Awsome teacher, she makes the class interesting and gives examples that are easy to relate to for better comprehension of the subject.

Her notes and tests take a bit to get used to but are nothing out of the ordinary.She is always happy and enthusiastic for class and uses great examples and pictures. A great prof. overall!

Best prof i've seen so far. She made the subject matter easy to understand using her humor. Her jokes were relevant enough that you learned the material because you had her jokes in your head. Her class was the type that you wanted to go to. Her tests are fair, if you read over her notes you will have the information needed to do well.

take her 2nd year social psyc class. its a little repetitve but easy and very interesting. shes hilarious too!

Her sense of humor kept me somewhat interested during her class. Social is easy, considering it's mainly a review of Intro Psych. Going to class definitely helps, as her funny examples are easy to remember and help explain concepts. Her online lectures are also pretty hard to follow if you weren't in class to find out what she's talking about.

Holds your attention with her hilarious stories & unique voice. You can do great just studying her notes without cracking the book, but you have to go to class to supplement her online notes. They're in bulleted form online so print them off before going to class. Watch out for detail-questions on tests, but mostly straight forward from the notes.

Best Prof I've had at Dal. Always kept class interesting with her hilarious sarcasm, material was extremely interesting, and her tests were incredibly easy. You COULD not go to class and just read the notes to get a good mark, but why would you when her class is so entertaining?

Amazing Proffessor! One on my favorites at dal! You sit there and listen to her lectures and just laugh. She covers all the necessary information and makes class fun (plus keeps you awake).Her tests are a little difficult, make sure you know all of the information from your notes and books. Best professor I had this year. So interesting and entertaining, and was very knowledgeable about many areas of the course (introductory psych). I never thought of psych as interesting, and I am now majoring in it. Professor Stamp really makes the subject interesting. Her tests aren't too hard if you read the textbook and attend lectures.

Stamp Is great! She loves teaching and is super passionate about the brain and all its parts. Lots to memorize and read the book for supporting documents..just go with the slides. You can tell she's a smart women by how fast she talks but nonetheless is so interesting.

Dr. Stamp is an average professor but makes up for it in her wit and humour. I think she's more intelligent than she lets on, since she kind of dumbs down the class. One thing I don't like is that she NEVER knows the answers to any questions asked. Almost seems like she just learned what she needed to to teach the course. Good quizzes and exam.

She was awesome. Brain and Behaviour has a lot of pop quizzes so it's important to keep up in class/readings. she's my favourite prof this year. extremely helpful--i was sick from the flu and she gave me extensions without having to bug about them. really funny and loves what she teaches

She's an expert on her topics and if you do the readings, attend (really only for the videos and examples ) review them you will get an A.

Yeah so easily my absolute FAVOURITE prof and I'm not even majoring in psych. Im getting my animal behaviour certificate so I need to take some psych classes and man.. just love her! She is a hoot and a half, knows how to make her lectures fun and relates them to things that we, as students, are experiencing, and looks at the students as equals!

Great prof. Had her for Psych 1011 and 1012. Midterms are easy as long as you keep up with readings. Don't have to show up to class because of online recordings. Lectures can be boring at times but she'll crack a few jokes here and there to keep you awake. Would have her again!

Totally fair and makes life easy for you if you're willing to work hard. The exam is split into 3 exams over the semester that aren't cumulative, so if that's not the nicest thing a prof can do for you, I don't know what is.

If you see a class that's taught by Stamp take it. She is not there to hand you grades but if you really engage and study you can easily succeed. DISP could use more profs like her honestly. She seemed to be the only truly organized one and you can bet her testing is fair, she even gives hints as to what to expect in class. 10/10

Hilarious lectures that grabs your attention

While you can manage to do well in Dr. Stamp's class without attending lectures, it is worthwhile to do so, she's a very engaging professor and she really cares about whether her students understand the material or not. Very knowledgeable and approachable, and she even wrote some of the textbook she uses, amazing prof!

Professor Stamp is one of the best Psych and Neuro teachers around. She's hilarious and genuinely cares about whether or not you're learning something. For this class she went over the general concepts and ideas behind the brain and made sure you remembered them. The textbook was definitely relevant but if you didn't get it it's okay. Best Prof.

Hands down best prof in neuro/psych dept. Organized, funny as heck, prepares great lecture slides. Reading the text is a good idea. Quizzes weekly great way to boost grades. If you think your job as a student is tough, know that she does twice as much work to make your experience worthwhile! She cares - and she's really easy to talk to! A+ Prof!

The online recordings are hard to understand sound quality wise. Another tip, memorize things by heart, its mostly short answer. Textbook is a must for the quizzes. Dr. Stamp is awesome-I first had her in PSYO 1011-12 and she was the best-I took Systems Neuroscience with her in 2nd year and part of the reason I chose the class was because she was teaching it. There is reading involved with this course but the textbook is enjoyable to read and there are pictures and videos to help students better understand the material. The labs were pretty straight forward and easy to complete. There are no lectures but i feel as they are not needed because of the information given in the textbook.

Ive just finished my second course with Jenn Stamp. While an A- is my lowest grade to date, it was a really good course and she is a great prof. You just need to do the work and listen. The material is reasonable. Great online course. I always get great, detailed feedback, responses to emails, etc. every single time I contact her. Shes lovely.

I honestly took this class without realizing that neuroscience was a big part of it. Ive never been good with science but Prof. Stamp was EXTREMELY organized and the material was provided in both the reading and mini review lectures each week. She is clear about what to study for on tests and had engaging discussion board topics! 10/10 recommend!

She is fantastic at explaining things in different ways for people who might not understand the first time around, she's super kind, super organized, and you can definitely tell that she cares for what she's teaching. Definitely recommend! There is a good amount of textbook work for online class.

This is my 4th class with Stamp. I have never met a prof who who cares more about quality of teaching and students. It's clear how much the students love her. People will applaud her all the time in class. For this class, short lecture videos and readings are provided. Classes are more of a workshop style where we can do active learning.

Stamp was probably my favourite professor of first term. She made her lectures engaging (instead of reteaching the material she did "active learning" with the material assigned). Definitely do the prep work beforehand because it's worth your time! Exams were open book this term and all the questions are application-based. Textbook is free as well!

A great prof who explains things very well. I loved how the textbook was completely free and the tricky topic videos really helped with understanding. I loved the lesson overviews which explained everything that we needed to understand for each lesson. You get 2 bonus SONA points if you participate in studies. Overall really nicely organized course

Stamp is genuinely a beacon of light. She's so understanding and clearly super invested in the material. The actual class material is posted on the course Brightspace, but the lectures are "active learning" sessions that are helpful, but mostly optional. Would recommend doing the readings and watching the Tricky Topics, it makes things a lot easier

She uses a flipped classroom style for teaching; her study sessions (these replaced traditional lectures) were incredibly helpful when it came to exams; they are mostly application questions in multiple choice form. She is very humorous and easy to approach, she even sang and played guitar in lecture on the first day!

Her 3 exams are also online, open-book, and more than fair if you pay attention! She often gives helpful hints about potential exam questions during lectures. Textbook was free and online as a plus!

Probably the best prof I had first semester of my first year. All the lecture material was easy to understand and she made lectures feel fast and they were fun and engaging. Definitely take Psych in your first year if you can its the best class and Stamp is the best prof. There is also opportunity to get extra credit for the class

I mainly took this class because it was required for my degree. Her in-person lectures were pretty straightforward and her online lecture videos were pretty straightforward as well. Sometimes the videos went a little fast, but a full transcript was always provided. Exams pretty straightforward, however, be concise and specific with answers.
