She is soooo boring, not to mention moody. She acts like we are still in high school, she even makes you say "PRESENT" during the role call. Her grading on papers is crap she might need to retake English.
she is tough but she is very clear, you know up front exactly what she wants. if you do that you will pass with a good grade. and she gives lots of chances for extra credit.
Very nice teacher. She teaches very well for a survey course. She gives you many opportunities for extra credit and lots of video quizzes to keep your grade up. A great humanities profesor.
I didn't like her. She has all these teachers pets and if your not one of them then you get screwed. I don't like her grading of the papers. I'm not in English and she makes it too difficult to do good. Suck up if you take her!

She's a great teacher who loves her work and makes you really want to learn about the humanities. I have learned so much from this course and would definitely take her again.
Her instructions on writing assignments vary, she will say one thing and then grade you on another, or she will just make you redo the whole assignment. She does play favorites and treats you like you are still in high school. Her grading system sucks!
take notes study and do what is expected in her papers and youll be fine. if you struggle on tests attendace grade replaces bad test grade. also alows many oppertunities for ex credit to be added to bad test grades.
She was sort of rude!! Didnt feel comfortable talking with her! She says one thing and does another. I did learn a little, but didnt feel comfortable with her.
This woman is aweful! She does pick favorites, and I am not one of them, even though I try very hard. Her tests are easy if you study for them. You have to do her study guides to pass. On writing assignments, she grades worse than an english teacher. Looking for an easy A? Stay away!!
Plays favorites and likes male students better. I asked for help she told me to contact another student in the class who tapes her lectures. She is an Art teacher and that's what she should teach and NOTHING ELSE. She loves to show off and talk over students rather than teach and assist them.

She never covers anything outside the text. As far as the professor is concerned if it isn't western culture, it isn't worth knowing about. She plays favorites and doens't give clear instruction on assignments. If you're female, you don't exist as far as she's concerned.
After taking her class I wish I could change my major to Humanities. Followed her instructions on study material and papers and got an A. Good sense of humor-witty. Does grade hard on writing ability on papers. Can earn extra credit and drop lowest test score if perfect attendance. Would do again
She needs to take an organization course herself. She always comes to class disoriented and late. Her study guides are pretty much the test. On the first week of class she will try to weed people out by calling on certain ones all the time, and then she stopped. She will play the favorite game!

She was VERY unorganized during her lectures and never gave clear answers to specific questions. Did not like to give any extra at all, gave her lecture and she was done with the class.
She is not a good teacher. She shows favortism. She tries to make things more difficult than it is and her class is straight out boring!!
She does play favorites to guys.If you do the study guide, you will do fine.She gives quizzes,but will go over most of them with you.I was NOT her favorite,but I still made an A. I think over all, she is an okay teacher. Now granted, she is not easy. She does want you to do the work/read. But if you stick to the study guide, her tests are not hard.

She is a GREAT teacher. She is very organized. She offers up to 5 points extra credit on EVERY quiz. She is very well-rounded and has interesting stories to tell. She spends a lot of time on art, sculpture, music and architecture. Great class! I had to take 2236 after 2211 b/c i liked her so much! EASY A as long as you do the study guides.

Can't stand her. She makes things much more difficult than they are. Acts as if she's the only professor in the world. She should teach elementary school instead.
This class wasn't and the teacher had great personal input that kept the class upbeat. I personally cannot see what a class that has to do with art has anything to do with going into the medical field. What we studied was very interesting to me though. I enjoyed the topics we discussed. Study your study sheets and you should be okay in class.
Great class! Get your book early...they go fast and you can't find them anywhere else. You will get out of it, what you put into it. The test are difficult but the study guides are very helpful. There is a writing assignment which will hopefully offset any low grades on test. The class goes by fast and everyone seems engaged. Films are great!
I hated the way she teaches. She talks, talks, talks, and keeps talking... looooonnnggggg study guides, and lottttssss to study... you'll get so confused that the only things that you'll get right will be the 5 extra points.. too much... oh and don't forget your 1500 word essay about Parthenon.. crazy, and boring class.

Compared to all my other classes I would say this is the most challenging but that's exactly what college is all about. This is a teacher who expects nothing but the best out of you. She gives you a detailed study guide u have 2 be disciplined enough to study. I think this class gives you a reality check on what college is all about. She's great.
You take notes the ENTIRE class, and she talks the whole time. Lots and lots of hand outs that you have to read and be quizzed on. Not a fun class.
very helpful! this class did very well with putting human reasoning and such into a digestable format. Shes very willing to answer questions-In lecture she focused on the important things we need to know without straying into the unnecessary. Plus, we watched awsome videos all the time. If you're not ignorent then it's very rewarding.
She is a good teacher and very helpful. The only thing is that her tests are hard even though you study they are hard. Give alot of extra credit and that help you alot.

Professor Ohayon was by far not the easiest professor but she did keep me interested in the subject. I was surprised that I enjoyed the class.
She tries to make the class interesting and she is not an "easy A". She is very strict on attendance and missing tests, to the point where she is trying to control the class and not actually trying to help the student learn. To get an "A" you will need to actually read the book and pay attention in the class.
She isn't clear on whats on the test. In the middle of the semester you'll have to read out of the textbook, the novel, and write a 1500 word essay. It's to much!!! She tries to make the class interesting but the material is soooo boriinnnggg. I had to fight falling asleep in her class.
I would not recommend this class to anyone. Her teaching methods are just boring and she does not let the class interact with each other at all. Day after day its just listening to her lecture.

If class starts at 9:00 and say you show up at 9:10 please inform her in person as she will mark you absent and you will regret it later (mid-term). This class was very boring for me. I hated coming here, but after hearing about other people's humanities classes, i didn't hate it that much any more. Her class is easy if you read and stay up to date. I'm not a history/humanities person, so i didn't like the class, but her class is one of the easiest. Its just boring but i recommend her!

very difficult class! class is very boring, just monotone lecture on power point slides. consists of tests and essays and video quizzes every once in a while. 95% of classes last as long or if not longer than scheduled time.

You will have to know every detail from the books. Read a lot, write a lot. I guess you learn something too, but it is very much into details, and a lot of things to go through. She is all over the place sometimes, but kind.
her class was the worst i have ever taken. she will give a review, do not do it! the review is NOT ONE THING like the test her test are hard. you have to go on field trips every week to pass her class! so have two days to spend at class and one to go on field trips. i took enc 1101 and 2 made a 100 in each.and every paper i write she GAVEBACKTOME
Mrs. Ohayon is not as bad as a teacher as everyone is making her out to be.i think that after reading her comments, she has lightned up a little and is doing everything in her power to help us pass. her class was not the most interesting thing that i've ever sat through but she tried hard to make it interesting for us.
Great Professor, likes class disscussion, uses videos to help students better understand the material. You have to study for the tests, but the quiz sheets make that fairly easy. This is college folks you do not get a free ride!
she uses wayyyyy too many videos, and is way too strict on attendance. if you miss 3 days she gives you an F. PLUS! she does these crazy journals that are .25 font front and back with 5 collumns a page and 8 pages long. you have to read them 8 times to understand then you write something and she gives u a B. avoid.
I am taking humanities forum and it is a great class with her. She really makes the class interesting since she is quite passionate about it herself. We see concerts and art and write about it. She is very clear about when something is due and is very fair and timely when it come to grading. Overall great experience!
I almost did not take this due to the rating on here, but she was actually a great teacher. There are quite a few videos and the attendance policy is if you miss zero days you are exempt from the final. The tests are reasonable and make sure you do the article reviews and museum critique.
AVOID. her tests are dumb. she puts too many points on one random essay on each test that she doesn't hint to what its about. run
Don't take her for a summer course she'll swamp with all kinds reading materials that don't have nothing to do with up coming test. The attendance policy is pretty pathetic, on top of that you will have to go to museums and write almost a 7page paper.SAVE YOURSELF!!!
Great class. Professor Ohayon really enjoys what see is teaching. A lot of the videos and class discussion are unrelated to the tests but if you complete and study the practice tests as well as read the text you can ace the test easily. Easy A.
She is awful! She scoffs at all religions other then her own and makes degrading remarks about them. She will not allow for intelligent comments. Her class process is convoluted. She obviously has trouble organizing her own thoughts. Her teaching methods are a joke. Read the book and you will pass the class with an A, but don't expect to enjoy it.
She is really nice but when it comes to teaching she isn't that great. She assigns a lot of different papers to deal with art but doesn't fully explain them. The content of the class is mainly art and nothing else. She is too organized, so much so that she easily becomes disorganized. Easy tests straight from the book and practice tests.
I don't get where people come off say she horrible at her job i think she's a great professor, just come to class, do the work, have fun, and you will pass with an A.

I took her for humanities and it was the hardest class ive ever taken. The amount of essays you write is ridiculous. Her grading was strict and accepts nothing but perfection. She is not lenient AT ALL SO DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOUR A ENGLISH MAJOR
This is a easy A. Use the study guide as a tool for the test. It has the exact same questions. Outlines are due every week, and they are pretty duable. Do not expect to get an A everytime because no matter how hard you try yo will not. Only do extra credit if you need to because if you do it and you have an A she will not add it to your final grade
This professor was not bad at all. Her tests are based on Online Practice Quizzes and are the exact same questions off of there, so study the answers and you will be fine. Also, make sure you do every assignment. Easy A if you do everything in the class.
At the begining of class she was clear on everything. She changed what we were doing almost every week, not sure if we were writing in class or not. Then wanted to make changes to the syllabus 5 weeks before end of class, and no more essays. Very confusing.
I love professor Ohayon. She gives you plenty of lecture time to back up the text, uses fair evaluation, based on the course objectives and is willing to assist you after hours. She is a demanding professor when it comes to writing, but we cannot learn without being challenged. She's in my top 3 for all my classes.
I love Ms. OHayon. She obviously loves the topic and teaches it well. Go to class, do your work and you will get an A and learn about humanities!

Worst professor I have ever had. All she does is give boring lectures, we never used the textbooks, and she was never 100% clear on what she wanted, and is terrible at grading essays and everything else. Didn't learn a thing in this class. When you ask her a question she acts like she doesn't even want to help you out or answer it.
WORST PROFESSOR I ever had. She is not very polite and doesn't care a whole lot about any questions you have. Doesn't respond to emails very fast and she is a horrible grader. I had to do extra credit just to get a good grade. I do not recommend this professor to anyone. We had 3 textbooks for this class and barely used 2 of them.
This professor is horrible. I did not learn anything. I am a 4.0 student and had to do every extra credit assignment just to get my A. I aced all tests but her grading is horrible on essays. She changes assignments & due dates so you never know what or when to turn something in. If you take her all I can say is GOOD LUCK. You will need it.
The class was exceptionally simple and there no reason not to get an A, in spite of the fact that she was unable to clearly communicate instructions. I appreciate the easy A, but it would have been nice to actually learn something.
She doesnt explain very clearly or respond to emails, you have to do fieldtrips and her lectures are boring. She adds a lot of unnecessary work. A lot of discussion questions and quizzes. 2 group projects. Well other than that she is nice but I dont recommend her.

I would not recommend this professor. She is very nice and sweet, but all kinds of confusing. She tries to incorporate group work a lot, which wasn't my speed personally. However, there was no final, and she grades fairly easily. Weekly quizes can be retaken to ensure 100%. There is a group project that was a nightmare, but only because of my mates
She was always nice and willing to help, very professional, though not ever very clear on what she wanted when it came to essays, the tests were fairly easy, just don't go into her class unprepared.
She's very sweet and knows the material in and out. But lectures were crazy boring, you have to attend events outside of class, and there's a group project (PowerPoint and paper) that was a little difficult because of the group thing. Need relatively good writing skills.
This lady was very unclear with her directions and her structure of the class, She is not responsive to emails or phones, if you want to get in touch with her you need to just go to her office. The work isnt hard at all she's just not that great of an professor, kicked me out of the group project because she couldn't see my emails!

Her class was so easy I passed without even trying she gives a lot of extra credit.. We had only 1 team project (we had to visit an historic site) and it was pretty easy it was 4 people in my group and we knocked it out. I wish I could take this class again and make another easy A.
When emailed professor did answer questions, but mostly wasn't clear. I regret taking this class online. She expects your writing to be a graduate level and doesn't show consideration to those who aren't there yet. You're on your own in this class. Offers little to no help. Unless you are amazing in writing and love history. DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS!
A very kind lady. She lectures on the chapter then you take a quiz on that chapter by Sunday on BlackBoard. About one in class activity per chapter and 3 large assignments that are simple to do. If you pay attention, attend class and treat her with respect you should have no problem. ALWAYS CHECK BLACKBOARD. That's where she does EVERYTHING.

I took this class online. For some unknown reason, my final grade was a D. This is absurd, as I'm generally praised for my writing and research skills. I currently attend UF with a 3.7 GPA. I received an A+ in a similar humanities course (also online) at UF. Ohayon never responded to emails. Would appreciate an explanation. Not recommended.
Lectures were boring and long. Tries connecting with students, but fails. Isn't really clear on what she wants for the essays you'll write. Lots of reading in a module and journal entries are a big part of the course. There's no final though.
She's gives a lot of second chances and extra credit to her students, but it really feels like a high school class instead of college. She tries to be enthusiastic about what she's teaching, but she's VERY boring. Lots of powerpoints and semi related videos in class. If you can stay awake, it's a pretty easy class, but i barely learned anything.
She was a very tough grader on our journals and we had weekly quizzes. She gave us 3 chapters of a book to read every night. She was a little more leniant and nice towards the end of the semester. There was tons of reading and she takes off for grammar on papers.
The professor really don't know how to use blackboard you have to look for test, essay post and don't like to be wrong, contradicts herself a lot, hold grudges from past students. Don't know how to talk to people and very happy that she is retiring soon. Do not take this class with this professor at all !!!

She isn't a very good teacher. She encourages us to travel everywhere and she's kinda annoying. She takes adults phones like we're in middle school. I got an A in the class. She just uses us as an audience to her travels.
Class started off on a high note however it quickly changed. Discussions are lengthy and require several examples and citations or your grade will be affected. Last several chapters in the class in my opinion are not related to the course unless you plan to major in photography or architecture.
