One of the best math teachers I ever had. Always was there for you. Lenient. Dedicates his time staying at the Math Discovery Center till 9PM to help his students out. WORK HARD, and it will definitely pay off. I love STATISTICS because of him! :) He's really nice! I highly recommend him!

Greatest professor I have had at Glendale community college

He's a good teacher but c'mon his tests are really hard. Almost impossible to get an A. he gives true and false question on almost every exam and most of the students would miss points on those. He's really nice and helpful but made calculus harder than it is.

He's a good teacher but its almost impossible to get an A in his class.I always had A grades in math but his class was a different one.He puts too many PROVES in the tests and the FINAL!...even though his class is not honors.If you need an A grade...NOT RECOMMENDED....too much work and you gonna be proving stuff that's been proved already...

Most helpful math teacher in GCC. You can ask him anything and he will help you. Very fair grader and cares for his students. Got high B's on my tests and ended up with an A in his class. Highly Recommended than other teachers! Plus you understand the material very clearly afterwards.

Mr. Talaoc deserves a great deal of credit and my gratitude for he is indeed a very good instructor. Pay attention to his lectures,take notes, do your homework, and exploit your ultimate aptitude on the given tests and you will get your A! By the way, don't forget that he is very friendly with partial credit.

I wish he teaches Stats on Fall but unfortunately he doesn't, I had him math 101 and he was professor perfect ! why you are not teaching stat in this fall:( highly recommended

He's awesome! Really helpful and cares about his students. Always spends extra time teaching harder topics to students who don't understand it well. His tests are not very easy but if you follow his hints and pay attention in class you can get an A. Also he likes to prove theorems so that makes this class a bit more challenging than other classes.

Ah where to begin. Jermey is an amazing teacher who really loves and understands the concepts he is teacher. His tests are not easy, there will be a lot of proofs, but there in lies the greatness of his classes. You are guarenteed to leave the class knowing the subject extremely well. Overall a great guy and fun teacher.

summer class now..facts:1)hws are important.he explains every Qs about the hws for one hour.2)go to the SI,get 10 extra pts(1.5%) 3)explain clearly and passionate 4)drop the lowest test 5)test can be tough for some people. Best Stats Professor at GCC! You will not regret taking it with him. He is crystal clear and available at the MDC, at his office and even holds study groups outside of class to help the class if needed! You have to work in this class because it is MATH. You cannot BS your way through it. Take notes, pay attention and study and you will do great!

He is the ONE good teacher GCC has to offer, you will not meet a professor as good as him in the whole math department for higher division courses. HE SHOULD BE YOUR FIRST OPTION IF HE IS TEACHING A CLASS.

Hands down the best MATH teacher ever! He used powerpoint so it was very easy to understand the material and is always trying to help his students out instead of tricking them on the test. the study guides are super helpful basically same problems but changed the numbers in the question. awesome guy

prof Talaoc is the very Best!! I have never seen someone as enthusiastic and helpful as him. He is extremely patient, respectful and is always there for you! If you study the review exams that he provides you should be fine. The group project is easy and he provides extra credit as well. I enjoyed taking stats with him. Definitely recommended.

He won't curve, and extra credit is few. The most important thing in his class is to understand the concepts behind what he's teaching, and NOT just put in a lot of pointless work. 95% of your grade will be exams, but he is an easy grader. He will go through all your work and take very few points off for mistakes. Very great instructor.

Bottom line, he is the best math professor at GCC. He really cares for his students. Very knowledgeable and passionate. HE knows who to teach higher level math. final 35%- 60 % class exams - 5 % hmw- non extra credit. If you want to learn math take with him. Although he is not an easy A professor, he is very fair to grade your exam.

His lectures and reviews are preparing students for the test so well that you just need to do your hmw and get an A in this class. Where do I start? Greatest teacher I've ever encountered. Helped me conquer my fear of math. SO organized and clear in what he wants. Day before tests goes over exactly what to expect. Professor Talaoc is a great instructor and makes you work hard for an A. The only downfall is that he will almost always take an extra 5 minutes to complete the days material but on the test days he never allows extra time to complete the test. His tests are fairly long and leave very little time for thinking.

Great Professor!! Tells you exactly what to expect on his tests; but yes he does trick you on his tests so watch out. His tests are long however, make sure to FINISH the test because if you left out 1-2 problems it will hurt your grade a lot. Drops lowest test at the end. Final was hard but I have seen harder finals than it overall i recommend him!

The subject is not hard, his tests are. Most of the coefficients in test questions are fractions that make it a pain during the long test. The tests are long because he believes no one should have time go back & check their work except only 2-3 people. He loves proofs & does unnecessary proofs instead of doing more examples. He's very respectful.

Just finished Math138 to transfer to CSUN. This was his first time teaching this course, and did an excellent job. He is there for you and willing to help. You will the need the book, and need to do projects. I highly recommend him for this course. He also is willing to answer any HW questions and topics related in the text.

He is the ANGEL of the math department. I wish i could have taken him for all my math classes. he gives allot of extra points for test so you grade goes up. if you hate math he well make it that you love his class.

The best professor I had at GCC! Took him for Calc 3 over the summer. He's extremely clear, does PLENTY of review before tests, and uses great examples to teach. He doesn't just copy the examples from the book. You'll definitely need to practice plenty outside of class, but it's all very manageable. He puts proofs on every test, but no surprises.

Final was hard, but I'd gladly take him again.

Absoluetly enjoyed his class because of his amazing personality and great lectures. You have to put extra time outside of class to do the homework and hours of studying in order to ace this class. The final was hard but manageble if you studied. Be alert, focus and definitly NEVER be absent in this class because you will miss A LOT.

Math has always been my tough subject. I spent 2 semesters trying to add his class because I found no other professor help me understand STATS better than Dr. Talaoc. If you miss a class you will miss a huge chunk of learning. He is very caring and extremely patient. Thanks to him I transferred out of GCC!

Great professor! With all the chaos going on with online classes and COVID-19, he was still able to maintain good teaching habits. Lectures are clear to understand and basically everything he highlights in lectures are going to be on the test. Very generous when it came to explaining what was on the test and was ALWAYS available for extra help.

He does not make you feel stupid if you do not remember how to solve the algebra portion of the problem. Always asks students questions and engages with the class.

I honestly with all my heart love him so much but SO MUCH HOMEWORK!!! Few days before the exams, we go over one by one on sample exams and he make sures everyone is good. For someone who has not taken a math class in over 5 years, have to say that Prof. Talaoc is amazing at what he does, he is a vary caring and humble professor. He truly is a great teacher, he explains his lectures so well, and even when we wouldn't understand he would take his time to explain the material to us. Make sure to ask questions.

I recommend MATH 135. You learn about a bunch of topics of math in that class but just the basics of each topic, so it doesn't get too difficult. He is extremely patient, caring and is always willing to help. The exams are not super difficult and he grades hw off of participation. Never thought I would get A in math, I know its because of him.

I can not say this enough but hands down BEST PROFESSOR AT GCC! I was so worried about taking another math class after the last one, but man... he is so passionate about what he does and it clearly shows. He is kind and patient with his students and wants them to learn and succeed.

Took Calc 1 with him last winter. Although it was a 5 week class, I never felt confused. He made hard concepts very doable and fun. One of the best teachers I've EVER had. Gives a million examples so you always know what to do on tests/HW. He gave us practice exams which were so similar to the actual tests. I can't recommend him enough, take him!!!
