Interesting woman. Essay after essay, but it is an OK class if you are good in English. She is really nice and tries to keep herself open to answer all questions. Took a hybrid class that met once a week.

I agree w/other comments but want to add that she teaches you how to write a proper college level paper. She is an exceptional teacher. She provides individual feedback that is very constructive. She really wants all of her students to succeed. You will need the book, but older editions OK. 5 term papers and weekly HW but you will learn a lot.

Jensea is a good professor. She's a little all over the place with the assignment requirements, but is always very flexible. She does teach you how to write a good essay and introduces new ways to prove a point with your writing. She sincerely cares about her students and just people in general. She wants you to succeed! Take her classes.

Great teacher! Very enthusiastic and truly loves to teach. She has some strict requirements but she eases you in to them. She hands out extra credit just for being in class,since it was a hybrid course all of the essays were explained and walked through in class. A discussion board was due weekly but you could use it in your essay

Professor Storie was a great teacher. She really cares about her students succeeding in her class. She gives a lot of homework, but the homework pertains to your essays making it easier to write your ten page essays. I recommend this teacher because she really love her job.

What an angel. I crashed 4 other sections prior to hers and have the syllabus of each. Hers was not only the most interesting (new media), it was the kind that, above learning to read and write critically, makes you a more understanding person to others. Her hospitality should be gold standard. The 1st day my seatmate and I agreed: "She's so cool!"

Was a very easy class. But she was not very clear all the time. I spent a lot of the time confused and wondering what I was supposed to do. Very nice lady, I would recommend her if you don't mind the lack of clarity. Gives you almost off sources for all essays. Attendance is not mandatory but you get points for showing up anyways.

Take the class!!! It's super easy, the best thing is...you learn so much more than what you sign up for. Jensea is the kindest person ever and her love for life and people in general rubs off easily! The only thing you must know is every assignment is a group assignment, so if you're not into groups, find another course!!!

Best teacher I have ever had in my life. In her class I learned how to articulate my thoughts in an organized way so my writing made sense. You will do a lot of writing. She reads and gives lots of feedback to her students. In high school i never learned how to write and I just assumed writing was not my thing. She is fun and interesting.

she was a really great teacher for my hybrid class, she likes to show a lot of YouTube videos to help make your writing stronger. She gives great feedback and if you have any questions you can always contact her through email. She knows your strong suits in writing, but the essays get to be up to 10 pages long. I would so take her class again.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TEACHER. It's to your benefit if you show up to class, she goes over quite a bit in the lectures. She walks you through the essays to make sure you get them done right and she's willing to work with you if you are struggling in the course. She genuinely cares for each of her students and goes above and beyond when you need her.

Her grading is TOUGH, and loves to mark down points for little things. I had to do extra credit just to keep an A. Points matter in this class, and they add up quickly! She gives quite of bit of outside assignments, but they all help you build up to your essay. When the time to finally write the essay does come, you are already prepared with everything you need. She is a great teacher, and grades with good feedback that will help you. Don't skip class, because that is when she really helps you the most!

TAKE HER CLASS! She gives lots of extra credit and it seems she adjusts the grading critieria to the needs of the class. One of the best teachers I've come across. She breaks down each paper, and has a heart of gold. 10/10 would take again. Not only that, but she takes feedback from students on what the papers should be on making them a lot less dreadful to write.

she's a really sweet lady who won't let you give up on your homework no matter how hard it is, she'll be behind you no matter what, give you some really good ideas while having conversation at to get you motivated, and she'll pay for your lunch and if you need to print your paper so give you money. But don't take advantage of her kindness.

This last summer I took my first college class here. I was doubtful at first,but all I had to do was ask her for help,and she never brushed me off. She grades fair for each individuals ability. As long as you turn in your work she will see that you are putting in the effort. She has a lot of patience,so don't feel rushed.

The hidden gem of MSJC. interesting topics to write about and grades fairly for everyone. But because she's so flexible her directions can sometimes be confusing, but ask for help, she'll always make time to explain the prompt and answer all questions. Overall Highly recommend

Professor Storie is really an amazing professor. While there is a lot of writing in the class (ah hey, it's English), the essay assignments are really interesting. So if you do not like English, take her because at least you will be writing about something that is super interesting. Plus, she really cares about you. On top of it: she's hilarious!!

I love Professor Storie. She cares about her students and is very passionate about English in general. Sometimes it can seem like her instruction isn't clear, but if you ask her she will explain it to you however many times needed for you to understand. You will always have homework, but honestly, you're just writing out the essays by paragraph.

It is critical thinking, so sometimes the class is very challenging. BUT, Professor Storie does everything she can to help you get through the concepts and the terms. I would just always text her to make sure I was right on track (yeah, you can text her). At least. the research paper is on TV dramas, so that makes it kind of fun and real to life.

If you gotta take it, take Prof. Storie. She makes the class fun and you will laugh a lot. The writing is a lot but what the heck, she is chill and will help you with it cuz you write the essays in homework drafts. I took her for summer and it was quick and fairly easy.

Storie is SUCH a G. Took her for an 8 week accelerated English 101 course and it was so fast paced I thought my head was going to spin off but I am definitely a better writer after getting through that. She breaks down the writing process and makes it so workable. Bad writer? Take Storie, you'll owe it all to her.

Jensea is SO great! She is super awesome, and a huge Golden State Warriors fan. The class requires you to write five (5) papers over the course of the semester, but she makes it extremely easy and fun. she allows you so much time to work on it in class also. By far the most inspirational professor and mentor I have had. There've been MANY nights where I text them frustrated with writers block and they ALWAYS get back to me. Jenesa Storie is a phenomenal professor. She is so kind and cares about you as an individual. Her class is simple yet challenging. We write a lot and it is group project heavy. Be prepared to dig deep and think outside of the box in her class. We frequently present and it is a must to attend. Follow the rubrics and you will be fine.

Jens is one of the best teachers I have ever had! She is super cool and down to earth, willing to help you with anything you need. Gives a cool grandma vibe. Her class is pretty easy, if you do the work and follow the rubric, you'll pass no problem. However, there is a lot of work but nothing that is unmanageable, lots of groupwork. Love her!

TAKE HER! By far one of the best professors I've had for 101 and 103. she is a VERY caring teacher and wants to see you succeed and improve as a writer. She's also very understanding if you need an extension; just make sure to communicate with her. Don't fall behind as assignments can pile up but she offers a generous amount of extra credit.

She was clear in what she graded and also allowed us to go back and change things to make up the points/ re-turn in some things. She's crazy but you love her, she is very good with her lectures and provides a good amount of extra credit. All you have to do is try in that class and she will help you, communicate with her!
