Professor Vaalad is an great professor, she is very prompt with emails. I took her 352 psychopharmacology class in Summer 1 she is excellent professor. I had a question even though the course was over, but she still was prompt at replying to my email. We need more professors like her.She makes the class very interesting and worthwhile.

Fabulous professor. She made Psychology of Business and Industry (IO) so interesting!! I took her on Sunday mornings and actually enjoyed and learned from her lectures. She is top quality! I highly recommend her. Plus she works with you if you need help.

She is also very interesting with all the topics she covered, attendance is not mandatory but I atended all of them because her class was so good. Gives reveiew sheet. Very clear in lecture and wants you to get it. Slow with grading and returning papers. Got an A opened the textbook three times total.

Pr Valad is a great teacher. I have yet to take a professor as amazing as Valad. She's makes the class so interesting that even though it isn't mediatory, you still want to go. She's very passionate about her work and tells us about her personal experience as well. I got an A in her class and I absolutely will take her again.

This lady is really great, really engaging. She puts the slides up but taking notes on the side is a great idea because the definitions to what is on the slide isn't always there(just a study tip). Her exams are not hard, she drops the lowest grade and doubles your highest. Class is like a good conversation. RECOMMEND!

This professor is amazing!!! Everyone told me taking Behavioral Neuroscience was a HUGE mistake. They couldn't be more wrong. She made the class not only clear but interesting. Got an A+ but you really need to study because the material is hard core!! Recommended

Prof Valad's Neuroscience of Memory class is a blend of theory, concepts, and basic anatomical neuroscience. She wants all her students to excel and breaks everything down for you, 213w is a difficult class, as to why i gave it a 3 but she makes everything very very attainable and offers so much help in and out of the classroom. Took her for winter class, she very knowledgeable. makes the class interesting, having textbook is handy but not necessary if you know a bit about the topic. HW is easy to handle of you organize yourself, i found tests easy but some classmates found it hard. she is VERY good at remembering names, so attendance helps and so does participation.

Took Prof. Valad for the Winter. She is great and very knowledgeable. She made the lectures very interesting and interactive. There are a few homework assignments: reading and answering questions on research articles. Also, there was 1 in group assignment. based on an article. There were 3 tests that weren't difficult (just study the review sheet).

She is right off the bat an incredible teacher, and for my first hybrid class I do not regret it; she lets you know what to except on the first day. She wants you to pass, involves you in the lecture, loves your input and questions. Exams and powerpoints are online, but you still retain information if you look up answers for tests.

Shes a nice professor but her exams are worded in a very confusing way -- it seems to me as though she doesn't put too much thought into her exam questions and most questions end up having more than 1 correct choice. She is a tough grader as well. Lectures aren't mandatory but you wont pass without attending it because everything is based off that.

This professor thus far is one of the best I've encountered. She is not just intelligent but knows her stuff and is an excellent professor. Her feedback was helpful and grading very fair . Its a lot of work but everything you learn will help you with teaching.

This class is such an easy A. Attendance is not mandatory. you can past the tests by just the slides but I would recommend getting the book for a high grade. Dont bother emailing her because she never responds but she is always available during office hours and in class. She is very sweet and explains things well.

Tests are all based on what is said in her powerpoint lectures. A few easy assignments. Class was super easy and Prof. Valad is a gem. Highly recommend!!

She recorded all the lectures. There were no required texts for this class; we used Powerpoint presentations, videos and readings. The average of the 4 exams which included extra credit points was 60% of the grade, completion of in-class assignments was 10% of the grade with each assignment being 2.5% and the literature assignment was 30%.

Professor Valad is the most engaging and interesting lecturer I have ever had in the PSYCH department. She is amazing, smart, helpful, kind, funny, the list goes on. She was also so patient with students and not afraid to be real with us. Easy class with interesting material, I love performance management because of this class.

Professor Valad is the best! She is so sweet and is always willing to help! But her exams are a little tricky so be careful about that. She is the only professor that I know that wants the students to learn and not just memorize terms and regurgitate it. I recommend her but, be careful about her exams.

I truly like this professor, and I appreciate the way she imparts her knowledge to her students. The one thing I didn't like about the class is having her graduate students teach towards the end of the semester since I didn't learn anything from them, but however I appreciate every lecture she gave and her work was easy and straightforward.

The special topics class was psychology of addiction. Def. recommend for neuroscience and pre-med majors. My third class taking her. She's one of the best psychology professors at QC. The way she teaches with videos, class discussions, take-home quizzes, everything just makes you learn a lot from her class and she's very informed and knowledgeable

Class was interesting. Exams were not too hard, as long as you study a little. There were online classes once a week. Overall I would recommend this course. It was interesting that I chose psychology as my minor.

She was easy to manage since it was a big class but takes time to answer questions in class or after class, it was an online class but attendance was taken, she gives homework but is pretty easy, her exams are easy if you study and have a clear understanding of the material, good professor, would take again for this class
