had her for A & P II. Very hard teacher, she isn't very descriptive in class, and kind of expects you to know "everything". She does answer questions, but you have to be willing to ask.
She has a hum drum personality. She runs a lot of students away with her testing. My girlfriend is a B student and she had to drop her class. I was forwarned by an LVN instructor not to take her, and I am glad that I didn't.
Great teacher! Most willing to help if you take the initiative to show your interest in course. If you come to class with a goal to learn, easy A! Personality gets better and better with good class turn out!

Dr. Jerri Lindsey is a great asset to TCC!!! She cares about her students and makes learning interesting. Her stories are fun and they always have something to do with the subject at hand. Pay attention! It will pay off!
I am taking her A&P II class and I think she is very helpful and interesting. If someone leaves a negative about this teacher, I believe they need to look at themselves a bit closer and maybe they will find the real problem lies within. Great teacher !!!!
I had her last semester she has monday test, I don't like her teaching style, all she did was read from the book. Expects you to know everything for the test, doesn't review very well for the tests.
Great teacher! No trickery in testing, straight forward questions and even a few give away questions on her tests! She does review well by letting us know basically which tables to study and which ones are just F.Y.I. she wants you to succeed!!!!!!!
I had her in API. Reads straight from the book and tests straight from the book. Tells you things you don't need to know for a test, but study it anyways! If you read and study the book, you'll do fine. She stays on course with the lab too!
I had her a couple of years ago and dropped it. I've since taken both A&P I and II and had over 100 average in both with other teachers. She does tell you which tables to study...however study all because she tested on the ones she said weren't important!
She has little short cuts and tricks to help you learn but instead of sharing this knowledge with the class she choose to only share it with people who ask her personally. Not a very good teacher.
she's really not as bad as you might have heard. She is very willing to give you all the help you need, just gotta ask. She really knows what she is talking about, and i have really enjoyed her lectures....give her a chance!!
DR. Lindsey is supernice and very smart. However, for her lab tests, she expects the students to memorize approx. 300 items and "recite" 50 from memory (NOT multiple choice). Additionally, she is not as consistant as other students make her out to be.
On several occasions in her class (lab & lec) Dr. Lindsey emphasized certain large charts, photos, graphs etc... hinting they would be a the upcoming test. Spending hours and even days learning the material, They weren't even on the test. Thank you ratemyprofessor for helping me find my new A & P 2 Professor.
She seems to be a man hater..."She said men are only**** donors".Seems like she builds rapport with females easier. No Reviews for tests. Very mean personality most of the time. ***Don't seem to care if you pass or not***...This A&P course is geared towards people retaking the course over and over to generate more revenue for her department.
she is short and to the point...and if you miss the point then it's your loss. if you ask her a question she will try to answer it until you understand her better
Dr. Lindsey is there to teach and if you are there to learn then she is very effective! If you are looking for an easy grade, then don't bother. She is very helpful, but you have to take the initiative to participate and ask for assistance. Whatever you put into the class is what you will take away......
Demanding but fair. People who take A&P usually go into health careers. I want my doctor to know what he's doing, not that he got an A in an easy class. Don't worry about the ease of the class, learn the content. If you study, you will get good grades. I make an A.
if youre full time take someone else
Her tests are very hard. She teaches right from the book. She goes very fast. Her tests are very, very detailed. You have to put a lot of time into studying. N
tests are hard but shes helpful if you have a question..dont ask her anything thats on the syllabus or she'll get upset..very to the point..if you study using the textbooks internet study site you'll do well on her tests, she gets lots of test questions from there..especially the flashcard section, i went from 60's to 80's on her tests using those
Worst teacher i've ever had, during lecture she reads, READS, straight from the class. Very difficult to remain interested throughout class. She gives reviews for the tests, but its basically the whole chapter. stay away
Good attitude and tries to amuse students while teaching, but she's a little dead pan, so not everyone undersands. Expects you to know the material, which is as it should be. Always willing to answer questions, even off topic.
you are on your own.
man.. to be completely honest dr. lindsey made me question my nursing degree. im basically youre adverage student although i sent a TON of time studying and in the SLC trying to pass this class with a high hopes of a B. she doesnt have much of a sense of humor so she doesnt make the info interesting. :( dont do what i did. dont take her class.
Allows students to learn everything by themselves. Does not volunteer her years of experience to make the material any easier except for in the lecture hall. Very demanding on paying attention and if you miss a concept do not dare ask unless you have a board of other students who also missed the concept.
Self-interest is the subject not on student learning.
You're either going to like her teaching style, or you're going to hate it. The test is very difficult and detailed. However, it is straight to the point. I managed a B. I did felt at times that she doesn't have great people skills so expect to hear comments that may be deemed rude and inappropriate.
Listen, it's college! Lindsey isn't a bad teacher at all, looking back I enjoyed her lectures. Its a lot of work, but its YOUR JOB TO READ THE MATERIAL not hers to spoonfeed it to you. Tests are 100 questions which I like since it only makes ea. question worth 1 pt. We're taking these courses for health care jobs, and no said it would be easy!!!
One of the hardest A&P professors.. definitely. She reads straight out of the book, and isn't very helpful at all if you have any questions. Good luck even passing her class!
Dr. Lindsey is a great professor. She may be hard but they do tell you that it will be before you start. Her lectures are interesting and thorough and she has some interesting stories. You just have to keep up and really study and you can pass
Had her for lab and what a miserable individual. She is old and bitter and treats people with questions like they are the dumbest person on Earth. Semi-helpful, semi-interesting. Got an A by my own accord, no thanks to her.
DOES NOT CARE WITHER YOU PASS OR FAIL. WHEN ASKED ANY QUESTION NEVER ANSWERS IT AND MAKES YOU FEEL STUPID
I learned alot in this class. Ms. Lindsey has extensive knowledge and keeps your attention. I enjoyed this class and her dry sense of "humor." I studied and got my A.
Very Difficult class. Fast pace.
She is the hardest teacher I have ever taken and I am a smart person. She is very overwhelming and hard to keep up with. If you are a genius you can keep up on her level, but if you are normal then just forget it! I DO NOT recommend her!
Though she does know a lot, I don,t approve of her teaching method. She aims for those whom can do ok studying by themselves, but need guidence. However I can't learn by those methods. I felt she expected too much from the students, and made it so you can't carry any other class but this one, and make a good grade. I wouldnt recommend her.
Dr. Lindsey catches a bad rap. She is tough, but very helpful asking if there are any questions and does NOT make you feel stupid when you ask a question. She loves people to ask questions. If you fail her class, it's because you didn't do your part.
Dr. Lindsey is hard but FAIR. Her lectures and labs can be dry but stick with it, she cares how you do in class and is always fair with her grades. Show interest, ask intelligent questions and ask for help. Dr. Lindsey is so smart and wants to help you make a good grade. I'd recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning.
Her lectures consist of her reading directly off of the slide, rewording what it says, and going into a little bit of depth on each slide. Sometimes I'm not sure if she has ever seen the slide before! Her notes that you print come directly from her slides. Hard class. Not so great teacher.
I've taken Dr.Lindey for both A&P I and II, as well as for lab. Her classes and labs are tough, but not impossible. If you read your material, study, and ask questions, you'll do well. What I love most about her, is that she drops what she's doing to answer any questions and help. I also love the fact that grades are reflective of personal studies.
reads directly from the slides gave examples from the book so if you read you will be a step ahead. Tests are not that difficult. Overall she is a good instructor I'm actually taking her for lab next semester.
HARD!!! Her class is very hard you have 4 or 5 major test and the Final is mandatory, those are your only grades. She is a nice lady but she does read directly from the book. If you really want to know your stuff I would recommend her but if you are worried about getting a competitive grade you might want to look elsewhere.
Prof's like this give them a bad name. She does not care one bit about students. I'm suprised that TCC allows her to continue teaching by her drop and failure rate. Hopefully she will retire soon being she is head of the Science department. When she does I think the over-all attitude of the NE science departments will change....
Does not care about students at all, one girl asked for help and she told her to "read your book". Gives no study guides or reviews. Most uncaring professor I've ever had. Reads off slides for lecture and tests do not cover material she reads.
Had her for A&P1 Super hard class and her voice would put me to sleep. Moved to the afternoon classes still could not handle it. This is a really hard class so you need all the help you could get. I droped the class. I'm going to take it again, but with some one else.
I do not recommend this professor. She gives no review for exams and seems very uncaring toward her students. She told the class the average grade received on the first test was a 63% and that was pretty good for the first few tests. There is no point in attending her lecture because she wont ask a test question on anything she lectured on.
Doesn't seem to care about the students. Asked for studying tips(I was struggling a bit)& was told that she "could not help me with my dilemma". End of email. Drag of a lecture. I did better reading the book on my own & showing up for the test. No recommendation here. Not helpful, goes off topic, lectures on things not tested on. Boo. Retire.
Tips for success with this professor. 1.Read the material BEFORE class. You will need to ask questions for clarification (especially for lab) and that's not possible if you don't know what to ask. 2. Study like mad. You'll need to know every bit of the material well for exams. She's not a monster, her class is just extremely tough.
She isn't a bad teacher, she just doesn't teach to my learining style and I don't retain much information at all in her class... I may as well not even go to class and do all the reading and notes at home. She is a good teacher, My learning style just doesn't mess with her teaching style at all.
Teaches with powerpoint slides verbatim from the textbook. No hand outs or study guides, no practice test and no extra credit work. She is a nice person but has a hardcore teaching style. Would not take her classes again.
Lindsey is very straight forward from the books and her notes. As long as you have time to read and study her notes you should do well. Her test our straight forward, and even have the questions out of the book. Hint all the words highlighted on the power-point expect to see them on the test!
She is a very hard teacher because she expects that the students taking A&P will be entering the medical field and that is a place where you need to be focused and mistakes can be harmful, she does not play games. To get a good grade: STUDY, be intrinsically motivated, and Think critical. I'm not going to lie she is tough, but she is good.
I hesitated to take her for A & P II because of so many negative comments. I am so glad I did take her. She is very structured, she goes by the book, she never rambles on.. she stays on subject.. I was able to stay focused during class. I learned a lot from her.... second time to take this class, failed it first time... previous prof. was a mess!
She is so HARD! You end up teaching yourself out of the book, class is pointless because she reads off the slides you can print off at home. She gets frustrated when you ask her any questions. I would NOT take her, if I had the option
Professor Lindsey, appears to enjoy watching 90% of her students drop, ie "Everyone fails the first exam." I asked her for help, and she told me to form a student group. Thanks for all the help. Did she think I couldn't come up with that on my own? Don't take if you work full-time, or if you take a full load. You and your GPA will be overwelmed.
I actually liked her as a person but she does not have a gift for teaching. She reads straight from slides and does nothing to bring the topic to life or make it interesting. Her tests are confusing and difficult to understand. Do not take her unless you can memorize 120 pages word for word.
I took her for microbiology. While her lectures are pretty boring, she reads straight from slides, and her lab practicals are super hard if you make a decent effort and read the book and do the reviews you will make a B. The final was super easy with 60 matching vocabulary terms and 40 going over diseases. Made a 96 on the final.
Took her for the summer mini mester. Thank goodness I has a hardship drop. Seemed very uncaring about the success of her students. Kind of like either learn it my way or fail. Most of the class dropped. Will never take one of her classes again.
Dr. Lindsey's lectures consists of powerpoints. She summarizes every chapter in her powerpoints and makes sure to highlight certain material that you will have to know for the exam. There is also extra credit involved. That really help my score go up. The extra credit was easily attainable. So you shouldn't fail that class, only if you didn't
Lindsey's lectures consists of powerpoints. She summarizes every chapter in her powerpoints and makes sure to highlight certain material that you will have to know for the exam. There is also extra credit involved. That really help my score go up. The extra credit was easily attainable. So you shouldn't fail that class! I highly recommend!
Organized. Provides extra credit, you just have to stick passed the 2nd exam. Exams are hard, but the material sticks with you even after the course is done, which is her goal since most of us are going into the medical field. Take her if you are serious about learning.
Not as bad as some say. Very straight forward and predicatable once you've taken a test and seen her "style". Study the book, study your notes. If you work hard you'll get an A. If you didn't get an A, you are probably lazy and wanted your hand held! It's A and P people, it's SUPPOSED to be hard!
its hard, but its suppose to be hard. She doesnt hold your hand.. fast to post grades. she reads from power point and sometimes gives examples. You have to do a lot of reading from book, A&P online helps, McGraw Helps and her notes...Spend time in science learning center and study hard, test can be anything from book and power point
She is hard. I would take her again if I had to. She is extremely knwledgeable of AP. She is helpful when asked questions. I also heard negative comments but I do like her as an instructor.
As person she is nice, as a professor not good. She just read the power point, her tests are really hard and she just offer 5 points as extra credit. This semester started with 50 person and now( 4 test), we are 12.
Took her class online none of the quizzes made sense. Not enough time alotted for a test with majority matching. very cold even for distance learning. Extremely unwilling to help quite rude and for a doctor couldn't spell the "medical" terms properly.
Horrible! The classes drag out because she reads from the slides and the test are horribly written, very confusing. She may be knowledgeable about the info but it doesn't show in her teaching. Would not recommend at all!
Dr. Lindsey is a nice lady, but my learning style and her teaching style didn't work. She follows the book with power point almost verbatum. Her tests were difficult with no study guides offered. She didn't allow you to have your tests back either, to see where you made your mistakes. She knows the material inside and out, just doesn't present well
I would not recommend this teacher AT ALL for any subject you are taking. To be quite honest, she is well past her retirement age and acts like she hates young people. She calls you out if you're even ONE MINUTE late, so if you're one of those who trickles in a few min after class starts do not take her! Hard grader, boring, & only 5 pts ex. credit
I took Dr. Lindsey for A&P1 and 2. She sticks to her notes and the text closely. Tests are HARD. Study and you will be fine. She is difficult but very fair and willing to help if you show you are willing to work.
Passionate and helpful. Test are worded, which is NOT correct, which can be really confusing. She goes easy on the lecture final (if you make it that far) ASK QUESTIONS in lab she will tell you things that she does not tell the class as a whole. Baaaarely made a B!
She was very helpful. She uses powerpoint presentations to cover all the material. She doesn't offer reviews before tests. Her tests are very WORDY. All multiple choice and matching questions only. NO ESSAYS. She doesn't give extra credit. If you read the chapter and attend class and take notes; you will do well.
Um NO, don't take her. You will literally be bored out of your mind. She reads off a powerpoint that is straight from the book, in monotone the entire time. She sticks to what she talks about in class, yes, but if you don't study, you won't do well. A and P is a hard class, so I would recommend taking someone with better teaching ability.
Her tests are hard. She uses foreign terminology. She tells you things that are not on the tests and then they are. No extra credit and she tests on critical thinking. She is long past retirement. I would not recommend her. I have taken her multiple times and she provesnto ot to be a fair or flexible professor.
Very helpful but you must want to learn the material. I found her very insightful and fair. She isn't going to give you a grade. You earn what you get.
this professor has reached her prime!!!! She is very old fashioned in her teaching methods and expects you to learn everything, even things that she never mentioned. If you want to spend hours memorizing the info. on your own, than by all means take her class, But if you want someone to actually teach you, than I recommend looking elsewhere.
Check your tests. Some questions are graded wrong. Tests are very hard & different from lectures. Every word in the chapters that each test covers is fair game for a test question. Do well in lab, it can help your lecture grade. Study with friends in other A&PII classes. Their reviews for tests might help you. Dr. L gives no test review.Good Luck!
I enjoyed her class and found her to be extremely helpful! If you try hard and do the work you will learn (even online!) and do well. I'm very glad I took A&P II with her!
The only reason I took her for A&P I is because she was assigned for my class. Other wise I would not have had her as my professor. Don't bother studying the powerpoint for the tests, you're better off studying the chapter in the book. Check your test because she'll randomly throw in a question that wasn't even covered in the chapters.
I would use her study guides and powerpoint presentations, like she would instruct the class to, for tests. However, when I would take the tests, many topics that were not discussed in the study guides and powerpoints were crammed into the test. I was not alone in this confusion, many classmates had the same puzzled look. Nice lady, but bad prof.
Worst instructor ever. When I asked for tips on studying, she told me"Read the book." I told her I was struggling, asked what I could do to help myself to better, and she simply told me to try harder. Not helpful at all. Lab exams and especially the lecture final are IMPOSSIBLE. I don't know anyone who passed lab exams or final. DO NOT TAKE HER!
Worst prof ever. Took her summer online A/P II,has ridiculous amount of coursework due each day, tests are 100 questions and are mostly "pick all that apply" or "place in order", tests so long never got to complete. NO help when contacted by email. Like, worthless. Even working my butt off, I did terrible in the class. SEEK ALTERNATE PROFESSOR!!
This class is not supposed to be easy. It is designed to test your ability/effort to understand important concepts. I took Dr. Lindsey for A&P 1 & 2. Made A's in both. There is no excuse to not make an A. Her tests cover material in the book and powerpoints. So read and study the chapters over and over until you get it. Review powerpoints as well.
This is not suppose to be an easy class!! You're studying he human body here. I love her online classes. Took her for I and II. I know what to expect from her, and it was not hard for me. Made A's in her lecture classes, but it really comes down to the lab. Made a B in I and I'm shooting for an A in II. Honestly online is easier than a campus class
Did great in lecture, but received a B in the course because of this lab. She is not clear about what will and won't be on the practicals. She doesn't teach well; she uses powerpoint images and expects you to learn the rest in detail. Horrible at emailing. Nice lady, but I'd take someone else.
Find another instructor if you can! Nice lady, but I got very little out of this lab. 30 minutes of "lecture" from a boring PP (does not contain answers to Qs on the Practical btw) then released to study models or leave. You can still do well if you're good at self study. Be ready to spend some time in SLC and definitely purchase the rec. lab guide
Dr. Lindsey was one of the best professors I have ever had. If you show Dr. Lindsey respect, you will receive respect in return. I enjoyed Dr. Lindsey's lectures, and always left class learning something new. As long as you attend class, read the required chapters and do online assignments, you should do well.
She picks the worst things to identify in lab. she uses rat dissection which are impossible to identify since they rats. They use crappy old diagrams that dont make sense. Studying is useless, you will make a bad grade even if you know the material because of the crappy lab diagrams they use
Did not like her class. I worked so hard but barely made it with a C. I had to retake the course with someone else and got an A. Teachers do make a big difference. She is just rude at times and not a lot of help. I would not take her again- EVER!!
It's A&P so it's not going to be easy. It's not supposed to be. I took her on-line class for A&P I & II and the material is laid out in an orderly manner. Her expectations are clear from day 1. You have to put the time and work in but you'll be fine if you do.
Dr. Lindsey is great. She doesn't bombard you with extraneous information. Reading the textbook is required and tests are difficult. But, if you read the material, do the homework, and show uppay attention to lectures you will do alright. There's a lot material covered and it is geared for those going into Allied Health.
Dr Linday is great teacher. I loved her for my A&PI lecture. She explain things to the point. She always tell stories about her love for animals. Make it interesting. Its hard class so expect to do work and study but it will pay off. Study chapters and pp. I'm taking her for my A&PII
The worst class ever. No test review, no practice, hardest exams ever
Dr. Lindsey is not a bad professor, I don't know why she has so many bad reviews. A and P is not supposed to be an easy subject, so you have to put a lot of effort into it.
I took Dr. Lindsay's class online and would take her again in the future. The quizzes are difficult, but you receive two attempts. The exams seem a bit easier and offer only one attempt. She is quick to return emails and post grades.
BEST anatomy teacher! I had to repeat and she is by far the best. You actually have a chance to make an A with her compared to my last professor.
I would not take this professor again. I have Lindsey for both lecture and lab. She absolutely does not teach anything in lab. She will release you to do your own work so it's up to you if u want to stay or leave. Do yourself a favor and take another professor!
Honestly, she is terrible. Don't get me wrong, she is a nice lady, but if you're looking for a professor that will teach you about the many functions of the human body, reply quickly and professionally to emails and concerns, and provide helpful feedback, Professor Lindsey is NOT for you. Very rude and very degrading. She does not assist in the Lab
Easy class, I would recommend her for A&P1. Her lectures could be boring at times but she does offer explanations during lectures. This course was easy and satisfying. I'm going to take her again for A&P2. Thank you Professor Lindsey for making this course as simple as possible.
Dr. Lindsey LOVES what she does. Her tests are difficult. She allowed a one page front and back study guide for the exams. Great Professor!
I changed career choices because of this class. By far the hardest class I have ever taken. I ended up dropping. Many of my friends get D's, and C's and are all very smart, but this class is designed to eliminate a lot of students. Lectures are so boring, death my power point. She rambles on and on about non related topics, but she does care.
My biggest complaint is that her test seem to have questions intended to confuse you, which i find infuriating bc the material is hard enough without purposely making it harder. Other than that, she is predictable and I knew what to expect with her. I only had her for lecture and had it not been for a strong A in lab I would have finished with a B.
I love this teacher. She has great lectures and makes taking tests easier. She lets you use notes. How many teachers let you do that on a test? She knows she teaches a tough class and she does what she can to help. Unfortunately I had to withdraw because my lab teacher wasn't as useful as her. But I would take her again.
She cares, but she's not very good at communicating the information. So many students asked if a question would be on the midterm and every time she said no. Guess what, on the midterm. All she does is read from the slides. Lovely lady, not a great teacher.
Took Dr. Lindsey's online lecture. She gives chapter outlines, & PPT's. Some chapters include discussion board assignments, but not many. There's quiz's, exams & a final. For the quiz she gives a printout of questions to look up the answers before taking the quiz. Remember that you are basically teaching yourself. So be ready for that.
She tells you that things are not on the test so you don't study them and BAM like 10 questions are on that subject. Her tests are impossible, I BARELY made a B, like I got a 79.5 that rounds up to the 80. Hardest class I have ever taken and I'm REALLY good at Anatomy, (I got a 98 in A&P1) , but she made me want to pull my hair out. AVOID HER!
Dr. Lindsey is a really nice lady, but shes not a very good teacher. Get ready to teach yourself practically everything. Lab is 10 times as hard. I ended up having to drop and took it at TR. This is a hard course, but it shouldnt be impossible.
Just reads off of power points that you could access from home. Very repetitive with common sense knowledge. Was not creative, was useless to come into class.
Tests and quizzes come directly from the book. She is extremely disorganized. The second half of the semester she stopped making consistent exams and left out whole chapters from the tests. Lectures are useless but if you show up to class there is chance of extra credit. I played games on my laptop or studied for other classes all of her lectures.
She is nice but I don't think teaching is for her.
She's tough, but fair.
Professor Lindsey runs a challenging but rewarding class. While lectures can be repetitive, she provides helpful study tools like allowing notes on tests. I found Unstuck study and the free textbook very useful for prep.
