and helpful. Ask her for anything and she will do her best to help you get an A. I recommend her highly.

I loved Ms. Sisk it was the most laid back english class I have ever taken. She will let the class out early if you ask and there is only three papers.

Enthusiastic, but asks too much for a 1000 level course. If she eased off her requirements and assignments a bit she would be an excellent professor. The service learning aspect of the course kind of sucks too.

I love Ms. Sisk! She is a great teacher and goes above and beyond to help her students! She only assigns three papers for the semester. You do have to volunteer, but it's not bad because you can pick where and when you want volunteer and it's only 10 hours.

Ms. Sisk is the sweetest professor I have ever met. She helps you out a lot and I love her requirements in only 3 papers and having to voulunteer. I think it's insanely helpful! She gives extra credit for attendence, but you also lose points if you have too many absences! Take her if you want to get out of a harder english class!

Mrs. Sisk was amazing, yes her work is a bit challenging but it isnt hard to acomplish plus she will gladly help you along the way. Extra credit also helps you a ton, and there is alot of opportunity to earn that! Take her!

Great teacher. Really enjoyed taking her. If you go to her office and ask for help she will help you. Yeah you have to do community service but you get to pick where you go. It is honestly worth it - great experience.

I had Professor Sisk for an online class and she was great. Her assignments were very clear, and I think that her grading was extremely fair. When I e-mailed her with questions she was very quick to respond. I definitely recommend taking her, she was very organized.

Professor Sisk was one of my favorite teachers at ECU so far. Because of the small class size she gets to know everyone well! There is service learning but she grades pretty easily if you put the time in on major papers. Wait til last second to grade but very sweet and helpful. 3 points on final grade if never miss a class!!

Ms. Sisk is a wonderful teacher, she is understanding, helpful and open-minded. She is always available for help and goes above and beyond to help every single student. Her grading is fairly easy, but she doesn't accept excuses. Attendance is mandatory, but she does not give tests. Your only grades come from 5 papers, so things are simple and easy.

I love this lady! She's is a great teacher and very helpful. She gives you chances to correct your papers, and is lenient.

I took Ms. Sisk a few years back for 1100 and 1200. Fantastic professor and an ECU graduate. She is young and can relate to students. Do the assignments, do the Community Service EARLY, and study for exams and you shouldn't get anything less than a B.

Ms Sisk is a very nice lady, sometimes she is a bit moody in class, and she tends to play favorites. There are only 3 papers and a final project. The service hours are a breeze. If you pay close attention to her requirements for the papers and check blackboard often the class should be a breeze. She really cares about all her students.

loved her! best english teacher i've ever had. definitely go to her classes, she lets you miss three without penality. she's such a nice lady and very personable. she's willing to help you with any assignment, it's hard not to do well. i recomment you start your ten service learning hours early!

She's so sweet. Her boyfriend proposed to her in our class! You gotta volunteer but 10 hours is a piece of cake. You write some essays but she helps you out alone the way. She will help you out no matter what situation, don't be afraid to talk to her. If you get the book you should keep it, it is very helpful for writing future essays.

Best prof I have ever had, she will literally help you write your papers if you ask and cares enough to know your name! Do your 10 service hours somewhere fun it's a breeze and if you show you care she'll be lenient with you! The papers are easy as pie, she even gives out extra credit and explains everything well! Professor Sisk requires 10 hours of volunteer service and i loved it. This was my favorite course I have ever taken. Always available for extra help, and so sweet. English is always a lot of work, but Sisk makes it fun and easy. Highly recommend taking this course with her!

I made an F in her class. She was actually an easy teacher if I worked harder on my assignments. I regret not doing well, but I would recommend her to anyone even though I failed.

There were a lot of papers but if you met the criteria, it is so easy. Sometimes showing up to class is a waste of time but she does take attendance. She is very understanding. Loved her!

Jenn Sisk is AMAZING. I have had her for several classes and I have loved every one of them. If you read any comments that are negative it is because a student didn't take the time. She is more than willing to help you. She is a WONDERFUL person and a fantastic teacher!

Dr. Sisk is amazing! I would definitely take her class again if I could. I was in her service learning class and we have to volunteer 10 hours. She really makes sure you are volunteering with an organization you enjoy. You will not have to read books, only write papers. She is so helpful during office hours and she is committed to helping you!

Dr. Sisk is a very nice lady and cares a lot about her students. Shes a tough grader and gives little feedback but if you go to her office hours she will help you. You do have to do 10 hours of community service but she she gives plenty of time to complete it. She also allowed us to do a bake sale to make up for an hours we didnt get done.

Sick is definitely a TOUGH grader & makes you work hard for a good grade like everyone says. you mainly just write papers the whole semester, she doesn't really "teach" like a typical professor, attendance is MANDATORY she counts off your FINAL grade for missing class, 10 service hours required. Talk about a GEM! This woman is amazing. She is by far one of the BEST professors at ECU. Her class was amazing and any of the negative comments that you read are probably from students who put in little to no effort. I took her for several classes and had a BLAST. She is sweet and you can tell how much she loves her students.

Professor Sisk is a very sweet woman. She is very caring to the student who are committed to putting effort into her class. I only missed 2 days and it showed in my grade, participation also matters. She gives good feedback on papers when you go to her office hours and is extremely helpful and just a sweet lady.

MsSisk is one of those professors that is very passionate about her job and the students that she teaches. Coming to class and participating in class discussions with meaningful input is really all it takes to pass her class along with community service. You get a chance to revise all papers at the end of the course so don't stress!

I took Global Understanigs with Ms. Sisk. She is one of the nicest professors you will ever have. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her students and their success.

Jennifer Sisk was a solid professor. If you have basic writing skills and follow her rubric you will get the grade. End of the semester, she gives opportunity to revise all essays you wrote to boost your grade. Shes very easy to get ahold of, gives feedback, and zoom calls. She recognized I cared about getting an A and she raised my 88 to an A.

This is my second time having Professor Sisk for a class. She is very sweet and caring. This class does not give much homework other than short reading assignments and work related to our partnerships with foreign countries. It is a lot of fun and it is my favorite class this semester. Only downside is that she can be unorganized and hard to reach.

The whole class will be consisted of "major projects" which are essays. You spend around 2 weeks on each essay, and you submit prework, rough drafts etc. She gives good feedback and will meet with you anytime to help you. If you communicate with her and show that you are trying you will do well.

Loved this prof. If you take this class for ENGL 1100 it is a service learning class so you have to volunteer somewhere on campus or around Greenville to then do all your projects and essays about your service. It sounds hard but she is so sweet and truly cares about our community and her students and takes time to get to know everyone.

I absolutely loved Mrs. Sysk. She was so sweet and truly cared about her students. You have four major projects throughout the semester, but you also have many assignments. Overall, she is a great professor. I enjoyed the class, but I struggled to complete my assignments while also trying to get my major projects done.
