Great guy, great class! I've been intimidated by technology all my life but Professor Stark made the learning very seamless. Everybody should take him!

I enjoyed taking this class for the semester, he helped us as much as possible. If I had a chance to take this prof again I most definitely would.

Professor Stark is the man! I wish I could take more classes taught by him. 10/10!

Mr. Stark is a realist who really knows his stuff. He cares about students and really wanted all of us to succeed. He always covered the schedule so we knew what was due, answered questions in person or over email, and was available after classes. He loves creativity and people who think outside the box. I hope to have him for another class.

Didn't go to many classes at all. Actually only went like twice. Just make sure you understand how to do everything because its on the tests. Also don't leave the projects for last minute.

Professor stark is a very chill professor but at the same time knows everything about technology. Most of his lectures were great and you can tell he really wants his students to understand the material. Coolest professor I've had yet!

Assignments are all projects and are easy and enjoyable to complete. Assignments very clear and well explained so it is very easy to get 100% on every project. Class is not mandatory but it is recommend on lab days. Was my favorite class by far this semester.

He's a really great speaker and some of the assignments are difficult but there are very few assignments and he gives you a lot of time to do so.

Attendance for his classes was not mandatory. But the information in his lectures were very helpful. I would recommend to students taking his class to try and attend them as they helped provide background information for the projects you'll be doing in his class.

Best professor I have had so far. The assignments are easy. Attendance isn't mandatory, but if you show up to the labs and his lectures he will explain exactly what he is looking for on the assignments which helps your grade. He is open to helping students one on one you just need to email him.

Professor Stark is one of the best professors at this university, He has clear grading criteria and his lectures are actually pretty entertaining. He also cares about all of his students and wants everyone to get a good grade. I definitely recommend this professor!

Lectures are very straight forward. Attendance is not mandatory but you should go so you know how to do the projects. Only grades are on projects given but offers a couple extra credit assignments throughout the semester. Very good teacher and If you show up and try, it should be an easy A.

Professor Stark is a real cool dude! You can tell he genuinely cares about students and their learning of the material. The topics are pretty dry but he does a good job of explaining how and why you will use the information or skill in the future. Doesn't take roll or anything like that but you should definitely go to class.

Feel more prepared to get a job is business because of professor Stark. I plan on taking him again.

I took professor stark as a freshman years ago for IS 101 I think and loved his class. I decided to take him again for 201 and he is even better! He doesn't require attendance but you are at a clear advantage if you go to class. He's the real deal and IMO the best teacher at UNR.

Mr. Stark cares more about what you walk away with than the grades your receive. With that said, I have a hard time seeing how anyone could pass his class without showing up regularly. His lectures are great and I learned so much more in class from him than our IT lab text. Hes cool and down to earth unlike most of the professors here.

Stark isn't out there to confuse anyone or make them feel bad about being amateur. I came in unfamiliar with the logistics of how to work on a computer. He really takes the time to make the class enjoyable and the projects are meant for you to have fun with. He's always willing to sit down and work with any questions you may have.

I took this class as a Sophomore and was a requirement for a Business major. This class is very easy and you learn tons at the same time. Class isn't mandatory but if you go you will learn cool stuff about technology. Instead of learning boring stuff we covered Photoshop, Excel and also got to use the technology in the Delamar Library.

This guy is an awesome professor. He truly cares about all of his students success and teaches this course the way it should be. He teaches nothing that is unnecessary to your learning and really leaves you at the end of the year with a lot more knowledge then you had before. He even has you go out and explore all the useful technology on campus!

This class was pretty tough but Professor Stark is great. I had a friend take another professor for 201 and am so glad I took Professor Stark because he is a lot more laid back and easy going. Everyone should take him if they plan on working in business or with data. Thanks Professor Stark!

This guy is honestly so helpful. He even took the time to meet with me and help me through an issue I was having at work when I was trying to improve my works data security. He's clear about what is required of students but also understanding. Thanks Professor Stark!

One of my favorite professors I've taken at UNR. Super easy class with about only half the classes actually scheduled. Gives Extra Credit opportunities. If you show up to the lectures and lab days its a hard class not to get an A in.

Loved taking Professor Stark. I was really lost early in the semester and he helped me get up to speed and set me up for success.

Very easy class as long as you show up. Professor Stark make his expectations of students very clear and goes over assignments in detail. With any effort at all you should get an A.

Overall great teacher. He always makes an attempt to see things from the students POV. Lectures are great and Professor Stark has a ton of experience in the IS industry so his examples are spot on.

Professor Stark makes sure the grading criteria is known in the first class of the semester. His lectures are enjoyable and I learned valuable information. The quizzes aren't difficult if you pay attention in class. Study for the exams and put in solid effort for projects and you should do well in this class.

This is my first semester, he is the best one! if you follow his step you will get a good grade.

Prof Stark is tied for my favourite teacher I've had so far. His lectures are filled with great examples, funny jokes, and he's completely accessible outside of class. The best part is he's very open and felt more like a friendly mentor than a prof by the end of the semester. Also, his music taste? 10/10

Professor Stark is up front about the requirements for this course. No need to buy a text book, though the web-hosting purchase requirement is the cost of a cheap textbook. His lectures are informative, his quizzes are based on the lecture slides, and the skills learned in the class can be used in any business setting. Would recommend.

Pretty easy class. There's a quiz of the chapter every week (really easy though) and two projects. If you ask him for any help on the chapter or the projects he'll do his best to help you out. He really cares for his students and is one of the best professors at UNR.

Best IS professor that I've taken at UNR. He's younger than some of the others in the department, and actually has a career in the field outside of the university so he knows what he's talking about. Would definitely take a class with him again.

Professor Stark knew what he was talking about and taught all the material very well. He answered all questions anybody had and was very clear and what he expected out of us regarding exams or projects.

I was looking forward to taking IS 301 but having professor Stark as my instructor was a bonus. I looked forward to going to class and hope I can take more classes with him in the future if they are available.

Very educated and personable professor, he has a lot of working experience in his teaching field and attempts to relate topic we learn in class to real word situations, something I wish more professor would successfully do.

Mr. Stark was a good teacher. There was nothing that was spectacular about class, however, it was interesting and thought provoking. I learned many real life applications to what was taught to us and never felt like I wasted my time. Mr. Stark is a happy dude who loved playing music before class. He is very helpful and only wants us to succeed.

Cool class and cool teacher! The biggest project in the class is a website, which at first I thought I would never be able to do but Professor Stark taught it slowly throughout the semester in the labs and now I'm able to create websites which is really cool! Everyone should have a chance to take Professor Stark!

Take this professor for IS 301.

This was a great class to take and was an easy A if you show up to the lectures. The professor gave new information only on Monday which was great while Wednesday and Friday were for working on our class project. Easy quizzes and exams if you paid attentio and textbook is optional if you come to class. Would take again if he taught other IS classes

Jeremiah is a stud. Super helpful with the IS project throughout the semester. Willing to go above and beyond to explain the lectures. Experience at Microsoft and outside of class helps explain content with real world examples.

Doesn't make you buy the textbook thats a plus. Classes are 50 minutes so be sure to show up for every class as there will be easy 5 question pop quizzes from the last classes material (not every class but most). For the exams you can use a sheet of paper for notes so that is awesome. Awesome professor :)

Jeremiah Stark was probably the best possible professor that I could have taken for IS 301. I am absolutely TERRIBLE WITH COMPUTERS, and Professor Stark helped every step of the way. He's a great guy who knows how to laugh and is not stuck up dealing with someone so challenged with computers like me. He's the most certified IS teacher for sure.

As many have already said on here, Jeremiah is a great teacher. He has a lot of experience and imparts it well on students. I would definitely take a class taught by him again. The class itself was a little disappointing. I thought we were going to learn more about Excel since 201 had a ton of excel and we didn't use excel at all in 301.

Easy class if you show up. Quizzes are all based on the previous lecture and pretty easy. Play great music before class and during labs 10/10

Pretty easy grader and chill professor. As long as you pop in class every day and put forward some energy to pay attention you will pass pretty easily. Just make sure to go to every lab day because it helps alot.

Stark was my favorite professor at UNR. I took him for IS 101. Class is not mandatory and there is only two tests that are crazy easy. He grades heavily on projects but gives a lot of class time to work on them with his help. Highly recommend.

Very good teacher. He knows what hes talking about and explains it in a way for more superior then other professors at UNR teaching the same thing. His lesson plan has much less stressful assignments. My roommate taking another professor for the same course is miserable in that class. Plus he's an Avenger.

Stark makes the class easy which is great, he does it in way that allows the student to remember and hold onto what they are taught. lots of projects but they are easy and well-explained. overall a great class and instructor!

This was my favorite class this semester and it is because of Professor Stark. He's really laid back and super smart but doesn't make you feel lesser than. He explained everything completely and would check in with us to make sure we understood the content and what was expected of us. He is the reason why I think I'm going to major in IS.

It's an easy course, Mr. Stark knows his stuff and is always willing to help inside and outside of class. Mr. Stark is a good professor, I don't think anyone dislikes him. You learn about word, excel, power point, photoshop, 3D printing, and web design.

He posts the lecture notes online so it is not always needed to go to class, but it is very important to go to the labs because he explains the projects. Very fun class

Professor Stark is a great teacher. He clearly explains what needs to be done for each assignment and will go through it with you in the labs. If you dont show up to the labs you might fall a bit behind especially if you havent used some of the software programs before. Overall great class though, and hope to take another one of his classes.

When I first learned that we would be doing projects on photoshop as well as creating our own website, I was worried because I had no clue to do either. However he teaches you what you need to know, as well as has a clear grading criteria. Just show up to his labs and you will be just fine. Also, he can meet you outside of class for one-one help.

Even though it was a 7:30am class, it was worth showing up. Even if I missed class, he posts lecture slides. Super good teacher, even if the material was something I already knew. I suggest going to the labs rather than the lectures because I like hands-on learning.

This class is here to help you understand the programs on a computer, not to make a pr but to experiment different applications that are available to us.

Mr. Stark is a great professor, easy grader for a IS 101 class. This class is not possible to fail. He allows students to step outside of their comfort zones(Extra Credit), take advantage of it.

Stark was clearly knowledgable about the course, and made it very easy for me to learn how to use the basics of many programs. He doesn't require attendance and is a relaxed grader. He is very helpful in class, and has stated that he is open to meet during office hours often.

Professor Stark is a pretty cool guy. The class is very easy and he is always available to help if you need help. There were only like maybe 5 classes I needed to go to for information, besides that, the class is half lab days based on your last name and then preprovided no class days which was fantastic for a 7:30 am class. I really loved the class, the information taught, and the professor himself. He gives a decently big extra credit opportunity early in the semester. Exams are really easy, he even states that if you go to class every day and just pay attention you will pass. As long as you follow project guidelines, it's pretty much an easy A or atleast a B

He is a really chill professor and had a very clear syllabus to follow. Attendance wasn't mandatory however attending the computer lab days really helped with projects because he basically guides you through every step! The exams are also really short and easy especially if you go to class, but you'll be fine if you skip class!

Stark is a real cool dude, can answer any question you throw at him and offers solid feedback on all assignments you turn in. No textbook, just a handful of projects that are centered on going to a group lab every couple weeks. Be aware you should go above and beyond the rubric, just completing the bullet points won't get an A. Would take again

The class is based on mini projects/assignments. The grading is very clear and you can get almost all assignments done in class if you try. Professor Stark was very nice and helpful. He always tries to answer your questions, he encouraged creativity, and is willing to help you if your stuck on antrying. He was caring and the class was educational.

Professor Stark is a fair man who cares about his students. He is very practical and understands his students needs and listens to concerns and takes feedback about lessons and assignments. This class is very easy, and he does nothing to make the class more difficult than it needs to be. Even if you know nothing about IS he will help you succeed.

At the beginning of the course I knew nothing about computers, and at the end I now know how to keep track of a business and create my own website. Before taking this class i didn't expect that I would actually be enjoying my 7:30 am class but Professor Stark made it bearable with his morning jokes and all the varieties o music that he would play.

Very easy going professor, the entire class is projects but there are many opportunities for you to come in and get help. Grading criteria is very clear and he gives you lots of opportunities for extra credit.

Super easy as long as you attend class, in class quizzes and labs you need to attend, but not too hard if you attend everything. Left Fridays labs optional to come in for extra help on projects. Clear on grading and what is expected, would take again!!!

Jeremiah really cares about his students and helping them learn. He answers his emails quick, and gives good feedback to help you with what you struggle with. His exams/quizzes don't trick you, as long as you pay attention in class and study the material he gives you, it's an easy A. I would 100% take him again if possible, even if its at 8am.

Professor Stark is such an amazing teacher and overall such a great guy. His lectures don't even feel like lectures they feel like you're just having a conversation while learning. Stark wants everyone to pass his class, he isn't a harsh grader. He does have assignments that you are completing almost every time you come to class. If you come to class once a week though and get your work done in labs, it's an easy A. If you study the slides that he posts, it's identical to the exam that he gives out.

He is by far my favorite professor so far in college. He makes the class very fun and easy, but if you just skip class thinking your gonna get an easy A, that is not the case. In labs he literally helps you finish all of your assignments, so just go to class!

The class is amazing. There is only one mid-term and an online final in the class so few exams. The class is mainly work based. There is only a Photoshop assignment, Excel assignment, and website design project. You don't have to show up to class, but the class is an easy A if you show up and put in a little effort. I learned a lot as well.

Being in Professor Stark's class this semester was a relief compared to all of my other classes. Attendance is most essential because although easy, with very clear standards - there is a lot of new information about IS to learn. So if you don't show up to class, you will struggle with assignments. Overall very easygoing class though.

Mr. Stark was a great teacher who seems to have a passion to teach students. He is younger and more relatable to new students. He has a lot of experience in web design. Would say he could put his mind to better use, but he enjoys teaching.

Stark is awesome. He teaches things that will actually be useful later in life and will never waste your time. Although attendance isn't mandatory, I highly recommend taking this class!

This guy is a subject matter expert and also realistic in his approach to teaching. I don't want to sound pandering but the guy had the best methods to teaching he understood that we have other classes and that were adults as well as that trying to over do tests did not do anything to help teach or check our knowledge but gave us relevant questions

Mr. Stark is the pick me up I needed for my 7:30 am class. Every day begins with some music or even a joke or two. His level of difficulty is moderate to easy, but he enjoys when students actually learn and take interest in his class. I am awful with Tech, and he makes learning enjoyable and easy to understand. do work and you reap what you sow.

Stark is such a nice guy who just overall wants you to pass. Do the work (which aren't too difficult) and you'll do just fine. Although class isn't mandatory, he gives a quiz about last week's topic at the beginning of each week, and even those aren't hard. If I ever have to take IS again I would only choose Stark.

Professor Stark has been my favorite instructor at the University so far. He breaks the course content down into easy to understand stages for students. There arent many homework assignments but weekly quizzes are involved. Attendance isnt required but youll have a hard time passing weekly quizzes without showing up to class.

He is super nice and respectable! Also, his IS101 is easy to pass! You should take his class! We have photoshop, excel, and web design assignments, but all of them are not hard and worth in life. This class has mid and final, and both of them are very easy!

Professor Stark is amazing! He is very knowledgeable on the subject and uses real life examples for students to better understand the purpose of IS in the real world. He holds review days for students who need him to go over any material. Show up to class and do the work and you will do well!

This is my second semester having Professor Stark, and he didn't disappoint. He teaches material that is easy to understand and learn, thanks to his experience. Even with easy to follow lectures, you will get a chance to learn by yourself. While understanding, don't give him excuses, and even if it says optional attendance, go to work ahead.

This class was super easy as long as you show up and go to class to do the projects you will barely have any outside homework to do. He is super understanding. Overall a cool class to take because it forces you to do stuff you wouldn't normally do. Several extra credit opportunities.

Really good class. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Make sure to pay attention to the lectures, because there are quizzes every week on them. He truly cares about his students and is willing to help.

Prof. Stark is a great teacher. He is always available to assist students inside and out of class. Our class was based around building a website and Prof. Stark was very helpful in this process, he gave good feedback and provided us with the tools to necessary to build a professional website.

Professor Stark was upfront on what he expected out of us and what we should expect out of his class. He was always more than willing to help, and is really only looking for completed work and effort/creativity.

Stark is one of the best teachers at UNR. Very understand and useful. Is available outside of class. Quizzes over lectures on Mondays, but very easy. Full one-sided cheat sheet for all tests. Gives good feedback when you turn in assignments early and helps you to reach that A.

JT really cares about his students and helping everyone achieve. With every lecture he related it to the real world and made all the lectures interesting. i enjoyed his class and would highly recommend him for Is 301.

Mr. Stark is a great professor, as long as you do the work it's an easy A. There is a quiz every Monday, lab on Wednesday's and optional class on Friday's. He wants his students to pass and isn't trying to trick you, I would definitely take him again.

Mr. Stark is probably the BEST professor I have had here at UNR. Definitely recommend this class. 10 quizzes but he has you just sign in sometimes to get a 10/10 on them lol. Super helpful with questions and such. Tests are easy since he gives you a cheat sheet on each one. I got 100% on them just by writing down important points from the lectures.

A bit tedious with everything being due at the end so spread it out for yourself. He is awesome and it's easy if you just put in some work.

Prof. Stark was a great IS Professor. He is very clear of what he expects of the class, and is always willing and accessible to help. He sets aside time each week outside of his office hours to meet with students and make sure they understand and are doing well on their papers or projects. A great Professor all around.

One of the best IS instructor at UNR. I will take his class again. There are 10 super easy quizzes, 2 exams, and a final. You will be fine if you go to the class and labs. He was very helpful for the Class Project. He will really help you to design a professional looking website.

Professor Stark was an amazing professor and person when it came to the class projects and labs. He has office hours on Fridays that allowed me to ask for some help or get to know him better. Stark has been very descriptive in his lectures by using real life experiences and businesses. If I ever get the opportunity to take his class again, I would!

Professor Stark's IS101 class is very easy and fun. Attendance isn't mandatory but it is better if you show up anyways because during the lectures he gives you time to work on your projects. The exams are based on the lectures as well, but they are very easy as long as you pay attention. I would very much recommend taking Prof. Starks IS101 class!

Unless you have prior experience in the different softwares used, you absolutely should attend class. He's lenient with grading, and has always been helpful with me, but if I hadn't attended classes I would not have done so well. I'm really glad I took IS 101 with him, he know's what he's doing, and he tells you exactly what he's looking for.

He is a really good teacher and gives plenty of time to complete assignments. Tests are super easy if you go to class. And you only have to go once a week most weeks. I would recommend him.

Professor Stark is one of the best professors I have had. I myself do know my way around technology, but Professor Stark made it much easier for me to use technology. Go to class if you want to pass the class, he goes over everything in his lectures and his tests are easy (given you attend lectures and pay attention).

Stark was really direct and to the point. We covered a lot of bases in I.S. 101, but he made it easy to follow and enjoyable.

Professor Stark does a great job taking complex ideas and making them seem simple in his lectures. I learned so much from him on lecture days! I had a friend take another professor for 301 and all of their learning came from textbook and they struggled. Take Professor Stark, he does not disappoint!

The lectures are very short, but he goes very fast. After the lecture he leaves enough time to finish the assignment in class and walks around to give you one on one help. The class is an easy A, if you show up. He's very nice and is easy to meet up with if you need extra help. I highly recommend him!

My only complaint was the lack of notice when class was canceled. It would have been nice if that was on canvas and emailed.

Stark cares about his class and working step-by-step through the material. There is plenty of time to actually understand the lectures and complete assigments. The lectures and assigments are both few and interest. He is also quick to respond to emails, which I found very helpful. Overall, I really enjoyed this professor and the projects we did.

Stark is one of the best professors I had. He gives great feedback on your work. You don't necessarily have to attend if you don't need the extra help or if the attendance is not mandatory on that day, I recommend showing up anyway because he is a great person. Lab days make it easier for you to get help. His assignments and tests aren't hard.

One of the most inspirational and easy-going teachers I have ever had. His class has 10 quizzes in person (5 of which he will give you full credit just for showing up to class that day), 1 research paper that has to be 4 pages long, a website you have to create during his labs, a business process assignment, and 3 exams. The final is ONLINE!

Professor Stark was really great, he made the class interesting and easy. Anyone can get an A in this class, as long as you do the assignments. Make sure to go the labs too, otherwise, you won't know what to do for assignments.

Took his 7:30 am class. Seems aweful, but it really isn't. You only have to show up one time a week, besides the very few 'madatory' lectures, usually for a guest speaker or test. Highly recommend this class, in comparison to other IS profs, Stark teaches very well, but doesn't make you do useless things.

Mr. Stark is very knowledgeable and does not waste time teaching things that we will not use in our future careers. He always relates material to real examples and current topics and this is what makes him better than other professors I've had. Great class, great guy, very funny!

Jeremiah has a great classroom structure. It wasn't too hard and I learned a lot. In labs he went through things a little fast but otherwise it was a great class. It's structured where the majority of classes are labs where he either teaches you steps on projects or you can get one-on-one help. Not test heavy. WIsh i could take him for 201 & 301

Professor Stark is the best IS professor I've had. He is funny, laid back, and knowledgable in his field. He is easy to talk to and gives you plenty of opportunities to talk to him outside of class. After not enjoying IS 101, I am thankful for trying a new prof for 301. One of my overall favorite profs at UNR so far.

This course is an easy A as long as you show up to class and go to all the labs because he literally goes over your projects with you so its not like your doing busy work in the labs.

I really enjoyed this class. I thought It was going to be difficult for me since I do not know too much about computers but Mr. Stark was accessible in class and responded quickly through emails. Make sure you show up for labs because you can follow along when working on the excel projects and personal websites.

Lectures are posted online. Attending his lectures are more engaging with examples of how it relates to the slide. Which is important because we don't have a mandatory textbook in this class. Trying in the assignments will get you a good grade and he is willing to help. Deadlines are important because there are no late work. Would recommend 8/8 !!

I liked my class with Professor Stark. He does not try to use trick questions, he looks more for understanding with the quizzes and tests he gives. The projects and research papers take time and effort, but if you put it in, he sees it.

This professor is more than happy to go over the materials with you. When it comes to tests there are no trick questions just basic understanding of the subject. If you go to class he will make sure you know everything you need to and pass easily.

He brings real world experience to the class and I felt like I was actually learning something useful whereas other professors in the college lack real experience and heavily lean on textbooks. I struggle with computers and business concepts but JT does a great job of explaining things in ways I could understand. He's also very responsive on email and seems to go out of his way to help students. I know he did for me on more than one occasion.

Lots of excel in the beginning but then you get to learn how to 3d print and make websites. Awesome class.

BADM 750 - The class was not difficult if you put the time in. All of the assignments were Pass/Fail. Though he failed few. Many of the participants didn't live up to expectations on discussions but still received full credit. I would have liked more feedback.

Professor Stark brings an engaging, practical approach. The workload is heavy but manageable if you dedicate time. Unstuckstudy AI was a great study aid alongside the required materials. Overall, a rewarding class.

I took Professor Stark while earning my EMBA a couple of years ago and recently reached out to him with a work problem not knowing if we would even respond. Not only was he responsive, he remembered where I worked and solved my issued by switching my approach entirely. I showed him some data and he pinpointed the issue. He's a legit genius.
