I have taken 3 Geo. classes from Jerry and recommend him to everyone. The ammount of knowledge he has in all aspects of Geo. blows my mind. I wish all of my teachers had as much enthusiasm and integrity as Jerry.

I can't say enough about Jerry. He is the model instructor-organized, compelling, interesting and funny. It is a pleasure to learn in his class. Hey and learn you will, he's not easy but pay attention and you will learn some really interesting stuff. I highly recommend him to absolutely everyone.

Jerry is a fun teacher. Expectations are pretty clear. He gives you a study guide for each test and if you use it the tests are very easy. He knows his stuff and makes most of it very interesting. Take a class with him and you wont be sorry!

Very energetic! Shows enthuaism for the subject, and has a broad knowledge of subject area. He travels a lot and has tons of powerpoint presentations that adds to the class. He is very funny and easy to get along with. He also gives a study guide of questions will be on the test! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Everything everybody else has said is true - Jerry is really helpful and willing to work with students more than any other professor I've dealt with.

What a nice guy! You can tell that he loves teaching! Classwork isn't too demanding and if you have any questions, he's more than happy to answer them. He's also pretty lenient when it comes to attendance...he doesn't care if you show up late, as long as you show up! What more can you ask for in a teacher?

This guy absolutely rules. Everyone should take any of his classes they possibly can.

If you just need credits and don't really care about how you get them this is the class to take. You don't have to show up, if you do you don't have to be on time, and he gives you a study guide with the test questions and answers on it a week prior to the test. What more can you ask for?

Good Teacher. Its very useful if you attend all of his classes. He is helpful and very knowledgable. He tells interesting stories. make you want to know more about Geography.

One of the best professors I've ever had. His classes are very enjoyable and you will definately learn a lot. The tests are not easy, but if you actually use the study guide you will do fine.

As fair as they come. jerry will tell you what you will be tested on. His voice is a little too soothing, it could put some to sleep,( Jerry is very calm and collected) but the the course work keeps your interests in focus

Jerry is a great guy and a great instructor. He is really concerned with making sure everyone really understands the material, rather than simply being able to regurgitate it. His assignments are varied and actually enjoyable. His extensive travels give him a unique perspective on geography and the material he presents in class is very compelling.

I get teased about being obsessed with Jerry Kramer and I kinda am. He is a great prof. I had no interest or understanding of this subject,but his teaching style made it interesting easy to follow. He's fair and provides you with ample class notes and study guides and reviews. Show up to class and stay on top of the work, he will not let you fail.

Jerry is a very genuine guy. He's traveled extensively and it comes out in his teaching. He's very thorough and gives good notes and study guides. He's very energetic and says things that make you think. I found his foreign film assignment fun to do. He makes you feel like HE wants you to do well.

Smart guy and well traveled.His class was a breeze as long as you listened and went to class.He's very interested in his classes and it shows.He sometimes gets very disorganized because of his large classes sizes.I certainly recommend taking one of his classes as he is smart, very nice,easy to get in touch with, helpful,and you may learn something.

I took his class online and it was such a breeze. There was no text book; he uploaded articles for us to read and then answer questions about them. Tests were not open book, but fair, and fairly easy. Other students I have recommended his class to share my opinion. Oh, and he's hot.

Minnesota Geography was a little different than I expected, but still interesting. The online section was pretty straightforward. He is clear with expectations and there are no surprises on the test. If you study you should be able to attain a high mark.

Take Jerry's class! He is a wonderful instructor with a wide range of knowledge in a variety of topics. Above all, Jerry is fair and honest. One of the best classes I've taken, I enjoyed seeing the world through the pictures he shared with us. A great asset to MCTC and an all around wonderful human being.

Like this class, lectures aren't mandatory...he will excuse them as long as you let him know ahead of time. The lectures can be a little boring and slow but I would definitely recommend going to the lectures, as they are closely related to the tests. This class is graded on your attendance and 3 tests. Great class, I would recommend taking it!

Jerry is a wonderful man, but he should perhaps rethink teaching an online course. He evidently went out of the country as well as injured himself during our course, and was unavailable for over 2 1/2 weeks during a summer course. That said, fabulous subject, engaging, and pretty easy exams. He was very apologetic as well. You will enjoy the class.

Jerry is so awesome! Just finished with The Physical Environment summer coarse and it was great! He has at least one visual (if not 20) for every piece of information in his lectures. He makes everything so easy to understand, and I found that I didn't have to study much to get an A because everything was explained in class. Highly recommended!! :)

Another wonderful professor at MCTC! His passion for Geography translates into his lectures. No homework, but I recommend that you make it to the lectures. If you can do that, you'll have a fairly easy A. He is funny and very understanding to his students. One of the best at MCTC! Highly recommend Jerry! P.S. Don't buy the book. Not needed.

this prof. is awesome! Attendance will be excused if you need it to be and he will not judge. Basically gives the answers to the tests and has a bunch of information about the subjects he is teaching! I can't rave enough about him. No homework but show up to the lectures...answers to the tests are given. AWESOME!

I have taken 40+ classes from MCTC and Kramer has been my ultimate favoritest teacher ever! the best class i had ever taken :) i could apply everything i learned to real life! YOU WILL LOVE THIS PROF TOO!

Jerry is the man! Very relaxed about attendance but I recommend going. He teaches you everything that will be on the exams and provides many visual aids as well as providing study guides. Very good professor and a nice and understanding guy.

Jerry is an interesting person. Nice and funny. He makes class interesting being that the topics are so freakin boring. The slide shows and pictures are helpful and his notes are VERY HELPFUL in making sure you have the right info from each chapter! He is def the teach to have for this subject & u can tell he Loves it!

Jerry was soo helpful throughout the entire semester! Lectures of course (with any teacher) can get a bit long, but he made them much more interesting with all of his visual aids! and his stories. he was also very straightforward about what would be on the test. gave study guides and what exactly was on the study guides was what was on the test.

This guy is awesome, still attending class. He doesn't mind your attendance, however a lot of the stuff he speaks of in class will end up on exams. Show up, and enjoy. He's a good guy.

Jerry is a really good teacher. MCTC needs more professors like him. He's a visual professor and knows what he's talking about. All you have to do is show up to class and do the study guides. He gives you the answers to the study guides and the exam questions are the study guide questions. No tricks! His classes are fun to be in too. Funny and nice

I thought his class was a bit too easy. But if you have an interest in Geography you can learn a heck of a lot. Awesome and passionate guy, I suggest taking any of his courses.

Loved this class, no little assignments just three tests. which were pretty easy if you go to class and do the study guides. He uses a lot of pictures and examples in his presentations and i thought they were really intersting. I didnt use the textbook at all and it was like $150.

His class was easy but you have to study. the tests are not very hard. He is VERY ACCOMMODATING if you give him a heads up. Very cool guy hes more laid back and like a friend. Probably one of my favorite professors at MCTC!

Jerry is a truely refreshing instructor to have at MCTC. He has a sense of humor!Though 95% of classes is based on exams, if you read the study guides, take practice exams and show up for class you'll do fine. I missed an exam for health issues and he was more than willing to help me make it up.

I'm not particularly interested in GEOG, I took Jerry's class because it fulfilled a requirement. I expected it to be pretty boring, but one day Jerry took some time to tell us a little about himself, his past, etc. I really appreciated his encouraging message, and it motivated me to pay attention and study. Jerry is a great prof and a great guy!

He takes a subject that could potentially be excruciating and makes it fun! He has a great personality which made it fun to interact and come to class.

Take this class! Kramer is an amazing teacher. If you listen during class lectures and study the packets he hands out, your golden! There is NO homework. He gives out packets so you can follow along during the lectures and pay attention, but then he gives the answers on D2L before the tests, so you can study from them. Easy and Interesting!

Jerry rules! He's totally hilarious and you can tell he loves his subject area. This class was super interesting! He doesn't use a textbook, only print offs from D2L. He goes over all the study guide questions after each chapter and the exams are easy!

One of the Best, Funniest, Most helpful Professor I have ever had if not the best. Don't waist money on buying the book. Just show up to class & pay attention. NO homework is given & if you read the class notes, do flash cards for the vocab, you will get an A. If you get below C on the 1st try, you'll get a second chance to get at least a C.

Jerry is the best! I had him in my first semester at MCTC, and I imagine he will be hard to top. Interesting subjest matter mixed with Jerry's sense of humor and his passion for teaching makes this a MUST TAKE CLASS!! Enjoy.

Jerry is easy to get along with and puts extreme emphasis for students to feel comfortable with subject matter. He’s very clear on what the chapters are about and what will be on the tests. Class time does include full lectures from professor.

I really enjoyed the Peoples of the World that he taught. We used the textbook once and the lectures were very interesting!! I would highly recommend this class!

Only part way through the course but I love Jerry! The class is simple but not easy. And he makes everything easy to understand.

I am really enjoying this class! Jerry's passion for geography really is contagious and makes learning fun. I feel as being from MN I'm learning information that I've always had questions about. I'm part way through the class and plan on taking one of his classes next semester.

The class is very interesting, and honestly it rekindled my love for what Geography actually is. The class is very straight forward packed with a lot of information about geography and real life events. The teacher is very understanding, smart and very funny. The tests are a little tough but that's okay it is college after all overall great class

Jerry has a different style of teaching than most professors I've encountered; but it is refreshing to have someone who doesn't teach directly from the book. There is no textbook for the class, and all the criteria that you will need is provided on D2l. He has obvious expertise, and has traveled to over 50 countries to back it up. just go to class.

A couple weeks in his class and everything was straight up forward. Jerry makes everything clear. He makes the class fun, and his quizzes and test are straight forward. With the class being text free and online notes, he makes me able to learn better. I love the grading system because it shows that he cares a lot about his students.

Professor Kramer is passionate about what he teaches, he goes out and wild for you to understand his material. He brings stuff to class to look at and touch. He really cares about every single student he has. He is funny but he does have high expectations of each of his students, wouldn't think twice if I had take his class again!

Jerry was one of my favorite professor's at MCTC so far! He has a great sense of humor and truly enjoys teaching . The class wasn't hard for me, but I enjoyed it so much that the tests, quizzes and assignments were easy, if you take the time to study. Jerry's best quality is that he truly cares about his students, and will be there for you.

Jerry is definitely a very sweet guy. He makes it clear that each individual student is important and that he is there to help us learn. The only somewhat negative thing I would say is that his lectures can get a bit repetitive and takes too long answering each question, which some people I guess might say is a good thing.

This is the best teacher I've ever had at MCTC. Jerry is so kind, passionate, and extremely helpful. He will guide you the entire way and gives you the option to retake. His test are not easy if you don't do the study question. If you do the study questions, you will do well in this class.

Jerry is a good teacher and a great human being, I found his lectures to be entertaining but a little disorganized. He really plays to the lowest students so it might be slow if you get the material. He uses his own material and pictures from his travels. Not sure how the class average was 77%, easiest class I have ever taken.

I really enjoyed taking Jerry's class. It made me wish I was majoring in Geography so I could do my research with him! Definitely one of the nicest, most passionate and caring professors I've ever had. The class is lecture-based though, and most of the notes are verbal. Make sure to write down what he says in class and you should do fine on tests.

Professor Kramer is a really nice guy. He has a very clear grading criteria. The whole class is based on three exams and he gives you a study guide and preps you well for the exams. As long as you study there should be no issue passing this class. He lets you retake tests if you don't pass. But the highest you get is a C. Would take him again!(:

Professor Kramer is great, a really nice guy. Attendance isn't mandatory, but your grade will be effected if you skip class/have unexcused absences. It's kind of on you to make sure you are reading the chapters provided in D2L and properly preparing for the quizzes.

He gives you a study guide with the answers for the exams which is so helpful. I really appreciate how much he cares about his students. He almost makes me want to be a geography major so I can take his classes.

Professor Kramer is not just an excellent instructor, but also a very decent person. He is empathetic to your life circumstances, and will listen to any question or concern you might have. While his tests aren't incredibly easy, he goes out of his way to make Geography intriguing enough to where you enjoy learning about the course material.

Jerry Kramer is a wonderful person and the professor to choose! 1) You will not need to buy a textbook (everything is available online) 2) Provides guided study materials 3) If you don't get at least 70% correct, you didn't read the study guides! 4) Jerry makes class fun and informative!

he is a really good and caring teacher

I don't know how anyone could take his class and not love him. Even though it was an easy class with easy tests, he taught a lot of interesting material that he was clearly passionate about, and I learned a ton. Sure you could entirely tune-out lectures and still pass, but he makes class fun enough that you don't want to.

Love his lectures. You could easily not go to class and still ace the exams, but his lectures are interesting and fun so you won't want to miss them. The class itself is very easy, so this would be a solid choice to add on to a full schedule. No homework.

This was the first college course I took and Jerry was the perfect professor. Extremely nice and laid back. The lectures were as interesting as they could be. He knows what he's talking about. I felt so welcome and could relax in class. Tests and quizzes were easy if you paid attention. No textbook, no notes required (at least for me).

jerry is awesome and smart. no textbook. hybrid class meant attendance not mandatory as long as you let him know ahead of time. 90% of grade is his tests which is 25 points (about 20-25 q's) super easy if you study!!! he gives you a study guide with all the answers just memorize it and you'll get 100%. in class you'll have cool lectures everyday

Jerry Kramer was one of my favorite MCTC professors. His MN Geography class is essential for any college student in Minnesota. This was an information-rich class but he makes sure you have what you need to be successful. If you're thinking of taking one of his classes, DO IT!

Amazing teacher attendance was not mandatory but it was recommended to be in class that is how you pass. Understanding and has multiple modules that each end with a quiz that have specific pre test/ study guides attache to them. The only thing that may bother some is his lectures however I did not mind them at ALL. Super sweet guy, take the class!

Jerry might be the most caring and accepting person you'll ever meet and have a class with. If he notices you are falling behind he will try to help you and offer help. All he asks is that you try.

I took Jerry for Minnesota Geography and Human Geography. He has definitely been my favorite professor during my college experience. He is super understanding and loves to tell stories! If you do the study guides and memorize the answers, you will do just fine on the test!

Professor Kramer taught about the state of Minnesota in a way I never really thought about before then. I had a better understanding of where we live on planet earth, the land around us and the good and bad parts of early history here with the settlers. When I had issues I could contact him outside of class easily. Responsive, attentive, fun.
