My favorite class ive taken in college so far. Dr. Kaye really opens your eyes to literature in new and fun ways. To be honest, I was really nervous to take this class since I hate English. But professor Kaye made it fun, interesting, and easy, and I have never learned so much in an English class like I did in his. He is a fair grader and gives you the grade you deserve. I have not taken an English class in a very long time and He was there everytime I or my fellow classmates had a question. Most teachers take long to reply to emails, I always got a timely response. He also takes the to make sure you fully understand on how to do the class/homework assignments. I like that he put us in small groups.

I fell in love with Jeremy. He was the raddest teacher ever. He had a Joy division Album "Unknown Pleasures" on his arm. He's literally perfect. Anyways, he's very smart & thoughtful & makes the class pretty easy. Gives you chances to makeup your work, essays are interesting. I wouldn't miss a day of his class, he made learning & writing exciting.

Although this class is easy and Kaye is a good person, I didn't learn anything in this class besides how he likes essays written. We went over poor, irrelevant topics throughout the whole semester and were graded on things I learned in 5th grade. However, he cares about his students and is clear on what he wants from them.

He is literally my favorite english professor in my career as a student. He makes you feel comfortable! He assigned 4 papers. They were a piece of cake. His grading criteria was clear. we had a couple of open note, partner quizzes. I don't think we had a test. 1 min. oral presentation about the final paper. That's about it. He's amazing.

Dr K is AMAZING, the single most caring professor I've ever encountered. He makes class fun and there are always interesting discussions and topics. He provides the best feedback on essays and lets you revise so you can get the grade you want. He told us he WANTS us to get the grade we want. I got an A and saw my writing come a long way. Provides AMAZING feedback and really wants you to succeed. He assigns essays and helps you every step of the way. There's also a bunch of extra credit. If you are a solid writer then this class will be easy but if you're not then don't worry just go to his office hours and he will make sure you're on top of things. My writing has improved so much.

Dr. Kaye breaks down the assignments in a way that makes sense to students and he's always available to help us outside of class. He also asks us a lot of questions to see where we're at and what we're understanding. Gives us great stuff to read too. Students who get into his classes are lucky and should make the best of it!

Not exactly easy but I think students think he is because he works really hard in and out of the classroom to help everybody succeed. He never gives up on his students and his grading criteria is very clear on his syllabus.

Dr. Kaye has provided an amazing environment for his students. He always believed in his students to achieve the best grades out there. I have learned to believe in my writing skills being in the right place and being in his class helped gain those skills. I would gladly retake his class.

Took Dr. K last semester, he is without a doubt the BEST professor you can have. Brings out the best in you and always discusses interesting things during class that keeps you engaged. Grading is fair, he makes clear what is expected. You get what you put in. Available during office hours to review your essay's before turning them in.

Take him if you can, but his classes do fill up fast. He will do everything possible to help you get an A! There is a lot of reading, but he goes over everything in class.

Jeremy doesn't give away an easy A, but as long as you try your best and go to him for help you are almost guaranteed to gain his respect. You write 4 essays for the semester, and you get to revise the first three if you are not happy with your grade. One of the best professors I have had. Take him if you get the chance

Professor Kaye is a very nice guy. He lets you rewrite any of the first three essays, all quizzes are with a partner. Four main essays and one in class essay. He's very understanding with deadlines and is happy to give you an extension. Would highly recommend him. He is a tad picky on what he wants in the contents of your essays.

I really can't summarize how much I appreciate Jeremy in 350 characters. I have always hated English, he changed all of that for me. He makes the class and content fun. He cares so much about every student, I will never forget him. I took his class a few semesters back and some of my friends from class are still in touch with him. You will love it.

You read A LOT of stuff, he provides packets for you so you don't have to buy a textbook, open note tests and quiz's, he's very nice, lenient, and makes lectures/discussions very easy to understand

Dr. Kaye is the best professor Ive had at MC. I looked forward to every class and learned something new each class. There are partner quizzes and he choose great books to read and analyze. I went into the class never liking English and he changed all that for me.

He makes writing essays come easy and you can really share your opinions and the writing and gives you great feedback and how to convey your thoughts properly on paper. The class was great! Not an easy A, though. Professor Kaye allows revisions on the first three essays. Lots of opportunities for bonus points throughout the semester. My writing improved greatly and I learned a ton. He does not give out A's easily. Also, his class fills up quick, so get in there. It is worth it.

The most understanding and caring professor at Moorpark. The class includes 4 papers and he allows you to do revisions. There are a few hw assignments (easy reading questions) and group quizzes. He loves partner work. Dr. Kaye teaches you how to be a better writer by providing help and great tips/tools. I feel more confident now bc of him TAKE HIM

Before taking Jeremy's class, I was so bad at writing. I worked my BUTT off in his class, probably harder than I've ever worked in any class, and received an A. Getting an A was NOT easy, but if you work extremely hard, you will receive an A. He's such an AMAZING professor and gives super clear instructions. JEREMY YOU'RE THE BEST!!!

He explains everything so clearly that you always leave knowing exactly what to do. I was in no way a good writer before attending his class but I feel confident moving forward because of how elaborate he is. He also encourages listening to the audio version of the books he assigns which really helped me strive. Definitely take him if your nervous!

I took his American literature course about four years ago and he was one of the most influential professors I've ever had. He really cares about what he's having you read and write about and wants you to be able to critically analyze basic pieces of literature with more of a historical background. Just try, he can tell when you're not. Great guy.

Jeremy was absolutely fantastic. I was taking his English M01a class because I needed it to graduate and it ended up being my favorite that semester(and i hate writing). Jeremy is an amazing professor and gave a ton of feedback throughout the class. The class does require heavy reading but Jeremy makes it enjoyable. I highly recommend all English majors (and other majors too) to take one of Jeremy's classes. My favorite thing about his class is that he helped build a sense of community in our class (on Zoom!).

Prof Kaye was amazing. He really helped me work on my critical responses and loved to have honest, open conversations. He was really willing to help write me a letter of rec and even gave us some freedom over assignments which I loved. Hes really nice and beyond willing to help out during non-class hours. Ill miss it. :)

Hes the GOAT! Even if English is not easy for you, hell do everything he can to help. Readings are interesting and he always checks with us to see if we need more time or help understanding. Its almost impossible to get a bad grade unless you just dont do the work and not show up to class.

Professor Kaye from the start has been really great in explaining his goals for the class. Even through online learning, I was able to learn a lot and he really was able to help me better my writing skills. We did read a lot of articles and a few books but nothing that is hard to handle. Definitely recommend!

Even in an online class, Jeremy always took the time to check in with each student and truly cared to see how we were doing. I cannot recommend taking his M20 class, or any other class that he teaches enough! Made me a better writer!

I struggled this year especially in my classes but Dr Kaye was very supportive in helping me get my work done on time. I think he just wants to see students try and to be open to thinking and reading new things. He cares about the learning process. Im so glad I took his class and proud for getting through it.

Even though I had him online, I felt connected to him and his course work. This class is more than manageable and if you ever have questions, he's more than happy to help you out!

By far the best professor I have had throughout my college experience. He made me realize things that I didnt even know I was capable of. Professor Kaye is an incredibly kind teacher. Not only did he lead the class with a very "real" personality, he connected with students and would always leave kind notes under all the assignments. When it came to essays, he's a pretty tough grader, but he always gave wonderful advice on rough drafts and the final draft. Definitely take his class.

THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! There were 4 papers, 2 were structured and 2 were free-form. Read 2 books, Educated by Tara Westover and Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Be prepared for liberal propaganda. I don't know how else to describe this professor but AWESOME! AMAZING!! THE BEST! He even took off our final exam cause he knew that we had a lot of work in other classes. AMAZE!! 4 papers, and the final paper is a full-on research paper, but Jeremy helps you all the way!! Take him please!! HE IS THE BEST!!!

Definitely my favorite professor I have taken so far. I personally hate english but he made the experience way better than I expected. Every assignment he will give you personal and thoughtful feed back not like some of those professors that just copy and paste the same comment to every student. You will have to read 2 books and there are 4 papers.

Professor Kaye is honestly one of my favorite professors. He is understanding, and the work is easy. He also replies to emails pretty quickly. As long as you follow instructions, you'll get an A. He isn't a harsh grader and doesn't give out busy work. We did four papers and read two books. TAKE HIM YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

A no brainer when it comes to choosing professors, Professor Kaye is an unbelievably amazing teacher and person, who will always go out of his way to make sure you go through the course as successful as possible. Assignments are due every Wednesday and Sunday, and are typically not too time consuming. If you do the work you will get an A.

Clearly cares a lot about the performance and well-being of his students, despite being very busy outside class. Definitely utilize office hours if struggling even minutely, he's willing to help with any and all things related to class, even some not. Do the work, and you'll get a passing grade. Try hard, and you'll score higher.

Loved having Jeremy as a teacher and I would definitely take his class again! He has clear due dates but is super understanding if you have to turn smth in late. There are a couple essays but all super manageable and he even gives time during class so he can help. If you go to class and do the work you will do well. He wants students to succeed!

Professor Kaye is great! If you miss something he will let you turn it in late, typically for full credit. His lectures are entertaining and he does his best to keep the material relatively entertaining. Some days you will get maybe 30 minutes of reading while others you may get 1-2 hours but the reading is typically entertaining.

It's a high-demand class but Jeremy is an easy grader and understanding to late work. There's a lot of in-class work and essays but if you show up and try to keep up you should be fine. Jeremy is genuinely a super sweet teacher and I've learned a lot through him. He also canceled the final for us since everybody was stressed which is appreciated.

Best English teacher I've ever had he has a very loose style and any paper you do is very open and your able to write about anything your passionate about. so far we have done 3 essays and the semester is almost over with a discussion every once in a while and any homework given really helps you with your essays.

Take his class. Great guy and knows the subject well. Online was easy. You have 4-5 essay's but he gives over a month to do each. He wants you to do good in his class. You read some books but I found all free pdfs online and didn't need to purchase any.

Dude is truly passionate about writing and making sure you succeed. Every class I went to he was excited to teach and was always willing to give help. His feedback was extensive and very helpful and always gave you many chances to correct and perfect your paper. His lectures were easy to understand and always made sure to make class a discussion.

Best professor by FAR at Moorpark College. If you are worried about your essay writing skills, he will walk you through every step to help you create a perfect paper. You truly get the grade you work for. Every assignment feels like it has a purpose. Theres some extra credit, and options to revise essays for a better grade.

Professor Kaye gave a reasonable number of assignments each week and graded them extremely quick. He also believes that full credit is deserved even if you turn assignments in late simply because you actually put the time in and completed them (even essays). But over everything else he gives amazing feedback, lectures, and understanding.

Absolutely amazing. Minimal lectures, and assignments guide you easily into creating the majority of the essay before you even sit down to write. His class structure is amazing and he truly cares about his students success. Jeremy was extremely relatable, and responsive to messages. Always quick to grade and gave thorough feedback every time.

Couldn't recommend this professor enough. He is the most genuine and caring guy I have ever met, and truly wants the best for all of his students.
