Her tests are always completely from her notes, and she spells out what will be on the multiple choice tests the week before. All I did was show up on the review days and I managed to get an A in the class.

Hanible is great. Take her if you can. As an English major, I thought I was going to hate this class. It's one of my better ones because she makes it understandable. She even provides non-biology-ish examples.

Hanible is a good teacher. She will keep you interested in the topic, and only test her students on information she lectures on. I have taken her twice, and would recommend her to anyone.

Ms. Hanible is a great teacher. Her notes are all neatly written on the board. She always let the class out early, and after taking a 5min quiz the students are allowed to leave. She reviewed the day before the test, and everything you needed to study would be discussed in the review. We did NO OUTSIDE ASSIGNMENTS. She grades fairly.

She is the best biology teacher i have ever had. I wasn't good in biology in high school but now this class owns my best grade this semester.

This woman is awesome! You have to be lazy as hell to not pass this lady's class. Don't have to go every day but it is best so you can get all the notes. She gives a lot of notes but she reviews for the tests and she cuts out everything you don't need. Just study and do the out-of-class and in-class assignments and you'll pass

She is awesome! She is easy if you go to class. all of her notes are on the board. she gives good explainations of everything. 1st day of class: evolution:(haha) giraffs with the long necks got to the food at the top of the tree and when you eat you get happy when you get happy you have sex. and tht is why giraffs have long necks. lol. shes funny!

This class consists of notes on monday and wednesday and soem kind of graded assignment on fridays. The test are hard but the questions come from the notes, they are just rearranged and they make you apply what youve learned. This class is not as easy as its reviews make it out to be, but the teacher is definitely the hottest at slu.

She's very helpful. Goes to each station after telling the class the parts to make sure you understood. A quiz is given every class which helps with grades. Just make sure you study everything. Professor Hanible is a great teacher! She is straight to the point and willing to take some time when available to come clarify questions. Her test are hard, but it's the class that's hard not her. There is a quiz most days of class on the material learned the week prior, but it helps with the midfinal. 2 big test worth 175 each.

She was such a great teacher! Her tests were easy, but there were a few tricky questions and you had to study. Barely used the textbooks except for a few in class assignments. Overall, if I could, I would have taken her for GBIO 107, however, I could not! Would recommend taking!

She helped us a lot if we every got stumped on any of the labs, but for the most part she leaves you to do it by yourself. She tries to make you interested in the lab, and the notes are pretty specific. Definitely have to study for the midterm and final, but the daily quizzes are pretty easy.

She a really GOOD professor . You have quizzes every week to be execpted because you only go to the class 1 time a week. Gives you outlines what she expect on lab reports . Doesn't asks for whole lab report just a mini one . Is a tough grader on that . She never hardly responds to emails and when she does you'll most likely have the answer already

Mrs. Jerrie loves her subject and so she makes it pretty interesting! The format is pretty basic. There are four test, quizzes and in class assignments. She's a really good teacher and helps to connect ideas to help you remember. I recommend her!

She loves what she does. You will have a test every week that is nothing like the info you are given. She doesn't post anything on Moodle. You will know your grade after the midterm and the class before the final. PAY ATTENTION to the details. Had an issue during the semester and she got in touch with me immediately and was very sympathetic.

ms. jerrie is one of the easiest professors i ever taken. she would give you notes for another exam ahead of time so you can study up ahead. watch for quizzes though. be sure to show up for the review and she'll tell you what's on the quizzes and tests as long that you prepare yourself.

Prof. Hanible is very nice and lets you know exactly what she expects from you. There is a quiz at the beginning of every class, and sometimes the end, but she tells you what to study for each quiz. Most quizzes and the exams are fill in the blank, but she doesn't try to trick you. You just need to study and know the information. Would take again.

This is one of my favorite professors!!! I never liked biology but her lectures were funny and kept me interested which is very hard to do with biology. She lectures and on the class before the test she literally tells you everything you need to know, so if you at least attend that class, you should do fine on the test. I loved her class!!!

You can tell Ms. Hanible really cares about her students. She makes the lectures interesting and she is very funny. She's one of those teachers that understands that you have other classes to take care of. There is no homework. It's very easy if you study. A class where u dont even have to go if you can get the notes from someone. Anything hard, you wont cover it in her class. You must study for her tests, but if you've never done well in science you might with her.

It may have been because she hadn't taught us the entire semester, but she told us ahead of time exactly what would be on every quiz, as well as exactly what to expect on the final (and didn't add extra material). Hannible is easily one of my favorite teachers of all time. Ive always loved science but wasnt the best at it, she changed that. She makes the material easier to understand, loves making jokes to kind of help make it stick with you, highly reccomend.

Jerrie Hanible is truly an amazing professor. If you walk into her class ready to actually to do work, study, and focus you will do great. She is a great teacher and teaches the material amazingly. She even reviews everything the day before the quizzes and tests! It is so helpful so make sure you make those days. Study though or you wont do well.

Her class was very easy. She reviews the Monday before a quiz or test and the questions come directly from the review. She also can be funny, so it's not a terrible time in this class. I have to say that she helped me better understand how biology fits into the real world and it was not hard at all.

I did NOT want to take an 8AM class at ALL, but she made class interesting. As much as I hate waking up so early, I am glad I took her for my 1st 8AM class. She actually has my attention and keeps me awake. Also does test/quiz reviews which is a huge plus

LOVE HER!!! She was very kind and funny - her lectures are never boring. If you miss any tests/quizzes she won't let you make it up until the last week of the semester, so be prepared to wait for your grade. Notes are posted, but she says stuff beyond that, so you do have to take a lot of notes on your own (but she's easy to follow).

You will LOVE Ms. Hanible. She is super funny, and she genuinely loves teaching. All you really need to do is make friends and get notes from them and be there on quiz/exam days. But, I do recommend you try to attend every lecture. I've always hated Biology until I took this class. She does such a good job of making it fun and interesting.

She was a great teacher and I really enjoyed having her. She is really funny and made the lectures past by really quick. You get out early almost every day. The only thing I would say is sometimes on the test she will throw on stuff she never taught. But she does do a lot of bonuses so that kinda makes up for it. Otherwise, she is great.

Most of your grade comes from the exams. You need the notes otherwise will do extremely poorly. Besides the exams you'll have a couple in class assignments and around 6 online quizzes. Overall easy just need to study the notes for the exam.

I absolutely love her, I have her for zoo250 and I would take her again if she taught zoo 251. She changed her tests from 15 multiple choice and the rest written answers to ALL multiple choice. She gives notes and does not require attendance but to pass you need to go for the notes. I'm a average student, she was not a hard teacher to me TAKE HER

I had taken professor Hanible for ZOO250 (not lab) and I would recommend her for the course. She is funny, caring, and overall a good teacher. At times I had problems following her lectures as she moves quickly, her tests were difficult in the beginning as they were mostly not multiple choice, but that changed in the middle of the semester. An amazing professor overall, I definitely recommend her. She uses pictures and examples to make sure everyone understands what she's talking about and is passionate about what she teaches. I would take her again, but you have to study to pass this class. If you cheat you still do decently in class as well but with an average grade. Beware for quizzes are kinda difficult make sure you know what everything is and study for this class. Must go to class to type ur own notes she doesn't give out P.P. SO Test are 50 quest. I thought Hanible made biology easy to understand and her lectures were entertaining as well. The key to passing this class is to study material in advance!!! There are four exams, 5o questions each and no short answer. Just go to class and study, then you will do well in her class.

Hanible is a fantastic professor. During class time, her lectures are indepth and comprehensive; however, she very frequently cancels class. Which sounds like a blessing at first glace, but it is not. Material posted online due to class cancelation are great. But if the material is not explained after we return to class, it is useless.

The class is hard but you will be fine if you study, she also drops one test so that helps a lot. she also doesn't give many extra assignments so you need to do good on your tests to keep your grade up. other than that she is amazing.

The only main concern was that the room had so many people and she'd do random "pop quizzes" and you'd have to go down to put your paper up and then the next class when she graded it, you'd have to go back to get them. I took Jerrie Hanible for my Biology 2500 Anatomy and Physiology class in the spring of 2025. She is a very nice professor and has a sense of humor. She has 4 exams total, final is non-comprehensive. In-person exams, 50 multiple-choice , 25 fill in the blank. Pop up in class assignments and quizzes which she lets you work with others on. STUDY!

She is very funny and a good teacher but you do have to attend class, all of her quiz's are open notes but her tests are not and they are pretty hard. She gives very few assignments so make sure you are in class to get points for when she does do them

Good professor because she has visuals, slideshows, and good explanations. SHOW UP every class or you'll miss important information/assignments. I took a lot of notes and payed attention in class but if you don't go out of your way and teach yourself the material through other sources or learn more than what was taught in class, you will struggle!
