Great professor.

People studying law seemed to like her a lot. At first I didn't think I would, but eventually she grew on me a lil more. She makes you work for the A, and I think most (if not all) of her classes require service learning hours.

I wish all my future teachers can be like her. She was very nice, and not to mention Very Helpful. Always willing to give you extra credits so your grades can go up.

Her teashing skills are suburb. She has excellent communications skills and takes time to go over things and answer questions. There are many asignments, but no test. Definitely the best professor I have had at Miami-Dade.

I love this lady. She's so cool and she's one of those professors who you can go and talk to if you are having problems in her class. She's easy to relate to and although the class isn't hard, she'll give tests to make sure you've read the book. Just read, show up to class, and give her feedback and you'll get a good grade.

Excellent professor. Her teaching is unique in that u will not just learn from the book or just lecturing. She is experienced, professional and fun.

this lady is a total professional. She is very structured, organized, fair, stays on topic, understanding,flexible, punctual. She is a great teacher; she makes it fun and interesting to learn. Warning though....she is not a pushover either, so stay on point.

Prof. Cuevas is AWESOME. Her class is fun and very interactive, the material is pretty easy - pay attention during lectures you will do well. There are a lot of fun projects as well as the Aspira Pathways to College program which she sponsors. Thanks to her I won a scholarship & was given opportunities to speak at law/ethics conferences. LOVE HER!

Professor Cuevas is a wonderful teacher. You have to do alot of work, she assigns alot of projects but she makes you want to come to class. She makes the class very interesting. Not a push over at all so dont try it. Pay attention and you should have no problems. All the material on her exams are covered during class.

What can I say about Porf. Cuevas???? She is the BEST BUL teacher in DADE period....she makes class fun by doing skits about the things we learn(we had a blast doing the discriminations skits)....she makes you understand things and she actually wants you to learn...I strongly recommend her...

Very good teacher. She is prepared, intelligent, and engaging. Very easy class if you actually come to class. Took it in a six week summer course so there was a lot of homework and projects but none of them was anything out of this world. She pretty much gives you the answers (or where to find them in the book) to the homework problems. Easy A.

Teacher is great she was my first professor in college and she motivated me. I was a bit turned off by her attitude at first but what to expect she is a lawyer lol. It's much better to take pla2003 and bul2241 together because they teach the same lessons.

This professor is the best took her for fundamental,bul 1 and bul 2 great professor class is fun love the way she makes you leant to learn and by the way I received A's in all 3 and she finds you jobs if she sees your motivated she will help you find work. Way to go Cuevas

Cuevas is the best that all I have to saw she gives assignments but their fun and you will learn she doesnt give as much work in bul 2242 as she do in the other classes but shes the bomb fun keep you learning the things you need. oh yeah she has an attitude but what female professor doesnt just do your work and you will be fine

I took BUL2241 online with her, BUL2242 & Ethics were both in class. She is amazing, I definitely learned a lot in all 3 courses, I got A+ in each & best of all she makes her class entertaining. I'd take another class with her again if I had the opportunity. I highly recommend her to everyone!

Absolutely love her!I took her online class for Bussines Law and was extremelly easy, ofcourse you got to do the work on time and she answers all kinds of questions before you know it!!! she ask for a proctored midterm exam.

Great Teacher, and a awesome first experience into the legal program. She said it in the first class "Pay Attention, I dont like to repeat myself" If you do that, everything else will fall into place and you will pass. She also gives extra credit opportunities!

You will never hear somebody talking badly about Prof. Cuevas. NEVER. Honestly, she really understands every student and she puts herself in your shoes. You will learn A LOT in her class and she uses a different method of teaching (not the regular read and test, read and test) she actually involves you in the class. I'm so glad I had her as a teach

AMAZING PROF. I had her for the summer 6 week course,she is the sweetest professor. You will learn a lot in her class. She really is a skilled professor. I walked in scared to learn about Business Law 1, and I have to be honest, her style of teaching is amazing! It sinks in. I was able to understand all the material, as intimidating at it was. Attendance is mandatory, however she is willing to work with you if you have a documented emergency. Dont walk in late!

Best professor in the entire Law department of MDC! Perhaps all of MDC period. Such a great person and professor. Really cares about her students. Definitely recommend taking her. I have taken her for PLA2003, BUL2241, and I am now taking her for BUL2242.

CUEVAS IS AMAZING! You will always have an assignment due every class but its mostly easy group work. Her teaching method is easy. Her voice is a bit annoying but get over it. Study for the tests and you'll be fine. She loves presentations. At first I though this class was going to be hard. It ended up being my favorite class.

Had her for Busniess Law I and II and both times were amazing! She gives her lectures and uses her life experiences so we really understand the material. She loves group work and she doesn't give a traditional midtermfinal, instead she uses projects. She's really amazing!!

Although i hate presentations with a passion, this class was worth it and you learn. I would definitely take her again. Be prepared for class and she loves participation. Very easy to pass.

Amazing teacher! At first, I wasn't sure about her teaching style by all the group projects and group participation, but it really made a difference! She made it easy to remember the material and made the class interesting with her real-life stories when she practiced law. Definitely will take her again in the future!

Not usual teacher! Read and learn, lots of group projects. Just amazing, with groups you teach each other and never forget all those powerpoints and work you put in it. No lectures. She guides you. Lots of experience grades very good. BOOK NEEDED! (but which law class doesn't need a book??)

Love love love this professor. I took her online for BUL2241 and had the pleasure of taking her in class for BUL2242. I think by far my favorite class. There are alot of presentations, however, after the initial fear of presenting, you start getting more comfortable. She gives feedback on your work. Very Nice! TAKE HER FOR SURE!!!

Pretty slack overall, but heavy on essays. Really helps you with that aspect of your college application.

Professor Cuevas is a rare gem. She is really kind, an overall brain. As others have said, she may seem a bit intimidating at first, but she really isn't. You just have to get to know her. If you work hard, it will show. She gives back really helpful feedback on assignments when she hands it back to you. A lot of group projects too. She is great!

I've had this professor for both Business Law I (online), Business Law II and Ethics seminar so far and I could honestly not ask for a better professor. This professor is caring, will give you good advice, will teach you and just be awesome all semester. I loved every class with her and if you pay attention you learn! You must participate!

Get read before the class an answer her questions, group project for grades, no final test, never miss a day so you will never get lost on her class! Amazing teacher, she's very intelligent, smart and know really well how to teach on a different way. I totally enjoyed professor cuevas. Shes very laid back. I was not overwhelmed with work during the semester. She expects you to participate and does a lot of hands on learning very interactive learning. She grades very fairly. Shes super nice and funny. Take this professor without a doubt.

She is one of the most laid back law professors. When I took her for the first time for fund. of law I was shocked that she did not do exams,but relieved at the same time. You do have to participate in class, do MindTap assignment, and projects to makeup for there being no exams. Overall, take her you won't regret it one bit!

50% of your grade is Cengage assignments, 30% proctored midterm and 8 discussions worth 20%. She did offer an extra credit Dropbox essay assignment that offered up to 20 points on your midterm. There was also an extra discussion post that was worth 5 extra points on your grade. Study the textbook and the power points and you will pass. She's great!

Prof. Cuevas online 2241 class was interesting and I learned alot. There were issues in that class due to the online department outside of her control. She addressed the issues. I read, I did the work and studied for the exam. She does not accept late projects, but if you plan to meet the deadlines you will learn and do well in class.

I had Prof. Cuevas for several courses while in the Miami-Dade College Paralegal program. She is caring and wants to see your success.

The online class is dense but well prepared. If you stay on top of your assignments and do the required work there is no reason to pass this class.

You have to do your part, and the class will be easy for you. She gives you all the homework and classwork at the beginning of the semester.
