Lots of HMWK. Do it and ask questions! He will be quite helpful! easy going

He teaches material well. If you attend class and do homeworks, and spend time thinking about how to do things, you should be okay in class. He seems intimidating, but he's really nice and reasonable.

He knows his ish very well but the class is still hard and i dont recommend him because its a lot of work. and his tests are tricky

i had nightmares taking this class. you have to study 36 hours a day in order to pass his class.

he knows acctg inside out. he's very helpful if you actually go to his office hours. the class goes in a pretty fast pace, but he explains the material very well. it's not hard to pass his class as long as you read, and do the hmwks. iLL give him a B+...

I like Mr. Li. He is straight forward and doesn't mislead in anyway. His tests are hartd but accounting is a tough course whoever you take. This class is not memorizing dumb facts like in H.S., you have to learn to process of accounting.

Good teacher but tough. You will leave knowing accounting.

He is a really hard professor! He makes up his own tests, but if you study for them the final will be easy.

Mr. Li is super hard, but you should learn something! Pay attention, take good notes, and take his advice on whatever he says! Don't ditch either... he knows exactly who everyone is.

He is hard, no doubt about it. BUT he is very clear and concise. IF you do your HMWK EVERY WEEK, (and actually TRY on it), and go to class every day you'll be able to do well in this class. You have to work HARD for an A/B.

He is probably the hardest teacher I have had at cal state. But I feel alot more prepared than others in 201b. The positive thing about li, is that his tests were so hard, that it made the department final easy.

Go to class. Do your HW. Study. You will do OK. He does not blow smoke up your butt - tells it how it is. Good Teacher.

Mr Li is a funny Chinese guy with a southern/georgia accent.He has a dry sense of humor which is great.His tests are so hard!don't underestimate him.Fairest grader on campus, if you come to class, participate, and do HW you will pass!!He doesn't take attendance, but he knows who you are, seriously!

He is a hard teacher, but very fair. Low class averages mean NOTHING with his point system... simply do your work LEARN the material (he stresses this) and you will do great. Starts off mean, but that's to scare off lazy people.

This teacher is very tough,however,also very fair. He gives u every possible chance to pass the class through bonus pts., and various other things. HW points are easy to get and really bring up your grade. He definitely knows what he's talking about and is a good teacher.

regarding his teaching.. it's good... he's very clear. you must go to class and LISTEN. but him as a person, he is angry. he cracks dumb jokes and thinks he's funny. he talks about sports too much. he curves of course or else the whole class would fail. not the greatest person, but a good teacher.

No BS, come prepared or stay home. Extremely nice guy. Loves to talk to students individually...nobody ever talks to him of course. Gives you guidance in all aspects of life.

great teacher. you gotta work your ass off in his class though, but you will get a lot out of it. he is a nice guy when you talk to him on a personal level. he is generous with grading and not too strict. his tests are friggin hard though and do all the hw.

this class is VERY HARDDDDDDDDDDD. if you dont do your hw and study then i would avoid this guy. but he koo on grading. and everyone think his ass but if you talk to him personally he koo.

Li is great teacher! His class is hard, but if you show up everyday,do the homework, and study you will be ok! I got a B in the class! I just tried! His tests are really hard but he prepares you for the departmental final! Compared to his tests the departmental final was a piece of cake! He curves a lot!Its impossible to fail his class! Work hard!!

As an accounting major if you study hard like you should you will do well. If you fall behind you will have a hard time catching up. Despite his persona in class he is a nice guy if you get to know him!

Prof. Li is the best accounting teacher I've ever had. The tests were very hard, but that was no big deal. He has a great curve that, as long as you try and do the homework, it should be impossible not to pass. I got an A even though I averaged 60% on his tests. He was a great teacher and explained things in a way that made it easy to understand.

Very clear, very helpful. This teacher calls things as they are and doesn't fool around. If you don't pass, it's probably your own fault.

His test are really hard, but if you study hard you can do good. He doesn't take roll but he remembers faces and he knows how many days u missed and how often u attended class. Participate even if you are wrong, he appreciates your effort, but don't give answers just because, he can tell when you are full or crap. Do all your HW, even if its wrong!

This professor is really hard, however do all of the problems on the homeworks and get 5's in everything. He seems like a cool guy out of class, but in class he doesn't @#$ around. Try very hard, I'm not kidding, its possible to pass, but take good notes and I suggest typing them out every night after every class. review them!! have fun :-)

Hard class, take good note, daily study is a must. DO NOT FALL BEHIND. Do all the homework (which must be typed) and study from the study guide. He helps you during office hours and answers questions during class. He is nice, but the subject is hard. Recommend him to anyone who is not afraid to put in 110%

Li, makes you read the book because homework and participation are a must , you need to be there all the time!! but truthfully i failed all his test as in 10/20 on the first and 12/20 on the second but did all my homework and still got a B in the class his curve is the best ive seen only works in your favor if you do all HW.he is your best shot

Jerry Li is a SUPER guy and he has great sense humor. Yes, the class is HHHardest, but his purpose is making you learn something after pass his class. He talks lots of real life situations and cases, which connects you the real business world. Do not forget - 1. Turn off your cell phone. 2. Participating in class discussion. 3. D the homework!

awesome teacher! yes, tests are hard.. but, as long as you go to class and take good notes... it's not hard at all :) you must Do all homework for sure! all points count the same so hw points are like freebies!

Very good professor! Acct 201 is a tough subject but Li really cares about what his students learn. If you are looking for a class to just cruise by then look for another professor because you need to really apply yourself and spend alot of time on this class. Must do all work to get a good grade. missing a assignment can hurt your score.

Prof Li is very clear on his lectures. During lectures always repeats topics just 2 rejog ur memory on things talked bout in class earlier. The class is tuff! So studyin is a must. HW assigns turned in every wk w/group. Very lienant 4 a prof & has a curve. Accountin majors I recommend...Just study & pay attention. P.S. TUrn off ur cell phones :)

Comment below me is true, however its really hard not to pass. Had a 61 percent going into the final with the curve, and still passed. He wants you to pass, his hard midterms makes the dept final a breeze. He gave us a lot of points for free this year too!

this guy was very hard... but passable. sometimes you really have to work for your grades and this is one of those classes. you will be a better person for taking and passing his class. good luck

look, i know the reviews here are scary, but li is truly a great teacher. accounting is a hard subject no matter who you take. li's lectures are fantastic and they really help you learn the material. there's a lot of hw, but it's a departmental requirement so there's no way to avoid it. his tests are insanely hard but the curve is big(16/20 = 100%)

It is true that he challenges you as a student. He is actually entertaining and I enjoyed his sarcasm. Just pay attention in class and follow directions. When he tells you to stop answering questions - stop and you'll do fine. I pulled a B because of his curve. Very fair.

It was a very hard class. But, I have to admit that Prof. Li was one of the best teachers that I have ever had... no matter what other people say... he motivated his students to not only memorize stuff but actually LEARN :)People don't like him, because they wanted him to pass them without putting any efforts... I will never forget Professor Li because I learned everything I know or remember from him. I've used all that he has taught me time and time again. I can still hear that southern accent repeating and repeating the same thing over and over again. Thanks Professor Li. You made me get my monies worth from CSUF
