demeaning- will ask the class a question and wait until someone attempts to solve it, then after they mess up, shows his brilliance by doing it right

When he did answer my questions it was always in an arrogant way. He wasn't helpful at all.

I took Mr. Frang for intermediate algebra with geometry and would have failed if i didnt drop the class. I took Mrs. Almy for 098 and got a B in the class. Don't take Mr. Frang for any class. One word Jerry, coffee break. I didnt learn a thing.

Smart guy, but cannot teach. He can't explain very well and makes you feel stupid if you ask questions. From the first class, he makes you feel like it will be impossible before it even starts. No one cares if he can do a test in 10 minutes.

This man is the worst math teacher in the world. He is mean, and makes me feel stupid every time i ask a question. Get rid of this guy.

I think this guys is a nice guy when it comes to him himself. but when it comes to teaching he doesnt help you at all. he does like other people have said make you fell stupid at times and swares at you like its going out of stile DONT TAKE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr. Frang is one of those teachers that doesn't care if you learn. He does not explain very well and skips important steps in problem solving. He is a good enough guy out of class, but not a good teacher. Take Guo instead.

he is dumb and should stop smoking and start teaching the class. he will leave in the middle of an exam and go smoke.

When I had him for a teacher he tought everything backwards and I studied my ass off. I had to drop his class finally because I was failing so badly. Now I'm taking that class over with a different teacher and I have an A+. He is so confusing.

Jerry is a nice guy but he does not teach well at all. He confuses himself when he is trying to teach and he makes the students feel stupid when they ask a question. We had a sub the other day and she taught us in 15 mins what it takes him to teach in 75.

He is a very sensitive in how he talks to the student when they ask a question. I had 2 sub and they were like a spring rain in the spring- refreshing. I dropped the class.If you want someone to make you feel stupid or be confuse take his class.

I am not the best when it comes to math but this guy was no help at all. Really didn't want to answer questions in depth, needed to spell everything correctly, and his notes jumped around making it even more confusing. If you suck at math, don't take him.

I dropped this class about half way through. I should had drop it when I notice that 1/3 of the class that started was gone. He think that the book is not right and teaches his own way. It is confuseing. He is not helpful, but treat student like they are dumb. a very stressful class.

Expects you to learn everything on your own, out of class.. talks about aliens and time travel instead of math, leaves to get more coffee in the middle of class, calls students stupid, should be fired IMMEDIATLY. A+ in MTH-95, but low C this class.. if I'm lucky..

VERY unhelpful. Accepts no responsibility for most of his students dropping the class or getting bad grades, instead blames students for not studying at least '20' hoursa week. You'd have to study that long because he doesnt teach anything in class.. Not easy on grading either..

I hated math to begin with, but this guy was horrible! He would come to class 10 minutes late, wheezing because he had been downstairs smoking and keep you 10 minutes after to discuss why the buttons on a calculator were different from the telephone! I hated this class- dont ever take him!

does not make questions feel welcome. ridicules incorrect answers. tests average about 40% for the class

The first day of class he said "I am not here to teach math but to guide you through the book." He does not even do that he expects the class to learn on their own. A class of 21 only 3 are passing.

He will not work with students and has a bad attitude and blames his students for their failer when he is the one to blame because he will not help you. when you ask him something he also makes you feel dumb.

The wrost teacher I have ever had. Only a few people out of the class were passing.He belittles you and makes you feel stupid. He picks on people and if anyone else tries to help you out he yells at them for helping. This guy needs to get fired! Dont ever ever take him!!

I have had this class sophmore year in highschool. i pretty much took it for the credits and good grades. i had recieved a high B in highschool.His teaching is very off,if youd call it teaching.The first test the CLASS averaged 54% and the second was 60%. i think that tells you something there. bad teacher...

Mr. Frang is an ass.. i have had him for about almost 2months now and the last 3 tests we have taken i have failed.. so im really failing his class. i hope it gets easier.. all the other classes that i have had i passed with either an A or B.. so it sucks, i reall don't want to take this class next semester..BLAHH!! trust me, do not get him for a teacher.. complete ****!!

MEAN MEAN MEAN. He will make you feel bad about yoruself if you dont understand a concept. When I asked him for help he said "this is a high school level question" and refused to anser it. Frang is tired of teaching, which explains why he is such an ****. He tells his students he is not here to teach math he his here to guide you through the course. Do not take him unless you want to fail. over half the class is failing. He looks like santa clause's evil twin.

Worst teacher I have ever had. He coughs a lot, so if you sit in the front row, wear a rain coat.

I'd give this guy zeros if I could. He'll take the easiest example problem, turn it completely evil, and then if you try to solve it he'll make fun of you for 15 minutes until you've given up on living. Avoid him at all costs.

Like everyone else, first day of class he gave the same "I can't teach you mathematics" speech. He consistently acted like we should have already known the material, he wouldn't even complete answers on the board, just erase them and assume we knew the solution. Totally unapproachable. Don't take the risk, avoid him at all costs.

Do not waste your time with this professor! It's ridiculous that he's still teaching! Our class started out with 24 students and only 5 passed! He can not teach; even if you're a mathematics genius, he'll confuse and ridicule you. There are much better math professors at RVC, take Hessel or Clark instead!

Jerry Frang has no soul. He is ruthless. Mr. Frang purposely will take a question, do it wrong, and after somebody barely figures out it is wrong, he will ridicule the class for not picking up on it sooner. Who teaches like that? Rock Valley should fire him immediately. I am now dummer for taking his class. God bless freedom of speech!

as the person who commented below me may have you believe that only lazy kids drop this class is entirely crap. I even hear COMPLAINTS FROM THE TEACHERS about him. I know numerous smart people who have taken his class and his teaching methods are terrible, this semester he has only 1/2 of the people in both of his classes, that = bad

this teacher is the worst thing that has ever happened to the college of all time. he ruined my college career and messed up my classes. do not ever take his classes! waste of money and you will fail or drop out

This professor SUCKS!! he will ruin you and your college career! you might as well teach yourself the material than have him teach it to you because he is that BAD!!! most of the people in the class will either fail out or drop the class!! only a few students are actually passing! you will regret it for a LONG time if you take the class!! Really smart guy.. Unless your good at teaching yourself, and your classmates. Stay away from Jerry. Unless of course you have 5 hours a week to visit the tutoring office. And even though you don't learn anything from him, you HAVE to attend the class. or else lose 10% of your grade, which wouldn't be bad if he could really teach.

He will do half of a problem & then say "the rest is boring" Just leaving the unfinished examples on the board.He chastized me for taking notes during his lectures, constant coughing, loses his train of thought, told me NO when asked to go over test,nit picky grading system(taking 2 points for no paraenthesis,though answer was correct)

THIS IS THE WORST PROFESSOR IN THE WORLD!!!! He has no idea what he is talking about. He does not really know how to teach math at all. I just want to throw myself off a cliff sitting in his class. Frang is a "know it all" who seems to get pleasure out of messing with a students head by purposefully writing an equation wrong on the board and expects you to figure it out on your own. This guy is the worst teacher in the universe and i would never take any of his courses again! good luck in his class because that's the only way you will pass!

he does not explain anything just expects you to teach yourself. does not fully show how to do the work. and wants the steps but does not even show them in class. useless! do not take this teacher horrible!!!! if you do get him make sure you have extra help for the homework!
