She is very, very easy. If you need a GPA booster take this class. Just make sure you complete your project.

Fun Class, and easy as long as you do what you need to do.

She should be a kindergarten teacher! She is extremely energetic. During one class, she kneeled down and prayed to the "comm. gods" Talk about strange. But she is pretty nice.

Alex was a great teacher. Anyone who can take one of her classes should.

Alex is, as put in the words of a fellow classmate, "the Hottest". She is a really great teacher and she will help you to the ends of the earth if you have any problems.

Alex's Com 141 class is somewhat life altering. I adivise all who are capable of taking it to do so. Not only is the experience rewarding in and of itself, but Alex keeps things lively and entertaining. Thanks, Alex, for this class.

Alex is very energetic, and she makes lecture fun and interesting. Her TA's also do a great job of teaching the course material in lab! Easy class if you fill in your handbook, go to lecture and study for quizzes.

Alex is an amazing teacher. You have to make sure to stay with your work and pay attention but her class has been very rewarding for me.

Alex is the coolest teacher. She is fun and energetic. She will challenge you but not in a bad way. It's not too hard. You'll get good grades if you apply your self. Jenny is nice and very understanding. Also very helpful. Definately take her classes.

She's a good professor, but sometimes she's a little "out there" and the stuff she teaches is incomplete.

Alex is GREAT! She is really excitable but that's bc she LOVES what she does! I wish every prof I was like that. Very helpful and willing to work with her students. She does stick to her policies, which is good! She is just fantastic along with her TA's!

Alex is very down to earth and her class was so much fun. She is not fake, she is just communicates in her own unique style. She is fun loving. I highly recommend her.I am not a communications major, but her class made me think about changing my major.

Alex is exeptional. Her 141 was the most enjoyable class I have taken in years. It is an easy A if you go to class and do the work.

Alex was a great COM prof! Besides the course being a piece of cake, in essence, she made it a fun class to come to every few times a week. I wish I could take her for all my COM courses!

I liked Alex. Even though I did think the class was really easy, she made it fun. I enjoyed it. Maybe if I need another elective later I'll take another one of her classes.

Great Great teacher. She definatly is full of energy and she reflects that well on teh students. I take this class at 8:30 in the morning and she grasp my attention.Very easy class. Quiz questions can be confusing.

Taken her for a lot of classes. Great person, good teacher. She is not that easy. Never claims to be. Tests can be hard and confusing. A Lot of group work in 141. She has you fend for yourself most of the time in that class. She's easy to listen to but classes can be boring and rehash

I learned so much in this class and Alex is an effective and enthusiastic teacher. I can apply what I learned from this class to any career, but I'm thinking more about a career in health communication now that I took this class. She is very knowledgeable and she practices what she preaches. A+++

Alex is very nice and sweet, and definitely knows what she's doing. If you want to enjoy a class, have fun, and actually learn something,take her.

Alex is a GREAT professor, you can tell she loves her job! Class is never boring, she keeps you interested from the time you walk in the door until you leave. After taking this class you will learn concepts that you have no choice but apply to your everyday class. Com 102 is a great class with an even better professor!

alex is fun to talk to...there is a LOT of group work, some of which is a little childish, but the class is super easy....never has another woman been so interested in people....she is also very accepting of everyone

She's a fantastic teacher and a great person to know in general. I thought most of the course content fell into one of two categories: general knowledge and utter bulls***. But Alex is such a vibrant personality she really made the classes fun anyway.

Great community service class, but so much of the grade was tied up in a group project, that I have my doubts about how much I learned about small group communication. I guess the success/failure of the project can say something about the quality of the group's communication and it was a very "real world" test, so it was refreshing. As much fun as the class was, I'm not sure how much I actually learned.

Alex wouldn't drop someone's letter grade after being in the HOSPITAL for 2 wks. She would give an incomplete. There must have been other factors. I worked with Alex and she truly cares about her students, and she follows the rules. She's not inconsistent. If you like to try to get away with things, don't try it w/ her. Her job is to teach

Knows her material and can teach in a way for the student to understand. A very enjoyable class. An instructor who enjoys what she does and it shows.

If you dont already know, Alex is one of the best professors at WSU. Take her for everything you can. It isnt and "easy A" but it is very enjoyable and easy if you go to class.

Alex is like sunshine in human form. She was very clear about what we needed to do and as long as you go to class and study the handbook you'll get an A.

What a refreshing thing to see a prof excited about the subject that they teach! An amazing ammount of integrity and just an all around good example of what a teacher should be! Very fair and super encouraging! TAKE HER CLASS! ! ! !

best teacher ive ever had

very upbeat lady, reminds me of cheri oteri in both looks and demeanor. tests can be a bit tricky but they arent hard, and you'll spend most of the time in your labs(the TA's are awesome too) which is a real good thing. you shouldnt have any problems in this class, unless of course you dont show up.

Very easy class and it is very fun, not much lecture. The speaking presentations are reading a story and telling a story. First test was very simple, the second was a bit harder. I got a B with not much effort.

She is an awesome teacher and keeps things interesting. i was never bored in her lecture. however, she is a bit of an attention hog and tried a little too hard to be entertaining.

Like someone else said, she tries a little to hard to be entertaining. But her lectures are interesting and this is an easy class. Overall she is one of the better professors you are likely to have here at WSU. Easy A if you study for the quizzes and do the papers.

Although I got a C in her class, she's one of the best I've worked with. It always semes that she and I could work through any issue with a class. She's very considerate as well.

Alex loves what she does and took an active role in helping us learn the material. I liked how she was extremely professional but also very personal and human. I wish more professors cared like she does. Definitely the best I have taken at WSU

This was such an easy class- read stories- come on easy A!!! She made class fun and exciting to attend! If you ever get the chance to take her- do so! Love the class and the teacher!!! And would definitely take her again.

Alex loves what she does, and it shows. She's funny, captivating, interactive, and overall just a wonderful prof. She relates to her class and shapes her lessons based on the class' needs and communication deficiencies. Takes what is often very dull subject matter and makes it relavent and interesting.

Alex only teaches 1 class a week out of 3. You have a GA that does the speech portion of the class. Basically you do 3 speeches. All quizzes are online. I didn't even get the book and got an A in the class. Easy course thought monsterously boring.

I learned a lot from Alex this quarter. She had some health issues that required some changes but they were always clearly communicated. I think it was nice of her to teach classes for a sick professor. I had trouble choosing a book for my presentation and she gave me excellent advice. I hope I can take her again

I am an education major. I like the way Alex teaches because she is very personal in her approach. I feel bad for her that she got sick this quarter and had to make changes, but they were always clear. She is one of the best teachers I have ever had because she is knowledgeable, but more importantly, she cares about us - the students

Fascinating material. This was my favorite class. The book is used for the tests, but she gives you a very thorough study guide.

Lecture is interesting but useless, all exams are online, very energetic but can be annoying

easy class and good information for future teachers. alex was great and really cared about our students..always took time at the beginning of classs to check in with us and see how we were doing. quizzes are easy too as long as you just pay attention in class. would greatly recommend her and this class!

She is one of the best profs that I have had. She has a true love and desire to teach. She wants you to learn too. She is one of the kindest and sweetest ladies that I know. She has a desire to know every student. Don't miss a chance to take her class. The information is also enjoyable. I never wanted to miss class.

Alex is a great professor who is obviously very passionate about the topic. She tries her beset to make her students feel this passion too, although it is a rather boring and scary subject (three speeches). Online quizzes based on book which is kind of tough because you never once open the book for the class itself.

heres the deal: 3 speeches, 3 reflection papers on speeches, 3 online quizzes, and a final. she is very nice and helpful. lots of energy. speeches are not very difficult, (they are difficult if you dont like public speaking) but u do need to research and prepare well to get a good grade. quizzes aren't very hard either.

Alex held us to high standards of communication. I didn't get a high grade on my first speech and it made me mad at first but then I stepped up to the plate and did what I needed to do to change my bad habits. I read some of the whiny comments from people who obviously didn't get the point. Haters. Don't take her class if you aren't prepared to

I am a business major and am in her class right now. I have had several questions and she answers emails immediately. Got my first presentation back and I could have done better but she gave very precise feedback. My statistics professor has not answered any of my emails and gave back our first test with only a grade. Alex needs to teach him.

Professor Alexander has invested incredible time with me so far. I emailed her over the weekend with my presentation outline and she emailed me back right away. She met with me outside of her office hours today and she also gave me feedback on my revisions via email after our meeting. I appreciate that she is most willing to help.

If you are taking Com 203 you must go and talk to Professor Alexander about your speeches before you give them. She will correct any errors on them and you will surely receive an "A" on the content part of your speech. She helped me and I pulled an "A".

She stays after class to help students. You need to put effort into this class. Gives great advice.

She was a great teacher. A little hyper though but it makes it fun!

Alex is an overall good professor and is very knowledgable in the field. She can sometimes be unclear about speeches and what they are about but she makes up for it with providing you structure and placing you in groups. The class isn't easy, but that has nothing to do with her. I definitely reccomend her for whoever needs to take this course.

So nice and funny! I took this class for my own benefit, and I really enjoyed it. We had technical difficulties with CATS with my speech videos, and she was super understanding and helpful. She really seemed to listen and I look forward to taking another class with her.

I hate making speeches, and I'm really bad at it. I know this, thus I took this class to get better. I did get better! I even got an A on one of my speeches, which is really an accomplishment for me! She's really understanding of the nervousness that people get when making speeches and tries different in class activities to help you get over it

Class time was pointless and didn't prepare me for my speeches. Work load was a bit much for a 3 credit hr class and if you do not email her all the time and get on her good side she is a rough grader. Wouldn't recommend.

Personally, I loved having her as a teacher. She is beautiful and extremely nice. Despite me completely failing at my first presentation, she did not grade me to harshly.

Alex was so helpful in preparing us for the three presentations we had. Coming into class I hated public speaking but Alex is understanding helps you move past that.Shes always willing to help.

This class was online and very difficult to keep up. It was alot of homework but at least the assignments were interesting

Alex is a great professor! She is very clear with class assignments and instructions. Make sure to attend class and work as a TEAM to do well on the 3 presentations! Tests are easy if you read the chapters and you get to choose your groups, so choose wisely!

I love Alex!! She is one of the nicest, sweetest professors I have ever had and she is extremely supportive and helpful. There are four speeches in the class and if you don't do one you automatically fail - but they're really not that scary once you know what to do. If you have to take COM 1010, definitely take one of Alex's sections!!

She likes going by Alex, she's a sweetheart! You have to submit weekly progress reports which can be annoying but it barely takes time out of your day. There are several presentations as well as exams which are not super easy but there's many other ways to earn a good grade. She is enthusiastic and has great energy! Definitely take her!!!

She is an awesome professor and has a genuine interest in people. I have noticed that the students who slack don't like her as much as the others. She grades fairly, explains what to do (and not do), and gives tons of examples. I work, and what she taught me made a big difference at work. You will get what you put into her classes.

Alex made learning interesting and fun. We watched and analyzed movies (Crash and Patch Adams). I wish more teacher used movies. It helped me learn a lot. I didn't understand something, so I went and talked to her in her office. She took plenty of time with me. I wish more teachers actually cared. Alex is the best professor I have ever had

She gives great directions and is a wonderful teacher and person, but is a really tough grader.

My favorite professor in the department. I was surprised to hear how many people don't like her. I like how hands-on her classes feel. Everything in her classes intentionally build towards the big picture. I can't think of another professor who does that. Follow directions, you'll do fine. She avoids droning lectures and pointless discussions.

Alex is a great teacher, I really enjoyed her class. She is a tough grader though so beware of that. The class is 98% group work and will really teach to work effectively in a group. Was a very beneficial class and I would take another class with her. She will help in any way she can, and is quick to respond to emails and is very available.

Easy online quizzes open book, same with exam. Grades speeches easily at first then more difficult. Super peppy and smiley so you have to get used to her personality but she is always there for you and always offering office times. Easy A/B if you put a little bit of effort into your speech and follow criteria. Has extra credit every class period.

Alex is a really good professor! She will help you whenever you need it. Class is mandatory but she makes it worth while to be there. Always smiling and making jokes. I had Coms2020 from 3:30-4:50pm but she made it not suck. Would take any of her classes!

She is the best! Highly recommended. her teaching methods are really good. Her exams are easy. you must do the assignment the exact way she till you. and she is very clear explaining what she wants.

I enjoyed being in her class, this was my first and only coms class, and she is very hands on, and active learner. She tells you exactly what is expected of you. Show up to class too!

Weekly quizzes based on readings so yes book is required. 1 discussion post, a midterm paper, and final paper. The quizzes are easy if you take it with the book and review the material a bit before taking it(they are timed) and you will not get your grade on the papers back fast.

She's good at communicating and being clear about what she expects. She responds relatively quickly to emails and is always personable. As for the class itself, it's an easy class imo. Read the chapters before you do the quizzes. I failed to do so and despite never getting below a 95% on the speeches themselves, I got a B in the class.

Better in class than online! She is so inspiring and a great communicator. Has a set way of teaching that works for all. She truly cares for each of us and is so nice and BEAUTIFUL

Liked the class learned ALOT, prepare to show up every class meeting or you won't do well. It is all group work.

Alex is honestly not only the best professor I've ever had, but she's also my favorite professor I've ever had! She is so caring and so down to earth. She makes class interesting and entertaining. You don't even realize how much you're learning. She gets you prepared for your presentations. I'm really going to miss not having her class anymore.

I thought I would hate the class because it was required and I did not want to take it but I actually learned a lot and had a great amount of fun too! I would take Alex again for a class in a heart beat!
