DO NOT TAKE HER.CLASS! She forgets everything, barely has cohesive thoughts,& is very inconsiderate. She doesn't read her email, although she claims that's the best way to contact her,& she is never in her office for office hours. Her book is full of her opinions, & she uses very offensive language and even showed a skit about slavery to "educate"

Do NOT take. She was horrible at responding to emails, said UH after every word, didn't know what was going on 98% of the time, said some super racist remarks, and would never really teach us anything. Attendance is mandatory. She makes us buy her book for an insane amount of money and it is filled with just her opinions. STAY AWAY LOL

Jennifer is super super sweet, but I felt like I didn't learn much in the class. That might be because it was lecture- and textbook-heavy, but in general, I felt like I could've passed without going to too many lectures. Overall a fine class and a very easy A, but probably not the course for you if you're genuinely interested in learning sociology.

No reason to skip this class—it's easy but stupid. She gets off-topic, doesn't respond to emails, and starts class late. Dont take notes; just buy her textbook, do every assignment (graded even if she says not to) and write anything for participation points. Attendance is taken at the end, so being late is fine. Bad teacher but easy 100% and credit

Cannot use technology at all, had us do a last minute zoom call to review for a test by playing kahoot and displayed a preview game and thought we were playing it. Attendance is required but you don't learn anything in the lectures and she makes you pay for a 100 dollar text book that she wrote. A nice lady but is not very good at teaching

Easy A to be honest, just use the class as a study hall and only lock in for the one test she gives and do all of the work she gives and you'll be fine.

horrible professor. she is completely disorganized & generally is wrong. she doesn't actually teach anything, and what she does "teach" is her own work. she's made many offensive and racist remarks in class. she explicitly told me that she enjoys making her students uncomfortable & uses students to make points about sexual topics.

Does not respond to emails or is barely in office hours, but the class is very easy, just do the work for the class and you"ll be fine. Also, show up to class as attendance is marked as points but you"ll "learn stuff" that you might know so honestly use it as a study hall or complete the online work that is given during the class period.

Took for a gen-ed, wouldn't recommend. She wrote the textbook, so everything is based off of her opinions. Completely sexualized everything . Asked us to brainstorm an object in our dorm/apartment we could use to cause a miscarriage. Exams are nothing like what we cover in class. Overall annoying class and completely inappropriate.

Class is easy if you put in the work. Professor does drag responding to emails. Prepare to pay $105 for her online textbook we barely use for assignments. Tests are based off her opinion so you have to study as well. You dont have to go to class everyday but you may fall behind. Take the class if you want but know what you are walking into.

Very kind teacher, although some remarks are questionable. Attendance was technically mandatory but only a google form was sent out which could be filled out anywhere.. Easy A. Didn't respond to emails so had to catch her after class. Midterm and finals on scantron in person. TAs were very nice and always helped out via in person and email!
