The toughest course in Asper (two mid-terms!), but Jerrod is great! I haven't seen a prof help his students as much a Jerrod; there's always a line waiting to see him. Great guy too. STUDY, STUDY, STUDY, this course is tough!

He's the best prof you can get for this course and it's the easiest it will get if you choose him since it's a generally hard course. Makes things simple in class and is an all-round nice guy. He's young so it's much easier to establish a rapport with him. If you take 9.110, pick Jarrod Falk.

Great professor! The most accomodating professor if you are the type of student who likes to get extra help. He is always available to you outside of class and in a course as difficult as this one is, it is an extremely important attribute. He spent an hour with me going over ratios! Great guy.

Falk is a truly awesome guy. He will go out of his way to help you understand something. He makes an extremely difficult course bearable. He is willing to help out with assignments, and is fair in grading. You can tell he places a tremendous amount of effort in teaching WELL.

Great prof! Explanations are clear. But the exam for this course is very challenging!!! But if you pay very close attention in class and do ALL the homework/readings on a daily basis, you'll do fine.

I dont understand the hot comments really i guess i just dont dig mullets. I mean sure business in the front party in the back but....back to what actually matters. He is a really good prof....just dont take this course after lunch too hard to maintain attention. O and since he is a good prof and knows it his tests are very challenging.

regardless of who you take Financial accounting with, you will find the material easy but the exams tough. This is because you really have to spent a lot time learning and practising the all the useless info and techniques that they dish out to you or you will forget them on the exams. Financial Accounting is all amount time the you want to spent

Falk is a very good teacher who is able to get his points across using everyday language. He goes through examples in class and posesses a sense of humour which is a key element of teaching in my book. My only advice is to practice problems over and over until they become second nature. If you want to succeed in accounting hard work MUST be done.

How do I start? Financial Accounting is an awfully tough course, but with Jerrod, everything is better. He is such a nice man, and is patient and always answers students' questions. He is also very good looking, which may infact be a distraction...at least it was for me. Good luck Jerrod, and thanks for being an awesome prof!

Excellent prof. Notes are very clear and easy to understand. He knows what he is talking about and is very organized. He does as much as possible to ensure that everyone understands material. Course is tough but i recommend this prof to everyone.

Corp Finance is hard, you must keep up with assigned work. Prof goes very fast and there is little time for real explanation. There is too much info for this to be a 3 credit hour course, it should be a 6 credit hour course like it is at U of W.

Cheeky. He likes to make fun of you and make you feel small. No sympathy or help. Don't take Corp Fi with him. Ruthless marker. Arrogant.

ACC1100 is not easy, especially if you took it in first term of U1 like me. Falk was good at explaining the concepts, albeit at times the examples were far too simple compared to the exam. Willing to help during office hours. Do the questions and old exams, and know the notes well. The exam will be hard, but with some work, you will get an A+.

Great prof for ACC1100. DONT listen to the other ppl saying hes not helpful. He was always willing to help me outside of class and go over TONS of questions and concepts. He never once made me feel small or stupid. He actually raised my confidence with school and gives good advice.Highly suggest taking him for ACC1100. The looks are just a bonus!!

Really good professor. It helps that he works through examples that would benefit you in studying. Honestly, midterms and finals are NOT that hard.. just start studying in advance and you'll easily do well. Oh and hes SUPERR HOT!!!

All around a great Prof! He teaches the material very clearly and if you have a problem he is more than happy to meet with you to explain the concept again. Professor Falk is also a very nice guy and if you are interested in a future in Finance, he is happy to discuss the field. I would definitely recommend Falk for Corp Fi!

Outstanding prof! This is one of the hardest courses I've ever taken at the U of M but taking it with him was really worthwhile. Prepare to work hard!

Not a bad guy, however, if you can manage take this course at the U of W. Sonja Carney (Admin f the course) has designed it in such a way such that students have about a 1 in 1000 chance of getting an A+. How you ask? Well, according to this imbacilic new rule you must get 100% on the quizzes or you get 0% ! So if you got 9/10 you got ZERO!

He is definitely one of the good accounting profs. His notes are organized and he's friendly if you ask for help. Make sure you go to class, do your assigned readings and questions and then there will be no surprises on the exams. Be prepared to work really hard.

This is my favourite prof at the University, I had him for Accounting as well. His lectures made everything make more sense. Ya the exams are hard, but that's because Finance is really hard. If you aren't prepared to work really hard, you shouldn't be taking this class, but if you are this prof will be a great help!

Very energetic guy. He definitely loves what he does. Makes the course more enjoyable. However, he is a very tough marker and likes to try and 'get you' on questions.

So bunk..... maybe its the course, maybe its the prof. Classes everything seems to make sense, come exam time, be ready to get crushed. If you dont put in hours and hours of time to this class, your're doing it 2+ times.

He's probably the hottest prof at u of m.. very good looking indeed. His teaching is alright but whenever he makes the exam the class average drops by 10% or more. Make sure to do the assigned reading and homework and go to ever class.

Great prof. Exams were pretty easy and nearly the same as the old exams but they'll find a way to change it ever so slightly to trick you so watch out. As for Falk, he's probably the best intro acc prof out of the bunch. He explains the questions really well. Oh and he's a really charming guy!

Great prof! Always willing to take time to answer questions. It is a hard course though so don't expect the easiness rating to be high. He is always willing to joke around and can hold your attention.

He. Is. So. Gorgeous. Oh, and he's quite a good prof, as well. The exams aren't SO bad, but you definitely have to make this class a priority. If you do, you should be fine. Especially if you take this class with him - Falk's explataions are perfectly clear. Mmhh.

One of the few professors that I will remember the name of 5 - 10 years from now. He is very helpful with students and he explains the material well. He is also always in a lively mood especially in discussions, lightens up the room, and makes you listen more. Really good prof.

Awesome Prof! I had falk for both corp fi and financial accounting and did great in both! finance requires A LOT of work, but if you put in the effort you will get the grade. overall great prof and I will definitely try to take a course with falk again!

Took him for financial accounting in summer session, he was a very helpful proff and always spoke with great enthusiasm i definately recommend him. As for the class its easy until the midterm then after it gets harder. Had 1 midterm (40%) 1 final (60%) DO THE BEST YOU CAN ON THE MIDTERM! final is a killer, one advantage is falk gives bonus marks

Excellent prof. One of the best in Asper, wish he taught more courses.

Took him for Fin. Acc. in the summer. He expects you to read the chapters before the lectures and labs. He explains concepts very clearly. Everything up to midterm was easy, final exam was difficult. I wouldn't say he's an amazing professor, but compared to other profs in Asper, he's well-versed and knowledgeable. He's got some funny stories too.

I'd pay the tuition to attend one of his classes again just to check out his attire. Aside from being a beauty, the man's intelligent and a great lecturer. His exams are difficult but that's just Corp Fi. Keep yourself caught up and you'll do fine. A+ prof!

He makes it seem easy... Too easy for that matter. Exams are way too hard. Every curve-ball concept gets tested, and you get very little time to stop and work answers out. If you don't know the material cold you won't finish the whole thing. Pay attention and do your homework.

Ask questions, want to get involved, and you'll do well! He's funny and very entertaining.

He is a really good prof and I really enjoyed him. He goes over basic and general idea of concepts in class, so make sure when studying for exams to go over all notes, txtbook examples, homework and old exams. The midterm and final exams are more difficult questions but if you go over all resources you have, you should be ok for the exams.

Pretty difficult course, you go through a lot of content pretty quickly. But, I would definitely recommend taking it with him.

Falk is very clear and gives good lectures, he really knows what he is talking about.

I really enjoyed this class and this professor explanations are clear and keeps you interested in the concepts you learn. There is one quiz, midterm, two group assignments and a final. The group assignments are quick and easy. The exams are challenging but fair. If you study all notes and all recommended textbook questions, you will do good.

I was terrified to take this class but Jerrod is an incredible instructor! The assignments are great practice. Also, his video conferences are super helpful so make sure you attend those. The sample exams have questions with the same concepts as those on the exams. I regret taking this online only because I would have really enjoyed his lectures.

Energetic and fun lecture. Hard grader though

Falk is the man, the best Finance professor at U of M. His course is extremely challenging, but that is due to the material. His tests are hard, if you expect to get above a B+ then you really need to work VERY hard for it. I took it online, I do not recommend anyone else do this.
