Awesome Teacher. Great guy, took marriage skills from him, and it was good. He uses books not textbooks so it is cheaper and he is just a fun teacher. Take a class from him. Was a little bit of extra work with making a poster, but I got a good grade.

Good guy, great teacher, but heavens to murgatroid, if you don't show up on time to take those stupid quizzes, your grade will suffer the pains of a damned soul.

He is an amazing teacher. He is so funny and I love how he doesn't use textbooks so it makes it much cheaper. As long as you read the chapters you will get a great grade. He has quizzes and an assignment due every class period but niether are difficult. you will love him, I promise.

Good class, and while you learn interesting info, there are a lot of common-sense random facts taught that just seem so irrelevent. I have mixed feelings about the class, but all in all, I'd recommend it, and Jeremy's a great guy.

Awesome guy and super funny. If you are good at attending class, and don't mind writing super short easy papers this is a good class. His religion does influence his teaching, but he stands in his "opinion corner" when stating his opinions. Non-biased towards non-LDS kids. He does not openly teach church doctrines either. Great class.

Jeremy is awesome! By far my favorite professor for the semester. I really liked his opinion corner, I could relate very well because he added his personal life along with the curriculum which was more effective. Interesting topics and always kept class fun! Highly recommend taking this class!

I took the marriage and relationship class from this profesor. It was course work intensive. Probably wrote around 90 pages of writing but it was well worth it. I learned so much. It was the best class I have ever taken!

Jeremy is a good teacher and likes to provide you with good examples. There was quite a bit of group work for this class - every day you have a quiz with your group as well as an individual quiz. He's an easy going guy most of the time. This is my second class with him and by far I enjoyed the FAMS 1150 class much better compared to this one.

The "textbooks" were "How to Avoid Falling in Love with a Jerk" and "Fighting for Your Marriage" we had chapters assigned and then would take an easy open-book quiz on them. These books were great! Jeremy is an awesome guy, too. He always shares personal stories that make class more interesting. Take this class from Jeremy!

I'm changing my major because of this class and teacher! He's super laid back and makes the whole experience enjoyable and simple to understand. Papers are just opinions and personal experiences and if you really care about what you're studying, he'll give you 100%. My favorite class by far.

This has been one of my favorite classes. Jeremy's lectures are interesting and really pull you in. He has a decent amount of work and his syllabus looks scary at first but it's all really manageable and there are so many points that it's okay if you miss a few here and there. I have learned more in this class than any other course I've taken.

Jeremy is so cool! He's super funny and tells good stories. I was in his Marriage and Family Relationship Skills class and I absolutely loved it. The assignments weren't super challenging, and they were fun to do. Pop quizzes sometimes but if you read the chapter you'll pass easily. No tests. Take home final- open notes, open book. Easy A!

Jeremy was a great professor! He is friendly and easy-going. There are a few writing assignments, but they are not too much to handle. I learned a lot from his lectures about the subject and about myself. He offers a lot of extra credit, too. I never had lower than 100%. Whether you are married or single, this is an awesome class to take from him!

Jeremy was an incredible professor. I have taken a couple classes from him and am amazed at how passionate he is for the subject he's teaching. The class discussion is very helpful and allows for people to bring up many points. Reading is highly important for the class, but the books are easy to follow and enjoyable to read.

I would recommend this class to EVERYBODY. It is so interesting and you can really apply it to your life (whether your single or married), he makes the lectures super engaging and interesting, and has the best stories. There really is only one "test" and several quizzes, and the assignments are a piece of cake and (kinda) fun to do.

I'm not a fan of school in general, but I hated missing class. The "textbooks" were fascinating and enjoyable to read, and our assignments were primarily interviewing people in different relationship stages to help us learn what works and what doesn't. Jeremy knows his stuff, and he's so fun to listen to! I'm recommending him to ALL of my friends.

This was an awesome class! Dr. Boden is an dynamic teacher and very passionate about this subject. There's quite a bit of reading and assignments but they are fun, interesting and 100% applicable to life which I thought made them pretty easy. I think this class should be required for any one that is or plans to be in a healthy relationship.

Jeremy is very easy-going. He cares a lot about his students and loves what he does. He's very respectful. He teaches well, his lectures are interesting and he always has examples to back up what he's teaching. His assignments are straight forward and you best be doing your reading, or else you won't get as much out of the class as you could.

Dr. Boden is very knowledge and has great experiences to share from his own practice. This class in particular- human sexuality - can be a really difficult/sensitive topic and I feel that he did a great job in presenting the material. Always felt very comfortable.

I had heard amazing things about this class and professor but in reality I think the batch of students we had were just uptight. I didn't feel I learn much in this class. I honestly was expecting more. Yet he is a good professor, busy guy so overall this class was alright!

Jeremy Boden is an absolute GIFT to the UVU family studies department. Brilliant guy and so funny. He is a marriage and family therapist and uses examples from his clinical work to explain concepts in class, which is awesome. Can't talk him up enough. I wouldn't recommend skipping class because you use a lot of in-class content on assignments.

Boden is seriously one of the best professors I've ever had. You want to go to class every week and never miss a lecture. He is passionate about what he talks about and keeps class so fun and interesting. I learned so much and assignments were never too hard and he's a fairly easy grader. Jeremy was a great lecturer and wonderful teacher. He was so entertaining and clear about his expectations! A lot of reading was required, but he did accept skimming of the material for credit. Be prepared to write many papers, but the topic of papers is your life experiences which made it a lot more bearable.

If you show up and do the readings you will be completely fine. The assignments are clearly explained. This class was by far the best class I took at UVU.

Prof. Boden is a good teacher. He is passionate on what he teaches and shares that enthusiasm with the class. He expects you to work. He has quizzes on the textbook readings but there are other readings you will need to do. He always involves the class in any lecture and encourages questions throughout the lecture.

I love Jeremy as a teacher! This was one of THE best classes I have taken so far! He makes it so interesting and applicable. There is a lot of reading, but it was always enjoyable! There are several short papers and reading quizzes, but he is super straight forward about expectations and you can definitely get an A if you read and come to class!

Loved Professor Boden and his class! Homework was due every other Sunday, but make sure to work on it throughout the week because it's a decent amount. Lots of textbook reading and quizzes. As long as you do the reading and turn in your work on time you'll be totally fine. Plus you have two weeks between everything so there's really no excuse.

What a great class and teacher! You'd think that this class would be awkward, but he did a fantastic job making this class comfortable, exciting & interesting. Honestly I learned so many new useful things from this class that are applicable to real life. Just make sure you don't do the hw last minute, but throughout the week as there is a lot!

FAMS 2800 was my favorite class I've taken. I loved Jeremy and his teaching style. He is very interactive and the classes are irreplaceable. I always regretted missing and that is rare. Assignments were on topic, group work was manageable and you are given plenty of time to finish.

I took FAMS 1150 online as a block class and I loved it! Professor Boden is very passionate about this topic and makes assignments that are enjoyable to do. You do have to read a lot, but the books are actually really good!! Great class if you want to learn how to have a successful relationship for dating and marriage. Overall, pretty easy class :)

I really loved Dr. Boden as a professor. He really knows his stuff and has a way with making extremely uncomfortable topics comfortable. I have learned a ton, but I have been a bit disappointed by the excessive homework and projects. We have 3 final projects plus a final exam. I am normally a straight A student, but I have not been able to keep up.

Professor Boden is the best! You can tell that he really cares about what he is teaching and has a lot of knowledge about it. You do write quite a few papers in this class but they are really short and simple if you try not to procrastinate. There are "textbooks" but they are pretty easy and actually fun to read, and I don't normally like to read.

I loved this class from Jeremy, he's a really good professor! I'm excited for his FAMS2800 class. This class is made up of reading, quizzes on each chapter, a reflection paper for every module, and interviews + response papers. It's a lot of writing which I really liked. He grades a lot more on application of material than random memorization.

He's great. I could not recommend a professor more! He is so fun to learn from, & you'll really learn. Of course this class seemed odd registering, but it might arguably be one of my favorite classes I've taken thanks to Jeremy. He's down to earth, knowledgable, and focused on helping you to come away from his class a better and wiser person.

Jeremy Boden is not only my favorite professor I've had in college, but possibly my favorite teacher I've ever had in school. He is personable, a gifted presenter, and offers meaningful insights with each lecture. He has a way of connecting with his students and cares deeply about what he teaches. I love Jeremy! I've taken his FAMS 1150 and FAMS 2800 and loved both. Classes are fun and easy to learn in. Assignments are very applicable to what we are learning. Not just busy work, but valuable information. Class is interactive, so if you don't want to engage with other students and learn things, do not take his classes:) I highly recommend it!

Dr. Boden is awesome. You learn some of the most interesting statistics and topics in this class. He is very knowledgable about the topic, but also about what students need. He is very helpful and gives great insights to each student. He was fairly tough on grading the papers, but if you listen to his recommendations, you will do just fine.

This is the most influential and inspiring class I have ever taken. The content is amazing and he teaches in an interactive way. He is passionate about the subject which is rare in college teachers. He also really cares about his students and understanding and approachable when we have questions or concerns. My life was changed from this class!

Effective class outlines. You have two weeks to finish all the homework, which could easily be done within a single week, although there is no way to get ahead. Easy A if you are willing to read multiple chapters and take notes on them. Lectures are also very engaging, but there is a bi-weekly essay assignment of about two pages.

Overall just a fantastic professor. Responds to messages. Clearly communicates. And generally wants to see his students succeed.

Dr. Boden was such an amazing professor and also was so passionate about the subject which made the classes so interesting. There was a lot of quizzes that needed to be done but if you make sure to read them the quizzes are not very hard. There was a total of five papers, and they weren't very complicated or long.

Dr. Boden lectures were so interesting even though I took them online. The papers a long but they are very manageable, make sure you are watching the videos and looking at the examples for the assignments and you will do very well in the class. The quizzes are not too hard but there is a good amount so make sure you read the chapters!

His assignments are awesome and really help you to understand. His lectures are entertaining and he is really nice. His grading is fairly easy. Attendance matters, but he won't count several absences to your participation grade! He is so chill and understanding. He loves questions, making class interesting. Take this class or professor.

Dr. Boden is awesome! I took Marriage and Relationship Skills from him and it was such a good class! He doesn't take attendance but you give yourself participation points (basically attendance). His lectures are very interesting and engaging. There are about 8 papers you have to do, but they're not very hard. No textbooks- just two short books.

Professor Boden loves teaching! It shows in the time he puts into his lectures, types of assignments, and comments he leaves on homework. I LOVED this class. I learned so much about myself and relationships, and genuinely enjoyed the homework that we did for class. I would recommend him as a teacher to anyone!

He was good, but I think one thing that was hard was that he would give you feedback and when you edited your paper using his suggestions he'd still give you the same grade, so it seemed kind of pointless for the last paper to make all these changes and get the same grade. He was very accessible to reach over email/canvas! Overall good experience.
