Professor Green is one of my favorite teachers of my semester... He gives you very detailed notes, and he makes sure you have time to write them down... He has quirky traits like always being under 5 minutes late every class. I recomend you take him... I am going to take him for other classes next semester...

Jay is hilarious, the material isnt always exciting but he throws in little stories to lighten the lecture. Take notes, skim the book and you'll do fine.

This is the best class I've taken so far. Jay is an excellent teacher and really made me want to come to class (not an easy thing to do). I would highly recommend Jay Green to anyone taking Psyc.

He is an excellent instructor. After 5 years of school, I still look back on my first semester of college with him and he is definitely one of my two favorite instructors. I highly recommend taking his classes, even if just for an elective. If you pay attention, you should definitely make an A.

Great Teacher!!He keeps the subject entertaining and is very funny. Show up to class and take your notes and you'll be alright. I am taking him again next semester. If you already have a big class load this is an easy elective for credit.

This man is probably the funniest teacher I've ever encountered. He gives you complete outlines of his lectures to take notes on and his lectuares are NEVER boring. Be prepared to be used in examples though, he's really big into letting everyone in on the action.

GREAT TEACHER! A must take whether a Psych major or any other major! Very interesting & thorough lectures using humor & lots of examples. Book not really necessary. Tests are not easy-some questions seem to have more than 1 answer. Show to class, take notes on the outlines he gives you, make your test cheat sheet (which he allows) = an A.

He is a wonderful teacher who is very opinionated, but it makes him that much more fun b/c he still represents all sides of issues. He loves what he teaches and makes it fun. He lets you use a cheat sheet on your tests which helps you study and of course helps you on the test.

He is an amazing teacher, sometimes a bit corny but that it just how he is. Gives you outlines and as well as a cheat sheet for the test you take including final exam. Test questions can be a bit discouraging sometimes but all in all, he is amazing.

I took Jay for Human Sexuality and Lifespan and I loved his classes. He is hilarious, and knows what he's talking about. He is helpful and wants to see his students succeed. Never used the book, only tests but can use a cheat sheet. Tests are very easy if you pay attention, and are basically straight off the notes. Highly reccommend him!

Oh my goodness I LOVE this man haha. He is by far the best teacher I ever had. He made me laugh so much well really understanding what he was teaching. He wants you to learn and truely comprehend I took this in a minimester and still managed a 98 or a 99. AMAZING. I skip class a lot but he made me excited to go to his class everyday.

he was great had notes made out where you have the term but when he lectures you take definition made lectures fun VERY funny and he was helpful, making sure you knew the subject matter he basically would make sure you knew what he said before you left, he lets you have a one page cheat sheet for every test makes it that much more fun loved class

Jay is a GREAT professor! He's funny and personable, and makes the class interesting. He initiates a lot of class dicussion, and makes sure everyone understands the material. He provides class notes for his lectures, and allows a cheat sheet on his tests. The tests aren't completely easy, but if you do the cheat sheet and study you'll do fine.

Jay is a pretty awesome teacher. Test questions come strictly from lecture, that is when he is able to get through the chapters. Very good teacher. He was funny and interesting, and if you fail the class you are just stupid. If you take notes, and you fill out your cheat sheet with all of your notes, you are guaranteed to pass/make a good grade. I made an A on all of the tests.

He's a very cool teacher. The tests are not easy but he lets you use a cheat sheet and as long as you fill that out, you will do fine. In class he gives you an outline and that is where all of the notes you need to fill out are, so there is really no need for a book. If you want to have a fun psychology class, take Jay's class.

Probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. His classes are fun, and his lectures are hilarious. He gives examples with almost everything we learn, and those really helped me remember all the material. The tests are a bit too hard, though. There's a lot of naming psychologists and attaching theories to them. Other than that, best class ever.

Great teacher! Disorganized at times but explained the material very well. We weren't required to buy the text and very seldom ever needed it. I enjoyed going to class everyday beacause he would always get us laughing the second he walked in. I highly recommend taking one of his classes.

Im currently finishing up one of Jays classes.Previous to the class I had multiple stragers tell me to take him for psych and he does not dissappoint. He teaches for real world application and in a style where he is talking to you not at you. I will definitely be taking another of his classes next sem.

J makes psychology fun and interesting. He has a great sense of humor, very down to earth. Lots of notes, he provides the outlines. Tests can be difficult, but take good notes and you will do fine. Multiple choice, with bonus questions. I plan on taking his next level class as well. He is very practical. His class is full at the end of semester.

He is a good teacher who provides the materials needed to learn what you need in order to succeed in the class. He has strong opinions and if you wish to comment in the class, be prepared to back up what you have to say and make sure you stand firm in your position and he will repect your beliefs.

Professor Green is a perfect example of a TEACHER. He is there to educate you and help you in every way. You should attend class every day since his test are based on the notes taken. There is only 4 exams for the grade and gives you the oppurtunity to make up a missed exam.

BEST PROF!! DON'T TAKE ANYONE ELSE or you WILL be sorry! Laughed my butt off every day, which made me remember the material and kept me paying attention. I want to take every class he teaches. I took jay for psyc 2301, 2306, 2308, and 2314. He is one of the best professors at tcc. He's class is intresting, engaging, and entertaining. You dont need to buy the book just come to class with his online outlines printed and you will make an A. He only gives 4 tests and you are able to use your notes. Wish he had more classes.

TAKE HIM! He is one of the best professors TCC has. His lectures were so interesting people were practically asking if the class could be longer. One of the best professors out there. Just finished taking his maymester class and I absolutely loved it. Waking up for an 8am class everyday and to have it for 4hrs is pretty tough, but he definitely made you wanna come and learn. Take him.

Greatest professor i have ever had! I also took PSYC-2314 and PSYC-2306 from him. After class he spent hours debating with me on the things he had taught that day, i learned so much from him. I bet was a constant nuisance to him, but he never complained once. If you have to take a Psych class Jay Green is the definite way to go.

I have taken ALL of professor green's classes. he is AMAZING. he makes you take notes on outlines and he explains everything by giving examples in life. everything you learn in his class you will use and remember for a lifetime! he is funny and i'm always interested in his lectures. he is THE BEST! :)

No requirement for a text book. uploads outlines that we have to print out and bring to class. which he lectures over. no quizzes but we do have tests. can use a cheat sheet during the tests. that we have to turn in after we are done taking.

One of the best teachers I have had so far. You do not need a textbook and there is no homework or Quizes. His class is based on his outlines that you take notes on and then you take a test there are like 4 test in the whole class and one of them is the final. His lectures were long but he always had the outlines put up online so you could take notes that will help. If you transfer all your notes to one folder you can use that on tests. So helpful and always in his office and great at replying to emails. No homework or quizzes, just take notes and show up for tests, easy grade.

Jay is a great professor. His lectures are very interesting and he is funny. There are 3 tests, 2 are worth 25% and the final is worth 50% of your grade. He allows you to have a folder front and back of notes. He gives you outlines to follow along with to take notes. The only way you fail this class is if you don't go to class. Easy A but you learn

Professor Green taught Gen Psych in an exciting way. Lectures are easier to understand with printable outlines. He uses in the internet to explain specific subjects visually. A test is given after every few sections, and he allows a cheat sheet. Show up to class, take good notes, you'll pass.

This class was very engaging and so much great information! He gives outlines for all his lectures so note taking is pretty easy but you MUST pay attention. His tests are a bit tough because they are quite engaging and in depth. Overall, he was a great teacher and fun class BUT this is not a "Blow-off" class.

Great professor. Only 3 test given. Final test counts for two grades. Will allow you to make notes on a file folder to use during the test. No book needed but you must be in class to get the required information needed.

Best Professor I've ever had. He's hilarious and knows how to teach the subject matter. He makes class interesting and fun to attend. Also, he doesn't make you do any essays or pointless assignments. He only gives tests and allows you to bring ALL your notes to( as long as you transfer them to a Manila folder). Take him, you won't regret it.

Undoubtedly the best teacher I've ever had. He's absolutely hilarious, and his lectures are super interesting. I would often find that everyone is so wrapped up in what he's saying, it's not even noticed that we're still in class ten minutes after we should've left. He allows you to use folders for the test. This is a class worth being excited for.

I took him for a summer term. He has outlines he posts for you to follow along. Although attendance isn't mandatory, the test comes straight from the notes we take in class. He lets you write any information on a manila folder as a "cheat card" you can use the test. As long as you have good notes, you'll pass with a high grade!

This was my favorite class. It is straight lecture, but he makes them entertaining and engages students. He is funny and actually cares about his students. If you take notes and do the folders for tests you will ace the class. Pay attention its fun and useful information.

If you don't get an A in this class, it is because you didn't go or you don't take good notes. I took him for 2 different classes. No textbook, which is nice. He has great lectures, will always answer questions and is easy to understand. His tests are straightforward and fairly short.

He is my all time favorite professor, taking him has made me debate changing my major, I enjoyed him so much that I took him 3 semesters in a row back-2-back! Definitely made my semesters! Loved this class, he makes it fun. Uploads power point to blackboard then goes over it in class. Test are kind of hard but he lets you use a folder to write down an much information as possible. (Then lets you use it for test) Never any homework. No textbook, Must attend class

This was by far the best class I've taken at TCC. He is such a caring, funny and smart man. NO book needed goto every class. take good notes 4 tests each with cheat folder almost impossible to fail. I missed making an A+ by like 1 point, but I'm okay with that. Attendance is mandatory if you want a decent grade.

I will start by saying if you're taking general psychology Jay is definitely the professor u want to take. He gives you every piece of information you'll need. It's only 3 grades in his class & those are 3 exams. He lets you use 1 sheet of notes. & he's real funny. It's never a dull moment in his class. He's so good I'm taking him for life span

Purposely took Jay for both general psych and lifespan. Clear grading criteria and well presented lectures makes getting the grade you hope to achieve possible. Attendance MATTERS! Exams closely follow lectures and googling things won't help you (I tried once) No textbook or essays, just listen to his hilarious lectures and follow outlines

Jay Green is an amazing professor, notably his lectures will not only provide a source of knowledge, but also of entertainment. It was always a pleasure going to his lectures because they are far from boring. Make sure to follow along and take great notes, your grade WILL depend on it.

AMAZING TEACHER. 4 exams, gives outlines, no textbook, and you get to use a cheat sheet for all exams. Doesn't mean his test are super easy, need to know your material. Need to show up since there's no textbook, I recommend recording his lecture b/c he talks fast sometimes. Super, super funny and interesting stories... TAKE HIM!

He has made psychology interesting. I haven't been in school for quite a few years cause I was in the military and he has actually made class enjoyable. He gives great examples and for tests we can use notes. Don't let that fool you though. Pay attention in class. It's actually easy! Would reccomend to anybody. I got a B+ on my 1st test so far.

One of my favorite teachers so far! Class is mandatory if you want to pass because his tests are 100% from the notes you take in lecture. His lectures are so interesting and he makes the class laugh a lot. He can answer any question and will explain a subject more in depth if someone doesn't understand. Great teacher. Great class.

I absolutely loved this professor . I failed psych the first time I took it and I was extremely nervous to take it again and I hated psych but leaving his class I loved it and loved him. I took professor green for basically every class he offering at TCC. He gives clear expectations on what he wants. He lets you use folders on all tests including the final. Word of advice is to write down everything he says! Not just what is on the outline he tests beyond to make sure you are paying attention! Loved his class he's amazing!!

Jay is a great professor. He is very laid back. As long as you COME TO CLASS, participate, and do your test folder you will do well. He doesn't use a book, but the test info is in his lectures. Everyday I was able to leave the class having all of the material pretty much down, and if not, we were allowed a folder on the test. No textbook, but you must come to class, and you have to be actively paying attention to understand whats going on. HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM

There are 4 test overall thats all that will be graded he lets you get a Manella Folder and write notes on it all over for the exams. All you have to do is take notes in class. Hes also very funny and makes lectures go by so fast. Highly recommend if you want an easy A.

If you havent taken Jay then you need to as of yesterday. Hes really awesome, if you come to class and fill out the outlines then you are going to pass. There are no trick questions. He loves his job and is more then willing to help his students understand psychology when they are lost. He makes class interesting and interactive.

The only thing I regret from this class is taking it on a wintermester (11 day course, per a guidance counselor's request) and not during the full semester! Jay is hilarious!!! He is so level headed and gives real world examples. His outlines for class make everything so simple. He wants you to understand. He doesnt care for making students memorize things as he wants us to actually understand them. There is a total of 3 exams which was so easy and like a breath of fresh air. Wish he taught others!

You are doing yourself a disservice if you don't take him. I took him for both gen psych and lifespan and made A's in both. You are only graded for the 3 tests you take but you can bring a manilla folder for reference in which you can write down what ever you need. He is honestly one of the best professors at TCC and gives great lectures. Take him!

This is the best professor ever. He is really understanding and does a great job of explaining the content. For each test you get to use a folder to write notes on, so as long as you took decent notes you will do perfectly fine on the tests. Do not miss a test date because then you will have to wait until the final exam date to take it.

Jay was a good teacher. He does not teach from the book, so get ready to shift learning style. He tests on the outlines that he provides. At first it seems easy, but it can be tricky because not all the answers are in the notes. You have to listen to the additional stories he tells to get the full answers for the test. All in all a good class.

Mr. Green is a very caring and passionate teacher not only about his profession but about his students as well. Very inspirational, he is one of the reasons I changed my degree to psychology. Pay attention to his lectures and be prepared to take a lot of notes but overall very easy professor.

I took Professor Green's 2301 course online during COVID-19, and despite his many jokes and laments about online learning, his lectures were always very interesting, engaging and funny. There were only 3 grades (2 tests and the final), all of which were totally open note. As long as you pay attention to the lectures and take notes, you'll be fine!

This semester was all online due to covid, but he didn't let that get in the way of being entertaining and accessible during the course! His class is lecture heavy and he gives you a study guideline to use to take your notes. follow the guideline, write notes though the lecture, and you're good to go. he's an amazing professor, I highly recommend!

Very Lecture Heavy. You have to watch at least one lecture a day so you don't fall behind. The lectures are 1 to 2 hours. However, his exams pretty much follow the outline so as long as u pay attention to the lectures enough to write down the answers to the outline you should be good. Pretty interesting class and interesting professor.

Jay is awesome! He loves what he does and is very relatable and funny. I have taken both General Psych and I am finishing his Lifespan course and I look forward to every lecture. No homework or assignments, just 3 tests (using a manila folder with your notes) for your grade. Very easy if you write down as much as you can on the folder.

Professor Jay is your funny uncle. He loves his students and makes sure we know if there is nobody in your life that cares he does. There are only three exams and they are open notes. If you just want to pass psychology, take this professor because he allows notes on his exams. If you want to strive for an A, it's risky since his grade book consists of only 3 exams. Other than his class layout, he is hilarious and always engaging with the class. He is one of the best and most humorous people that you can find around TCC.
