At first she was really hard to follow, I'm guessing cuz she's not very organized, but its getting better. She's hilarious and for the guys...she's kinda cute too.

She's a really nice and well educated teacher. She definately knows her stuff. I just took a test today and it wasn't so bad. She's really fast when she talks so be sure to write fast or bring a tape recorder. She's fair in grading. Be sure to read the material and take good notes. Take her for sociology! You'll love her! She's really funny too.

Dr. Stuber is one of the hippest teachers at UNF. She always keeps the class interesting, cracks jokes, and cares a lot about her students. She's very personable and is quick to get to know her students on a name-to-name basis. If you want to take a fascinating class with a great professor, I'd definitely suggest Dr. Stuber.

Stuber is a very outgoing prof that gets to know her students. how she knows the names of every person in a 150 person class... i have no idea. She knows her material and throws . You must read to pass this class. There are quizzes every day but it allows room for error because she only keeps the top 15 grades. Fun class and very intersting

She is really great if you keep up with the readings and attend class because she uses CPS clickers to give quizes based on the reading and previous classes. She is always willing to help in office hours or by appointment if you need her.

You have daily quizzes (25 in total) on articles she assigns. She drops lowest 5. You have two tests (multiple choice and one essay) and you are given review sheets. It's a lecture class, you take notes everyday and power points are online. She is very helpful. Take good notes and you'll have no problem. I got a 95 on my first test.

Stubz is literally the best professor ever! The class is not too hard, but be ready to read every night. She is really funny and she makes you think about the "social norms" in a different way. Her class is a major key to success !!

Dr. J and her class helped me decide on a sociology major when I was going though a rough time. Her class is interesting, engaging, organized, and fun. I never dreaded the reading, and no assignment was particularly difficult. Quizzes every day (easy if you read), 2 assignments, 2 exams, tons of EC and shes SO willing to help. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!

By far the best professor at UNF. Genuinely cares about students and is passionate about what she's teaching. Can't avoid the reading, but it's not bad. She makes the class as easy as possible and sets clear expectations, so it's not hard to do well. Would take her again if I had the chance.

Dr. Stuber is by far my favorite professor I have ever taken at UNF. Literally LOVE her. She's hilarious and super easy to approach. There's quizzes every class, some are MC and some are short response. You MUST read her textbook and attend class to pass the class. But it'll probably be the best class you'll ever experience.

She's amazing! There is a chapter to read before every class and a mini quiz every class but her lectures are amazing! She inspired me to minor in Sociology and she's just so smart and brilliant, she really gets you to think about the world.

Stuber's pretty great. Funny, knows her subject, cares about students. Lots of reading and daily quizzes, but she drops the lowest 5 (so you can miss up to 5 classes). Tells you during lectures if the day's topic will be the essay on the next exam. Took me forever to find the right damn index cards though.

I love Jenny Stuber so much!! Her lectures are hilarious and entertaining, and she wrote her textbook herself so it's very consistent with her in class lectures. Reading the book is mandatory to pass the daily quizzes, but it's an easy read. Also, go to her office hours! She's really easy to talk to, and she really cares about her students :)

This was the most challenging but also greatest class I've taken. Stuber really has a strong opinion but allows discussion of differing opinions and loves listening to students. She's the sweetest and is truly there to help you learn. There are "pop" quizzes before every class but you can skip it if you do the homework she assigns.

I loved this professor! If I could I would take her for other classes. She had pop quizzes at the beginning of class but were super easy, some you just had to relate to the material. She has a study abroad class in Iceland that I wish I could take. She's really understanding and relatable too.

The only professor I've ever had that took to time to learn all of her students names (in a 200 student lecture class) before the first day. Lectures were really cool and interesting. She would give you pages of the textbook to read or a video for the next class because she gives a 5 question quiz at the beginning of every class but you can cheat off of friends easily and she drops the 5 lowest quizzes so you can skip 5 days. Dr. Stuber was an amazing professor with some of the best lectures I've ever had. The weird part about it is even though it was a 200 student lecture hall, she remembered almost everyone's names which was insane. Super engaging class and you can be excused from five of the inclass quizzes.

Class is less of a lecture and more of a group discussion which gives the opportunity to hear different perspectives and make for a more productive class. She is so helpful outside of class and really wants everyone to exceed. She is a hands-on professor who makes sure your reading the material with daily quizzes assessing your comprehension.

Easily one of the the professors at UNF! Makes the class super engaging with really interesting material! Quizzes everyday, but your 5 lowest get dropped. Only two tests: a midterm and final (which she provides thorough reviews for). I would definitely love to take a class with her again in the future!

At first, you might not like this professor but trust me it is one of the best classes I have had. She has so much knowledge on the information she teaches, yet does not use her opinions but states facts. She makes the class fun by letting students share their opinions. Dr. Stuber is a really great professor and person. She knows what she's talking about because she literally wrote the book, however annoying it is at times. There is ample opportunity to get a good grade in this class, and if you're a good person it's already pretty easy.

She is one of the best professors I've had so far. There is a quiz every class but in the end she grades the best 22 out of 27. There is only one homework assignment and its simple. She is a lecture professor but she is very enthusiastic and knows what she is talking about. I'd take this class again. She is awesome.

Dr. Stuber was an interesting professor. Every class you took a quiz, one day would be multiple choice and the next day it would be open ended. There was 1 homework assignment on a documentary where you just write a paper. During class its mostly a lecture but she asks questions for students to answer. She was alright but kinda intimidated me lol

Very well respected, quizzes every day so if you dont watch the videos or read you wont pass. You had to read half the chap & watch vids every day for HW. Tests are not bad, we only had mid term and final. Shes super funny, and has a ridiculous amount of knowledge to share so show. Up. To. Class. Or you probably wont pass!

If you do not like to read I do not suggest taking this class. You must read for every class because you will have a quiz during the first 10 minutes every day. There are only two tests and you will be well prepared if you go to lectures and read the assigned pages. If you miss class you will not pass that as plain and simple as it gets.

She is very willing to help and loves to get to know you, her lectures are amazing, and the material is truly mind-opening. The grade requires studying and reading or else you won't pass: She has daily quizzes on the reading. She provides review sessions right before the exams so you can have a good understanding to make sure you do good.

To begin with, I took this class Fall 2019. She clearly structures whats going to be taught and how she grades. Dropped 6/30 quizzes. Her office hours are always open and I encourage you to go visit and introduce yourself during that time. Overall, I loved her class and was always excited to go even when I had little to no sleep. Definitely worth!

Dr. Stuber's passion for sociology creates engaging and interesting lectures. I've taken her for two courses now and she is hands down one of the best professors. She genuinely cares about her students. For sex, race, and class, it is VITAL that you read the textbook, or you will not pass. Your world view will change after taking her class.

Stuber is super funny and not afraid to have controversial topics of discussion. She makes you buy her textbook that was pretty expensive though. She has small quizzes that easily boost your grade. tests were always easy if you study. She is extremely biased, but I was just there to pass the class.

Dr. Stuber is hilarious and knows how to keep the class engaged. Wrote the textbook herself and it's really interesting. Lectures are fun too, especially with the discussions. Quizzes at the start of every class, 5 points each and she drops the lowest 6 - 7. Three exams with multiple choice questions and an essay at the end, reviews included.

Professor Stuber was an amazing professor as the majority of the sociology department are. However she does give out a work load, it's very easy though. Just pay attention, do the readings before class and take notes. She encourages comments and questions even during lecture and keeps the class entertained. 10/10 would recommend.

This was the second course I have taken with Dr. J and I have grown to love her even more as a professor. She is the most caring and intentional professor I have ever met. She knows life outside her class can be rough sometimes. She gives guided questions to help you focus on certain aspects of the readings which helps tremendously on the quizzes.

She was great! Her lectures are interesting, she engages students, and she encourages questions. If you zone out during class you might have trouble but generally class is interesting enough to avoid that. She's very funny and uses good examples. Read your textbook if you want to do well, and participate! Care's about her students, and checks in.

I've taken 3 classes w/ Stuber: SYG2013 & 2 SYA4930 special topics classes (Soc. of Higher Ed. & Soc. of Childhood). She's my favorite professor and I honestly adore her. Lots of reading & she likes daily quizzes (but so do I tbh, I actually do the reading & learn). Go to her office hrs! She's a great resource on post-grad. plans & good to talk to!

There is a lot of reading involved, but all readings are provided through canvas. She is very intentional in making sure everyone understands the material. You have to put a good amount of work into the class, but it is all worth it. This is the third class I have taken with her, and I love her as a professor.

AMAZING professor. I didn't know Zoom classes could be fun until I took Dr. Stuber. You get the choice to read the textbook or listen to audio lectures & you definitely need to dedicate a couple hours a week to them. There's a quiz and a discussion post once a week and class time is dedicated to discussion. I loved the class and had sooo much fun!

Professor Stuber was amazing, if I could I would take more classes taught by her. Do what's assigned and go to class and you'll pass with an easy A. She doesn't try to overwhelm with work or trip you up, she genuinely just wants her students to learn and take away something real from the class. Highly recommend!!!

I took both SYG2013 and SYO3530 with Dr. Stuber. The material is difficult and the expectations are high, but this leads to very interesting conversations. There is reading after each class and you WILL be quizzed on it. Dr. Stuber is so passionate about what she does! She is funny and a badass, I love the way she ignites others' love for Sociology

Dr. Stuber is an awesome professor. Her classes are NOT easy but that is not a reason to give her a low rating. She is available often and is always willing to help students. There are two quizzes a week that will not be hard if you read what she gave you. Her textbook is factual and a great source. Show up and read the assigned material!!!!!

Stuber is the best and if I could I would take every class with her. She is fun and approachable and makes the material easy to understand. You will have to read before class, but all the readings are provided online for free. The fact that she made a class about social inequality my favorite class this semester should tell you enough lol

I absolutely loved Prof. Stuber. This class is the reason I have decided to major in sociology. Don't get me wrong, she makes you work for it in this class. You NEED to read the textbook in this class, there are small quizzes every class, and there are a couple exams. It's not super easy, but not really hard either. I've enjoyed her class so much.

Professor Jenny Stuber is interesting, to say the least. Her content is controversial and not for the faint of heart. Be ready for a lot of reading, in which she wrote the textbook. I don't agree with the content, but her teaching style made it stick in my brain like glue. That being said, she is a great teacher and is very open to discussion.

This is the most I've read in any class so far, but don't let this scare you. To put simply, you won't pass if you don't read. There are quizzes every class and extra credit opportunities that are simple. She cares greatly about her students and offers office hours where students can talk to her about their grade, how to do better, etc.

She's a very knowledgeable sociologist that will change your perception of certain topics. Class-wise, you have to read the book chapters and take the 2 quizzes per week to pass (28 quizzes total; she drops the 5 lowest). She has 3 exams (each had 50 or 40 mc qs + 1 essay). Offered some extra credit opportunities & review sessions for unit exams.

Dr. Stuber is the kind of professor that really loves what she teaches and cares how much you understand. and wants you to love it as much as she does, but understands that it's not always for everyone. I have never in my life met a more caring teacher than Jenny Stuber. I took her a couple semesters ago. She goes the extra mile to ensure her students wellness and success. Here's how she grades: * 22 highest quiz grades (she removes the lowest ones once the semester is over) - one multiple choice quiz and one short answer quiz once a week * two tests graded out of 120 points * one test graded out of 100 points

This class can be challenging as there are daily quiz's based on the reading however they are only 5 questions and very easy making it easy to bring up your grade in the class. The lectures are very interesting and intriguing. Exams are online and open note. She is very helpful if you begin to struggle and your grade falls

Get ready to go into the first class with the first chapter of the text book read. You take a quiz at the beginning of every class based on the reading assigned the class before hand. Her exams are online :) and her lectures are extremely easy and engaging. Extra credit is given for every time you attend office hours and for engaging on campus.

Professor Stuber's class is very interactive and interesting. Attendance is pretty much required if you want to get a good grade. At the beginning of each class, you have a quiz on the HW reading either multiple choice or a small paragraph. She really wants you to pass the class and provides a lot of extra credit.

(Took SYD3410, it's just not listed) Attendance is lightly graded but not mandatory, quizzes and readings are frequent but can be dropped. Stuber never hosts a boring class, and I will always recommend taking her. She listens to student feedback and is always willing to work with you on a personal level.

I had her for Sex, Race and Class my freshman year and then took her again for Sociology of Higher Education and now I am taking her for Sociology of the Family. Professor Stuber's class is interactive and engaging. Attendance is a must, but her support and extra credit opportunities make it worth it. I found unstuckstudy AI super helpful alongside the textbook for preparing for her quizzes and exams. Overall, a challenging but rewarding class!

Dr. Stuber is hilarious and so kind and caring. I believe this was the first time she has taught sociology of sexuality and she did amazing. One midterm, a finale (cheat sheet on both), a short biography, and a quiz every week, but manageable. The other students in the class were kind of strange, but everyone loves her.

I love Professor Stuber! She is very nice, caring, and have some of the funniest lectures. I will say if you're the type of person who hates and doesn't do well on quiz taking it might not be for you. All of the assignments in canvas are quizzes and exams. The quizzes sometimes can be tricky because there based on 15-20 pages of reading/ videos.

READ THE TEXTBOOK- before the first class too! Other then that, she's an amazing professor. Extremely engaging and entertaining.

Amazing professor with amazing lectures, but I personally hated the fact that she always has 5 question quizzes at the beginning of class, and this isn't anything of her fault, but the free online textbook is very confusing with the pages which sometimes caused me to not do great on the quiz because I was missing context.
