best teacher i ever had

Wonderful teacher, and very helpful. I really hate Math and with his help i learnt things i never knew how before. He is willing to help you in and out of the class. With his help you will suceeed.

never like number at all, i even hate to have any cash on hand, but he really changes that fact, he made things so easy, his kinda serious but then he simply makes sure everybody understand the lessons in a nice way...try to take him, coz im taking his next class again!!!

I took him for basic I & II-take this teacher if you are clueless in math.He will not go on to the next section until everyone understands.He is VERY leanient as long as you show up and make an effort to learn.If you go to the math lab and do your HW,you WILL pass this class with an A.His tests are all made through HW problems.He's mad cool too!!

He is awesome. He is very clear about how to solve the problems; he doesnt make you figure anything out, he tells you how to do it. Plus he answers any questions you have. I had this class last year and I still go to him when I need help with other math classes.

Absolutely need more teachers like him. Took me two times in highschool to get Algebra, I now finished his class with a 96%. Explains things so well, and makes it fun, and enjoyable to go to class. Liked him so much Im taking his summer course just to continue my math with him. Does wonders!!! A++++

I love this teacher! Had him for mat 0012, registered early to make sure I'd get him again for 0020. Hated math until I took his course. Highly recommend!

He's an ok teacher, very helpful and hives extra credit but doesn't really answer questions. Assumes we know the answer already. Overall good person but not a great teacher if you struggle in math.

Very laid back teacher but knows what he's talking about. He treats his students as adults not teenagers. Always willing to help in the evenings at the math lab. Gives extra credit. Great guy!! Do all your homework and labs and that will bump up your grade even if your test scores aren't that great. I'm bad in math thought I was failing and got a B

He is very helpful and will always go over any question no matter how many times, hes very laid back and kind. He doesnt look much like a professor, he wore a Run DMC shirt one time to class! =) but all in all as long as you come to class and pay attention your sure to get a good grade.

Mr. Gordon will go over something with you until you get it. He is very frank about what to expect in the class, but will do his best to give you chances to catch up if you fall a little behind. If you pay attention and do your homework there's no reason not to get an A in this class.

Hes a super cool dude, but he goes really fast when he lectures and doesn't really explain things. He now teaches at FAU and uses the iclickers for attendance. I learned mostly from mymathlab and found the lectures to be unhelpful and the tests to be hard. I never got above a c and most people dropped the class because its too hard.

Great teacher, explains things very well and does more that just read the book, he explains why formulas and math rules work. I had him for prep 1 and 2 and got A's for both. He gives hard tests, but you will know the material and be ready for your final. Does not drop lowest grade like some. You get what you get.Wish he was avail for intermedie Al

This is the best teacher I have ever had. He is extremely patient, he answers any questions students have (even ones that he had just answered seconds before), he gave lots of opportunities for extra credit, and he has a sense of humor. I wish he was teaching college algebra!

Best math teacher i have ever had.

Prof. Gordon explains things clearly and gives tons of examples but the burden is on the student to keep up with the homework, come to class & pay attention. Class is usually out early & that is the perfect time to ask him any questions you might have. I'm enjoying class - and I hate algebra.

My second Math class with Professor Gordon and I will take him again anytime! We need more like him.

As long as I have to take math, I will continue to seek out Professor Gordon. He is approachable, knows what he's teaching and is concerned that students that want to learn will learn.

I had him for Intermediate & College alg. Best math prof ever. Explains things VERY well. Tests based on class examples & book hwk, very fair. Somewhat lenient by dropping lowest test or extra cred. Not easy to get ahold of but takes lots of time in class to help you. Just do the hwk & go to every class. I think I enjoyed math, thanks Prof ;) -D.A.

I really dont know what the last two points were talking about. The only way people failed was because they did not study at all or did not brother to ask questions if they did not understand something, or even go to the mathlab. If you study in his class you will do fine, and he lets you do a couple missed problems on thest for a little ext credit

He is good at explaining. If you come to class, pay attention, DO THE HOMEWORK, you should be fine. Math has never been my strong point & I still did well. He doesn't really have the kind of personality that makes you feel comfortable asking questions but he's still a good professor.

He spends the first 10 minutes of class answering questions about homework problems. people in my class would ask questions about something he literally just said or explained adhe would still answer the question. Again. I would take him for any class.

I am currently taking him for Intermediate Algebra/College Algebra Combo. He is very straight forward with his teaching style. He gives very clear explanations. If you don't understand something, just ask him. He is glad to explain more. He wants you to learn. He is very thorough. If he doesn't teach it, he will not test for it, no surprises. Great

I took him as a dual enrollment student. Fomat of his notes match the types of problems on the test. No trick questions. Homework not required and gives extra credit. He answers questions to the best of his abilty and teaches to the point. Highly recommended. Makes funny jokes once in a while. Easy class, took it for Summer B.

Took as dual enrollment student. Home work is not required but you will regret not doing the homework. His reviews are sub-par but gets the job 75%. This is an easy class to grasp the concept of algebra since he is very clear and doesn't stumble, but it is not easy overall, you will have to put some effort into this class.

I hate math. Or I always had a negative relationship to it, before I took this class. Prof. Gordon doesn't have do the power-trip approach, or isn't an attendance nazi. He will help you if you show an interest to learn. He is very clear, easy to understand, and a pretty cool guy overall. Follow the syllabus, listen in class, and you'll have an A.

Tests straight out of the book. He is extremely helpful. Will answer any question and continue to explain until you understand. He took the definitions from the book and stated them in easy English so i actually understood. He is really lazy, don't expect to get tests back right away. Liked him so much I'm following him to Lakeworth next semester.

I took Professor Gordon my first semester! I took him for the intermediate and college algebra combo class. His class, for me, was pretty easy all because im pretty good with math. He tends to go fast sometimes but if you ask him to explain something over again he will be happy too! !! Also, don't skip class youll be missing like a week of lessons!

I took him for trig. I studied everyday and got an A in the class. the third test on multiple angles was harder than the final exam and the 4th test. I got a C on the third test and still got a final of A. He explains the unit circle perfectly which is important. If you work hard, you'll do well.

Gordon is amazing! I've heard he was a good teacher, but he really is. He helps you with the work if you don't understand it and will go step-by-step to help you get the answer. There is HW, but it helps you to pass the tests. I would love to take him for every math class. He also doesn't sugar coat anything, he tells you straight up. 10/10

I took him for the Hybrid version of stat and everything he tested on was in a video; he showed how to do it on a TI-84, by hand and in excel; and he gave extra credit for doing his evaluation and for going to some presentation. I am takin him again for prcalculus in the summer.

I always struggle with math but he made it not so bad. Sucks that he is not teaching college algebra this summer.

Good teacher, easy to understand he will tell you what you have to do and even tell you if you read the book and watch his videos on youtube you will get an A or at least a B. My entire class was mostly people retaking the class for the 2nd or 3rd time and everybody loved that he actually showed you had to do it

Gordon is one of the best math teachers I have ever taken. He actually works the problems out and shows you the process step-by-step. Homework is expected to be done, and can help bring up your grade as most of it is based on test grades. He explains concepts in different ways so it is easy to understand. He is a good teacher. Took him for express A (6wks) mon-thurs. You have to get used to his teaching style. It may seem like he doesn't care but that's just the way he comes off. Tests are not really hard just write down notes&study the book to understand and pass. Homework is graded in Mymathlab. Sometimes he takes long to grade and return tests.

The man is really smart and knows his stuff. You need to pay attention and take good notes and write down the examples he does. He's funny and very straight forward. He'll tell you exactly what to do and what not to do, yet people still be messing up. Do the hw after every lesson and you'll be good. If you're lazy then you'll get left behind.

Professor Gordon is an amazing teacher with a great sense of humor. I struggle with math, but the way he breaks things down makes the work a lot easier and I have never seen better grades. He's really laid back and easy to talk too. He offers a lot of practice for the work, which can be tedious, but it's incredibly helpful.

This is one of the best professors I've had, Calculus can be very frustrating but he's definitely very good at simplifying difficult concepts. Very relaxed, tests are just mild and mostly come with a very nice curve! I would take him again any time

Jermaine is a great teacher. He is clear with what he expects of you and tells you exactly what you should expect to see on the test. He explains things clearly. Just make sure you do the homework, and you will do fine. Problems similar to the homework are on the test.

He is a pretty decent teacher, he wants you to pass but he won't just give it to you. ask questions in class and I guarantee he would help you. the guy is really smart.

Speaks clear English. He broke everything down into the most basic principles. If you've passed 5th grade math, have a solid study ethic, and take notes, you will pass. No multiple choice tests but the tests are easier than the HW. You don't need the textbook, just show up and ask ?'s. If you want an A, you gotta put time in outside of class.

Professor Gordon is a very straightforward person he try's to make the class be alive. He makes jokes while he's teaching the lesson. He makes sure everyone is on the same pace and understands. He also breaks down the problem one word of advice is ask questions and be ready to do the homework. Overall, I would take this class again.

Lets be real most math classes have a ton HW and lectures are important to attend. Mr. Gordon is a good teacher it may not be obvious but he really cares. I took him twice and left both times with a B. Take notes, do your HW and follow along bc he actually teaches the material very well. He is very fair and I would recommend anyone to take him.

Professor Gordon makes math fun and he teaches it in a way where it relates to your everyday life. He is so super smart and he may act tough but he really cares about his students. he honestly preps you to be a successful college student. I changed for the better after taking him.

I didn't realize I actually liked math until I took Professor Gordon's class. If you are looking to be spoon fed or go through the class without studying or reading your book, this is not the class for you. You will learn but you do have to put in the effort. So I took Calculus with Analytical Geometry 2 Fall semester 2018, IT WAS HARD. It wasn't Gordon's fault, Calc 2 is just extremely difficult, unless you have a terrible professor. Gordon was an amazing professor, and he tells you how to prepare for the tests. DO HOMEWORK, READ THE BOOK!Curves tests, gives extra credit. Hard class, amazing professor.

If you want to learn learn, he is the professor to go. Do understand that he will be teaching at a higher level than every other professor. Professor Gordon is the best math teacher at pbsc. If you don't know how to solve 2x4 then dont take his class. He teaches at a higher level then other professors and he will not baby you. Learned a lot from him.

Expects you to recall the theorems and intuition from previous calculus classes. Can you believe that? (Sarcasm.) Professor Gordon provides great conceptual explanations and works out the problems in class. His tests come straight out of the homework. He also provides you with formula sheets for the loaded sections. Take him if you want to learn.

He's not too bad, honestly. He is definitely a tough grader, and he rarely gives extra points. He also has a habit of getting off topic a lot so if that bothers you then you might want to stay away.

Extremely funny. Although you have to make the effort in his class. You have to pay attention, he knows how to teach very well, but just prepare for his sarcasm. He is very straight forward with his lessons and makes everything look simple. Also have to do the hw because they help for the tests.

He will make you work for your grade. His class is heavily weighted on the quizzes and tests, but he does drop the e lowest test grade with the final. And he does go over the tests and quizzes.

Pretty easy work load, he replaces your lowest grade with the final. Just study and you should get an easy A.

He's definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. Just do all your homework and you'll be good to go. Also, study daily as there are quizzes in almost every class. If you feel like you are left behind, ASK!! He'll definitely help you out, whether it'll be in-class or in-office hours.

My personal opinion, Prof. Gordon made that class for me easier than what I heard from other students about Calculus 1 class in other colleges. He answered all my questions (and I was asking all the time during the class), other options were zoom meeting before the class or email. That was my first online (zoom) class that I feel confident about.

He was really honest and real with us. He uses Pearsons Homework so its a lot of questions. He lectures off of MyMathLab sometimes or would lecture off of the whiteboard. If you want to go into Calculus 1 prepared take him. He curves every test including the final. NO midterm ONLY four test and the final.

super nice guy and funny but this class is a LOTTT of work. there is homework for every night with many questions on each one. math is not easy for me so this class was hard only because only one example for each question. i did all the homework, payed attention in class, studied and joined a study group. couldn't understand it.

Many homework, he can be a bit rude, but he curves a lot and does seem to care. Be ready to learn on your own though.

I enjoyed Proffesor Gordons class alot, his lectures were clear and concise, his accent wasn't bad at all, and he was a fair grader. he was never afraid to bring a little humor into the class, and if you're taking his class in the fall and your class is on halloween, he lets you wear your costume to class. 5/5 Proffesor, I'd highly recomend him

I think he is an amazing professor and he lectures clearly. THERE IS SO MUCH HOMEWORK minimum 20 questions max 50-60. The homework helps though. The practice tests as well so do everything and pay attention. He is very funny. He does not respond fast to emails though.

He was really great. He drops the lowest test score, and there is a lot of homework, but as long as you do some of it every week, it won't pile up on you. He's real and very understanding.

A very good professor he makes sure you understand I was in his class since college algebra till calculus 1 he gives lots of homework and it has been helpful to me I have gotten Bs in all his classes but its very easy to get an A I wish we could have him for calc 2
