He's a nice teacher always willing to help his students to make sure they understand math... and get a passing grade
Amazing teacher!!!!!! His lectures are very easy to understand and he is extremely patient with his students.
The class itself is not very difficult, but Professor Goodman always makes sure to help out anyone with homework/classwork. The tests are the exact same as the review/practice tests. He is always willing to meet with students during office hours. Goodman is a genuinely caring professor who wants to see his students succeed.
Prof. Goodman is an awesome professor. He will slow down the class if the class isn't understanding the material. His lectures are amazing because he does the examples with you. Instead of a study guide, he gives his students practice exams. He uses the practice exams to create the exam, so there aren't any surprises. Prof. Goodman wants us to pass
Dear Professor Goodman, Junayet here. You are an amazing friend! You've helped your student out a lot, and want to see them succeed. You give us great feedback and help us when needed. You go out of your way to tutor us during office hours. Thank you so much for an amazing semester. I would highly reccomend this class. Very helpful.
BEST math class EVER! I am terrible at Math, but with extra effort and this amazing professor, I passed with flying colors. Goodman WANTS you to learn and to pass! He's very passionate when he teaches, and will do anything to help you. Don't be afraid to ask questions and go to the TLC after class for one on one help. Homework and quizzes matter.
Really amazing prof! Math is definitely not my strong suit (taking his class was the second time I had to take math 60 due to not getting a passing grade), and I got a B! He was super friendly, his lectures were fun and clear, he made the material fun and enjoyable to learn. Really bummed I couldn't take him again for this semester :/
He was really great. He really helps his students. Takes time to answer questions whenever students are lost or confused. I took him for the Trig/Precalc PAL class, which was very fast-paced and compact and still managed to get As for both classes. All his lectures are relevant, so I recommend attending all classes.
Had a horrible experience with previous math professor before. Made me feel like math was not doable. Professor Goodman completely changed my mentality. Color codes his notes, gives great lectures and information, gives class work so you can have him help you one on one! Loves his job. Very organized. VERY CLEAR and explains well.
Great math professor. Clear grading criteria and standards. Really helps you out and makes sure you know the material.
Professor Goodman seems like a good man, and a good professor, that is if you go into his class knowing physics and being well acquainted with the third dimension. If youre not, its is very easy to lose track of what he is talking about. Then you end up get stuck trying to catch up on the previous 3D knowledge, as well as all of the new material.
His exams are very difficult, not impossible, but very challenging. You really have to know the material VERY well to get an A. Does not give out study guides, test questions come from the book. If you've used Stewart's Calculus book, you know how difficult the homework problems can be. Not sure why this professor is rated so high.
this guy is a grading machine!!!! i stopped half way through one homework question because i was confused and he caught me than refused to give me the points for the assignment. does not drop your lowest exam score!! brags about how hard his tests are. stay away!!
This class is TOUGH! That being said, the professor provides very thorough explanations and visuals that helped me understand the material. You have to be extremely dedicated to do well, and even though I didn't get the grade I hoped for, I feel like I learned a ton. I recommend to anyone who really wants to learn, and is willing work.
He will test you on every concept in the entire book. Tests are very challenging. I felt he made the class much more difficult than what it needed to be. Avoid if you can, unless you want a serious challenge.
Very clear and organized lectures. He tells you exactly what is going to be on the tests, so make sure to attend class. Makes great connections to previous math classes as well as real world applications. I will definitely take again.
Very nice but a very tough grader. Had many office hours and extra credit. Extra credit doesn't do anything. Did the most for this class and still got a D.
Prof. Goodman was great! I took the short term class for trig and I learned a lot from his class. He's a nice guy and he genuinely wants his students to succeed. He walks around during classwork and makes sure that everyone understands what they're doing. He's a cool guy and passionate about math. Definitely recommend him!
He is the best teacher, He explains the concepts very good. Jeremy knows a lot math. I recommend him!!!
Even though it was a shirt term class. I had a lot of fun conversations. Good lectures and you can ask questions on homework or on practice exam questions too when getting ready for the chapter and final exams.
Great guy, but not my type of professor. He doesn't explain the topics in detail and expects you to already know much of the material he is supposed to teach. He puts trick questions on the tests and does high school teacher stuff like randomly collecting homework. I dropped him and went with another professor and got an A.
He's a nice guy but his teaching practices and methods are in dire need of reform. As an aspiring teacher myself, I can say that this instructor is not the best. Extra credit does nothing to enhance your grade, he collects hw at random, tests are VERY hard. Lectures don't help much. Best to avoid if you can.
The class is difficult and you definitely need to work to get a good grade. The homework isn't overwhelming, but it can be hard if you don't pay attention in class. The tests are really challenging and basically determine the final grade. Overall, hes a good person but he makes tests and material harder than it really needs to be.
Goodman relies a lot on his tests for the final grade and the study guides don't help that much. He doesn't care if you slack off in class, but in order to get a good grade, you have to attend class and pay attention. But, he has extra credit on tests and his lectures are pretty okay.
Very nice guy, he's just a very challenging math instructor. Tests are borderline unfair; you really REALLY need to know the material inside and out to get an A. He adds trick questions to his exams. He really knows his stuff and he expects a lot out of you as a student. Honestly, he'd make a better math tutor than a teacher.
Incredibly friendly, sweet man, but holy cow are his tests hard. lectures are straight from the book and are not bad, but not great. checks if you did every hw problem. As the previous comments have said, he makes the class much harder than what it really needs to be.
Goodman's teaching style was bland and his tests were hard. Even though he is one of the better precalc teachers at COC his lectures were confusing at times. The layout of his class is very repetitive, he usually does hw questions, and then the lecture. Make sure to spend a lot of time studying for the tests.
He is a nice guy and a caring professor who actually cares about your success as a student. He is NOT an easy A but if you are serious about your grade the material he teaches is not impossible to get, although sometimes it is presented in a manner that is more challenging then it needed to be. Only if you are STEM major would I recommend him.
This was my last chance for passing this class and Goodman helped me through it. I failed it twice before, and worked so hard this time and got a B! I can't believe it! He really helped me to understand it. Comparing his exams to the other two times, they are about the same difficulty, but Goodman offers extra credit on the tests.
hard professor that will try to trick you on his tests. he's nice at first, but nasty when test time comes. don't be fooled by good review like i was, take classes with another professor
Hes a very nice guy and it seems like you know what you are doing before the tests but once its test time he would throw trick questions and it messed up my grade big time so I had to drop it
Professor Goodman is really good at breaking down mathematical problems. He likes for the students to try first on working in class work. After the class work has been done. He will ask for what the answers could be. He then goes and shows why an anwer worked or did not work. I hated math before but he was very helpful and understanding.
Hardest class I ever took. I'm no math wiz, but it shouldnt have been THIS hard. Teaches only through examples, puts surprise questions on the test not discussed in class, assigns tons of homework he says he will collect but doesn't. I'm an almost straight A student, this class messed up my GPA. Most of the class dropped, I wish I did. DO NOT TAKE.
Dont take his class, although he's a nice guy, he makes the class much harder then it needs to be. Even if you do the study guide, the test ends up being something much different with trick questions. Avoid if you can
He's nice, but his tests were much harder than the content taught as well as the study guide. The study guides barely covered everything on the tests.
Tough class, but exams were almost exactly like the study guides. If you do all of your homework, you should be fine.
Professor Goodman explains the concepts so that you can understand instead of just getting right answers. There were no trick questions on the exams, but the extra credit problems were tough sometimes. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.
He seems really nice but his tests were way too hard and he explains based solely on the book and doesn't explain using his own words. At first I thought I just wasn't understanding the concepts but it turns out he just explains poorly and the tests are harder than they need to be
Goodman is nice, but a lot of people failed his tests. The layout is HW ?s first and then the lecture which gets boring, and the size of the class is so big that you feel insignificant. In my calc class there is way less people and I am doing better. Goodmans tests are pretty hard. His teaching style did not work for a lot of students.
Goodman gives great lectures and focuses on why things work as opposed to just telling you to memorize the formula, like they do in high school. He gives practice tests that are similar to the tests, so do those and your homework and it should be an easy A! If you don't do your work, you should expect the tests to be hard.
He is the worst professor! His lectures and study guides are nothing like the test. Would spend hours studying and would still struggle on test. do not take!
Here's how I'm getting an A... I do my homework, take notes during class, and ask questions when I need help. For his tests, study the definitions and theorems in the book and from lecture. If you aren't willing to put in the work, don't take this class! Also, this whole remote thing from Covid sucks, but he is doing a great job with it.
Professor Goodman does an outstanding job at navigating students through a difficult course. The way he explains material is very clear. On top of that, if you do have a question he always has a very thoughtful answer for you. Due to COVID this course was moved online, yet Goodman continued to strive at being the best math teacher he could be.
He's awesome! Not an easy A, but definitely achievable. He really wants you to understand the best each student can. Does his best to make material clear, organized, and understandable. I've heard him answer every question kindly and with sincerity. Credit for doing HW, even if incorrect. Gives EC on exams. Helpful with grading style.
He is so unclear with what he expects us to know for the tests. He literally gave us a study guide of over 50 different concepts for a test of 10 QUESTIONS. He's a nice guy, but his teaching style is not the best. He also makes his tests REALLY hard... test questions are very vague. Beware...
I think he is the best professor, I don't even know English very well but during that time I understood everything! take him! lots of homework but if he see your effort he will try to help you. Study and you will pass!
Only explained what was in the book nothing else. Lot of homework and didnt even collect all of it for credit. Practice exams nothing like the actual exams. He makes the exams so much harder than they need to be. Will lecture you until you fall asleep but nothing that you will get tested on.
Awesome professor and really down to earth. He's always willing to help and explain no matter how simple the question might be. Pretty basic, do-able hw. Got a used previous edition textbook from Amazon and did just fine. Study guide is very similar to exam so ask any and all questions (: good luck!
Pat attention, ask for feedback, ask for help, do the work or you wont pass. He is caring and will give you all his attention. Definitely taking him again for another math class.
Professor Goodman is a solid choice if you're looking to actually learn the material he provides. While I do agree that he definitely is a harder professor than others, it's because you can tell he's passionate about his students and the material. If you're in a major that requires a lot of math, take him. If not, look elsewhere.
It's clear that Goodman knows his stuff, and is very good at breaking it down so you can understand. If you are taking Linear Algebra, then you probably need it for your major and career, and if you take Goodman, you will get a great foundation. His exams are pretty straight forward, except sometimes for extra credit problems, but they're doable.
Took him during Spring 2020 and he handled the transition to online like a champ. Clearly cared about us and wanted to work with us during a very difficult semester. He asked for feedback at the end and took it to heart. Math is tough so you can't expect an easy A. If you put in the work you will pass, and he'll work with you if you're struggling.
Professor Goodman does a great job answering questions-- and expanding his explanations if needed. He truly cares about his students, and is great with communication.
Dude is a breath of fresh air in a world where many math professors lecture straight out of the book. He remembers what it was like being a student and doesn't assign too many homework problems. In a class like Linear Algebra, each homework problem can take an hour or more so that one is big.
I love him!!!! 10/10 would love to have him as my professor again. He makes sure everyone understands and he makes himself available to us for office hours if we need anymore help. Math has always been a tough subject for me and he taught me Trig and I actually understood most of it . The work load is a lot but its a math class so that was expected
He teaches the material well but he makes the exams way harder than anything you'll do in class. The professor expects you to master trig by the time the final is given anything less and you'll get a bad grade. I would consider picking another professor that gives more appropriate exams.
I took his class in the spring and I find out the lectures, homework an test were too much for me. The lectures were long and quite boring and if you have to take the support(math 092) it becomes a 4 hour math class plus the 1 hour worth in handouts and the tough tests and the homework on canvas. Take him but be prepare for the immense work
Professor Goodmans class was clearly laid out at the beginning of the class. His lectures are great resources and allowed me to not have to rely on the book for everything. If I had a question about something he was quick to respond via email too. Altogether, his class was good and his quizzes/tests reflected the material that was taught.
I decided to take him as my freshman year trig professor. Huge mistake. He assigns way too much work every week, and completing lesson handouts adds at least another hour of work on top of that. The assignments and exams have barely anything to do with the lecture material. If you want to be stressed out every week, take him.
He has video lectures that have very helpful examples. You are required to complete handouts for each video, which is just following along, taking notes and doing some practice problems. The homework isn't bad. Tests are easy if you understood the homework. He's also very responsive via email, and always willing to zoom to help. Great prof!
Professor Goodman is a very sweet and incredibly smart individual. He taught his class well and the lectures were informative. It was the homework that was hell. Expect 10-15 assignments on average weekly and no time to do anything in your other classes. Also his tests felt impossible. He also likes to assign HW on the day of the final exam. Awful.
Best professor hands down! Each week there are 2-3 video lectures (with handouts), 3-6 computer assignments (which are pretty easy), and a quiz. He goes over a ton of examples in class and always gives time for HW questions. No trick questions on exams, so if you study you will do fine. Final exam can replace one of the other tests! Best Prof!
Take him if you want to learn. Don't if you are looking for an easy A. Nuff said. A lot of my classmates and I worked hard and were able to earn A's.
This class is really challenging, but if your focused you can do it & get an A. This professor is the best math teacher I've ever had. The lecture videos are really clear & help u focus on key objectives. HMW helps with exams! Prof engages with class & cares if you understand. All the tricks he teaches help u in higher math classes!
10-15 homework problems per section. Tests are 10x harder than the homework and review combined. Lectures way to fast to write everything down and doesnt give you a chance to understand. Will repeats things if asked but Just moves on very quickly. Tests are proctored. Final can replace an exam score.
I'm going to be completely honest with everyone. I really did think I was going to fail this class but somehow got a B. The amount of homework was insane to me. I was sometimes sitting down for over a 6 hours a day trying to complete the homework. He gives lecture notes to turn in and they don't help at all. They just and take up hours of your tim
Be prepared to do an excessive amount of homework for this class. Even though my class was all online I would be sitting at my computer for hours trying to finish 5 plus assignments that were 20 questions long. The test and quizzes are nothing like the homework you spend hours doing. His lecture videos are a waste of time and paper.
although he was very nice and accessible through emails, his class was hw heavy, with many of the lecture videos not matching what the homework material was actually on, and tests being even harder with problems he never went over. i only passed because i got outside tutoring
Professor Goodman is awesome! Don't let people scare you away by saying the tests are too hard - sounds like sour beans. The tests were fair and the averages for his tests were mostly in the high 70s to mid 80s. He is great at explaining the concepts. Just make sure to do all of your homework!
I took this class online. I spent about 10-15 hours a week on the assignments, which isn't too bad for a 4 unit online class. What was great was the only assignment during exam weeks was an exam review, so you can spend all your time studying for the test. Lowest test can get replaced by the final exam.
Professor Goodman is great at explaining trig in a way that I could understand. The course was hard for me, but his online videos helped because I could pause them and rewatch them anytime I needed to. He was quick to reply whenever I had questions. So glad I took his class!
Prof Goodman is a fantastic teacher. I took his trig class over the summer and he was super understanding and kind. He was always available via email and answered any questions I had. His exams are a bit difficult, but if you know the material you'll do just fine. I wouldn't worry about him at all, he's a nice guy and a great professor.
Professor Goodman is not a bad professor, but his class is overwhelming, especially if you're not great at Math. I struggled with this class so much that I had to withdraw. Exams and quizzes are about 55% of your grade, hw is only 10%!!! This is ridiculous because you spend hours completing 6 HW assignments per chapter. NO open notes or calculator
Professor Goodman might be the greatest math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are super clear, and he manages to make the hardest math concepts very easy to understand. He does give a lot of homework, but it is do-able, and is not worth too much of your grade. He is an amazing professor, and by the end of the semester you WILL know math.
Wonderful Professor. He effectively communicates what you need to know. He sets up his class so that you will be challenged; however, after his class, you will be prepared for the other classes you will have to take.
test or quiz every class
I'm currently taking his class. You're supposed to read/have some knowledge of the material before attending the lecture. Very fast paced. Tests are only a few questions, but are challenging. One time there was a question of a topic that we never learnt about (if you knew it, you knew it). He even removed a question because it was "too easy."
I'm taking Calc 1 with him right now. He lectures are so organized, but he also takes time to answer all of our questions. He provides study guides for exams, which are somewhat helpful, but he gives tips during class about what to focus on. He makes math super fun and is very nice. I hope to take him again.
he teaches the material good, but his tests are very challenging. they often only have 5 problems and they are usually nothing like his examples or the homework he assigns. his study guides are also no help because he doesnt create his own study guides and the ones he posts have lots of errors. he does give partial credit though on tests.
He is a good professor and he teaches the material really well. However, his tests are very difficult, being only a few questions and study guides aren't much help. But, he does sometimes remove difficult questions on the tests. Pay attention during class, do textbook problems, and study well for the tests and this class shouldn't be too difficult.
Altho others may say he doesnt explain well, calc 1 is just tough in general. pay attention, dont procrastinate, ask questions, and youll get an A. he hasnt graded the final yet, but i have a 99.7 thanks to extra credit on exams, which are usually fair. the study guides arent useful for the tests, he will just tell you what to study instead.
Very good teacher! He gives homework that's very helpful. His tests are mostly fair, with a question here or there that asks for conceptual knowledge rather than just procedural stuff (he sometimes removes a question from the test if it messed up a bunch of people). Overall, just make sure you attend class and study for tests, and you'll be fine!
His lectures are very fast-paced not much time to think about what you are copying down on your notes he does the problem. If engaging is the way you learn do not take this course but if you prefer just to listen and copy down then I guess his method is right for you. His test/quizzes are roughly 10 questions, he doesn't allow calculators.
If u need answers, here it is from someone who got a 98: 1) xtra credit on tests+removed questions become xtra credit (half of our tests had a removed question). 2) very ez to get an A, just engage in class. 3) tests tend to have one conceptual question (which is really easy, and he tells u exactly whats on the test), so bad grades=on the student
Professor Goodman is a good man. His class was enjoyable. Took him for trig in the winter and the class was fun.
He gives hours of homework which are basically worth nothing for your overall grade. The homework and lecture videos have very little to do with homework and test asignments. Doesn't tell you what topics are going to be on the tests, test study guides were completely different from the test. If you struggle with math don't take his class.
This professor is nice but not a good teacher, has long and boring lecture videos that don't fully teach you, he expects you read the textbook to teach the rest. Short but very dificult tests which are nothing like the study guide and takes forever to grade. Tests are majority of the grade and assigns a lot of homework which is worth very little
This professor doesn't teach in class, you watch boring lecture videos at home. Tests are very difficult, no calculators allowed.I reached out to him to try and do better in class and he basiclly said do better on tests. Half the class dropped by the end of the course which says a lot.
The worst professor I have had at COC. This teacher was very unhelpful, and did not teach in class. The lessons was taught through lecture videos and through a book. Tests were very difficult and not like any of the studyguides. Tests are worth more than half your grade, so if you aren't a good test taker pick another teacher.
If you naturally struggle with math you will have to put in extra effort to get a good grade in this class. I took his hybrid class and felt that his lectures were great but did not cover all of the material we needed to know and the videos and textbook barely helped. A majority of the assignments also did not relate to the test or lecture either
Terrible professor. You need to copy down about 2 and a half hours minimum of video notes weekly. By the middle of the semester, I listened to so many of his notes, his voice traumatized me. Lots of homework that doesn't even affect your grade. By the end of the class, it was about 100 assignments. Study guides are not the same as exams DO NOT TAKE
Hybrid class and flipped classroom, so we had access to all of the video lectures at home (AWESOME!), and we spent most of our class time going over some of the homework problems. If you are not comfortable learning math online, hybrid may not work for you. Prof. Goodman was awesome though! Tests were similar to some study guide problems.
Hate math, but Professor Goodman made it doable. If you do the homework, and watch Professor Matsumoto's test prep videos, you can do well. Some of the tangential subjects were pretty interesting.
He was not a great lecturer, he would not go in-depth or explain well. He also graded tests extremely slowly. He gave us our 2nd test back after we had done our 3rd test.
Algebra Hybrid. Lectures are long, but help if you follow along well. The difficulty comes in the amount of topics you cover. At least 3 separate topics, 2.5 hrs of lecture in person, 1-3hrs. worth of mandatory video lectures online, 3 video 3 practice assignments (per week). Nice enough guy but you have to love math like he does to get the most.
Mr. Goodman does an amazing job thoroughly teaching Linear Algebra and really getting you to understand it rather than just memorize. The tests were very fair and honestly quite easy. He promotes participation and takes time to answer even the simplest of questions for topics you might not be naturally understanding. One of the best at COC.
Really glad I took Linear with Goodman. His class is very organized. I thought he explained clearly and went in-depth when answering some questions. He paced the class well and covered a good amount of material. He does take a bit to grade but it didn't bother me, personally. Smart guy and enthusiastic, I wish I'd talked to him more about math.
Professor Goodman my first Math professor at COC. I learned a lot genuinely did and he is easy to talk to. You just have to put in the time and effort and he will see it. Watch out for his tests though one test was not similar like the review test, but either than that a great professor.
HORRIBLE! Dose not explain well at all, and gives the simplest examples in class. The homework &study guides are vastly different than the exams, which btw are usually no longer than 5 extremely tough questions, yet worth 60% of your grade. There is a ton of homework which is only weighed 15%, compared to the 60% exam weights and 25% final weight
Do yourself a favor and don't take him. As someone who had always been a perfect 4.0 math student all the way till pre-calc, taking calc with him ruined my gpa. he dosent explain well at all and his exam are horid.
Professor Goodman truly cares about his students and is a great lecturer. He is very passionate, understanding, explains the complex topics very well, and is always willing to help (he is always available for office hours). He often held office hours overtime for us. Professor Goodman is the obvious choice for Linear Algebra at this school.
I found Prof Goodman to be caring, knowledgeable & flexible. His class is hard, but the math dept. all uses the same rubric I think. My only complaint is the grading; there is a lot of homework, which in the end counts very little towards your grade (10%), meaning you have to do well on the tests. Overall, he's a really nice guy & always available!
His homework is formatted on Canvas, which he makes clear doesn't prepare well for the exam. Doing his suggested book problems is a better way to prepare. That being said, his tests are pretty hard, but he responded to questions outside of class fairly quickly. He throws some curveballs in his exams but adds extra credit to level it out.
Take Goodman if you enjoy: No study guides Mandatory online hw that will not cover everything on tests Optional book hw that actually prepares you for the test but he gives no credit for Unit tests that he will make harder than anything seen in class or on the hw Having 85% of your grade be from tests and the final
one word: HORRIBLE if you value your GPA, please don't take calculus with him. There is tons and tons of homework that doesn't prepare you for the exam, and exams are nothing like lectures and homework + worth like 85% of your grade and are no more than 5 questions usually. please just trust me
don't be discouraged by the people saying he is too hard. that's just how calc is, and Goodman just so happened to be their wake up call. regardless of who you take, the classes will be the same difficulty as Goodman unless you take Sherry, who is significantly easier. If you literally just study you'll get an A, he's generous and a good teacher
Please just take it from me. Im retaking calc right now and maybe half of my old calc class is with me. Its not that we are all lazy and didn't study, his class just genuinely dose not prepare you for exams at all which are combined 85% of ur grade (60% exams, 25% final)
Unless math is really your thing don't take him. He's not the professor for you if math isn't a subject you are naturally good at. Nice guy, but not that good at teaching imo. Lectures and hw dosent rly prepare you for exams
Tough course, but unstuck study really helped me prepare. Lectures are long, but attendance is mandatory. Tests are difficult and unlike practice - focus on the textbook to succeed.
I really liked this prof. at first. He has a welcoming attitude for learning. He's accessible & answers questions clearly. But his lectures did not prepare you for the homework, and the homework did not prepare you for the exams. He even said this the first day. He took a month to grade exams, which are far too short, and are overly complicated.
Unnecessarily large amount of homework. If you value your time outside of college, avoid taking his classes.
Ima be honest, he seemed great at first but it got worse over time. There are IMPOSSIBLE loads of homework that don't prepare you for the exam, and his teaching isn't so great either. Unless you're naturally good at math, don't take.
His exams are extremely difficult, and they are nothing like the study guides, and he takes a month to grade them. His lectures are hard to follow and mostly full of proofs not example problems, if you're good at math then you will be fine but someone who isn't would not do well. Also there is a ton of homework and it is not helpful at all.
People are crazy. Tests are hard, but so similar to the study guides and practice tests. He even tells us in class what to focus on for tests. No calculators on tests, but I think that might be for all calculus classes. One tip, go to office hours at TLC for homework help!
Goodman is overall a very nice person, but his homework and practice is super bad for tests. His lectures are full of proofs and he can overcomplicate certain topics. He does drop lowest test score for the final if it improves your grade.
I really loved Professor Goodman! He is super caring and tries to relate with everyone he can. He always opens class to answer homework questions. All tests have extra credit available and he takes into consideration what topics you'd would or wouldn't like on the test. Homework and be a lot but is easy and there are lots of example videos to help!
TAKE GOODMAN!! good lectures, decent amount of hw. but, u do need to read the textbook regularly. tests r pretty straightforward and easy if u do the hw & his examples. only con is that he takes FOREVER to grade (like a month for 1 test). but generous partial. overall hes a chill guy 9/10 prof
He's a good professor. Will replace lowest exam grade with final exam grade. Generous with partial credit on tests and offers extra credit sometimes. His lectures may not be the best, but he holds office hours 3 times per week. Also took about a month to grade each exam. Calculus is hard so make sure to use all of the resources he offers.
Great teacher, plenty of office hours. Notes are very thorough, always tells you what to expect on an exam. He does say that assigned homework isn't sufficient studying. So focus on note-like questions to prepare. Difficult subject, if you want an A, STUDY MORE. Doesn't take attendance but won't post lecture notes. Chill guy, 100% would take again
LOVE HIM! The best prof to take for linear. His exams are hard, but he tells you that so it's not a surprise. Super chill with due dates except for the quizzes. He offered a lot of extra credit for our class too. Going to office hours was incredibly helpful. He'll walk you through homework problems and conceptual ones. 10/10 best math professor.
There was a decent amount of homework; some units had more than others. He made videos for each unit where he walked you through how to do it. He explains it well, so every assignment was easy. He was very understanding when I turned my work in late because my dog was in the hospital. The tests do record you live while you do them, so be careful.
Very chill professor. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. Reading the textbook really helps because it explains concepts in more detail and gives useful practice. Tests were easier than expected and come straight from lecture examples. He's a fair grader with partial credit. Attendance isn't required, but go to class if you want to pass.
