Great teacher knows his stuff funny, not much homework, take home quizzes, not much tests,final is just a binder with all the things we did in the semaster not hard at all finished it in about 5 mins and got a 200 pass the class with an A in the classs... I do recommend this class highly.

The final would be a video about where you are in 5 to 10 more years. Super easy! Highly recommend.

Loved the way he taught the class. This was truly a great new student experience. It gave me a good sense of comfort to start of my freshman year in college. He also conducts fun activities and homework is real easy. Take him :) Don't be shy in the class room as well ... no one will judge. Remember, it's not high school. It's college.

He is a very understanding professor and very nice, he cares about his students and the students love him. He is a easy grader though, just do it and put some effort into it and you'll get an A. He does fun activities in class too!

He's the most understanding and coolest professors I've had. If you can't turn something in on time, a lot of times he'll give you some time to turn it in later. He's also pretty funny, and whenever he does lectures, he tries to make it the least painful as possible.

Jerrid was amazing. You do some reading (a chapter or 2 per week), but it really isn't heavy reading. The book is tiny. The lectures are interactive, so he likes when you give input and add your own comments and questions with the topics he discusses. Lots of group activities. This was the best class I've had at Valencia so far. He won't disappoint

This Professor is by far the best one I ever had! I had to take a SlS class and didn't read rate my professor but I'm so happy I got him. I promise you, this class is so easy. Just take him! Read the syllabus because there's extra credit opportunity but really you don't need. One page papers for each assignment, shouldn't take you more than 15 min

Prof. K is a great professor. He'll help you out if you need it and goes pretty easy on missing work if you have a good reason (e.g. I missed a week because I was at a national competition), and he's pretty lenient in grading if he knows you put forth effort. Class discussions are essential but fun, and he's a pretty funny guy.

I was dreading this class but it made me realize a lot about myself that I otherwise wouldn't have known. Honors requires 5 service hours but class size is much smaller which can be good and bad (forces you to pay attention). No quizzes or tests. HW every other class that's easy/based on personal reflection. An inclusive prof., he's also funny!

Very easy class. Dr. K was great, very entertaining but knew how to wind it down to make sure everyone learned the material. There are a lot of assignments-which are required by Valencia, but most are just quick papers about yourself. Show up to class and do the homework and you will have no problems, you might even have fun.

I honestly did not expect to love this class as much as I did. Dr. K genuinely cares about his classes and his students, and treats you with the same respect that you give to him. I would highly recommend taking him as a professor for NSE because although the course material can be a drag, he makes it fun and it's not hard by any means.

The environment that Professor Kalakay gives in the class room is very accepting. He gives you an opportunity to finish the homework before he grades it. There is a lot of participation in class. A lot of activities to do for subjects/topics that he talks about in class. I would recommend this class for anyone who is lost on what degree to take.

Really entertaining and relatable class. It's not a dumb class as it seems. He makes it very applicable to life and I learned a lot. Assignments are easy as well as grades. Just do your work. Dr. K's class was a breeze. There are a good amount of assignments (a number of which were group projects) but they were easy. If you put an effort in the class you can learn more about yourself, prep well for the future, and have TONS of fun. He allowed for late work and was a fairly easy grader. Definitely recommend Kalakay.

One of my favorite professors I've probably ever had. He's very nonjudgmental and based on his stories he's lived his life. He makes a class that everyone has to take (which is basically meaningless) and turns it into a class you want to come to. In his classroom you can expect a lot of laughter and smiles.

Took online, class was fairly simple, handful of assignments, discussions and a few test. Finished the class fairly quick as I started working on all the assignments way before they were due. Only had to wait around for the discussion and test to open, I would recommend.

I took this class online. Professor provides the course text therefore you save $$. weekly discussions, a writing exercise, and at the end a portfolio paper. Easy grader but does not really respond to questions. thats the only negative i can think of. i am taking him again this summer! :)

Dr. K is an amazing person. Self-described as shy, but engaging. Good lectures but too much reading off of slides (we can read). Fun activities. Not good at responding to emails. Have an issue? Talk to him after class. Assignments/tests are basically book reports: not challenging and do not promote critical thinking, being just a waste of time.

Dr. K has been one of the most amazing professors I have ever taken in all my time at Valencia, I never felt the dread of going to class like I do for others. He always greeted everyone with a smile and good energy for class. The class is part of the business program so there is writing involved but Dr. K will work with you and help you if needed.

Throughout the entire time I've had Dr. Kalakay I've loved going to his classes and had a great time and converstaion. He's what a professor should be. I have him for Leadership as well and plan to take him for the Capstone class. If you have the chance to take him for anything dont hesitate to do so. Amazing professor.

Great professor! Took H1 Class and it was very doable. If you read the material (free textbook), you'll know how to participate in the discussions and the module exercises. Midterm and Final are essay question test, and there's a Program Portfolio. Really enjoyed my time taking this course with Prof. Kalakay.

Easy class. An online textbook is provided. For assignments and exams, you'll usually find the answer to the topic or question in the summary of the chapter you are on.

What a caring professor that only wants the best for hist students. He grades generously and from what I can see just wants the best for hist students to pass the class. I would 100 percent take again.

GEB 1155 Social Entrepreneurship was the best business elective class I've taken. Instead of writing pointless papers the class is mostly short discussions. 70 word posts and two 30 word responses. Short multiple choice midterm, case study, final exam, final project. I wish every class was modeled like this especially the BASBOL classes.

Prof. Kalakay is pretty chill. He answers any questions within 24-48 hours. His class is pretty straight forward. A few issues accessing a case study, but he gave us an additional week to complete. He is fair. I hope you like writing papers because this course has quit a few of them you have to write (APA format).

If you are looking for a class that is not very lecture/homework heavy, take professor Jerrid! I took him for Flex, Term A and had the following assignments: -Discussions: 4 -Case Study: 2 -Midterm -Research project -Course reflection essay. Would definitely take him again!

Professor gives real life examples of subjects and does not give too many assignments but expects you to put good effort into the main assignments.

Dr. Kalakay is a great professor and his class is very enjoyable because he gives real-life examples and he teaches from his experience at work, he makes the class really fun and you won't have a lot of homework with him, just some group discussions, couple quizes and one or two research projects. Take him! you will be happy with his class.

I had this professor for MAR 3023 Marketing Management. I enjoyed this class. The teacher kept the assignments and reading material manageable and straightforward. This class did not stress me out at all. The teacher doesn't provide any feedback on assignments, but other than that, there's not really anything negative to say.

I loved taking Man3353 with this professor. His grading criteria are clear and he has realistic expectations. Not a lot of coursework at all, and easy grading but still makes the class enjoyable to learn from.

This professor was really easy. Was not work heavy at all + easy grader. Class made up of mid-term exam, final exam, case study and presentation, social enterprise business plan and presentation, and discussion board postings. Def recommend.
