Hands down the greatest college professor you will ever have. Take her any chance you get, in fact determine your schedule around her class, you will be thankful.

So easy. You do not have tests or quizzes. We only write four papers all year and she will grade three of them. Show up for class, participate, and act interested and she will give you an A.

She is amazing! she has one on one conferences about your paper before you turn them in at the end of the semester. You only write 4 papers and turn in 3. Participate and show up for class and you'll do well!

She's pretty easy, all you really have to do is write 4 papers and she does one-on-one conferences with you and then at the end of the semester you turn in 3 of the 4 for your grade. The only bad thing is that you don't know your grade until the end of the semester.

She is a great teacher! She is very easy but at the same time you learn alot! You write four papers and have conferences about each of them. You don't know your grade till end of semester though.

This class is very easy. The entire semester you choose a research topic to write on and you will write 3 to 4 page short papaers and in the end create a portfolio and turn it in. She helps you with your paper and helps them make into an "A" paper. Very Easy!!!!!!!!!!

Very helpful teacher. I have never got anything higher than a low B in an English class, but I got an A in her class. Very easy to understand and always avalible to help. Also, makes the class fun by telling funny stories.

I took her online class, and it was so easy. The only thing you actually get graded on is your final portfolio, everything else is just turn it in, get the points.

This was a great class and a GREAT professor. I took the online course and her comments were very, very helpful. She seemed to go out of her way to make sure that we understood the material. The grade was based on a final portfolio of our work through the course. We have two chances to modify each of our papers. My best professor ever.

I'm a decent writer but this course was hard! I saw the comments on here & took her class online. She didn't offer specific feedback but was a VERY strict grader! She required you write 3 versions of 4 essays, peer review, write 12 draft analysis, & do weekly HW assignments! I turned in everything on time & barely made an A. I don't recommend her.

She rocks! There were basically 4 papers. Only three of them are actually turned in in a portfolio at the end of the semester worth 60% of your grade. She basically goes over each paper with you and helps you make the necessary corrections. I got an A, but its not really an "easy A". You have to put forth the effort and work hard.

She is the BEST teacher! You only have to write 4 papers and you only turn in 3 at the end of the semester in your final portfolio. That's 60% of your grade. She isn't incredibly easy, you have to work for your grade. But she is funny and makes the class a lot of fun. She only gives out a few A's, but a lot of B's. I'm taking her for 1102 too.

She is a tough teacher but you truly learn! When I turned in my portfolio at the end of the semester, it was the first time since high school I could not form a sentence when I finally met her! Very hot!

She is tough, but fair. Made be earn my B and I am a better writer for it. Took her online, which was lot of work. English is not my best subject, but she worked with me. Hand in all your work on time and you should get an A or B.

i failed, but thats my own fault. i was late turning in my final portfolio. she is a very easy teacher and is willing to help. just dont f**k up your final portfolio. plus shes hot.

I like her a lot. She takes attendance... and do the reading. It's not really a chore though, the books she assigns for the second half of the course are all really interesting. Uses powerpoints.

I really enjoyed taking her class.. it was interesting. She is a little condescending to her students.. or at the very least me.. She could be more open to suggestions and I wish I would of had more feedback on my papers.. all in all I really wish she would consider teaching a higher level English.. maybe poetry

Very engaging class, but I'd only recommend it for those who are serious about writing. Write 4 papers throughout the semseter with plenty of opportunity for feedback. She gives you a checklist of things to improve. Do everything, and you're guaranteed an A. Just watch out. If your portfolio is 1 minute late, you fail the class. I'm not kidding.

A LOT of reading required for this class. Need to buy 5 or so books. She is hot and she knows it. Pretty stuck up and can be condescending. Not a class you can breeze through, get ready to read your ass off and discuss homer until you want to jump off a bridge. Should teach a poetry class, she loves her own and will let you know about it.

Took class online, she's EXTREMELY helpful & clear. Very organized. 4 writing projects (1 is research paper) - all grades are for completion except for "final portfolio" which is graded for content. My 1st online class & I would highly recommend her! It's a lot of work, research, and writing, but shes very helpful, would definitely take her again

I took her class online, turned out to be a success= A! but you have to work your but off and don't procrastinate! you have to choose a topic to work on the entire semester.. choose wisely! do not pick one that you are going to find research on. Overall, she is a good professor and take her!

Easy A! Class is like a book club. 8 Req. readings and all of them are interesting,4 three page papers,and an online blog for each reading. Come to class to get an A.

Took her online course and came out with a B. Four major papers, all graded for completion, then due together as a 'portfolio' at the end for a grading based on what you learned over the semester. Pretty easy, so long as you're not a procrastinator.

Good at what she does, very good. Also very difficult, but a great teacher at it - I hate this stuff, but I ended with a lot more skill at writing papers. She is EXTREMELY helpful and responsive, and never negative. The book sucks, but I think all the teachers have to use the same book.

Took online, she is very organized, explains directions well, answers emails fast, gives you encouragement, four papers to do, must keep up & turn papers in on time, final drafts of all papers are due at end of semester. I would recommend her. She is great!!

ENG 1102 is the groundhog course! you write on the same topic all semester, choose carefully something you can argue a side on. The book is less formal however the assignments REQUIRE academic writing within a specific structure. I took online summer semester, workload was quite heavy for summer but can't imagine 16 weeks of this class. GREAT Prof!

She is a great teacher! You have to buy a lot of books but some you can find online for free! She is funny and very engaging! loved her! the 4 papers were annoying but do-able !

Ms. Sadre-Orafai is an awesome teacher. She's very helpful and she understands that many people absolutely hate writing papers. We had to write 4 papers on the same subject the entire semester. Please make sure you chose something that is interesting. Stay focused and turn in papers on time and you will pass.She will answer any questions you have.

Easy class provided you attend and know how to read and write reasonably well, but despite being relatively attractive, Ms. Sadre-Orafai isn't the most pleasant or cheerful person, and she doesn't know how to talk without saying "um" or "like" every few words. There are too many expensive books to buy, also, and they aren't worth the money.

Took her online. VERY helpful and responds to emails very quickly. Fairly easy class. There are only 4 papers, all on one topic chosen at the beginning of the semester. Choose your topic wisely. Curious Researcher is the only book needed. I would definitely recommend this class!

Took her online. She is probably one of the most organized and helpful professors I have ever had in an online setting. She responds to emails quickly and is willing to meet with you over the phone or in person. 4 "projects" with 2 drafts for each and the third draft is 60% of your grade. I definitely recommend her.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Attendance is not mandatory but if you want to understand anything in the course you need to attend class. Wide range of course material (world lit) and her in class discussions legitimately make you think. Out of 8 books read 4 require essays. 2 tests and in class participation points are rewarded.

Fairly easy, simple, and typical 1102 class. So glad I took online. She is organized, responds promptly to e-mails, and has everything laid out very clearly. I'd suggest going to the writing center wen working on final drafts. I think this is why I got an A. Highly recommend.

She tells you what she wants, and she grades fairly. The class was straight forward and well enough, but I just didn't like her. Something about here I just didn't like.

She is very helpful and quick to respond to emails. 4 Major projects & a few small assignments. All assignments are graded based on if you turned it in or not except final portfolio. Final Portfolio 60% of your grade includes 3 final drafts. Would recommend taking this teacher especially online!

Awesome teacher for discussing the literature that is required to read. She gets people involved and takes everyones opinion into consideration. However, the 4 papers that you have to write on the literature are graded very harshly, and no matter how hard you try they never seem to live up to her expectations. Blog posts & 2 easy tests.

She is a great teacher! This was my first online class. She clearly states the assignments and if you have questions, she responds quickly. As far as discussions, there are none besides introducing yourself the first day. As long as you do the essay, you get a 100, same with all other assignments. Easy easy A.

She is a great teacher, but prepared to write. She will tell you upfront that she believes that writing is the way to get better at writing. You will write 2 drafts for each paper during the semester, with a final and 3rd draft for a final portfolio. Be sure to read the textbook and all materials provided by her and you will do fine.

Best teacher/class I've had at KSU. She gives great suggestions with what to do with your work. Offers students help when they ask for it and tells them the truth when they need to hear it. If you don't show up to class you will pass but you will miss out on a lot. Don't get your feelings hurt if she doesn't like your work, just keep an open mind.

This professor is amazing. She gave excellent feedback on all assignments, and will help you with anything. My writing definitely got better bc of this class. She replies to emails quickly, and is very thoughtful. Although it was online, I felt like the student-teacher interaction was better than it being in-class. Take her if you get the chance!

I've always enjoyed the writing process, but research papers and MLA aren't my cup of tea. Lucky for me, I got to take Prof. S. As long as you do all of the readings, research (choose a topic you really love - or you'll regret it), and copious amounts of editing, you should do fine. The peer reviewing saved my sanity, as did the class's structure.

Be prepared to type a lot of papers. Drafts due each week, following reviewing and editing two of your classmates' papers. Rubric is always provided and detailed. Make sure to reach the page requirement and stray from grammatical errors and you'll be fine. She is quick at responding to emails if you have any questions.

Professor Sadre-Orafai has been my favorite instructor at KSU. She is so brilliant, talented, and genuinely passionate about poetry. If you put in the effort, she will help you grow and improve as a writer. Definitely take her if you want to push against your comfort zone.

Most of the grades are based on essays but the professor isn't a harsh grader. You have to complete multiple drafts of your essays (The 1st gets feedback from her, the 2nd is reviewed by your group, then you do the final draft). Not a hard class to pass but you should be prepared to put in work and write.

Great professor. You have to attended. Its mandatory and counts as a pretty heavy part of your grade. She facilitated great conversations and creativity. Impress her by googling the bios of poets in the reading packets... she likes it when you are invested in the class.

Jenny Sadre-Orafai was one of my favorite professors. She is relatable and inspiring. The class is not too difficult. I hadn't written any poetry before this class, but she gave us examples of why some poems work and others do not, so I had an idea of what kind of poems I wanted to write. It was not easy, but I was inspired and motivated.

At the beginning of the fall semester, I had a different professor then the professor switched to her within the first month. The lesson plans were already planned out and she stuck to them. I had a whole week to finish an assignment and she seemed nice if I had any questions. Honestly, it was an easy A.

I took this professor in Spring of 2021 and she was one of my top favorite teachers ever. I am actually taking her again for next Spring. She makes the work interesting and she allows a lot of creative freedom. I highly suggest taking her if you love writing poetry!

8-week course: 8 check-ins (no length), 4 free-writes & 3 reading reflections (250 words), 5 poems, poem feedback for those in your group (150 words, typically 9-11 people in the 5 weeks). Workshop format, no tests, and completion grading besides the artist portfolio (2-page analysis, rough and final draft poems) Loved her, just don't be lazy.

Expect high expectations in this poetry class, but Professor Sadre-Orafai makes it worthwhile. Attend every session, engage, and utilize unstuck AI for study prep - you'll grow as a writer.

She is wonderful, truly. In her online poetry writing workshop, she gives tons of feedback and is super kind and helpful to students. She responds quickly to emails and is willing to work with you when you're struggling. The work is fun and allows you to improve your skills. I would take her again.
