He is a very nice guy but he is a little on the boring side. It is tough to understand the material sometimes. The class wasn't extremely hard but it wasn't really easy either.

I failed math 97 my first trip around with a different teacher. Mr. Graveman teaches my class very effectivley and asked questions only if the person puts forth effort

Great teacher! Test were long but he did give partial credit for anything that you did. I was scared I would not do well in this class but i came out doing pretty good.

Mr. Graveman is the BEST! I love taking his class, he is very helpful...but you just have to ask. I notice that he is very clear in his instructions and the way he runs his class. The only problem is that people don't listen!!! I couldn't have chosen a better teacher for my first math class at GSU!

He is not the hardest teacher but definatley not the easiest! I got a B in his class. You have 4 tests; the 1st two are pretty easy and the last 2 are hard. The test are pretty long too. But he is very nice, just very boring and shy.

Professor Graveman has a very dry sense of humor- if you don't get it there is a chance he is making fun of you. Set up weekly after class study sessions to help anyone willing to stay after. Good teacher if you're willing to do the work.

I have to admit that I was a little worried about taking Dr. Graveman because of other students comments. I think he is very helpful. Before he moves onto something else he will ask if there are any questions. He has a sarcastic sense of humor- but I like that! I would take him again if I had to.

Mr. Gravemen was a very helpful teacher. All of these comments are more focused on his personality and frankly, hes not there to be entertainment, hes there to teach you math. which he does very well. i recommend you take this teacher.

I absolutely LOVED Professor Graveman's class. I am more of a language arts person and am not typically good with math at all. Professor Graveman is a fantastic teacher and is great at teaching the material. Comprehended all the information & if I had to take another math, I would definitely choose him!

Math with Professor Graveman was somewhat hard. The good thing is he gives easy quiz's before each test, and you roll a dice to determine which problem the class will solve. If you roll a six you automatically get a 100 because there are only 5 problems on his quiz's! The tests are hard, but if you take the time to study the material you will be OK

I liked this class. Thought it was easy. No homework. Gives the quizzes a week before you take them. The tests weren't bad at all. He's a good teacher--I am taking him next semester too.

Mr.Graveman is an easy professor. He is fair with his grading. He also asks students if they have any questions, before moving on to the next subject. Homework is not mandatory, but it is very helpful, because some test questions come from the homework problems. He also has a great sense of humor!

Prof. Graveman is a great teacher to take Calculus with.. No dealing with accents or professors you can't understand, he gives you the quiz problems and only quizzes you on 1 out of 5 possibles, and he always makes sure you understand something before moving on. Homework not mandatory (but needed, attendance no attendence policy. Easy A if you try.

Be ready to work hard is all I have to say. You almost cannot miss any class or you will be confused out of your mind! You have to get notes from other people in class too because he won't have them. No HW, just 4tests, 3quizzes, and 3skills tests. He's the sweetest guy though so I recommend him if you're pretty proficient in math and a hard worker

His class was fair. It wasn't too easy or too hard. He goes through the material kind of quick. It is deinitely best that you attend class every day. I wouldn't mind taking him agian.

Graveman is a great teacher. he is the first math teacher I had to take in college and I am happy with him. Don't listen to people who says he doesn't care. Do the homework when he assigns it and you will do well. He answers all homework questions in class.

Math 99 isn't bad with him. You have to study the material or you won't pass. He is a pretty cool guy and will help you if you're showing real effort! If you skip class you won't have any idea what's going on. You receive the quizes a few days before you take them. The tests aren't as easy as the quizzes so rely on the homework to study!!!

Graveman is a great teacher. He assigns book problems but doesn't ever grade them and will go over any questions at the beginning of class. You whole grade is 4 test and a final. So make sure you are ready for them. If you don't the homework at least on of the test questions will come from the HW exactly. He goes quickly so DO NOT miss class.

He is probably the most clear cut professor's I've had when it comes to math. He gives hw, but no grade for it. He answers questions for the hw at the beginning of every class. He also drops your lowest quiz grade. There are 4 tests and a final. Do the hw/pay attention in class then you will pass. Attendance isn't mandatory but it helps if you do.

I have taken Calc twice (once failed and second time withdrew). With Graveman I found the topic super easy to understand. Quizzes are the exact same ones he gives you to practice with and exams are all very fair! Loved him and he was very willing to help when you ask questions or go to office hours! TAKE HIM FOR CALC 1!

Really enjoyed his class! This class ended up being my favorite class of the semester! He takes time to go over all HW questions and explains clearly if you don't understand something (He also doesn't grade HW). Do your HW and go to class, and you'll do fine.

I loved Prof. Graveman. He takes as long as the class needs to go over homework problems. He cares about you actually understanding the material. He doesn't offer extra credit but does try to manipulate grades to help you out. His class is moderately hard but that's just the material, he does a great job teaching it. Jerry is a very good professor. Calculus is somewhat difficult no matter who is teaching, but he did a very good job. You can also tell that he genuinely cares about each and every student and wants them to succeed.

It's math so there is there's gonna be a good bit of work but I enjoyed calc 1 with him more than any other class before. He grades tests typically out of 110 and isn't going after your gpa, he just wants you to know the content. He is good at explaining when you don't understand and seemed like a really good guy

Prof Graveman is one of the easiest calc professors. He doesnt require u to do his homework from the textbook but if u want a good grade, do those for extra practice. Easy quizzes and those quizzes are help u for test.

Professor Graveman takes his dedication to mathematics serious, hes not just going to give you the grade, but also understand brief calculus is a difficult subject. He provides 4 tests, 4 quizzes, and a final. Make sure you do all homework which is what the tests are over, and the final is over all the tests taken. Hes a genuine professor!

He is very nice and is the head of the department on the Gainesville campus. Very accessible. Walks through the math lab from time to time to see if his students need help and sometimes even help students through email. Strongly recommend him. So far, the best math professor I had at UNG. Just awesome. Could not recommend him more.

He was nice and I actually learned calculus from his class. He has lots of office hours and ways to reach out to get help. Fun guy but requires participation in class. Tests are so hard so you have to study a lot but there isn't a whole lot of them. Taught well and cared about students passing the class. Just do the work and you'll be fine.

He was the best professor for my introduction to calculus. He really tried to help everyone and he also went over the reading. Be prepared to have to work through the book, but it isn't mandatory. I always recommend him, doesn't matter what class

Great professor. He made understanding calculus pretty easy, especially for an intro course. He provided lectures beforehand and went over the study guide in class. There is mandatory homework on WebAssign, must be purchased separately. Class time is spent going over lectures and working practice problems. 5 tests + 3 minute skills test + final.

It's calculus, a lot of people struggle with it, but if you have to take it Graveman is an excellent choice. He's very good at explaining the concepts and wants you to understand them. You have to earn the grade, but its worth it if you put in the effort. Doesn't waste your time with silly assignments, his main goal is to teach you calculus.

Lecture conists of describing the concept, doing only easy practice problems, and occasionally dad jokes.

Such a kind and funny teacher. Occasionally does jokes at the end of classes to lighten the mood. He goes over the quizzes right before you take them, but occasionally changes the numbers so its not exact. He had a Skill Check which you took 4 times and he took the highest grade. Also gave back points on tests if you did well on exam at the end

Calculus 1 is a challenging course due to the concepts taught in it. However, a great professor makes a huge difference; Professor Graveman has many years of experience teaching it and has a background in engineering. His lectures will help prepare you for higher-level math classes involved in engineering; I highly recommend him 10 out of 10.

Does a good job at explaining concepts, but hw goes more in depth, you will have to teach yourself. Quizzes exactly like practice but diff numbers, tests similar to quiz and easy compared to hw. Grade based on 5 quizzes (lowest dropped), 5 tests, skills tests (taken 3-4 times, highest grade counts), final, and project.
