Jenny is the sweetest teacher ever, but will put the smack down on you if you plagarise, write an essay with out plagarizing then you will do fine. She will help you if you need it, I wish she would teach 102, 103 MJC needs good teachers. She is the best!

SUPER cool, I suggest taking her, she is AWESOME as a teacher and a person, one thing I MUST stress, take the time to do the work it's in your best interest. Good luck
Hot! Hot! Hot! i could Hardly pay attention in Class. O ya she really knows her stuff and is Quite Caring.
She thinks shes all that and tries to act young. I learnd nuthin as you can se.
Very good teacher. She takes her time in helping you understand every detail about an assignment. She gives plenty of examples. Shes kinda weird but very sweet. Shes the best english teacher in the campus.
Jenny is one of the coolest instructors you'll ever havein your college experience. She does expect you to do the work and do it well, however she will do everything in her power to help you succeed. She is also a nice looking lady which helps. Take her.
I totally dislike her! She is NOT a good professor AT ALL.
Good teacher but VERY HARD class. If you are highly disciplined, organized, and already a pretty good writer, then this is the class for you. If you are lazy, not a very good writer, and think all you need to do is just enough to get by, you'll fail.
What a flaming ****! I absolutely found her to be the most unkind woman there ever was. She was constantly angry, and she took it out on the class. God was she awful!!!
i loved this teacher she had a sense of humor and made the class very enjoyable. If you do your work then you will pass the class.
I LOVE HER! I came to class on time every day, did all my homework, participated in class, and listened to everything going on in class. Totally terrific!
If you are an immature High “schooler” wanting to play sophomoric games and finger paint, take her class. If you really care to gain some knowledge, take her husband's class.

I LOVE her!!! She is soooo AWESOME. I thought her class was HELLA easy. As long as u do what she says u will do good. I didnt even really have 2 try. She is SUPER funny. She hella made me laugh. She is my 2nd favorite teacher at MJC.

Great Class. I think she takes a great approach to teaching Eng 101. One of my favorite teachers.
Mrs. NETTO ROCKS!!!!!! I enjoy her class and I cant wait to take english 101
i didn't like this class much...but maybe it's because the subject isn't very interesting and it wasn't presented in a clear way
Mrs. Netto has made English a fun class to take. She makes you get motivated to do work in this class. Git R' Done
This was an easy class if you apply what u learned to your assingnments
yo netto ..........thanks for putting up with my**** u a bad ass teach ...thanks for keeping me dawg .....ur a homie lol ....dont mess with the best
Very cool and very funny. Teaches Folklore with Dr. Manner and they work great together. Super nice, and a good lookin' professor. Class is an easy A, and easy on the eyes, can it get better?
I took this class online and it was pretty simple; only 4 essays due the whole semester. Discussions and mini quizzes due every now and then. I didn't get a good grade but it was my fault for missing deadlines. I heard she has a reputation for being a cool and easy instructor.
very good teacher. very helpfull and makes class fun.
She thinks she is so funny. Every time she says anything she laughs afterwards. Very cocky.
Definitely plays favorites! In a group activity I and my friend got different scores for the essay that we wrote together. All identical stuff.!!But she got a higher score than me.Simply Unbelievable!!
she's freaking funny i loved her class it flew by
She is okay for a teacher, but if you plan to take her for English 103, please take her for 101 as well. Otherwise do not take the class for 103 because she expects certain things that other teachers may have not taught you. She does play favorites in the class, so beware.
took Netto's Eng. 101 online this summer and she was very helpful/wonderful teacher, really wants you to pass so she helps as much as possible/gives examples with what she wants. 5 essays required this is plus final/10 mini tests (not too hard) a good class to take over summer/ausome tchr/very nice/my best tchr yet so far.
looks and acts exactly like Elaine from Seinfield; this is not meant negatively, the class is pretty laid back and she has creative/unorthodox ways of going about teaching assignments/MLA format, etc. One of the easiest english teachers ever, unless you suck at writing, and if you do, go take English 90
great teacher! she's interesting and tells a lot of stories. she doesn't grade hard as long as you do the assignments and use proper grammar. she doesn't like grammar mistakes! take her. she makes english fun and interesting! she uses the textbook for hw, so buy it. she has funny views about things but don't take it offensively. she's very sarcasti
you only have to write four 1,000 word essays (1 will be dropped) and take 10 two point quizzes. there is an in-class final (2 hours) regarding the short book you must read but its a breeze. i earned an easy A and as long as you do the work, you will too!!
really funny, a awesome choice for english 101
She is not a very hard teacher but also not helpful.Answers are short and rude.Dosen't seem interested in teaching you and seems almost annoyed for you bothering her.Her class is not hard but her ego is. I suspect if you are the type to stroke egos you would do well but if you really want to learn something shop around.Has favorites. Hope your one.
This teacher is great, well, as long as you are not a lazy kid in the back of the class texting. So loves to joke around and keep things as fun as english can be. I haven't recieve an A in english since junior high, but with her guidence i did it with almost ease. She is smoking hot, her picture is bad though. Eye Candy to the point of distracting
Hot?Hmmm maybe to someone older not ugly though.Easy class. Plays favorites. Could do better in a teacher. Try Alameda.
Jenny was the first person who i ever let read my personal poetry journal, and she encouraged me to enter in the Celebration of the Humanities contest. My poem won 1st place that year. she's the reason why i have succeeded with writing and i love her. she also wears red lipstick. :)
Jenny Netto has been awesome so far. She has been prompt in answering any questions students might have. I love her class so far and expect to get an A in the class, it is that easy.
She was pretty nice until I had problems with my essay. I work nights and couldn't submit it and had to wait for the online help desk, despite the fact I presented her with emails as proof, she completely overlooked it and got really rude when I tried to reason. Ridiculously unsympathetic to a legit plight, would NOT reccomend.
I am taking her class online and for some odd reason she couldn't open my second essay even though it was in the same format as the first one. She refused to grade it, even though I turned it in on time, and has given me very short and rude answers, when asking how it'll effect my grade ect. She doesnt care if her students succeed. DON'T TAKE!!
omg, horrible. all sorts of problems on the online forum and she overlooks all of them, got EXTREMELY rude answers when i tried to ask her how to do something, not sure if this is a bad semester or what but she obviously doesn't care if her students succeed or fail, just NO MISTAKES!!! (although there are several mistakes on her website)
she is very helpful. she makes english fun. she is so funny and the things we do in class are so easy, it almost feels like high school again. Netto is a fun teacher and the grading is easy...so far she is the easiest english teacher ive taken. I REALLY RECOMMEND HER FOR AN EASY ENG 101 CLASS! =]
At first I did not like her, I had a lot of problems with her online class and at the time she seemed very cold. Since then, she has been very nice and her class really isn't that hard, but if you take her, don't do it online!
The actual class work isnt bad, but you need to do work, not so much homework but the more stamps the better. But when it comes to her, no doubt in my mind she picks favorites! If you ask for help, shes most likely going to tell you, "She can't do this right now, just take it home and figure it out." Well at least thats what she did for me...
Hella easy! If you want an Easy A take this teacher....
I don't know how she runs her class on campus, but she does a horrible job online. Unlucky is the student who makes a mistake or does not understand how to read/ access certain suggested tools for success. Im sure this had to do with the fact that her web page has assignements, due dates, and feedback in all sorts of random places. What a waste.
I just finished my fall semester with Mrs. Netto and I have to say that I really enjoyed having her as a prof. She was prompt with grading and whenever I had a question she responding quickly to it. In fact I will be in another one of her english classes for summer semester.
I think that Jenny is a great English intstructor. She's funny and very personable. You don't feel intimidated by her like you do with other instructors. Her class is easy, and she's fair in her grading.
I have had Jenny both online and in class, and I find that she has a great sense of humor and is very helpful to her students, as long as they show that they want her help........This is college and not high school, students have to take some responsiblility for themselves.
Netto kicks ass. you do the homework, right or not you get full points for it. no tests, just 3 in class essays and a research paper. good grammer and you will get an A in the class. Easily distracted so if you are bored then ask her what she did over the weekend and she will forget to lecture.
I took this class online. I really hated it at first and was confused on the purpose of hte assignments. At the end, it all comes together. I would recomend to take her, just be patient.
Took Netto in Spring of 2007. She is a great teacher, there are quizzes but they are easy. If I remember correctly there were only like 3 essays and then a final research essay which wasn't too hard. Shes funny in a weird way.. just go to class and listen to lectures..in the end you will learn to write better.
I took her English 172 class online on Fall 2008. I can say that this was a fairly easy class that involved a lot of interesting reading. As far as communication with the professor, she would respond relatively fast to the e-mails. There were only 4 essay tests during the semester and no final exam.I really enjoyed this class; I got A+!!!
Took the course only in Summer 2009. Great teacher and course. Easy as long as you read and remember the deadlines for postings. There is no allowance for missed assignments so be on time
This is a very fair and helpful instructor.
This class in pretty easy. I took it online and the only negative thing I have to say is that she can be vague on her instructions sometime. If you submitted wrong oh well. She won't change anything or let you turn in things late. You have to be really good in grammar to. This is probably the easiest English class ever.
kinda easy class you have to write a 600 word essay after every movie but thats not that bad test weren't that bad leading up to the final test which was a bit hard there were too many questions about that stupid movie citizen kane, but other than that the class is pretty simple the teacher can be a little crazy sometimes but shes nice and it keeps
awesome teacher. I am not a fan of English classes but she made it a breeze.
This is the first time I had read the entire text book! Over all she is really easy but there is a lot of reading required (don't take her and her husband @the same time or you will read every waking moment). I took online and she was always quick to respond to all questions presented. I would take her again if I needed more English classes.
This was my first time taking an online course. If this is your first online course, I recommend taking it with another teacher. I had trouble with mac/Bb assignments making it in MLA format. Although my assignments were in on time and I communicated with her each step of the way, she refused to work with me. Not much of a teacher in my opinion
had her for english 161 which is film appreciation, and just now finished taking her english 101 online course, she is very helpful and straightforwar with assignments. if you do the work you will pass. great teacher would definately recommend her to friends
All I care about i that she is Hot Hot hot Hot Hot. I don't care about the class.
She is an amazing teacher, funny, and all she wants is for you to complete the class and do the assignments. Great teacher.
I took an online class, so this won't apply to everything. The assignments were somewhat unguided but easy. For this class, it was mostly reading and short discussion points with vague and/or disgustingly easy prompts. Don't get me wrong: everyone learned, but the instructor just seemed a bit distant. This class would've been better in person.
I loved this class and jenny. she is funny and helpful but dont be an idiot around her, she likes intellegence. and for crying out loud-STAPLE YOUR PAPERS AND SPELL HER NAME CORRECTLY!! I would take more classes from her if I could. It was a great experience and really improved my writing skills.
An easy class. If you did well in high school english, this class will be a breeze. Showing up to class was unexciting, however. It seemed much of the students as well as Jenny herself didn't want to be there. Honestly, I saw no point in going to class at all. Would have been better off taking the online course. DON'T BUY THE BOOK, didn't use it.
I took this class online and it was very easy. Lots of reading and an interesting subject. A straight forward syllabus which followed the same format every week. i also took eng 172 with her online at the same time.
Took this class over the summer of 2012. Professor Netto is extremely generous and understanding and wants to help you succeed. As long as you go to class and complete the assignments you will surely be passed. Highly Recommended.
Amazing teacher. She is very helpful. As long as you can read and write properly you will do fine in her class. She will call you out though so don't be a dumba** and you'll do fine
Mrs's Netto is decent in her teaching abilities. However, I found it incredibly disrespectful of her to dismiss class early, every single day during my five week summer class with her. Not a few minutes early, more like an HOUR AND A HALF early. She should have a lesson plan that spreads the WHOLE two and a half hour class.
Netto was very enjoyable and down-to-earth. I Liked her a lot. A 5 week summer Eng 101 class can't get much easier - only 3 1k word essays, and a final. She was very vague about what she wanted, but lenient grading made up for it. As mentioned before, class was dismissed much too early. I wish she would have used that time to cover more material.
Very good teacher. Always explained things to you, no matter how long it took. On the first day of class, she said "Float with me on down the river. It's going to be easy if you just go with the flow." She couldn't have been more right. The workload was pretty fair, I'd have to say. Just the right amount for a college class.
Definitely happy I chose this teacher for english 101, she is delightful and tends to her students needs. It can be a challenge to those who refuse to show up, but if you simply come to class and follow directions this class is a breeze! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Professor Netto is just one of those that lights up the room. She is always a smile and laughing and takes all the time we need to get things right. I always looked forward to the class because of her and how we did the actual writing and reading together it made things easier. She likes coffee and movies.
A great teacher with straight forward expectations. Her syllabus is 100% accurate. I definitely recommend.
She is not helpful at all. Her answer to my question was, “go read your prompt” or “ go figure it out”. She gave me 15/20 on my first essay, then I edited my essay and fixed my mistakes, but I got 8/20 on the second one. When I asked why, Her response was,” do you want me to deduct points from your first essay too” she is unreasonable.
Prof. Netto is awesome! She wants you to do well and will do anything she can to help. She is tough on the slackers but that is because everything is so clear. She's funny, happy, and excited all the time. The class is fun and I will miss starting my day with her.
Jenny is AWESOME. This class is so easy, follow her instructions, do the work she assigns for stamps. At the end of the semester she'll just count up the stamps. The class is out of 100 points, nothing ridiculous like other teachers. She's clear, helpful, extremely nice and sweet and a little witty. English 101 with her is a breeze.
Mrs. Netto has to be the best English teacher ever. She divided up the big papers into small homework so there was no stress. Class was fun everyday. She laughed and made jokes always. She is sarcastic but in a good way and all the guys were in love with her. Take her or her husband.
The class I took was online so there wasn't much interaction with the teacher. All the instructions were clear and there was little to no confusion.
Very tough on essay, no remorse and give you negative feedback.
She talks more about her daily life and if talk and ask a question she gets pissed .she don't like non English speaker and always make you down for language problems she is very tough grader she make me cry many time.
Professor Netto, was really good. This class is Chicano literature and everything was explained and outlined at the beginning of the semester. Lots of reading involved. Quizzes and test are not that clear, but if you do the work class becomes easier and understandable. I really enjoyed her class and learn so much about Literature.
She is very clear on things. DO not miss class. Also get as many stamps on your homework so you can get full credit on the notebook. The first essay is out of 10 points and the rest are out of 20. She is pretty clear on what she expects in the essays and the final was super easy. I believe there were like four or five essays.
a fun class, she's a gifted story-teller
I took the compressed summer class and it was a lot of work, assignments due every day of the week. But Mrs. Netto graded every assignment every day and gave feedback (not like my other online class where the teacher was MIA). All of the instructions were there so I was able to get ahead early and she kept us motivated for the five weeks.
I took this in summer, very clear on what to do. Organized. Lots of reading. Informative class.
Please try to avoid although there are not many English professors to choose from. Please... I thought I was aged like 2 or 3 years this semester. The worst class I have ever taken, and now remembering it still is a nightmare to me.
She is funny, quirky, and a little bit on the scary side. Listen to what she says and put into your essays exactly what she asks for (hook, stakes, thesis, topic sentences, conclusion) she'll explain what each of them are. Beyond that, don't have any grammar or spelling errors, and your essay will do just fine.
She tells you what she wants of you and makes it clear. She is tough but fair. Her class is very funny I enjoyed it. She challenged me to do more and I welcomed it. I have never loved English class until now. Even when you are dreading it you are enjoying it.
She is very funny. Didn't keep us in class more than she needed too. We watched a few films which had me laughing the whole time! She grades very fair. Fun and easy! The main thing in her class was in class essays.
I love Mrs. Netto, she's super funny; or tries to be funny. Tbh if you miss a day, nothing happens. The only thing that's sucks is that you have to read out loud in class, but beside that everything she's alright.
I really enjoyed this class with Mrs. Netto. She is a very approachable teacher. Is perfectly clear on what she expects and will help with any potential problem that may arise.
So. Much. Homework.
Mrs. Netto was a great teacher. She was very clear in her syllabus as well as her announcements in general of what she wanted. Very approachable and kind.
Mrs. Netto is the best English teacher. She makes learning fun with her humor! I wish I had more classes I could take with her! I'm currently in her 103 class. Our 101 class was an accelerated class, and I learned so much! Come to class, turn in your work and essays on time for your stamps, and you'll be guaranteed to pass!
Professor Netto is by far the best professor I have had at MJC. Her grading is clear, she expects you to know your grammar, punctuation, and how to write an essay correctly. I took her for 50 and 103 and I would take more with her if I could. She is hilarious and makes class go by super fast. She is not boring and she is easy to talk to.
Professor Netto is awesome. Also, she' smokin' hot. Yeah, I know that sounds kind of weird. However, she is very cool. Easy A.
Professor Netto is an amazing teacher. She is funny and keeps English interesting. She talks to you like a buddy she's drinking beer with. Love love love her. If only all the professors at MJC could be like her.
Professor Netto is an awesome teacher. She makes learning fun. She is super funny and quirky. She makes you feel comfortable and is pretty easy to please, just show up to class on time and don't rush through your assignments. She is the best professor that I have had while at MJC. Got an A in her class, and the workload was manageable.
Professor Netto is an amazing instructor, challenging to students, insightful and funny. She made English 101 a pleasure.
Jenny Netto was perhaps the most real professor I have yet to encounter at MJC. She makes you work for your grade BUT not without the proper tools to do so and achieve a good grade. She is funny as well as helpful. If you genuinely want to learn, I highly recommend her! Just be ready to do your work & keep all of your stamps!
She is tough. She refused to allow me to submit papers that I was having difficulty with even after I explained the situation. She's not helpful at all. Would not recommend if you need her for a grade.
I agree that Professor Netto is tough, but that is the only way students are able to prosper in their classes as well as find their gifts and abilities. She is very organized and is there to help you. If you're looking for an easy A, look elsewhere.
She is the worst professor ever. Do not take her class. She is a hard grader. She never gives back helpful feed back. She never explains what is needed in essays. She will not allow you to revise assignments, that she has failed to explain what is needed. She will not allow you to submit late work. Overall, she is honestly a terrible professor...
Took English 101 online in summer, a lot of work in a little time. Prof Netto gave feedback the next day on every assignment, and rough drafts for the big essays. She answered email and even called me when I needed help. It was the most organized online class I've had and had the fastest grading. Just keep up and do all the extra credit.
I took her course for Chicano literature in the summer (English 172.) It was very organized, straight to the point, with no surprises. You know what kind of work is expected from you at the beginning of the class. READ! READ! READ! She will ask you specific questions pertaining to the assigned readings. Also focus on dates and deadlines.
This professor, although very organized and tells you what is expected she is terrible at getting back to you. Which for an online class is unacceptable. I left her messages and she barely even responded to them, emails just as bad. She doesn't care about her students, is NOT willing to put in the time to help you. I DO NOT recommend her.
I took Professor Netto for English 172. Her online class is very organized. Pay attention to your due dates, engage in the assigned text material, and turn in you essays. The class was easy going but it demanded a lot just as much as any summer online course will. Over all a fast-paced, demanding, yet easy going course.
You will actually learn how to write a proper college paper in this class. Total of 4 essays. Each essay you'll learn a different technique. Each technique is broken into smaller bits. She will not have you waste time writing endless journals and discussions that serve no purpose in how to write a college paper. No test or quizzes.
Mrs. Netto is a very good professor and really cares about her students and their writing. The papers are fairly easy and so is the final.
I took her online English 101 class and it was super easy. Only consisted of four 20 point essays and a bunch of 1 point assignments inbetween. Also gives extra credit. As long as you actually do the assignments you'll get an A, guaranteed. Very cute personality as well. Take her!!
She is an amazing teacher, wanders off a little on lectures with funny stories, only stamped homework never graded it so i didnt even try on it, 4 essays worth 20% of your grade plus all of your assignments stamped. Reading was easy just use spark notes. I wish she taught every subject because she is one of the best teachers at MJC. Take her!!
Too many assignments back to back and doesn't give enough time to complete the assignments. Does not show any sympathy. Does not give clear enough instructions and is hard to get a hold of.
Do not take her class online. I repeat, DO NOT TAKE HER ONLINE CLASS. Its confusing and busy work. Ive also had constant technical issues with her class, but none in my other ones. Maybe it's just my bad luck. Regardless, dont take this class unless you enjoy hour long assignments on citing in MLA format.
I absolutely LOVE Mrs. Netto, she is by far the FUNNIEST professor I've had at MJC. She's got an amazing personality, sense of humor and she's also quite laid back. Now, from an academic standpoint, the class is definitely a challenge. Lot's of writing papers (she'll tell you how it's done) and reading the book. Just try your best and you'll pass.
Professor Netto gives very clear assignments and grades on effort. If you turn in the assignments, it's next to impossible not to get an A. I enjoyed having such a structured class. I always knew what to expect. We did five papers, but they were so short that I could complete them within the hour.
Jenny is amazing and by far one of my favorite professors at MJC. There was only 100 points possible in the class so each essay was worth 20% of your grade she prepares you for each one. Assigns homework but doesn't stamp it, adds up stamps at end of semester so make sure to get it done. She pulls you into her lectures with humor by telling stories
Netto was constantly making me laugh, I love her! I took her Spring 2018 ENGL101 class and can honestly say it was both fun yet challenging at times. She assigns busy work from a text but its easy and she just stamps it for effort. Take your time on the 5 essays you write, each is 20-15% of your grade! Would def. recommend her
Teacher is so rude and inconsiderate. Rarely replies to emails and if she ever does respond, it's always a no. If you need help, or have a question, don't even bother to ask her. Waste of time, wish I had a different teacher.
Professor Netto has clear instructions as to what she wants you to do in her class. There are 4 essays that are worth 20% of your grade. Make sure you do all the assignments because they will help you when writing your essay! Also, don't be afraid to email and ask for clarification.
Professor Netto is a good online teacher. I strongly recommend her if you're taking an online class. Her grading criteria is simple and she's a fast grader! She is a little tough on grading but you get what you put in.
Netto is a great Professor. She knows her stuff, is black and white when it comes to her expectations on essays and is honestly hilarious. I loved her humor last spring when I was in her class and enjoyed learning as well. She does assign a lot of busy work, but its simple. Dont miss class or youll miss a stamp on an assignment!
She is hilarious but she is the toughest grader on essays. If she finds one little mistake on your essay then you best say goodbye to your straight As cause youre not getting an A in this class. Oh and you better get a stamp on all your papers cause its like 20% of your grade so dont skip class neither.
very tough grader, if you have a problem she tends to tell you to find other resources to help you instead of her helping you. with homework you have to collect it over time til end of semester than counts it which seems inconvenient. If you have trouble with grammar in your writing she will dock you hard on it
Professor Netto's class is just fine. She's nice, but a firm grader. If there are no better options, definitely take her class. The reading material was not overwhelming. For an online class, she did not have a strong presence, which is understandable, but I would have appreciated more interaction from her end. Other than that, she's great!
She is a very hard grader, especially when it comes to your writing and grammar. If you're not good at grammar you will have a really hard time in class. Also the way she gives you credit for the class is very weird and not good. She gives you a grade based on the points your earn for example if you earn 75 points all semester, thats your grade.
Absolutely loved this class. Prof. Netto lays out clear expectations in the beginning of the semester. All assignments had clear instructions that were easy to follow. The best part of the class was Prof. Netto herself; she is generous with her grading and extremely funny in class.
Her instructions are no clear at all! She is very rude when you ask her to clearly what she is asking you to do. Professor Netto was very rude and was not willing to help me understand a concept I didn't quite understand.
Jenny was an awesome professor who truly cared. If you are having trouble in her online class go in to see her in person show that you care and want to learn she's there to help. The class consisted of 3 essay's which makes up your grade, she is really big on grammar. There are discussions and other assignments but they're only worth 1 point.
shes an awesome teacher! she grades harshly but the feedback is very helpful. She also makes class fun so going in every other day wasn't as a drag as other classes can be. I would recommend.
Really rude and terrible as online prof. 1) she is not accessible through emails so dont even bother 2) not clear on her assignments 3) exceedingly amount of work you are answering all the questions and sometimes not even from what you read. 4) you must have everything MLA format and free of grammatical errors. She will drop points.
MLA format and correct grammar is heavily emphasized in her class but that shouldn't be an issue if you just run through your essays a second time. Took her summer course. An essay was due every week as well as a ton of reading questions and all that stuff. Difficult class but pretty ok. Would take her class again
Took English 102 over the summer. It was a ton of reading and writing, but its a literature class. Jenny answered my emails immediately and was always encouraging. She graded every assignment in a day or two. That has never happened in any of my classes! It was hard, but you can miss a whole unit and make it up if you have an issue which I did.
Very hard reading, abstracts everyday and she doesn't help on the essays. She's very rude and disrespectful.
Taking this class over Summer was doing a lot of work in a short period of time. Homework every day and a paper due Saturday. However, she did give you a chance to turn in missing work for each assignment. You are also interacting with the class. She did offer a time once a week to meet up with her if needed and it was extra points if shown up.
I took Professor Netto's Eng 102 course over the summer and truly enjoyed all the reading that was required to complete our homework. She is not a tough grader! There is homework due almost everyday in her online class but it is not anything that can not be completed.
(Took as a summer class) Professor Netto is an amazing teacher who sends out many inspirational emails throughout the semester to keep you going. Expect a lot of writing and reading, but her book choices are awesome! (The Call of the Wild, The Great Gatsby, and The Maltese Falcon!) If you like to write, take her class because the topics are fun!
For this being my first semester of school this was a horrible experience in this class. This teacher expects you to know literally everything by know and does not teach you. If you don't know how to properly cite something good luck because you will get 5 points taken off an 10 point assignment. 10 out of 10 don't recommend.
I was nervous for her class because of everything I read on here.. but she ended up being a good choice. She's very funny and helps understand the material. She also gives you MLA packets for guidance and gives notes on how she expects essay structure. Her grading isn't that bad, its fair. Just read the novels and do the homework!
Mrs. Netto is one of the nicest, and funniest teachers I've had in my 5 years at MJC, but if your class is a bunch of jerks and people don't pay attention she wont like your class. Be respectful and she'll treat you like your one of her own.
This course was very fun! Txtbook is a must! You will be focusing on novels in the txtbook. 4 essays over all but make sure you did your citations correct, it is very important for ENG102. Taking ENG101 & ENG103 helped prepared me for this class so I wasn't as worried. She's very helpful if you have any questions! Be prepared for HWs & quizzes.
I took the 7 week summer course online. You will need your book the first day of class, so when she emails you prior to the class starting warning you to get your book, DO IT! You literally have to read because her reading questions are lengthy and require lots of citation. But she had a TA that answered questions quickly and thoroughly.
Jenny could double as a comedian. Her writing advice has carried on with me to this day.
*has a zero tolerance late policy on quizzes and discussion posts* including family emergencies/health situations/etc so you cannot miss assignments and expect to still pass this class! Very homework and essay based and there is at least one assignment due everyday.
I thought she was a great teacher. We read really easy book which made the essays easy to write. If you get help with your essays from tutors you will most likely get an A on your essays.
I was hesitant to take an English class, I decided to take Professor Netto's course due to it being connected to a Film class I took. For being an online class, I truly enjoyed Professor Netto's course. I definitely recommend her!
I had Professor Netto last fall and I really enjoyed her class. I actually learned how to write a proper essay, something I never learned in AP English in high school. I really liked how she gave her feedback on her essays through a video of her explaining them. I became more confident about my writing because of her and set me up well for Engl-103
Professor Netto was great and a super easy class. Over 84% of my class was passing and over 50% had As. Honestly, if you just do the work you will most likely get an A. She lets you redo quizzes until you get an A+, gives you TONS of extra credit, and grades incredibly easy on the three papers. No novels so you only read short stories. Max 4 hours.
Great English class. I had not written a paper in years and received great scores on my work. That is mainly because the class is structured so well and the lectures help you write better. I liked that you are permitted to retake grammar quizzes. Netto gives great feedback on your essays so you can write better. Most importantly, short readings!
If you need to take English 101, I highly recommend her. I took her online, so I can't say how it is for in-person, but I enjoyed online. There was a total of 3 essays (800 words) that you wrote after reading a short story. There are also discussion posts and quizzes, but you can redo the quizzes until you get 100%.
Light work, easy schedule she usually has.
I loved this professor! She has a great sense of humor, making class attendance very easy. Her feedback is helpful and she makes you work enough to think, but not too much that you hate your life. I will always remember her as one of my favorites.
AMAZING course to take, film appreciation was very simple. Each week we would take a short quiz that you had the ability to take until you reached the grade you were satisfied with, and then watched a movie and answered a discussion post about it. I highly recommend taking this course, extremely easy and you can work as far ahead as you prefer.
Professor Netto was great this semester. Professor Netto has her class set up to where you cant fail, almost all assignment and quiz grades can be changed and redone. Her guidelines and rules are crystal clear in what she looks for in your work, and gives great feedback on what to do/change in your next assignment. Would definitely take her again.
I loved this class. Very easy as long as you do your work and pay attention. She also assigns extra credit. You can work at your own pace and it is a really fun class.
I took this professor for summer and we did have a lot of reading, but it was not hard. She was very understanding and I would recommend her. We do have three 800 word essays, but she guides you through them and gives you clear examples. Gives good feedback and no tests. Estar crédito available as well. We buy the book online $17.
Professor Netto was amazing! I took her ENGL 101 class during the summer. Overall, it was a great experience. I did a total of three essays. You have daily discussion posts and quizzes. You are allowed to retake your quizzes as many times as you want. I totally recommend her.
Netto is an amazing professor and her lectures are very engaging. I toke her English 101 online and English 103 in person and both were not overly difficult. Netto gives detailed instructions, examples, and feedback. I recommend her to everyone. 10/10.
Professor Netto was a great professor. Her class was super easy, I recommend everyone to take her eng103 class.
Professor Netto not only taught how to write proper essays, but she also made the class fun. I took her English 100 class just for the extra credits, and was 100% worth it. No homework, unless we didn't finish in class. 10/10 would take her class again.
I've taken all of Professor Netto's English classes. Through all of them, they were engaging and super easy. I would highly recommend taking her.
I absolutely loved this class, thanks to Professor Netto. She explains everything very detailed and gives plenty of resources to look back on when writing your essays. Attendence is key in passing the class. If you show up and do the work you will pass no problem. She made me enjoy college again!! The best teacher and encouraging students.
i suggest Jenny Netto, she is the most inspirational and kind professor i have ever met. She will have your back with ANYTHING you need. Her class is fun and she is so smart! interesting class and she is just the most caring. Easy grader. you will pass her class and have someone who always has your back. You will not regret taking her class.
Professor assigns a lot of homework, be ready to write!
Professor Netto was great. She gave detailed feedback on assignments and the assignments weren't super difficult unless you didn't do the activities or decided to do it last minute. She has an amazing personality which made the class not a bore. Teaches the material in a different manner which is easier to digest. Overall great Professor.
Prof Netto, is by far my favorite professor at mjc. She is clear on how she grades and looks for specific things but will entertain and make sure you understand the lecture well. You do have to participate and show up to class. She will inspire you to keep learning, is amazing, and you won't regret taking her. I will never stop recommending.
Avoid this class at all costs.
Professor Netto's ENG101 is a great class. She gives detailed feedback to help you improve your writing. The workload is manageable, and Unstuck study was a lifesaver for my essay prep. Definitely recommend taking her class!
One thing to note is that something is due everyday, instead of it all being due on Sunday nights
try to get another professor for your english credits. thank me later.
I took the online accelerated course and it was alright. Very clear instructions, however, she is nit-picky in her grading and takes off points for almost everything. There was a LOT of work but not unmanageable. She never responds to emails!! In my final essay, her only feedback was a single word and she took off 12 points. Avoid this professor.
I took her online Engish 101 class, and it was very straight forward. As long as you do your work you will be able to pass. On essays she gives examples of students works which helped me a lot. Her quizzes are easy, and she gives you unlimited attempts. I recommend her online class.
I took her condensed course and let me just say, it was A LOT. She assigns work every. single. day. The only good thing about this is that she unlocks everything so you can advance (but each assignment is very time consuming). Don't get me started on the quizzes. The quizzes will take you hours to complete if you're like me and want aperfectscore.
Her grading is ridiculous. Don't take this class.
Mrs. Netto is the best professor you will ever have at MJC. I don't have enough good things to say about her. In ENGL 101 you are required to write three essays in order to meet the required word count for the class. In order to write the essays you read a series of short stories and she helps you every step along the way. Take her class!
This was my second class with Mrs. Netto; I took 103 with her after I took her 101 class. Believe me when I say that you should take any class she offers! She truly cares for her students and it shows, if you need help she will help you. Not only does she care that her students do well in class, but also in life. Truly the funniest professor too.
Avoid her, The worst professor ever
Take good notes because she does mini quiz. The week work is super light and it helps you once you get to the essay. The class is not hard at all and she is always ready to help.
She's very clear on what is expected and if you can follow directions, you will do fine.
This professor gives several novels with extremely niche pop quizzes in order to guarantee you're reading. Smart, but some questions regard such throwaway details that you are guaranteed some wrong. This professor demands deep reading into frankly nonsensical and tokenistic literature, and grades very strictly for no apparent reason. Look elsewhere
She gives a lot of papers because she has a no-textbook class. She is a very good grader, but is not one of those teachers who's afraid of giving full credit. However, beware of tiny mistakes because even the slightest misprint will get you docked points. She's funny, but a heavy cusser. Don't take if you're sensitive.
