Ok, so she is a good teacher, but there is a lot of work! 4 speeches with full blown outlines and research. She is really helpful but its pretty ridiculous for a 100 level class. They really go overboard. Technically she's a grad assistant that teaches labs but she is really tough on grading so be on your game and don't expect that it will be easy

She's the lab instructor, not lecture professor. She's very nice but is serious business when needs to be. She does grade the outlines very specifically so make sure you do them in the right formatting. She makes the class more bearable, especially if you don't like public speaking. She understands people get nervous. Great class though!

Farrell is a tough grader. She expects to much out of 101 students and grades unfair. She tells you what you need to work on in your speeches, but once you correct it, she still gives you a poor grade. She seems really nice, but I believe that it's all an act. I highly recommend a different com professor.

This might be perhaps the worst instructor I've had within my 3 years here at UNLV. Farrell's grading is ridiculous and you couldn't really get any help through her. Overall, I think a different professor would have been suiting. I guess she forgets that she's just a grad assistant and it's only a 100 level class.

Don't listen to the bad ratings complaining about her being a tough teacher. She expects you to come to class, pay attention, and do the work. Isn't that the definition of being a student? Jenny is cool. She has a pretty lenient personality but she definitely knows what she doesn't like her classes to do. Easy and straightforward professor. Communicates expectations clearly. 4 tests and 3 assignments.
