Class is not over yet but i know my final grade already if i get an A on the final. Prof is young and funny, but grades hard on tests and papers. But he lets you revise the papers, but doesnt tolerate cheating. Def not a normal prof and sometimes asks students to teach ideas from last class. Fun but def not an easy A.
HUM shouldnt be this hard. Class is a lot of writing an he grades hard. Visit in office 2 get help with paper. Some got a 0 for cheating. Not afraid 2 call u out in class. Not many regular homework assignment. So you need to study on your own. Test are multiple choice and short answer. Oh keep track of grade cos he forget to put them in blackboard
A few hard papers, the midterm, and the final were the majority of your grade. Very few homework assignments though and almost never used the textbook. Take notes on his lectures and the class is easy, most everything he teaches is done on power points which he made available on blackboard.
Take notes and pay attention! It is only a difficult class if you make it that way. Helpful professor; he expects his students to put in the effort.(Its called an education for a reason.)Recommend his class to all.
I took Bassetti for Intro last semester, and now Im taking him for Enlightenment/Romanticism. Intro was very easy (2 exams, presentation, portfolio project) and we barely used the textbook. But this class has way more reading and homework. Not hard just busy work. He knows his stuff, is fun, but grades papers very hard.. so be warned & proofread!
AWESOME INSTRUCTOR!!! He knows his stuff and makes it very intereseting. I thought I would hate the museum project, but found it to be an exciting and enjoyable. He it tough but FAIR. He gives you the information you need. Not a hard class at all, pay attention and you will do fine.
I was dreading this class in the beginning because it was required and the content seemed super boring, but he makes the class interesting for sure. He is funny and doesnt assign much homework or reading at all, i think we had one pop quiz at the beginning. STUDY the studyguide for tests and you will be fine. You can only miss two classes...
The best teacher I have had so far. He has the ability to teach about things I've never heard of before (or cared about) and make them interesting. Knows what he is talkig about. My fav. teacher so far. I wish he taught more classes so I could take him again.
The best teacher by far. He's one of us; he curses, tells dirty jokes and he's hot ;)lol I got an A in the class, he's not hard at all. Just take good notes because even though he gives a study guide for both exams, the questions are really about details based within the topic of the question.
Was very nice, funny, and helpful. Got the class involved so that kept it interesting. Always went over what would be on the tests. Very easy tests, they would be five essay questions and four art identification. Had to read Frankenstein for the class. Grades tests easy but is very picky with essays. Pretty hot too!
So passionate when teaching the material, and so he makes the not so interesting things become interesting. A very nice professor.
This teacher is very kind. You'll need to study hard for midterm and final (only two test grades). He provides a study guide that basically tells you everything on the tests. But study!! And don't fail the few quizzes. Not hard but hard if you don't like art. I practically bombed the midterm, but passed the final with a B, and got an overall B .
Great Professor! Very laid back, and makes the class interesting even though I hate humanities! Gave two test mid term & final. Test were kind of easy but he talks as if they are hard. No more than 2 or 3 absences allowed. He is more than flexible with his students.I must say he is one of my favorite professors I have had. He does NOT grade strict.
This professor was immensely helpful and dedicated to his students. He is quite passionate about what he teaches. He uses different forms of teaching methods to peak students interests. I would take his class "errryday errrday". He's up to speed with current trends although he may not be the best at expressing this. Amazing calligraphy skills. =)
First of all let me say that this professor is sooo handsome! He's nice and breaks the information down. This class is not an easy "A" but if you study ,pay attention and do the work you'll do fine!
I took bassetti for all his classes (intro, enlightenment/romanticism, and 20th century) and my favorite was enl/rom. He was more excited to teach that class. The other students in my 20th century class are lame and dont talk much lol and he gets mad. Compared to his intro class, there is a lot more work and reading in his others so be prepared.
Prof. Bassetti was the absolute BEST professor I've had through my college career. He is extremely well educated and makes the content easy to understand. I took him for 20th Century Humanities, not expecting much, and was completely captivated by the material. Very fair grading style. Do the work and you shall be rewarded. He is awesome.
Professor Bassetti was AWESOME! He's very informative and delivers with passion about the subject! Great professor!
Great professor. Knows a lot about what he's talking about because he's been to most of the places we learn about. Makes a boring power point sound fun and isn't afraid to make jokes with the class. I would definitely take him again!
Awesome professor! He keeps the course interesting and you learn alot. It's alot of information but as long as you take notes, pay attention and do the discussion posts which there are not that many you will be fine. I will def. be taking another one of his courses. One of my favorite classes!
He give a lot of work, but he's a pretty cool guy. He hates silence, its actually a pet peeve of his. He makes things very relate-able to students so that we're more engaged and likely to pay attention.
Makes himself readily available for questions even via Skype chat. Super nice, really easy to understand. Assigns A LOT of reading from the book; so much so that I love to read and couldn't keep up, but that didn't seem to effect my grade so...whatever. I would take one of his classes again in the future.
He is the best teacher, he knows his material and really willing to assist and help students. I am tempted to drop the class but I am glad that I had my little talked with him. Study and participate will help as well as reading or going through the power points for tests and finals. He is the best teacher so far.
He is such a great teacher. It isn't an easy A, you must do the work and study for his exams, but it's worth it. His lessons are always interesting and he's hilarious. He provides study guides for exams so you know exactly what to expect. I have no interest in art or history and I got an A in his class. Definitely sign up for him!
Super cool guy, really nice and a great presenter. Love how he posted his powerpoints from every class/chapter. You will need to read the book & participate in class so thinking is kind of mandatory to do well, but he makes himself very available for students that need help. Super funny, passionate & overall easy to listen to & watch lecture!
He's a boss. One day he recited parts of Dante inferno... in ITALIAN. He quotes alot from memory books and poems. His Enlightenment class is better than his intro, which isnt bad just more lectures than discussion. Like someone said, he grades papers hard but tests easy. PROOF READ!
He grades his papers hard. I write well and got a C of them. He picks them apart, and grades on grammar, structure, etc (not just on content). But you can rewrite 1st paper. If you want to improve as a writer, take his class. His exams are 1) multiple choice and 2) passage identification from class readings. Not easy, so you must keep up and READ.
The professor is incredibly attractive but aside from that he is a wonderful teacher. Intro to humanities is not easy to cram into 14weeks and he genuinely cares. Grades are harsh but reasonable, show up. Do the work. Don't drool.
Great guy, laid back and jokes around but knows his stuff real well. Cares about you if you care about his class. Work is difficult but if you study a good amount for the tests and pay attention/interact you'll be fine.
professor Bassetti is one of the coolest guys ever, he's super funny, his class is clear from the beginning, even tho there's a lot of work to do but you'll get a lot of points on each assignment done, test is easy. Bottom line if you're ready to work then take his class, other than that he's very helpful and ready to answer any question anytime!
Grades the papers very strict. He grades for grammar also. He let us rewrite the first paper. If you follow his advice and work hard on the rewrite, your grade and writing will improve. Cool guy. Lots of reading.
Pros- No textbook, not much homework, super down to earth, the final and midterm combined are worth the same amount as attendance. Cons- you HAVE to come to class, the midterm/final involve a lot of studying, grades aren't updated too quickly. Recommended for someone who needs to take a humanities class but doesn't want to. Easy B, hard A.
Outstanding professor that will help you out if something comes up in your life. No textbook or homework but you have to put forth effort to pass.
Couldn't have asked for a better humanities professor.
Class does require for you to study and do work but it's fairly easy if you study. No textbook, 1 paper, 1 group powerpoint presentation, no test besides midterm and final. He's really down to earth and super chill, knows his stuff and has a passion for it. He's super helpful as well and sad that I can't have him as a teacher this semester!
I came into this class not knowing anything and it was hard for me because in order to participate you needed to know about art. It was an easy B but hard to get an A. His class was boring but attendance was mandatory and was worth more than your test grade. Just attend class and do your homework and quizzes.
We mostly seemed to do presentations in his class. Everyday for each week there is always a group of 2 that presents and he would spend the rest of class teaching a lesson. We would also have open book quizzes posted on Friday due Monday before our class starts.
He's a great professor, took him over summer and really enjoyed his class. Extremely knowledgeable about the world and made the class interesting for all of his students.
Dr. Bassetti is a HARD teacher. On a paper he reviewed before I turned in and said was great, I STILL got an 87. I enjoy learning in his class but be ready to take notes and read every chapter. He will not post notes and the notes he gives in class will only be oral and written on the board. Missing a class means missing important notes.
Great professor, I wasn't looking forward to taking a humanities class but it ended up being the best class I've taken. He's pretty funny too. The class doesn't have much work but the grading is tough, I really had to work for my A.
I took him because he got pretty good reviews on this website. He may be different online, but he's a very tough grader, and his discussion posts are usually required to be 300+ words. The work load isn't too bad, there's a module due each week with a test that requires a browser you have to download, and an assignment thats 300+ words too
This course has a heavy workload but he's funny and interesting guy so he makes it bearable. Get ready to read about 50-70 pages a week, and write ALOT.
I have taken two courses with Bassetti and he was my favorite humanities professor on campus. Bassetti is hot and all but when it comes to his courses he wants engagement. He's a heavy reader and the test are long and based off of vocab and lecture. The classes are bassed off of the participation. Bassetti gives what he receives so engage!
Bassetti was pretty intimidating at first but then I sat down and spoke with him about the material and how I wasn't fully grasping it, and he totally helped me out. I took him twice and I wish I could take him to university with me. He likes communication, so if you have a problem, don't be shy to ask him for help. 100% recommend!
Really seems to love what he teaches. He's willing to help out with questions in or outside of class. Be sure to take good notes & actually read the chapters! Quizzes & tests are pretty easy if you've taken notes & read the chapters. If you disagree with his grade on an answer that you feel was right, TALK TO HIM, he'll listen & possibly change it.
Took his study abroad course to Spain with him and Professor Cole last semester and it was amazing. The course was condensed and had a lot of reading and writing, but the experience was incredible. If you have the chance to travel with him to Spain, do it. It will change your life. I wish I could travel with him again every year.
Professor Bassetti is awesome. No crazy workload. Small assignments throughout the semester that are clear and easy to complete. If you dont understand, he takes time to explain and will answer all questions. Very passionate and makes class interesting. Id say take him as many times as you can for humanities courses.
Great teacher and great class. You learn a lot if you actually pay attention. Prepares you well for every test as long as you study. Piece of cake.
Professor Bassetti is a good professor. He is passionate about what he teaches and very knowledgeable. He hates when he has to repeat himself so pay attention to his lectures! He is somewhat a tough grader but he is fair and accessible if you need any help. I would recommend him.
His lectures are enjoyable because you learn the material, but he's also funny. There was a fair amount of work. Show up and do the work and you'll pass. His discussions are easy to get involved with. He doesn't make you feel like an idiot if you answer something incorrectly. He enjoys the material, which makes the class fun. Would take again.
I took Bassetti for HUM2234. There are a lot of readings and two big essays. Classes are super chill and lectures are interesting. Lots of art and history!
I took the online class. Each week we read a chapter, took a quiz, and wrote essays. Pretty easy if you do the work. If you miss many assignments, he will withdraw you.
This professor made a required class that I'd been blowing off (HUM1020) interesting and funny. Notes are written on the board during class so being absent means you need to catch up with a classmate, but he's very understanding of the fact that his students have lives outside of school and sometimes we can't make a deadline.
Superb!
Took Bassetti for a study abroad class to Spain. There was a lot of work before travel, but it was the best experience of my life! Bassetti is easy to talk to. He treats you like a normal person, but don't let that fool you because he's tough when it comes to course work and grades.
Cool guy. Chill. Good choice.
He was an amazing professor! All of your homework assignments lead up to and prepare you for your midterm and final. if you do you HW and take good notes the midterm and final are an easy pass. It was basically like playing memory matching pictures to the information. part of the final was a take home. He's also super understanding and caring.
No extra credit. Work can be mediocre and he'd probably still give you a good grade because just because. Doesn't take ANY late work. Impossible to reach, and barely answers emails. He's usually 3-4 weeks behind in grading assignments. Other than that this class is extremely easy.
Took the course online. We had 2 to 3 assignments each week, usually one quiz based on textbook, one quiz based on a video or another assignment he posted, and usually a short writing prompt. They are definitely not difficult assignments and he is an easy grader. The calendar is set in stone, so missing quizzes means missing points. No extra credit
Favorite class so far !
GOAT!!
He is good and strict. Read the instructions carefully before you write the essay. He gave me 50% because I only used two references. Otherwise he is good and caring
i took the class online. just do the work and youll be fine. easy homework. we had to visit a museum that was cool.
This prof is awesome! He made us sitting in a circle and we spent the semester discussing various topics. Participation is a must but don't worry if you are shy because you will learn a lot just from listening. The class was very engaging and stress free. Would recommend!
Professor B is a cool dude. He is understanding if something comes up. Had a lot of great conversations in class, low stress.
Took his class online. It was pretty straight forward. Weekly assignments that are due on Mondays. We did 3 small research assignments and visited a museum which was cool. And if you miss the deadline by a few minutes, just email him the assignment.
Solid choice for a Intro to Humanities course. The professor is nice and can be funny sometimes. No surprises with him: do the work, read, participate in class and you will be fine.
Great professor. Lots of reading. Each class is a discussion of readings with questions to answer before class. Keep up with it all and you should be fine. Just don't forget like me that 10% of the paper grade comes from a meeting with him in the office..
Good. Take him youll be glad you did.
Chill prof. Take his class... and get an A before the final so you can skip it.
I enjoyed the class which I took online. The weekly work isnt too bad. He makes you go to a museum and write a report, which was fun.
This wasn't the easiest class I've ever taken, but he provided study guides to all the quizzes and gave a very clear outline on how he graded and scored papers. He is strict with office hours so you won't reach him on the weekends, so plan ahead! I'd definitely take another class with Dr B.
Professor B is a really cool guy but not the best teacher, had to drop his class due to the lack of understanding I had. His teaching is not clear and you probably wont understand a lot of what hes teaching. His notes are vague and hard to understand. I had no idea what I was learning about and the whole class didnt know either.
The course was easy. My favorite assignment was the project where you have to visit a museum and research a work of art. Not many quizzes or tests which is nice. Nice guy too.
My first online class. Professor Bassetti is very clear His expectations in each module. There was a lot of reading but the good thing was you can work ahead of the due dates so that if you get busy in life you wont be struggling to keep up in class. The readings are easy, he gives review questions to help you focus and not be lost. Great class!
Took the class online. All the assignments are available at the first day of class so you can work ahead, but he is strict about no late work. He is not a difficult grader, just do as he says in the instructions.
I took Professor Bassetti for HUM1020 over the summer. His lectures can be lengthy, but this is how you get all the notes so it's super important you go to class. It's very clear he's passionate about the subject and tries to make it entertaining. Gives good feedback on assignments and there's only a few museum trips and other homework. Very easy!
Gives a lot of work and 1k word essays every other week. If youre a full time student and work it may be hard to take this class. Im a straight A student and I work full time I struggled to keep up with his work.
This teacher is chill. Do the work how he explains get a good grade. Quizzes are super simple and yes, there are a lot of essays but you choose what you want to write about so make it easy for yourself. He's clear about emailing him and he answers so don't fret. There are discussion boards but again super simple super easy. Have a question ask him.
Nice guy. He called me on the telephone to check in on me and gave me an extension on some papers. His class isn't difficult. There are just a lot of little assignments each week and a longer art analysis paper every few weeks.
Professor Bassetti is simply the best professor Iver had, he is so caring, he worries about his students, the assignments arent tough, he makes sure you are doing good, he responds messages super fast, basically he is just the BEST professor you can have, if I could give him more than a 5, I wouldnt hesitate, I recommend him 100%
Prof Bassetti was great. You have access to all the course work and can get ahead of assignments. Quizzes are easy, the answers are all in the book. Papers and research are usually around 600 words, if you do the work it won't be that hard. Highly recommend him. I took this class online and had zero issues.
An easy class but a lot of work packed in. Do the work and follow instructions. He docked a lot of points off my essay for forgetting to quote sources. He gives a rubric to follow for the main essays. Follow that to the T. The 6 weeks summer class was rough, but the 16 week regular semester might be easier. Taking him again for HUM2234.
A solid choice and not difficult.
He's fine but the word count is too high for some of the assignments/discussions because the topics he gives always feel hard to expand on. I also suffer from terrible writers anxiety and he deducts points heavily if you don't reach the word count, so if you're not a fan of writing like me I suggest another professor.
Professor is easy going which is nice. Each week we have a module due with a quiz and a discussion board due. The readings can be hard and each week we have to write at least 300 words... some weeks are more like 900. He is an easy grader if you follow his instructions. Oh yeah, he makes you respond to discussion board posts.... which is pointless.
He is a great professor who gives good feedback. He does not give extra credit but do the work and you'll be fine. Biggest issue is the 300 minimum word for everything. Open book chapter quizzes (NO honorlock). Literally read chapter and took test at same time. Weekly optional Zoom meetings. Nice guy, loves his job, and cares for his students.
Bassetti is a great professor. There are a lot of discussions that connect the subject to what is going on today. He's an easy grader I think, but if you don't follow the instructions and the word count he takes a lot off. Lots of reading and 300 words per week to write. He has optional weekly zoom meetings that nobody goes to but me. Take him.
Professor Bassetti was AH-MAY-ZING. He opens all the Modules so you can work ahead at your own pace. He's very specific in what he requires so as long as you read the instructions and follow the assignments you will pass. He gives good feedback so you know exactly what to fix and the class is actually interesting. Favorite class ever! Take him!
if you don't like art I don't reccomend. he's a great teacher and super nice but the work was boring sometimes. some assignments have long readings but for the most part the class is easy.
This course is actually a way to learn the history of the world which I really like very much. The engagement level is not overwhelming but allows you to interact with others. It is a good course with a lot of assignments but is good.
I would highly recommend Professor Bassetti to any of my friends or others. He is very responsive and a clear communicator. Aside from being available through email, he also makes himself available through Zoom meeting for any questions or help that we may need on assignments.
This course was challenging, but the professor was great! Great feedback on assignments. The lectures were interesting- lots of videos. Quizzes were simple, but the course had a lot of writing overall.
Professor Bassetti is clear about what he asks for in assignments and gives you all the information you need. If you dont procrastinate it will be an easy A. I expected this class to be very boring to be honest. But pleasantly surprised. Its a little difficult to reply to posts when classmates dont do the assignment until the day its due.
I took Dr. Bassetti last semester. The class was completely online. It was great. All assignments are open at the start of class. There is a lot of reading, but his assignments are clear. Follow instructions or you'll lose points fast. He accepts late work but with 25% off each day it is late. There are many reflection assignments. Easy! Nice guy.
I took Professor Bassetti last semester online and it was good. You don't need to buy the textbook because he gives you the PDF. There were many discussion boards on controversial or political topics like BLM and Trump, but what I respect about him is that he never gave me a bad grade when he disagreed with me. Imagine that.
Do yourself a favor and take Prof. B! His assignments are clear and easy if you do the readings! There is one final project that you can personalize to your talents. All the modules are open on Day 1 so you can take the course at your own pace. The discussions are simple and fun to do! He answers his emails promptly and wants to see you succeed!!
Highly recommend Professor Bassetti. Research is required, but the assignments are not bad at all. Apply yourself and youll be fine.
Follow all instructions and pass. Great professor.
The word counts for the research paper are ridiculous. He is a tough grader and gives little feedback on what you did wrong. To figure out what you did wrong, you have to email him. He is very rude and gives you an attitude. He does not care about your grade.
The research paper has three sections of 300 words each. I guess that is a lot for some people lol. Great class with clear instructions but follow them to a t. Professor uses a rubric on all assignments and writes a lot of helpful comments actually. He also tells us to email him if we have more questions. Nice guy, gave me an extension when I asked
I wish I could take another class by him but Im transferring to UCF in the fall!! As long as you do the work and turn things in, he isnt a tough grader, so long as you show effort in the work. If you need a HUM class, take his!! He left comments on everything I did and I never felt unsure of my grade. Awesome teacher!! Highly recommend!!
No expensive book!! Everything is included. There are interesting discussion boards and quizzes each week. Some weeks are lighter than others. Follow the instructions and just try and youll probably get a good grade. I didnt find him to be a tough grader. Straight forward class and grading.
Class runs like clock work. All assignments are open from day one and it is clear what you need to do to get a good grade. Work is due every Tuesday, but there is a big late work penalty each day the work is late. Follow the instructions and do the work and you will be fine. He tries to make the old readings relevant by connecting it to today.
Dr. Bassetti was a great teacher and his HUM1020 class was an easy A as long as you do your assignments and follow instructions. Highly recommend taking his class is available. Weekly discussions, 3 papers, and creative project throughout course. Passed class with 100%.
I had Professor Bassetti online and I loved this class! There was no book needed, he graded really well and there are no surprises from the syllabus to the way class is run/graded. You have assignments due every Tuesday, but they are all open from the moment class starts. Lots of discussions and he always responds. I wish I could have him again!
No textbook required, he provides all the videos and readings. He is an easy grader and provides great feedback. He is an awesome Professor, take him!
Amazing Professor. Gave amazing feedback for every assignment. Very understanding. Overall great class to take.
Was an excellent teacher and enjoyed being in this class!! Would definitely take again :)
The class was very interesting, and I feel like I learned a lot. The time period covered in this class was the one I really wanted to know more about. The class was straight forward with no surprises. The only was not to pass this class is by not complaining every assignment.
This professor is amazing! lectures, resources, the way he explains the humanities is exceptional. He guides you in a non-biased way whre you'll think about current matters and connect them with the past. Every week he gives you an easy quiz(if you read)and a discussion. You'll have a mid-term (another discussion) a final & a term paper of a book.
Every Tuesday assignments are due. The textbook is so much help, especially with quizzes, online, untimed and you can take them as many times as you want. Along with discussion posts. I think this class is really easy and the professor is great! If you have the opportunity to take him in person, I encourage you to do so.
This professor was awesome! I've learned so many new things while taking this class. Even to this day I am still interested into learning more about the Ancient Roman history. I took this course during fall of 2021.
All the discussion and homework assignments that we were given was so much fun to learn. I wish more Professors were like him, he found the perfect balance of making the course fun and enjoyable yet very informative. I loved critiquing all the arts that we did. Learned so many great artists and different time periods of Humanities advancement.
Loved the class, super interesting! Gives a little too much homework but super easy to do!
Prof is really nice, gives good feedback. All quizzes can be found online and final was a writing assignment. Make sure to be accurate with MLA format in assignments. EASY EASY A. Do not be late with work.
TERRIBLE PROFESSOR! DOES NOT CARE FOR YOU AT ALL! HE TAKES AWAY POINTS FOR NO REASON! THE WORK IS RIDICULOUS AND REDUNDANT! DO NOT TAKE PROFESSOR BASSETTI, SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!
Prof. Bassetti is more than fair. Do the work, participate in discussions and truly soak in the information- this course is awesome and should be taught in grade school. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and am not the brightest crayon in the box, so if I can pass with an A, you can too!
Amazing professor. Very professional!
Professor Bassetti was very nice and left great feedback on all my work. The class is very easy if you keep up with it, don't procrastinate or you will be overwhelmed.
I took Mr. Bassetti's 1020 HUM course. The class is straightforward. Just complete the work on time, read the chapters, and you'll get an A. He's also pretty cool and some of the assignments, at least for me, were interesting.
If you are looking for a straightforward, easy, and interesting class, take this professor! He has all the assignments open from the beginning and the assignments are fun. Do not procrastinate or you will not enjoy this class. You are given more than enough time for each assignment. Professor Bassetti is amazing! TAKE HIM!!
Great professor and extremely easy class. My only complaints are the course requirements say his class needs a textbook so I bought it just to find out he doesn't use it, some other students had the same problem. Along with that the class can be a little boring. He's very straight forward and doesn't assign much work at all. Be prepared to read.
No words really. Professor Bassetti has great assignments that will really make you think and reconsider previous misconceptions about ideas in history. He is a man of his word and is willing to communicate regardless of how difficult of a time you are going through. 10/10 Professor.
Assignments are due Monday and Wednesday night. Sometimes there are long readings. But everything is pass/fail. Easy class and nice guy.
No textbook, he provides all the materials which was nice. Quite a lot of discussion posts, reading, and writing assignments but all easy and expectations always stated clearly. He's an easy grader and the class went super smoothly for me, I recommend.
This professor was one of the best I have had compared to what my friends have told me about him. He keeps it real and is very understanding when explaining his assignments. I like this professor because he wants people to not be "sheep" and to think for themselves. Just apply yourself as you would with any other class and stop complaining.
Jeremy was one of the best professors I have had. He is really smart and really like to teach.
I loved Professor Basseti's class! The class was very interesting and we learn a lot of real life lessons in this class. I recommend that you take this class!
He is so amazing and witty. He keeps the whole class entertained although at times he will call on you. He is very funny and cares a lot about his students. The work load is not that much but easy. As long as you put in effort you WILL pass! There were 2 research papers and a presentation you give on an artwork of your choice at the end of semester
He's very funny lots of dark humor. This class was easy, and the assignments are pretty straight forward. A lil reading and a 10 question quiz 2x a week. There are 2 big research papers on a artwork, which he provides help with looking for research. A presentation of your last paper is your "final exam" and, museum visit reflection. Attend class!
Doctor B. is a very caring instructor and is a very good instructor of humanities. Make sure you ask questions and engage with the discussions. This class was amazing. A few discussions post and a museum final project at the end. Just keep up with your assignments and make sure to do the project. (A visit to an Art Muesum) you will pass.
He's a chill and relatable dude. Very clear on what he wants, but he does enough for you to help you figure it out for yourself. He's very clear on his grading, easiest A of my life, don't stress about it.
I highly recommend taking Mr. Bassetti's class! As a shy person who likes minimum work, I didn't talk much during his classes. He's understanding, funny, and passionate. The classwork is easy, and the quizzes are simple and easy if you study. Just do the readings beforehand, and you'll do great!
This class was a very easy A. As long as you read each passage and do what's required of you, you will pass. The quizzes are extremely easy as long as you study before. He is very funny and understanding. Great professor!
Amazing professor! Weekly quizzes and discussions, Midterm and Final simply ask to explain favorite parts about the course, but there is a Term Paper on Frankenstien, however, I could literally get a 50 on it an still pass the class with an A that's how perfectly easy the class was this semester. Take him, take him!
Professor B. is a witty and engaging instructor. The workload is reasonable, with a few papers and a museum visit. Unstuck AI was helpful for prepping. Attend class and you'll do well!
The way he does his lectures is very nice. He is very good at explaining and there is not a lot of work in the class, just in class quizzes, super easy. The issue I have with him is he never replies to messages. He does not give feedback on quizzes, i'll get a 60 and never know what I did wrong which was annoying. Other than that he is nice.
Prof B was so fun and he makes his discussions very engaging. Such an understandable teacher when I had a family/friend matter he excused me and gave me a deadline to make up my grade. You must attend class to get a good grade. The quizzes are not hard just study and attend class and you pass. Very great prof definitely take his class.
Assignments are mostly all writing, but the professor provides great feedback. Some assignments ask you to reflect on your favorite things you've learned in the class. Overall, I highly recommend this class.
Would take him again for my other humanities classes! He makes the class engaging and you can tell he is interested in what he's teaching. A normal amount of assignments with a good amount of reading (weekly assignments). Highly recommend!
Actually wanted to wake up to go to his class. I missed class twice the whole semester, and it wasn't an issue, which I love. The first class of the week is discussion-based, which was fun. I would totally take his class again if I had to. 10/10 would recommend
I actually wanted to wake up to come to this class. He's so nice and communicates the material well. A lot of useful information about history and art. Once a week there is a class based solely on discussion of the homework due that day. It was a great class with an even better professor 10/10 would recommend.
Your grade is primarily made up of discussion posts. There can be multiple in one week and these is a minimum word count of 150 words for the original post. He has a grading rubric for discussion post replies. Midterm and Final are just essay questions. There's a term paper on Frankenstein. Oh, and there's 1-2 quizzes a week. Nothing too bad.
Accidentally took an accelerated course, and dreaded it at first. Instead, I found myself looking forward to this class more than any other I registered for last semester. The readings were super interesting and everyone in class was really invested in the discussions too. Professor Bassetti made dense topics super easy to understand!
Amazing teacher, only 3 assignments a week, all due on Wednesday, answers emails very quickly, and is so nice. I've gotten a hundred on every assignment, and there are no tests. 10/10 recommend I would take him again.
This class was pretty entertaining and straightforward! The professor was very understanding when it came to late work. Attendance is mandatory!
