Walling was a very good teacher - mixed things up a bit with his antics. He's also cute in a lost little puppy dog way. Very smart guy and made nasty poli sci interesting.

Walling is the shiznit. Not only was the class easy I actually learned a ton. The key to his classes is just showing up. Plus, he likes hockey.

A really good teacher. It's one of those classes you don't mind showing up for. However, the only grades are weekly quizes and test. The multiple choice part of the exams are tough.

This teacher is awesome and funny. You will learn a lot. It is not the easiest political systems class though. You will have to study and he hates it when no one reads. Go to class and at least skim the reading and you will do fine.

I never really had all that much interest in political science until I took his class. Not only is he hilarious and intelligent but he is also very good looking which made the class even more interesting.

A great guy, makes class fun and shows how politics relates to our everyday life. Other teachers smother you with their hippy baby killing liberal angendas, but Walling keeps it level and balanced and doesn't let hs views, whether they by left or right, get in the way of teaching the truth.

The class is straightforward. Show up and take the quizzes and exams. Oh, and when he tells you to go to the website, DO IT! He often will use some of the questions on his tests. And by the way- if he scoots up his eyeglasses with his middle finger, rest assured- he's not flipping you off, it's just one of his bad habits. Rock on, Walling!

This was an easy class. Just show up and take notes, and you'll be fine. Definitely go to the website. You'll get an A and it takes about 5 minutes. He was unbiased, which was nice. He also realizes when he's losing interest and starts talking about other things to lure you back in. We watched a video of cows humping one time b/c of this!

This is my 6th semester and he is my favorite teacher ever! Great personality and funny too. No homework other than reading. Grade consists of tests, quizzes and pop-quizzes(which he hints about). You get to drop the lowest score from each. He makes an uninteresting subject fun! Very Cute!

Jeremy is my absolute favorite professor. I love his classes. I took him twice and never had any trouble. I got A's in both classes. You just have to pay attention and do your work. Thats it. Nothing too bad. You can always count on Jeremy to have short papers coz he doesn't want to read them anymore than you want to write them. TAKE HIS CLASS!!

Walling was pretty easy going and gave pretty easy tests and quizzes- he usually told you what was going to be on it, and that generally was what was on it. Not a bad prof!

Dr. Walling was very easy going and helpful. I can't believe some of these negative, comments. He was one of my favorite teachers. The class requires some reading but if you just take notes or get them from somebody else and go to the website for the book it should be a definite A. If its honors you'll have to write 3 very easy papers. AWESOME!

Dr. Walling's subject matter for PS 240 is difficult in and of itself. He makes it interesting and straightforward. If you attend class, go to his office hours when you need help, and pay attention, you should have no problem actually passing. . He is also known for letting out early if the subject has been covered and there are no questions.

This class was definitely engaging. A lot of students complained about it, but then again a lot of students didn't show up for class. If you go to class and read the book, you will be fine. Walling is smart and very knowledgeable about the subject matter, but he does not coddle you and expects you to ask questions which I support.

Walling made this boring class fun. He is also pretty young which is cool because he does a good job of relating things to a younger age group.

He was very very helpful and would spend time explaining everything if you needed and could make the class interesting but he assigned impossible readings. The book he wanted us to read because it was "fun" was a book that graduate students struggle with even though we were a freshman level course.

easy class, if you went to class eveyday he would bump your grade up at the end of semester. All his test questions came straight from online, easy to study,and his essays were given to you in advance...not too difficult.

Super easy class not too much busy work other than a few online things here and there. Paper is pretty easy to do especially during election years =] tests arent hard as long as you take notes in class and listen to his explanations. Didnt even touch my textbook and have a B in there. Kinda funny and really laid back.

The information discussed in class is pretty hard. He grades very generous on exams! I wasn't really sure what was going on and made high B's. Dr. Walling is an amazing teacher and extremely fun to have. I highly recommend him for this class.

Great class! It was a little bit harder than the previous classes I had taken with him, but it is because this was his "baby". I've always been a huge Walling fan; he is helpful, funny, and very interesting. He relates everything to the real world so that we can better understand it. I always take his classes every chance I get, and you should too!

Walling is an excellent teacher! I took his online poly sci class this summer and it was the easiest class I've ever taken. There's assignments every week, but they are so simple. If you have the option, take it online. He responds quickly to emails too! Very cool instructor. I'm sure he's great to have in person as well!

Dr. Walling is great! He is very funny and doesn't let his Ph.D. get to his head. He knows what he is talking about, too. Very laid back and sarcastic. There is a lot of reading in the class, but it is optional (no quizzes). Don't let the talk of "statistics" at the end of the class scare you away... it is simple, easy stuff!

Dr. Walling is my favorite professor in the department. Some days it's almost like he's a student in that he'd rather be doing just about anything other than being in class, which means he doesn't keep you longer than is necessary. His assignments are clear, and I found him to be a forgiving grader. He's also really funny.

Jeremy does a decent job of teaching, though if there was a test or exam on Friday, the lecture literally lasted around 7 minutes on Monday (no class Wednesday). So... you're on your own unless you ask him for help or go to his office hours. Exams aren't hard but you need to study or at least read the material.

Dr. Walling is an exceptional professor. The class had a TON of reading, so be prepared for that. He does a good job tying all of the material together to make them understandable to students. Additionally, this class had NO EXAMS! However, there were 5 short papers in place of exams. Would definitely recommend taking his class! U wont regret!

The class that I took had over 100 students in it, which I like because it means that class participation isn't counted. I thought the tests were pretty easy. It's multiple choice and a couple essays, but he tells you the essay questions in advance. Walling is really likeable and kinda hot in a nerdy way.

I actually really enjoyed this class. He usually lets you out early everyday, you take online quizzes, and have a few forum post. I recommend him for filling the general studies recquirement!!

Dr. Walling is one of the best professors I've ever had at SEMO. He's funny and brings his humor into his lectures, which would otherwise be boring. I got out of class at least 30 minutes early every day and the work load wasn't terrible. Tests were kind of tricky, but take the optional online quizzes and you should be fine.

The only reason i put attendance as mandatory was because its a lecture class. But this guy is so funny and relatable, hes so laid back.

Test are half multiple choice half essay. He gives you 5 essay topics that could be on test before hand. Essays are solely based on lectures. If you study online quizzes you'll do good on multiple choice on test. Lectures are interesting! Easy A if you show up to class and study. Get A's on all test you don't have to take Comprehensive Final!

Walling was a good choice for PS. The tests were easy to study for, you didn't really have to show up to any classes. A lot of your grade is from online quizzes, which are easy. The paper you have to do is self explanatory and very easy.

You have to come to class to get the notes. If you aren't gonna show up don't take him. The tests aren't super hard, but you have to study your notes and do the pre-tests online for the info on tests. Do the campaign paper early in the semester to get it out of the way. If you do not study you will not do good. He's funny and knows his stuff.

Walling is a great person and teacher. Go to class, study and you will make an A. I was struggling in the beginning but was able to catch up. Its a lot of material but he makes the lectures easier to understand and sit through so youre not bored. Highly recommended for political science courses.

He's honestly a very laid back dude. He helps you whenever you need it. We do quizzes online every week, none of which have deadlines and they're super easy. Also, for the tests he makes pre and post practice tests. All of which contain questions that will be on the test. Tests aren't difficult, class in general isn't hard at all. 10/10

The class was surprisingly easy, the class is very lecture heavy but if you listen to class or get notes for the exam you'll do great in the class. Very few assignments. The professor is very easy going and knows what he is talking about.

Dr. Walling is a great teacher. His lectures are relatively entertaining. You are graded on 3 tests & 1 paper. If you get As on the tests you don't have to take the final or he drops your lowest test grade. There are weekly quizzes on Moodle that you can take as many times as you want to get the grade you want. There are a few forums on Moodle too.

I liked Dr. Walling so much I signed up to take 2 more classes with him in the fall. He is super funny and does his best to keep things interesting. Very understanding and easy to talk to. You can clearly tell he loves what he does.

Dr. Walling overall is amazing! You are graded on 3 exams and 1 paper. For the exams, if you study and do the practice quizzes for each chapter you will perfectly fine! His lectures can be lengthy, but he keeps you entertained through it. Make sure to take detailed notes for these will help you study. Make sure to do the forums he posts every week

History is one of my least favorite subjects, but he made talking about the Constitution and government very interesting! Long lectures, but he goes into great detail. Forums once a week that help you form opinions on things youve never thought about. Loved his class!!

Dr. Walling is definitely my favorite professor this semester. He's so nice and clearly cares a lot about students. When I emailed him about being out for a week because of a trip, we had a whole conversation about my trip lol. His classes are all lectures but he makes them enjoyable and is just a real personable guy.

Literally nothing to complain about. Dr. Walling is a wonderful teacher and makes class enjoyable. However, the TA he had did most of the grading and explained homework so I can't speak about how Walling does in that aspect of everything but he's amazing for everything else!

Professor Walling is an amazing teacher who not only makes the course interesting, but he grasps your attention as well. Exam wise, show up for the reviews since he basically gives you the answers for the essay portion, and for the multiple choice he will tell you how to study them as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I took this professor for online and it was a very easy A. He also always sends kind messages and alerts to his classes to remind us to do the homework. The class is mainly InQuizitives with the usual forum post. You can make an A if you just do the work every week and look up answers. 0 complaints at all

If you need an easy online class for credit this is a jackpot for an easy A. Its mainly InQuizitive and all of them have quizlets online with the answers. There are regular forum posts and sometimes the tests will have a short answer but even then I never used the textbook. The professor would also send out little notes before breaks. So sweet.

Professor Walling was such a nice guy. While his lectures weren't the most interesting thing because I'm not that into history in general, he truly cared about his students. The workload was not very heavy and the tests were relatively easy if you studied for them.

He was very accommodating! I had two unfortunate incidents and he was very understanding, reopening quizzes for me and letting me redo an assignment. He also answered all my questions very well. Great teacher overall!!

The class centered on a group project. The tests were difficult. If you attend the class before he tells you exactly what will be on the test I LOVED that. It is very lecture-heavy, and you don't have to speak, but he will notice if you're not paying attention. He is one of my favorite professors, and you should try to get into his classes

He wasn't the best at responding to emails, but he always answered questions well in class. I would recommend taking his class!

Dr. Walling no matter the day made class interesting even if he cut the class short. He was a very straight to the point professor. He is very lecture heavy so attending class is something you will want to do in order to pass the class. Exams were all written responses but he expressed that he wanted to give as much credit to you as possible.
